Sholazar focused on the children asleep, as he set the scene.
The dream didn't seem like a dream, didn't feel like a dream. Except they were somewhere new suddenly, and Sokka had grown some, seeming now less the awkward baby...and more...the awkward adolescent. Ah well. The forest was dark, the kind of place you'd see in horror movies shown in Nightmare Valley. Something bad enough to scare even the dark toughened residents that shy from the sun and light of Dream valley. Or perhaps the narrator of this particular dream, not that anyone hears him, was just feeling over dramatic that day. The colors of the wood were all muted and dull, dark muddy brown tree trunks, distant smudges of green leaves, and the green grass was blanketed over by a rolling smog that made it hard to see much of anything in particular. The air was still, there were no sounds in the woods, no birds, no wildlife, as though all were waiting with breath held in the presence of a predator, or as if all were chased away or hunted down. An eerie silence thicker then the pea soup fog that rolled about their low forms, as he had chosen for them each to come to awareness laying down, as though they were not dreaming, but rather, had been moved in their sleep. The air was damp with a very mild chill, the woods scented like mildew. Not a sense was left unfooled. He had not played in some time, it would be interesting to see how throughly confused he had these two orphans. This... would be fun.
Sholazar prepared the first surprise for them, then nudged the littler one, Honey Jade 'awake' so that she would come too first. She was small, and a girl. A little baby girl. Her scream should be just what was needed to rouse the teen boy, her brother or babysitter, perhaps.

Honey Jade stretched and rolled over onto her back before stretching again. When she rolled back onto her stomach and pushed herself into a sitting position, she blinked her eyes and took in the surroundings. Blink...blink...blink.... that was diffrent. She looked beside her to see if Sokka was still there. When she saw him, she blinked again then squealed and glomped him.
"Sokka!" she squealed. "You got big!"

Sokka groaned and opened an eye. Honey Jade. He closed his eye again. He knew he wouldn't get any more sleep, but he could pretend. He could pretend that maybe whatever game she was talking about now would make sense later. He knew better, but he could pretend. Just like he could pretend that she hadn't noticed his eye opening.
Not..... the reaction he had expected... but this could still be interesting. Maybe. If the male would move.

"Soooooooookkaaaaaaa!" she crooned, climbing onto his back and plopping her head on top of his. "Your back is so wiiiide! Up! Up! Up!"

He groaned and pushed to his feet, he had been right. no chance of getting any more rest. not once the ball of energy was awake. "Ge'off," he mumbled. "You're heavy." As he stood he blinked realizing, yeah, she kinda was... but not as much as she had been LAST time she pulled this trick. He glanced back over his shoulder at her, confused. "What did you do this time?" he asked with a groan.

She stayed on his back, trying to balance and not slide off. she was kind of flopped along his back, with her legs out. "I didn't do anything to you! Nothing! Not at all! You grewed! Your legs are so long!"

"I did not grewed... grow. I'm exactly the same..." he trailed off as he looked down at his legs. He blinked, then froze. he looked back at her again. "Honey Jade, where... are we?"
Finally, he notices, Sholazar sighed.

"Somewhere fun," she chirped, not bothering to look around. She slid off his back and pranced under him, ducking her head a little bit. "You're like a bridge! I can walk right under you!"

"I rather wish you wouldn't" he said glancing down at her, then he shrugged and gave her a small nudge with a back hoof to push her out. "What if I fall on you. You look so... little now. You sure you didn't shrink?"
Look around you! Sholazar seethed silently from where he was watching. What was with these two anyhow?

She giggled and slipped out from under him. "Nope, I'da known if I'da shrunk. You grew!" Then, apparently bored with the topic, she starts skipping off. "Let's explore!"

He blinked and reached out to grab her by her hair. "We don't know where we are. It could be dangerous." He could at least pretend like that would stop her, couldn't he?

"Oof!" she grunted softly as the tug pulled her back a bit. "It's not dangerous! Just look around! It's too pretty here to be dangerous!"

He sighed, and let go of her, choosing not to argue. He knew he'd loose anyway, so why waste his strength when he'd need it chasing after her later. "Just stay close?" he asked, his voice pleading the smallest bit. He didn't want her wandering off alone, but also, he wasn't so sure he wanted to be alone. It was hard to think anything could be that bad when she was bouncing along like a miniature sun. However on his own he knew shadows of fear would fill his mind. Right, had to keep her close. For her own good... and his.
