Batista injury update
November 9, 2005
World Heavyweight Champion Batista injured his back at the SmackDown television taping Tuesday night in Indianapolis.
Earlier today, Batista traveled to Birmingham, Ala., to be seen by Dr. James Andrews. While meeting with Dr. Andrews, The Animal was informed that he had a decision to make concerning the treatment of the injury. He could either rehab his back, or opt for surgery. If he decides to go with the surgery, Batista could be out of action for as long as three months.
Batista plans on making his decision by the weekend

I will keep up with this story as it unfolds.
What do you think he should do.... have surgery or take the rehabilitation?

Rehab, surgery should be the last resort.

Jeckal V3.0 Rehab, surgery should be the last resort. Completely agree with you. Cutting him up would really honestly take longer to heal then the WWE is saying it should (3 months yeah friggin right). It's hard to heal muscle. And that's all he is.

True I dont particularly like Batista but its a shame to see such a brilliant athlete injured.

Curtis25 Whatever it takes to keep from shortining his career. any thing going to be done about the title? nothing stated yet. I think they are going to wait and see which option he goes for. If it's surgery he'll have to give up the title... if it's rehab he might be able to hang on to it. Who knows. I promise I'll keep track of what's going on. They said in the article that he will decide on Friday so I'll be checking the site again tomorrow.

I figure that he will do some light work and rehab until Survivor Series, lose the title there, and then elect to have the surgery. It's kind of hard to make a decision like this when you're a title holder. And not just any title, but one of the two major ones. If he wasn't Champion right now, it's a no-brainer--take the surgery and recooperate.

I just hope that the title goes to someone other than Eddie , JBL or Undertaker. Yeah I realize that they are pretty much the title talent pool on SmackDown but I really hope that they give it to someone else and give a younger person a chance to prove themselves. oh and if matt Hardy wins it I am done with SmackDown.

Kyra Virika Macbeth They used the RAW invasion thingy as a cover up... It happened during the taping of SD though. I think maybe when he grabbed his back during the beginning of the "match" with Kane, edge, show that was when he got hurt. I didn't see much else that could have hurt him otherwise Regardless of when it happened it SUCKS that a good wrestler was injured! He's set to decide this weekend so I'll keep ya all posted!
