Darcy made her way through the grocery store, tossing things into the cart she'd forced Aaron to push.
"Remind me again why we had to come here." Aaron said, frowning. And why did he have to push the cart?
"We here to see them." Darcy said, smiling lightly. "Jaella said they go by the names Samantha and Reiya. I look forward to meeting the little ones." She picked up a can of soup, eyes scanning the nutritional label before tossing it carelessly into the cart.
"Ah, I see." Aaron said, a warm little smile spreading across his face. They'd get to meet them, huh? That sounded nice, and...and it was probably a good thing he'd come along as he'd been asked to.

Thali was with the twins--in the most boring part of the grocery store. They weren't in the frozen foods, the beverages, or even the bakery. No. They were in the spices aisle. Talk about boring. If she saw another bottle of anise seed again...
Though, Sammi and Reiya seemed to be enjoying it. Sammi kept reaching out and putting things in the cart. She was making use of her new favorite word--which happened to be; "Mine."

Darcy spotted them, smiling to herself. She stolled up behind Thali, her footfalls noiseless as she walked across the linoleum floor. "Hello, Mrs. Sadril." she said quietly, stopping right behind the adult.
Aaron hurried to catch up with his sister, the cart wheels squeaking loudly with each rotation. "Hello, Mrs. Sadril." he echoed, though his tone wasn't nearly as mischievous as his sister's. "How are you?"

Thali jumped, and turned around. Needless to say, she wasn't used to being called 'Mrs. Sadril' yet--she generally prefered people to call her by her given name. "Oh, hello Darcy." She said, looking at the girl with a slight frown. When she spotted Aaron, she smiled warmly. "Hi Aaron." She said. "What brings you here?"
Sammi reached out to Aaron with both arms. "Mine!" She decided. Yes, he was hers--if she liked it, it was hers. If she could touch it, it was hers, and if it was burnable, it was hers. And Aaron looked to be all of these things. "Mine!"
Reiya just stared at Darcy for a moment, before sniffling. Scary person was scary.

"Oh, well, we were just doing some grocery shopping and-" Aaron's well-thought of excuse was interrupted by his sister.
"We came to see the results." Darcy stated bluntly, causing her brother to pinch the bridge of his nose. "They both look healthy; that's is good." She looked to Reiya, offering a small smile. "Hello there, Reiya." she said, her tone soft. "What's wrong?" It didn't even occur to her that she might come off as intimidating and frightening.
"I'm sorry." Aaron murmured to Thali, offering a small smile. He then looked to Sammi, smiling lightly. "Hello there, Samantha." he said, smiling lightly. He reached a hand out to the infant, not sure yet if it was a good idea to pick the girl up or not.

Thali frowned slightly. "Any reason why they shouldn't?" She asked, her tone light. She was actually deciding whether or not it was safe to glare at Darcy or not.
"Oh, you can hold her." She told Aaron, gesturing to Sammi. "She seems to like you." As Thali said that, Sammi grabbed Aaron's hand with both of hers.
"Hi, Mine." She said. "Up?" She raised her arms to show what she wanted.
Reiya squirmed, and moved as far away from Darcy as she could. She sniffled.

Darcy shrugged, the only answer she offered to the adult. She blinked, looking at Reiya. What was wrong with the child? Was she ill or something? Concern etched itself into her expression, a hand coming up to rest on the girl's forehead. "Mrs. Sadril....is this one feeling alright?" she asked, her tone a bit worried.
Aaron smiled, picking the little girl up. "Hello there..." he said softly, holding the baby carefully. "My, aren't you a big girl!" That was meant as a compliment, though it was a bit hard to tell.

"Hm? Oh, she's fine." Thali said, looking to Darcy. At least the girl seemed genuinely concerned. "She doesn't like new people--you're probably scaring her."
Sammi smiled at Aaron. "Ooo 'ig, Mine." She told him, she liked the nickname she'd given him. Then she set eyes on Darcy. Her brownish eyes narrowed. "No." She said, using one of the words her mother tended to use fairly often. It was a fitting description.

Darcy let her hand drop. "Oh...." she murmured softly. Scared, of her? Who'd be scared of her. The girl kneeled a bit until she was at eye level with Reiya. "I am sorry, Reiya. I did not mean to frighten you." she said, her tone soft; an attempt at soothing. She didn't respond do Sammi, not knowing that she was being spoken to.
Aaron smiled lightly. "That I am." he said, chuckling. He looked amused at his sister's new nickname.

Reiya blinked, and reached out her hand to Darcy. "Hi." She managed, wiping her eyes with one hand. She seemed to have calmed down. A shy smile spread across her face.
Sammi put her hands into Aaron's hair. "Mine soft." She told him with a nod--the wisest she could manage. She pointed to Darcy. "Is No." She said. "Jae-ella is Kitty. Where Kitty?"

Darcy smiled lightly, wrapping a couple fingers loosely around the offered hand. "Hello." she said softly. "Are you okay now?" She felt just a little guilty about scaring the little one....a little, but not much.
Aaron chuckled, smiling. "Thank you." he said softly. "I see.... And Jaella is at home, preparing some letters to be delivered." he said, smiling. This little one was adorable, especially with her habit of giving everyone nicknames.

Reiya just looked at Darcy for a moment. "Pwetty." She complimented, before yawning cutely. Shopping wore an infant out--she wasn't quite ready for a nap yet though. Her mother had promised her ice cream--and she wasn't going to sleep until she got some.
"Kitty is home?" Sammi asked with a frown. "Not home wen I dere--" She referenced home with hers--the one she knew best. "Mine?" She said. " 'Uv ooo."

Darcy smiled lightly at Reiya. "Thank you, little one." she said, petting the little one's hair. This one she liked; she was nice and quiet. "You are rather pretty yourself." she said, nodding. The little one seemed tired....hmm. "Mrs. Sadril, may I hold this one?" she asked politely....even if she intended to do so regardless.
Aaron chuckled. "She's at our home, Sammi." he said, smiled. He then ruffled the little girl's hair; awww, wasn't she adorable? He wanted to keep her, but he doubted that Thali and Darcy would appreciate that...

"Hm? Sure. You can hold her if she'll let you." Thali said vaguely, reaching up on the shelf to grab a bag of chocolate chips. She clearly wasn't paying attention to the children--hers, or the teenagers. "Oh, and don't call me Mrs. Sadril." She muttered. "I'm Thali."
Reiya looked up at Darcy, before making a face at her. She stuck out her tongue, and blew a raspberry, as if she was challenging the older girl.
Sammi frowned slightly. She tried to comprehend it--there were more homes than hers? "Misss Kitty." She told him. "Wan Kitty. My Kitty."

"Alright then, Thali." Darcy said, nodding once. She then looked to the little one, chuckling before lifting the little girl out of the car, not being quite as gently as one normally would with an infant. "Aren't you just precious." she said, making it sound like some inside joke.
Aaron smiled, hugging the baby. "Don't worry; I'm sure she'll see you again soon, Sammi." he said, nodding once. "She's been busy lately though, so when you see her, be gentle with her, okay? She'll probably be a bit tired."
