ok, does age depend on when you start your period or does it depend on when your mother started?

It's mostly based on weight. Girls usually get their period when they hit about 100 pounds. That usually happens anywhere from about 10 to 16 years old. But early periods are becoming increasingly common due to the obesity problem.

oh well no wonder i havn't started developing yet i weigh on 75 pounds, but Im 13.

I don't know how much truth there is to this, but I once heard that girls start their periods approximately two years after growing breasts. Also, they will have pubic hair at that point. Myself, I started wearing a bra at age 8 and having periods at age 10, so it was fairly accurate. I don't remember how much I weighed but I have always been an early starter.
