As far as Frey was concerned, Frost's Frosties was just a giant playground; the strange little boy sat happily on the pink-and-white tiles with his legs drawn up comfortably to his chest as he colored happily, listening to the soft tinkling music as people went in and out, the bell over the top of the door jingling. The coloring book, by now, was a mess; the single large purplish tentacle that most often cuddled around him like an overly-affectionate best friend was continuously reaching out to try and confiscate the crayon.
"Heeeeeey," Frey mumbled softly to it as it dragged the red crayon across the page again, making a fantastic mess of the patient little boy's picture -- the cool climate and the sweet scents inside the ice-cream parlor was making him drowsy, though, and he was listing slightly to one side. Alarmed, the oversized tentacle -- though it had had no intention of obeying Frey -- hastily uncurled and propped up the leaning child, though it seemed to be struggling.
Really, if something interesting didn't happen, the poor tentacle seemed like it was going to have to support a whole sleeping toddler, all on its own.

Adelle's wings flapped sporadically as she ran down the block, squealing happily and giggling to herself all the while, whereas Adhara was good with walking at a steady enough pace, raising an eyebrow at the little girl's insane amount of energy. She, herself, could stay awake a good three days and sleep for about four to nine hours in-between that time since she was pregnant. Adelle, on the other hand, usually was awake for five days straight and was out like a rock for twelve hours between one day and the next. Apparently the Liberality part of her DNA made it a little difficult to control the insane amount of energy that Diligence children normally possessed.
Finally, the little girl skid to a stop using those large, sharp, metal wings of her's, flapping them like a crazed bat to pull herself up off the ground a good foot and keep her from losing her footing with the high speed suddenly dropped to no speed. She jumped up and down in front of the ice cream store, pointing to it and gazing up the block at her mom as she bounced on her feet.
"Mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, mama, MAMA!!" she squealed as she jumped, obviously very excited about this place. Adhara merely chuckled as she approached, kissing her little girl on the forehead, which made Adelle blink and cross her eyes in an attempt to see the spot she'd been kissed on, wiping at it to make sure none of her mother's lipstick had come off on her forehead.
"We can go in as long as you promise not to over intimidate the people who work there again, alright?" she commented, getting very rapid nodding in return. "And you'll have to promise that whatever you get has light sugar or no sugar, 'kay?" Adelle pouted a bit at this, before agreeing anyway; as long as it was ice cream, what did it matter?
Adelle jumped into the building, and immediately the boy her age caught her attention and she gasped excitedly, jumping over and crashing to her knees, making her mother wince. "Oh my goodness, you're so cute!!" she squealed, despite him being her same age. "And your tentacoo is so much bigger dan mine are!" she said, giggling a bit and wriggling her right tentacle while the left one seemed to look at Frey in total confusion.

A quick soft huff escaped Frey, and his head snapped up as he looked blearily in the direction of the girl-shaped ball of sound that seemed to have suddenly bombarded him -- his blue-and-gold eyes opened wide, rounded so they were nearly the size of dinner plates; he opened his mouth to speak as he watched her practically crash-land right before him, wincing a little bit.
"I... hiii," Frey murmured blearily, rubbing at one eye as he righted himself, looking at her. "You... has squiggles too?" The half-asleep, if confused, little spawn leaned forward, his own tentacle quite glad to be relieved of its surprisingly heavy burden -- it began to firmly twine itself around Frey, the tip peering around his shoulder like an overaffectionate pet snake as it petted at the purple-freckled little face.

Adelle giggled at the little boy's surprised face, so much different and more tired than her own, which made her mother in the least bit jealous, although not unhappy with her own daughter. Adelle laughed at the sleepy response and shook her head. "No, siww- silly," she said, giggling a bit. "Tentacoos!! I has two of them, but they're reaww- really little, and your's is biiig, but you only have one; it's neat!!" she squeaked, looking about excitedly.
"I came here for ice cream, did you? Mama says that I can't have any that's got a lot of sugar in it, though, she says that it'll make me more hyper than I already am and that I really don't need anything that's going to do something like that to me. I can't drink coffee either, but I don't really care 'bout that 'cause coffee tastes kinda gross what about you are you here for ice cream too or for something else and do you like coffee what's your name, mine's Adelle!!" the little girl ranted, speech very quick and likely almost impossible to keep up with. Poor boy; now that her sights were on him, he wasn't going to get away from the conversation anytime soon.
