I hear alot that there is a low amount of blacks in things like comic books heroes, anime, movies, models, ect. I like to disagree and show people why I disagree. I understand though that movies are using less and less black actors. Even though there are over 500 light skin to dark skin actors. As a member of an Afro centric family. I grew up watching mostly black cartoons and shows. I didnt watch anime and stuff until I was 14. I got away with that because that anime had a black girl in it. I mean both male, female, light skin to dark skin even mix. here are some websites and videos that support the opposite. I have alot more and I use alot of these as rp characters. So if anyone wants more I have alot. I also have for spanish and so on.

Gotta admit I never really even thought or look around for it. Like I said haven't been too much into comics. I am a very causal readers of comics. I usually only get collected issues or GN from the library cause I don't see the point in spending 10-30 dollars for a slim read. This makes me want to treasure hunt for some.

No body really did for a while.
Alot of people asked for them and there are over 600 of them. But nobody really knows that they were there all along.
It wasn't until P.Diddy made that god awful video about hancock being the only black superhero people started asking again.
But people dont know that for each white superhero they have a black counterpart or something.
Like Iron man and war machine wonderwoman and Nubia captain america and Issac braisley and patriot nick furry lol and so many others.

Oh I question it way before Puff Daddy (that his name and I don't care how he tries to change it). I pop the question shortly after Blankman. That's how I found out about Black Panther, Cloak and Dagger, and all those "Black" Somethings like Black Hawk, Black Lighting, ect.

Blade, spawn, storm, static shock, cyborg, and green latern.

I have a great distaste for black male characters with dyed hair and/or stupid hair cuts/styles. More-so stupid hairstyles. I don't like seeing them with mowhawks or any dumb s**t like that.
I will grin and bare dyed hair though. Raven (Tekken) and so on and so forth.
This occurs in anime more often than in the west. So that's what I'm shooting at with that statement.

I never been to comic-con or anything but from what little I know I don't think we have a lot of color folks in the comic biz. There's a few Asian-Americans and a couple of Latinos but I can't a name a single Black Comic book writer, artists, inker, letterer, and especially not an editor. That's my next project.

((God How late is this comment))
I respect your taste good sir. But I quite enjoy it. I dont like to see the same Big afro or straight white hair on black women. Or the same steve harvey style cut on the men. Though those looks are sexy as hell. After a while you cant tell who's who anymore. Giving different features like red dreadlocks or braids (Like on my avi). Makes the character seem less generic and more there. Especially if they have a good Original personality and written very well. Like vixen heart and Thunder heart heart heart heart heart and many others. And why shouldn't black people ot have green hair if it looks good. I wear my silver hair afro sometimes.

But where is there a prominent black male character with just some simple s**t like..
A simple fade (NOT WITH A FUNKY LOOKING 80'S BOX). A fade or .. just some waves and a clean line. Where is that?
Hair doesn't have to be EXTRA WILD to make a good black character.
---Black Panther is a good example of a "simple look" that works REALLY WELL as a representation of a black male.
--- As is John Stewart (Green Lantern) There needs to be more of these types.

Well there's alot of the men with simple look as well.
Isaiah bradley, Bishop, Mr. terrific, Anasai the spider. There are over 600 of them. Take your pick of the litter. There's the weird alien ones and the normal looking ones.
You can have both.
