The wind whistled quietly, like a breeze that's barely there.
The moon, bright and full, peered down to the forest floor, finding a way through the canopy in the most peculiar of ways.

Without purpose or direction, Elune is effortlessly gliding through the moonlit-forest-night. Her hooves are light, and her step even lighter. Not a sound is made from twig or leaf as she makes her way around. A mare such as herself, never needed a set destination. Joy was found in merely existing in the evening realm.

Taking note of a small patch of mushrooms, crowned with the glow of the moon, she begins to sing to them. Her voice rings out with hidden music, hidden sound:

Come, come
Grow little ones
Reach for the stars
Reach for the moon
The sky is yours
The ground your roots
Make it your own
Make it your all
So come, come
Grow little ones
Reach for the stars
Reach for the moon

Reaching down, she lets the peach fuzz on muzzle gently graze the cap of the largest shroom. Taking a whiff of it's woodsy earth scent makes her smile.

The simple things in life, can bring such delight.

((Don't mind his blurry cert. XD))

Another night. Full of stars, moon light.. His favorite time of the day. As he loved the stars and there spectacular shine.. Why wouldn't it be? He didn't fly the skies tonight, as he usually did. He found himself roaming the forest floors.. He took a break from flying this evening, and decided to explored the lands once again. He never knew what to expect, when doing so. However, he always knew what to expect when flying. It was always the same when he flew, so much comfort. He loved that feeling.

As he made his way, he wings would shine so bright, as the moonlight hit them. Reflecting the sky above them. His markings also glowed, when the moon wanted them too. Such a unique pelt, for a unique character. Toki looked around, trying to find something interesting. Until his ears began to twitch.. He began to hear something in the distance. Singing? He hadn't heard someone else sing before.. He had only brought others to him, through singing.. This must be what they felt like..

It was faint.. But he couldn't help but want to find where it was coming from. Keeping his ears alert, he tried to make his way closer, and closer. Sometimes it felt as if he were getting further away, others closer. He was beginning to become confused, and misguided.. Until he saw it right in from of him. There was a mare, over mushrooms.. Singing. He waited 'til her song was over before he came any closer. Her song sort of made him want to sing back.. But he kept that to himself (Lol.). Making his way closer to her, he stood within the trees. He didn't want to accidentally frighten her.. Then again, standing in the trees doesn't scream less frighting either..

"You have such a wonderful voice." He said with a smile, slowly making his way out of the trees.

Elune's body froze like that of one who had seen a ghost, as a harmonious male voice filled her long pointed ears. Looking out the corner of her black lined eye, she watched as a blur of dark feathered crimson came into her line of sight. Though she did not move a muscle, her wings began to vibrate nervously. Glinted white dust could be seen falling from her wings, if you looked close enough. Like that of a moth before it took flight.

Carefully she straightened herself, pulling her chin up slightly as she stood as tall as she could. A few long strands of hair framed her almost regal stance. This flutter happened to be atypical to the rest. She stood almost a head or two above them all, with a very slender physique.

Placing one hoof back, she was prepared to take a few more if need be.. Never a coward, but always cautious. Had she not been so absorbed in singing to forest floor occupants, she would of heard the crimson stallion coming and of been gone before he pulled close.

Not trying to be rude, she did not respond to his comment. With ice colored eyes, she kept her gaze fixed on him, while her wings still vibrated away. Just a natural reaction for one that had never spoke with another, for as long as she remembered. Only the forest knew the sound of her mind.

He could almost, automatically, tell she wasn't the social type. The way she just froze when she saw him.. How unexpectedly he had approached her. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to come out of nowhere. But he couldn't help it. He didn't want to just stand there.. Looking at her.. He might come off as stalker-ish if he did. That surely wouldn't have been good. Her wings seemed to be flustering as he examined her. Looking carefully he could see some sort of dust falling from them.. He had never seen that before.. It was strange.. But somewhat magical.

She was quite the sight, however. With a posture like hers.. Toki would surely look like a bum next to her. But as he kept his eyes on her, looking her over. It only made him want to get to know her. She had features he hadn't seen before. Her wings were remarkable, her ears were odd.. Where did she come from? Looking to her eyes.. They almost reminded him of the stars that shown so bright in the sky. White colored eyes? He had never seen that, silver, sure.. But white. Never.

Having there been a bit of silence.. He didn't want to scare her off.. She hadn't said anything back to him.. She must be very cautious about him. Though she shouldn't be. Toki wouldn't hurt anyone, or anything.. Unless he had to. But there was no reason to in this situation. One would hope anyway.

"No need to be afraid.. Just some random stallion who was lured here by your singing." He let out a nervous laugh. He had no idea how he was going to get her to calm down.

Her wings sprung out to the side at an almost odd angle, upon hearing the stallion speak again. Although she had never taken flight, she was well prepared to attempt it for the first time. A shiver crawled over her, as the nervous but melodious laughter burst from his deep red muzzle. If he was nervous being here, then why was he still lingering? Peculiar. It became clear that the maroon visitor intended on staying for how many ever moments longer.

Had she really lured him here with her singing? Her eyes drifted back to the earthy smoke white mushrooms, before quickly looking back up. For the first time since the listener had arrived, she blinked. A small sign that she might of been relaxing....might of been..

True, he didn't seem like a threat, but what did she know? Friend or foe, she knew neither. She only knew memories her father, whom had left her to find herself at a very ripe age. "Learn the forest, embrace it's breath." he had once told her. She had done just that. The forest had now decided to let her be found, yes? Surely she must try to accept that..

Hesitantly, carefully, she trailed her eyes over the stallion. First giving him an icey cold look that said
"Move while I'm checking you out, and I'm gone."

He was extravagantly red, like the rarest of turning leaves before the first frost. It happened to be a color she was fond of. It didn't stop there, for he had an intriguing pattern of stars upon his back and ankles. His wings, rich and deep with the skies sparkle trapped in it's feathers.

Her eyes narrowed as she looked upon his eyes again. "I. Am not afraid, Stallion." she interjected the word stallion with a rise in her voice. Even when she spoke, it could be heard like music. Her words might of sounded beautiful, but they weren't quite convincing. "Or at least..I'm trying not to be." she added with a much gentler tone.

The silence.. It made him feel so awkward.. He would've tried to move.. But her look told him otherwise. So, he stood still, keeping his gaze upon her. There wasn't anything else interesting around. Probably the most interesting encounter all day. How would it end? He had no idea, no one knew. She could just turn away and leave.. Without reason or a word. And if she did, what could he really do? Nothing, as if she left, he surely wouldn't have a reason to make her stay. But lets hope that wont happen!

When she spoke, his ears twitched. Such a delightful voice, from such a magnificent sight. Surely, anything she said or sang was wonderful. It just made him smile. He was glad she finally gave him some sort of response. She was very honest with her response as well. Made him let out a light chuckle. She really had no need to be afraid, and he was going to try and show her. Toki decided to lie down for the time being. It had been a long day, and surely the night wouldn't be any different. He made himself comfortable in front of the mushroom patch. If he was lying down.. He surely wouldn't be any harm to her. But hopefully his movements wouldn't startle her, and make her leave.

"Well.. I'm Tokidoki.." He said with a smile. Trying to calm her down some more.

((I'm not as descriptive as you, sad to say. XD))

He was moving! Taking another two steps back, almost jumping even, she watched him settle into place on the dark forest floor. His actions confused her. Not knowing what to expect, how to react..

Tokidoki. The name had rhythm and rhyme. It solidified the stranger laying before her, making him seem more real now that a name had been placed to the face. His voice washed over her like a warm mist, as if he intended to ease her tension.

"I. Am Elune." she said softly, flapping her oddly curved wings twice before finally resting them close behind her. Her chest fell with a winded exhale of frail breath. Taking one step back towards the resting stallion, she relaxed her stance. Still elegant and regal, but without the stiff shock of the unexpected encounter.

This wasn't bad at all. If anything, it was proving to be a calm experience.

"Merry to meet you, Sir Tokidoki." she offered her acceptance as politely as a mare like her could. She might not be all grins and giggles, but monumental none the less.

She hadn't ran away yet.. I suppose that was a good sign. He had moved like a hundred times by now, and she still wasn't gone. They were getting somewhere. And even so further, once she had announced her name. Elune, aye? What a nice name, and matched her quite well. See this wasn't to bad, and she seemed to have calmed down a bit. Her posture wasn't as tense as before. He wasn't going to hurt anyone, that had to be clear to her now. Right?

"What a nice name! It's quite nice to meet you as well, Elune." He smiled.

Meeting new Soq was never so bad. Usually Toki would come across the better Soq. Not so much the more devious and misguided ones. Though, sometimes it was hard to tell one from the other. But Toki here, he has been pretty lucky when it came to meeting new Soq. Meeting new and interesting characters. Usually the more good kind. And when faced with the more mischievous ones, it was so hard to get away.. Especially when he had wings and they didn't. No need to be bothered by such nonsense.

This however, was surely not nonsense. It could actually be one of his more interesting encounters.

"Thank you.." she answered simply with a polite nod.

The moon hung at it's highest point, glinting the forest with silver and gray rays of light. Elune watched as the light struck the stallion at her feet. The pattern on his back seemed to echo the moons glow. It was almost fascinating. Even his wings seemed to glimmer more so than when she first took notice.

Her mouth opened slightly before she shook it off and bit her lip briefly. The moon made all things come to life, it shouldn't surprise her. Could she of seen herself, she'd of seen that moonlight glinted off her ancient jewelry and made even her very eyes glow unnaturally.

Who was this stallion though? Yes, his name was given, but it did little to tell of who he was. While pondering this, Elune moved under one of the older trees, lifting her chin up to a ribbon of silver piercing down through the trees. She lost herself for a moment, closing her eyes as if she was drinking the light. Still absorbed, she spoke without opening her eyes. "Tell me." she finished by opening her eyes and looking down at the stallion with an electric gaze of wonder. "Who are you Tokidoki?"

Innocently, she wanted to know more about him. Not accustomed to meeting others, she didn't know how else to ask.

He nodded with a smile at her response. Keeping his eye on Elune.. The moon seem to make her shine as much as it made him. Her silver jewelry sparkled just as bright as any star he had seen. Which seemed to be how her eyes gave off it's magical shine. It was quite amazing how the moon could make anything look so magical. However, Elune would probably look just as magical in the sun light. Wouldn't she? Sure she would!

As she moved under a tree, he became less worried she'd run off.. She didn't seem like she was going anywhere.. He was still amazed at how the light made her look. Almost as amazed as he was when he had met a mare that could fit right into the night sky. When she began to speak, he became less focused on her looks. Now more focused on what she had to say.

'Who are you Tokidoki'

Such a general question. He was many things, also, not many other things. He was a wanderer, an explorer, a friendly spirit? He was the sky the and all the stars the shined so brilliantly in it.. He could be anyone he wanted, anyone she wanted. How would he really answer this question? Surely he would tell her anything she wanted to know about him.. Mostly anything. As long as she didn't refer to his past, he would share everything. Toki never shared his past with anyone. It was so heart breaking to him.. No one should know. He, himself didn't even want to remember. There were surely many who shared his same past. It taunted him almost everyday. Which is exactly why he didn't want to remember it. However, he knew he would have to share it with someone.. One day. He just hoped it wouldn't be this day..

"That's a pretty tough question to answer.. What do you want to know?" He asked, in answer to her question.

The mare was perplexed by his misdirected answer. Anything he would of told her, would of answered her question. There was no wrong answer...or was their.

She tilted her face and blinked at him, then looked to her right, as she put more thought into her question. A dozen questions popped around in her mind, ones to which didn't seem to matter much. What did she know so far? Apart from his appearance, name, and that he posed no threat, she didn't know much else. For that matter..what did he know of her? There was an answer she could give, before the question was even asked.

That is what she would do. "I. Am a single soul, one that has lived in the forests breath and embraced everything within it's arms. I have never met another soquili before. I think fate has avoided others crossing my path." she paused and stepped close to Tokidoki, not having to lean down very far to set her face in front of his. Her eyes didn't blink as she locked her eyes to his.

"Till now." her words were spoke with careful precision. The moment was everything but trivial to her.

She exhaled softly as she pulled her face away from his, taking only a few steps away this time. She would not ask another question, though she still wanted to know who he was. Her offering of some insight into who she was, had given her satisfaction on the topic.

When her gaze turned towards him again, her eyebrows were slightly raised. Even if her mouth wasn't smiling, her eyes were.

There was a bit of silence after he spoke. Had he caught her off guard when he answered her question? Or was she just thinking of what to say? Either way, as he waited for her to say something else.. He just watched her, with a smile on his face. He was usually a smiling face when meeting someone new.. Unless caught off guard, with not so pleasant things on his mind. When she spoke, he became much more focused on her.. As he usually did when anyone was speaking to him. It was interesting.. How instead of asking him a question she instead talked about herself. It was also interesting what she had to say.

When she moved closer to him, he was a bit surprised. Him being the first Soquili she had ever met.. He wouldn't expect her to come so close, especially with how she was acting before. He was now very intrigued by her. When she pulled herself away, he only continued to smile more.. He was quiet, in response to her words. Until she looked back at him. She didn't ask him a question.. But she told him how to respond to her first one.

"I'm also one single soul. One who used to be lost, unguided. Until I found myself, and how I should really be.. I now breath and live in the sky. It's my escape from the past, I wish to not return to... You know. Fate is a crazy thing." He was very much so enjoying her company.. It was probably obvious with the smile that wouldn't leave his face.

Elune found herself falling back in her element. The sounds of the forest began to flood back into here ears, the voice of the night, singing her song. She looked away and up at nothing in particular as she listened. A very faint smile washed over her, and there might of even been a smile. Her guard had diminished.

The night sounds mingled with Tokidoki's voice as he spoke. A returned venture into who he was, was given. She quite liked the way his answer mirrored what she said. It showed intelligence. A more noticeable smile gently pulled at the corner of her lips as she looked up through the canopy of trees. Her eyes were seeking out the stars.

So the sky was his element. Holding her breath and closing her eyes, she tried to imagine what that was like. A shiver ran from her shoulders and out her wings. Opening her mouth slightly to exhale, she answered back, without opening her eyes: "What is it like? To fly." Her last word seemed almost magical the way she spoke it. Such meaning, such enthusiasm. A question spoke with absolute wonderment. The very thought seemed to be just that to her. Magic.

Her baited soft breath eagerly awaited his response as she stood perfectly still. Nose still pointing to the stars, eyes still imagining the dance of flight among them.

As he watched her more and more, she began to seem rather different from how she acted when he first came around. She was becoming more comfortable one would suppose. When her question was brought up, he looked at her wings, then back at her. This would be the second Soquili he had met with wings who couldn't fly. He wondered how someone with wings couldn't fly! It was such a beautiful gift for someone to have. Such a great experience. How was it that one with wings wasn't brought up learning how to fly. It somewhat baffled him. But he was sure there had to be some reason to it. There had to be.

Becoming uncomfortable with how he was lying, he decided to get back up. Readjusting himself once again. He let his wings take a little breather before he put them back to rest. Now back to her question. How would he explain how it was like to fly? It's almost an indescribable feeling.. Almost.

"Flying, it's very peaceful.. My get away from the world and my problems. My sanctuary.. Possibly like.. How you might've felt when you were singing to the mushrooms." He nodded, before taking a whiff of the fresh mushrooms before him.

He'd much rather before the smell of the open air.. It could smell like various things. Some good, some bad.. But it at least didn't stay bound to one scent. Looking back over to the mare.. He didn't know if his comparison was very accurate or not. With the way she was singing to the mushrooms, he thought it might be.. But you could never really tell.

Her ears turned as she listened to the sound of movement. Instinctively, her eyes open to see what he was doing, shutting them once again, she noted he was just standing up. He must of been cramped laying on the forest floor. She hadn't even thought about it till he began to move. Had he done that just to be a bit more submissive to her since she was so startled? She did seem rather terrified, only moments ago. Not that she had ever been afraid of anything before, but this was the eve of firsts. Fear didn't seem like something she should ever embrace, and she would fight to keep it that way as often as she could.

Flying the word burst into a thousand colors and movements as he began to explain. Peaceful. Sanctuary. Song. She could imagine all these things. The stars burst into view, the moon stood still in a sea of swirling blue. She could even hear a tune ringing through her very essence. It hinted at a hidden melody, one she did not know.

Lifting effortlessly onto her back legs, she fluttered her delicate wings, still absorbed in thought. The harder she pressed on, the more there seemed to be an underlying message. There was something she wasn't seeing.. Amidst the flash of colors and swift movements she was imagining in the sky, there was a mingled image of things much closer to the home. Imagining such things was powerfully tantalizing.

She had never tried to take flight, nor did she imagine she could if she did try. However, in her minds eye, it almost seemed natural, she just didn't know how.

Turning in a half circle, she brought her feet back to the ground in a feathery light motion. Her dream now over. But a moment passed by since she had closed her eyes. She would dream it again and search for that song when the time was right.

Icey white eyes beamed at the crimson stallion. "It sounds. Refreshing." A small shiver caused her head to twitch as she felt what she spoke. Looking away as a melodious faint laugh escaped her lips, she sighed it away and then looked back at him. "I never dreamed flying could feel so alive."
