It'd been a while since the small Usdia had been out roaming about. Her ears were perked as she tried to blow a strand of her Ebony hair from her sight.
She hadn't met anyone in a while and was curious if she'd actually run up on someone, interesting. She knew it was nearing evening and likely a lot of the others were likely relaxing somewhere but it didn't bother her much. Considering she was out in the field, she could see some of the tepees around north of her.
However she was scanning for other horses, and curiously at that.

Pecan had to get away from his mother. She was driving him bonkers. When he'd rather be out trying to find interesting ways to get clouds to come closer to the ground than listen to his mother talk about how useless his sisters were. Like he cared. He finally got his mother distracted and ran off as fast as his hooves could carry him. He had to have his alone time-his peace and quiet and he did personally want to see if he could find some frogs to talk to.
So he finally stopped running and was itching his rump with is muzzle for a moment, contemplating a good roll in the dirt. That would annoy his mother, who would no doubt complain about how filthy he was. He needed to break his ties with his family-at least for a short time.
He lifted his nose in the air to see what he could smell and lo-behold... he smelt someone. A stranger? A good one or a bad one, he was excited none the less. He started to head in her direction-tail twitching.

Willow's ears flickered as she heard someone approaching from the sounds of it they were coming from the tepee area. She turned her head look to see who was coming.
She noticed he was rather large and she swished her tail to swat at a fly and then chuckled. He seemed rather excited and when he was within ear range she grinned calling out to him, "My, my what are we so excited for? It's as if you've just seen an apple."
She held a warm smile on her face as she watched him.

He for one was excited. He liked meeting new people if it meant that it was just them meeting and not them yelling at him or telling him he was stupid. He hated that. He hated people telling him facts he already knew about himself. His pink eyes lifted when he heard a voice and his head bucked as a smile crawled across his face.
"Nah. I was just really hoping to meet someone out here that wasn't my relative!" He said matter of fact, walking up closer to her and couldn't help but smile more. She was sooo small in comparison to him. She could almost walk under him and for some reason he liked that. He lowered his head and gave her a smile. "And you seem to be someone not related to me in fact!"
He lifted his head and swished his tail with obvious enjoyment. "M'names Pecan... Butter pecan.. but I prefer pecan. It sounds better than butter Pecan"!

Willow chuckled as he spoke. "Well it sounds like I should be glad to have only a person to tie me down." She had to look up at him but she didn't mind at all.
"And as far as I know I'm related to no one around here." She grinned, "Speically not you, for I assume that if I was I wouldn't have to look up." There was a soft wink before she puffed at the piece of hair again that had managed its way into her face.
Her tail flickered, "Nice to meet you Pecan." She said with a smile and an amused chuckled. "My name's Willow. There's not much else you could call me less I suppose you wanted to call me short stuff."
She looked around for a second, "So were you headed any were inparticular Pecan?"

He nodded his head. He often wondered what it would be like to not have a overly bearing parent and have none at all. To have no one. That was a strange thought. He lifted his head slightly in a nod. "Nah... I'm to tall to be related.. and to 'Butter Pecany' where as you are more... stripey!"
Obviously not related in his head.
He smiled and gave her a small bow, though his muzzle almost touched the top of her head. Not really small-but eh. "Nice to meet you Willow!" He said, lifting his head back and shaking his mane to settle it. "I'd never dream of calling you short stuff!" He said with a laugh. "You already know you are short, so I don't have a reason to remind you!"
He looked around for a moment. "Nah... not really.. just browsing stuff."

She shook her head with a chuckle. "Yes, I am a bit more stripey"
She chuckled and rolled her eyes up to watch him. She shook her head, "Of course not, but you know I thought I'd toss it out there." She grinned.
Her tail flickered and she chuckled, "Well I think you'll still get found here." She said looking back towards the tepees.

Pecan couldn't even imagine if he could even have a foal as small as she was. He wondered how it started and how the small soq became one of this world. How it happened? He had no real clue. "Yes. Stripey stripey!" He said with a nod.
He looked around and gave a half hearted smile. "Eh. Yeah... My Mom will most likely come out looking for me in about-eh... five minutes. She's like that-won't let go I suppose." He said, wrinkling his forehead and flicked his ears. "She just won't go away..."

Willow chuckled amused at the male. "Well we could always delay your mother finding you by walking towards the pond." She said nodding off in the other distance. "Maybe we can find frogs or something to poke at and watch hop while we're there."
She grinned, she wasn't really what you'd call a typical girl wanting to poke a slimy things and likely wasn't afraid of getting dirty either. Her tail flickered and shook her head, "I'm sure she'll realize to give you your space sooner or later. Either that or find a foal for her to be a 'grandmother' of and let her swoon over it then you'll get a little more leeway and she'll smother the foal with love."
Of course Willow had seen a lot of parents and grandparents smother their kids and grand kids in love. Sometimes it was interesting to watch and take notes on other times she got bored and would leave them be or try to strike up a conversation with the one doing the smothering so the kid could sneak off for a bit. However she couldn't really do that with the adults, only the foals worked, and most of the time because of her small size.
