well in my drumline there is one guy that is better then me. Freshman year i played bass 1, he played cymbals. Sophomore year i played bass 1 he played bass 3. This upcoming year I am suppose to be playing snare. We are having try-outs just in case someone comes in that we don't know about and he keeps talkin crap bout me when he can barely play. my arms are short so i have a little trouble doin some stick tricks right away but with practice i get it. he makes fun of me about it when he can't even do it but he makes fun considering he doesn't have to show that he can or can not do it. what was funny was when he picked up my snare when i was helpin the other snare with his music and tried to play it and put it down. he doesn't think i noticed but i certainly did and so did my old director and the captain. Our director had us in what part he wants and out drum instructor isn't going to change that lol. in a month i will tell you how it goes. I'll be playin snare baby. Sweet

in my drumline there is this guy i know. when we were in 7th grade he played bass(not sure what number maybe third)well he wasnt like that then but when we got 8th grade year he changed a lot.on the first day not even school but band camp he was just so annoying!!! then he said he was going to be a snare player. i told him that there are only three count them three snares. he said that i cant talk because i am not important because i was "stupid pit captain". i told him straight in his face that i worked hard to get were i am and i dont act like a jerk to other people and that is why people like me better than you. even the instructors.all of them.he got so mad he just walked away. but when he auditioned i was there as a section leader. he was not even close to getting the part but he got the part because he made his dad buy him a snare and give to the school. then he came up to me and said that he was going to get the part. i said you only did because you basically bribed the BD to get the part.he said that he was still better than me anyway.when he said that i got so mad.before i even did pit i was in drumline (battery) and i had to learn how to play everything.snare, tenors, cymbals, and bass and my drumline instructor siad i was an amazing drummer and mallet player so he shouldnt talk.so through out the year it was him+the snare line.then he tried to compete with me in mallets and drums it was so very annoying.he even tried to learn four mallets because he knows i can play everything i know on four mallets.even tic tok clock which is a super hard exercise to play on two mallets alone. bottom line i always win haha. oh and he is very, very,VERY, ANNOYING!

Its sorta a short story.. WELL in middle school band I was second chair above this guy (3rd) who seriously believed that I only got 2nd because the girl teacher liked girls better. The poor guy couldnt even play a scale. *Tsk tsk* He was sorta a derp and had no rhythm so I just decided to ignore him. All the other guys were nice to me though^-^

The problem with our guy is not only does he think he is better, he also thinks that he can flirt with the other's drum line member's girlfriends. I got to snare and I going to be center snare and possibly Drum line captain. He still is playing Bass 3. Oh wait he'll get 2 next year since it it harder then the other three. Yeah two of the freshmen this year and one next year is gonna move on faster them him.
