A small breeze hit Daichi as he roamed through the night. He was near a small field and where a pond appeared to once be. Daichi sat sadly under the sky full of stars and sighed. He then looked up to see the sky's glittering stars and wished he could see a shooting star to make his life long wish... To find someone right for him.

 Royce pulled himself from the depths of a shadow at the base of a tree. It was sort of a teleportation method that his element allowed for him to do, only with places he had been before, and only if there was a guaranteed shadow on the other side. At night, almost everything was draped in darkness. Manipulating the shadows was definitely a useful skill during the right time.
The white-caped Illumen had came out to this particular field as a means to relax. He tended to have dreaded headaches from time to time and needed a quiet place to soothe his thoughts. Starlight shimmered off the lenses of his glasses as he stepped through the tall grass. Roy sighed wistfully as he let the breeze run through his silky crimson hair and continued to walk silently in no direction in particular.
His red markings glowing faintly against his dark fur, Royce thought he was just seeing himself as he caught a glint of scarlet in his vision. However, as he turned his head to look around, he noticed a red-pelted character sitting not too far off from where he was standing. Some one was already here?

Daichi turned his head as he heard something near him. There was a white capped illumen with red roses that seemed to see him sitting there. 'Must be a girl if there is roses on them' he thought to himself and sighed. 'Maybe I can try to like females more...' he added to his thoughts as he tried to smile, "Who's there?" he asked expecting a girily voice.

Royce blinked as the other Illumen turned, and he easily made out the male's frame and gold markings out from behind his glasses. Albeit, he was a bit bewildered on how to respond when the other inquired to who was there. "Uhh, Royce." he called back in a cracked voice that was clearly not used to being raised in pitch. He then mentally smacked himself. 'How would he know who 'Royce' is?' The dark male sighed and cautiously approached the other, head held low. "I mean... erm, I'm sorry if I disrupted you. I didn't think anyone else would be out here at this hour..."

Daichi's eyes widen and ears perked as he notice that the illumen he thought was a girl was really a quite attractive male. He blinked, "Oh no no no! You didn't disturb me..." He told Royce, "Royce, that's your name right?" he added as his heart started to pound a little but not enough for him to fully notice. "Would you like to sit with me?" he asked boldly.

Royce felt a bit relieved that he hadn't intruded upon anything personal and smiled shyly at the other male before nodding in confirmation at his question. "Yes, Royce or Roy. Either's fine." he noted. He looked curiously at the red Illumen, a bit flustered at the invitation to sit next to him. "Ah, sure. I don't see anything wrong with that... Thank you, um... pardon, I hope you don't mind me asking, but what's your name?"

Daichi smiled, "My name's Daichi... but you can call me Dai if you want" he told him. "So what brought you here? I only come here when I'm upset or when I need to think" he added as he looked back up to the sky.

"Ah, pleased to meet you, Dai." he murmured pleasantly before tentatively taking a seat next to the newly acquainted Illumen. He looked at Daichi at his inquiry before shrugging slightly and looking up at the starry backdrop of the sky. "Same reasons, I suppose... though it's usually to calm my nerves when I get a rather horrid headache every now and then." he replied quietly, not going into depth of what the headaches were about the majority of the time.

Daichi looked over at him, "Headaches? That doesn't sound pleasant.." he mentioned as he sighed thinking that there was no way he was bi or gay. He took a deep quiet breath and looked back up at the sky, "I've been coming here since I got here... and have never seen a shooting star... It's hard to wish upon a star if that star doesn't come..." he blabbered not exactly knowing what to say. Daichi was happy enough with another illumen near him, maybe even more than just that.

"Not in the least bit...." he responded with a soft frown. Royce continued to look up at the sky, trying to find the constellations that Bowie was so brilliant at pointing out. He listened quietly to Daichi and tipped his head thoughtfully. He had never seen a shooting star himself. To his knowledge, shooting stars were just meteoroids that burned up in the atmosphere, but it was often believed to grant wishes to those who were lucky enough to make a wish the split second they saw them in. Bowie had once made a comet fly over the market on a clear night (that used an obscene amount of effort that left the young Illumen passed out for the next day), but he didn't consider that as the same thing as a shooting star. "What do you want to wish for?" he asked curiously, curling his tail around his paws as he looked at the other male. "Or are you not supposed to tell?"

Daichi half smiled, "I don't think it would matter if I told you... I have almost given up hope on getting my wish..." He said as he sighed... "I want to wish for someone like me... Someone that will love me for me... and In return, I can love as well..." He explained, "I'm sure many wish such things but it's a little harder for me since.... well... I am not straight..." he added in then looking down afraid that the Illumen would be phobia about it.

Royce remained quiet, but attentive. Love was something he had been trying to avoid since he came here. He abandoned hope on the subject, having too many painful past experiences with it. "I do hope you get your wish," he murmured softly. Glancing at Dai, he noted the Illumen's reluctance to admit his orientation. Roy didn't seemed shocked and figured this male had his fair share of homophobes as well. "I'm sure you can find love if you look in the right places. I bet there are dozens of other males like you around here. Trust me." he added with a suggestive smile.

Daichi smiled at Royce, "Where though" he asked surprised that he didn't freak out. "I have nobody to protect... Nobody to love.. Sometime I believe my life is unless..." He added. The last sentence Roy said hit in, "Wait what do you mean by trust you? Do you know any others" he asked with a smirk in hopes that Roy was like him.

"I've long given up on love, but whether or not you survive without it is different for everyone, I suppose." he spoke thoughtfully. "Looking isn't hard either when you keep your mind open." He wondered if he should even try to comfort someone else on such a topic when he himself felt uneasy at the thought of such an implication being used on him. Nonetheless, he chuckled at Daichi's last remark and turned his gaze back on the stars. "Surely you and I can't be the only ones here that have taken an interest in other males before."

Daichi's eyes brightened, "So your interested in boys too?" he questioned with a smile. He felt that he had some hope left because he had hoped Roy was into boys from the beginning. "Why have you given up?" he asked curiously as to why he had; Daichi's reason was because he was abused in his last relationship.
