I'm quite at a loss of how to help you with this one hun. I really adore his school uniform and white DT outfit. HOWEVER, his uniform and yellow tunic are really over done in terms of cosplay, but there has been an increase of cosplays for the white one. I would say go with the white one or (if you are willing to venture out of the choices you made) the green tunic from the Chapter Black saga or his phoenix one from the second movie. I rarely see the green tunic, so that would be nice to see, but this is your cosplay. I'm only hoping that my advice helped a little bit.

I don't know...I think it's good to stick with the well-know outfits (school uniform, Dark Tournament finals...) but like Broken Hearted Hiei said, its good to be unique and stand out a bit. And then you can brag to people about how much more of a fan you are. ; D

w00t! There will be another Kurama cosplayer in this guild ^_^ As for which costume of his to wear, well that's a tough one. The school uniform is okay, but I am not fond of it, so (and this is just ME here) I wouldn't do it. His first outfit in the dark tournament is pretty cool, and doing it with the curse marks would be good. I've seen that done before on cosplay.com and the cosplayer there even went so far as to add the battle damage with the vines coming out of his arms from the fight with Touya... http://www.cosplay.com/photo/289746/ That actually inspired me to do this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v293/R_Winner/Anime/Anime Evolution 2008/Kurama and Hiei/KuramaGardenPose.jpgKurama's yellow tunic from the finals with battle damage from the fight with Karasu. What Broken Hearted Hiei said is very true after all, some of his outfits have been done to DEATH by cosplayers, so I figured I would take something that had been done before and change it up a little. I'd like to add that I have also seen an increase in the green tunic beong cosplayed as well... The outfit from the movie is amazing, and that's actually my dream cosplay for Kurama, one of these days I will wear it, because it's one of my favourites. Actually, that's what it comes down to really... What is your favourite outfit that he wears? After all, YOU are the one who will be wearing this costume, why wear something you're not going to fully enjoy? Scower episodes or images from the internet, try to choose what outfit he wears really connects with you, something you yourself would love to wear or something that you think he just looked really awesome in. I kinda think that's the best way to cosplay, even if other people don't enjoy it, or don't recognize it, you will enjoy it and be proud of it and in the end I think that's all that matters.

I've never been to a con, so I don't know if there are a lot of YYH fans out there or not. If there aren't, then the uniform would probably be best as it's most recognizable. Otherwise, I'd go with the one with paint marks because it's just so darn cool. Then you could even pretend that you couldn't move or use your spiritual energy. XD

havishanta Hahaha! OH yeah, and have a friend dress as his demon opponent and bring a paint brush. Hahaha! Man, I wanna cosplay. v_v; You mean Gama? lol. Creepy to the nth degree. It would have to be some dude (since, if I recall correctly, Gama doesn't wear a shirt) who wouldn't mind being painted blue with other weird markings. And he'd have to talk a lot about makeup. XD

havishanta Hahaha! C'mon humorous paraody! You can have an epic battle scene, then have take out tea and biscuits and have a light-hearted discussion about different cosmetics they use. XD And Gama could say, "I am Missus NESBITT." rofl. Gama was really, really stuck up about his makeup. He said that humans have ruined the whole thing and that we wear it wrong. XD

XD In fact, up until this discussion I was pretty wholly convinced that Kurama only wore 3 outfits throughout the series and the movies: his school uniform, the Dark Tourney finals, and his human-outfit during his stay in Makaii at the beginning of Three Kings. And I call myself a YYH fan girl yap yap yap... stare Kurama has a lot more outfits than anyone else, in general. Especially Hiei. Seriously, he has two outfits. TWO. And technically the second one is just a different tank-top. Everyone except for Hiei had a costume-change during the Chapter Black saga, as far as I can recall. (I don't think Koenma did, either, actually.) But they do wear their school uniforms quite a bit.

Hahaha. Oh Hiei, you're so fashion forward. Let me guess. You're wearing a...um...oh crap...um. Black pants. With a...um...black tank top. Annnd...a black cloak. OH YEAH! I GET THE PRIZE! ; D
Man, if Hiei was real I'd be dead...like 50 times already. I think Koenma takes pity on me. Either that or just thinks I have a lot of guts. XD

Or, he could be wearing a blue tank top! XD Actually, I've been told that it would violate Hiei's parole to kill a human. So you're safe. lol. Kurama's too modest for that, I think. Except in the first movie there was a good scene of fan-service when he goes swimming during the montage.
