How do you turn pictures black and white??? i cant figure it out and its annoying. please help me!

Got to Edit, Adjustments, Hue and Saturation, and then drag the saturation tab all the way to the left.

I think there's also edit>adjustments>desaturate. If not, then the above answer also works just fine.

You can also go Image > Mode > Grayscale
For Hue and Saturation, the keyboard shortcut is (ctrl + U)
I advise you adjust the levels afterwards for maximum effect (ctrl + L) try not to move the middle marker too much. This is solely for the purpose of bringing out the dark and light areas, and gives you much greater control than the contrast adjustments.
