HanaKirei Meshta, as was becoming ever more common for the kitten, was wandering almost aimlessly through the lands. He wasn't nearly so interested in the sights and sounds as Tengai, but his uncle's habit had proven useful in one respect at least. There'd never be a day when he minded the company of his family, particularly his parents or his sister. They understood him. They didn't crowd him, didn't pester at him, respected his wishes for silence.
The same couldn't be said for everyone, unfortunately. In the end, that's what these walks of his really boiled down to; time away from lions like that, to clear his head and think.London lay belly-up on a flattened rock, and couldn't help smiling at the sun beat down from above. Nighttime, thanks to her father's assurances of just how unique and special their moon-lit heritage was, would always be her favorite time of day. But that didn't mean she couldn't love sunbathing, did it? (If only moonbathing felt half this good!)

Latonia de la Courtel Imharia flowed through the lands, winding her way through ferns and brush. She enjoyed the lusher lands, and tended to stay away from places like the plains and even the forest. The Oasis was more her terrain. However, there were few playmates to be found there, so she went roaming.
Casalure stayed to the thicker shadows of trees and brush, skirting the sun. His smokey colors non-withstanding, the sun seemed to draw any energy the Spirit-Dream cub had. The pyreflies that danced about him seemed to thrive on shade, night, starlight. The sun merely pulled the life out of him. "Sunlight." He huffed. "I'd prefer moonlight all the time."

Moonlit Monkey Preston was basking on her back next to her sister in the sun, "Londoon.. I like night time better... Make the sun go away.." She joked with a smug smile across her face. That was clever... The young navy colored kitten opened her eyes to look at her sister to make sure she thought so too. Latonia de la Courtel Tenari leapt out of the tree she had been climbing and became visible once she neared the ground. To most, it would have appeared the white femme had appeared out of nowhere. A smug smile on her muzzle, she gave a little stretch and set out at a trot, seeking entertainment. HanaKirei Meshta, on the other hand, didn't really have much of a 'flow' to his movements. He'd tried (more than he really cared to admit), but somehow his paws always found a way to betray him. Snapping branches, tripping over vines, stumbling across rocks -- it was always something. The kitten peered at her sister through half-lidded eyes, smirking. "But my dear sister~, here I thought your beauty could outshine anything. Why should the sun matter then?, " she teased, poking Preston in the shoulder.
"Mrr?" London suddenly rolled onto her stomach, ears perked forward. She couldn't see straight off the bat who it was, but the voice struck a chord. Familiar. "Sounds like we're not the only ones."
She (somewhat begrudgingly) slid off her little rock, trotting gingerly towards the source, motioning to her sister to follow. "Come on. Let's go see who it is." It took little more than the sight of a pyrefly flickering into her line of sight for the sound to click into place. 'Of course!'
A smile slid over her face as she moved closer, the glitter about her eyes and tailfeathers shining in a way almost akin to the stars themselves. Almost out of place amongst what sunlight did manage to filter through the shadows. "Fancy meeting you here."

Moonlit Monkey Reid had a big smile on his face already, thinking of how his life was starting to turn up, but when he saw this white cub his simple smile turned into a grin. What should he say? What should he do? Check the breath... Check the claws, check the starting mane, clear throat and GO FOR IT! ... After waiting a second... NO ! Go for it! "Hey there..." He said with a smooth, coy tone of voice. The kitten femme with a big smile laughed a little at the compliment. "Quite right dear sister.. Quite right... Only matched by you..." Her ears perked up at the other's voice, and at her sisters suggestion, she slid off the rock as well and followed London. Her eyes took a little bit longer to adjust, but eventually she saw who it was and a smile quickly spread across her face. The romantic one who knows how life is! "My my... Fancy that indeed..." Latonia de la Courtel Imharia halted, hearing the familiar sound of her brother's footsteps. Meshta was not the most graceful of cubs, but he was her brother. "Brother dearest." She mewled. "What brings you out here?"
Casalure halted in his slinking process of searching for a place to swim, and turned a welcoming smile on London. "Hey! Shouldn't you be getting your claws done, or sunbathing, Princess?" He teased, then glanced at Preston. "Excuse me, Princesses... Shouldn't you be off getting pampered? Not skittering about in the shadows..."
Tenari glanced around and smiled, noticing Reid. "Hey! I haven't seen you in awhile!" She gave a soft laugh. "How have you been?"

Moonlit Monkey Preston looked a little put off, was that an insult? Was he making fun of them? Looking down at her claws she gave a mildly confused look, "I think they look okay... London's look fine..." Then after thinking about it, she got a little bit of a sour face. "Daddy calls Mommy his princess.. Wait.. Does that make us princess too?" Reid was shaking a little bit as he walked towards Tenari. So he decided to sit down. "Wow... You look g.. I'm alright. How're you doing?" Dark x Deception Synda gently padded around the pridelands. The lioness was bored among belief; none of her friends were around and she was too shy to make new ones. As she passed, a familiar scent came to her. Reid? Could it be? Should she go? Thoughts plagued her of her close friend, she was not sure of what to do. Slowly, she crept over to where he was, but hid so just to watch. Latonia de la Courtel Casalure smiled. "Of course my lady, I spoke in jest.. You are the pinacle of beauty, forgive my mocking..." He bowed and then rose. "And yes, I suppose it would make you Princesses..."
Tena smiled, though it faded slightly when he failed to say what she 'looked'. "I'm, alright, I suppose... How have you been Reid? I know its been awhile... " He was much more grown up than last time they had met. More intimidating, stronger, like the adult he would become one day... HanaKirei Meshta came to a stop himself (with another twig cracking angrily beneath his forepaw). He allowed himself a smile, albiet a small one; a sight generally reserved for Imharia and their parents. "Sister, " he said, nodding to her. "Nothing special. Just wanted some time to think. And you?""My my -- and here I thought you were saying we weren't pretty enough for you as we stood." London couldn't help but smile that much more, fluttering her eyes at him. "Good then. I would have been crushed to hear such a thing from you, Cass." It took two to tango; teasing could be a one-lion game, but now where was the fun in that?

Moonlit Monkey London smiled and giggled a little, "Quite the little charmer aren't you?" She asked whisking back and forth looking at her with a glazed over look, taken by the older male. "Oh yes, completly crushed..."((Uh oh I forsee a problem...)) Reid smiled back at her smile, it was one of the most beautiful sights he'd ever seen... "So where've you been hiding, oh wing-ed one?" He asked teasing her a little as he got up the confidence to stand around her and walk in circles. Latonia de la Courtel Imharia grinned. "Thinking with your feet again? Brother dearest?" She sneezed. "I truly just wanted a walk, perhaps to run into someone new.." She shrugged.
"Never." Cass said seriously, and then smiled. "I would not assume that my words would sway such lovely ladies, and I would not say such things in truth." He glanced at Preston and gave a shrug. "I am compelled to speak the truth when near the ultimate beauties, surely you cannot fault me for that?"
((I think it will be fun... twisted ))
Inati smiled. "I've been at my father's Pride.. I have four younger siblings now, and an elder brother to keep an eye on... I must say I've been rather busy.. But things seem to have balanced out, so I thought I would go wandering.. And who should I find?" She gave a chiming laugh and stood, pacing around after him so they seemed to follow each other around in a circle. Dark x Deception (( Oh I see a train wreck... )) She watched in anticipation looking at the new female. Oh this one was so much prettier than she was and by the look on Reid's face, he was enjoying the view. Her stomach was suddenly beginning to hurt, yet she could not take her eyes off Reid. Was she losing another friend to a lioness now? Choking back some tears, she continued to keep low wondering what would happen.Moonlit Monkey Reid grinned and followed this little wonder around, she had a... Smell... About her. A particular scent that he hadn't been able to find in anyone else. It was intoxicating. "Ahh I s-ss-ee... Well if you ever want to run into me on purpose, you just let me know. Okay?" Hoping she would take that the right way, he winked at her, fighting off the studdering.Preston turned to Cass's sister as she was blushing furiously, having not seen her before. "Oh.. Sor- Hi. I'm Preston." She felt bad for ignoring her, but wasn't about to appoligize to anyone. Latonia de la Courtel PyreDancer blinked in shock, stepping out of the foliage. She was rather impressed that this kit had noticed her, before her own brother did. "PyreDancer, pleasure to meet you."
Tenari laughed. "And if I should wish that, how would I go about letting you know?" She arched a brow and smirked, tossing her head slightly. He was an interesting lion, was Reid. It amused her how he reacted, shy and yet suave. Surely he was like this to everyone?

HanaKirei ((*giggles* XD Indeed~)) Meshta just gave a soft grunt at that comment, batting at the foul branch with his paw. Unsurprisingly, it found a way to snap again; louder this time, if anything. He swore those oversized paws were going to be the death of him someday; literally or figuratively, he'd yet to decide for himself. Easy to tell where his preference in the matter might lie. "This place will probably do you no good. Haven't seen many here." Or any, for that matter. Bar that one pesky kitten... Arcadia was it? (Not that he was particularly concerned with remembering her name in the first place.)"I thought as much." London wasn't one to fall under the young male's spell so easily (at least not outwardly), though there was an underlying spark of fondness in her eyes. Charmer indeed. She flashed him one of those sugary-sweet smiles, reserved for just occassions. "You seem far too sweet to say such hurtful things." Yes. Throw them a bone now and then, keep them coming. This was one admirer she'd rather not let slip away so easily. "So tell me, Cass; you asked why we took to the shadows. What of you?"
EDIT: She turned to PyreDancer as she appeared, turning her smile towards the older cub. "My name is London -- pleasure."Latonia de la Courtel Imharia nodded. "Then, I suppose I shall slowly head back home.. I do enjoy a walk every now and again, and if there aren't many to play with, I suppose it is just as well... I assume you will be along soon enough?" She wasn't sure she would go home, rather, she felt a need to explore this place. It was somewhere she hadn't been, that means she could find all sorts of new things...
Casalure grinned. "The Lady London is too kind in her assessment of me... I am but a wanderer, who speaks the truth as I know it." He glanced at the border of shadow and sunlight. "The sun.. Does strange things to me, weakens me, and the PyreFlies." He glanced at a glowing orb, urging it foward to dance around the female's heads before it returned to him. "It drains me.. So I stick to shadows, and moonlight and starlight which can heal me..." Moonlit Monkey Preston lowered her head with a little smile, her blush quickly receiding. "Nice to meet you." Her sister was talking away with Cass... She sighed a little and returned to her rock to bask. Like this to everyone? Ha, no way. This particular way he only was around Tenari. She was just so... Reid had the slight impression that there was someone else he knew around, but he didn't really care at this moment. "You could let me know in advance. Or mabey I could come to your pride sometime." He said with a little shrug, so she didn't think he was pressing on her. But then again... She was just a cub! sweatdrop Dark x Deception (( Hmm..that might be interesting. xd )) Synda couldn't watch anymore. Turning away, the lioness left the two. Sadly, it wasn't as stealthy as she came. She had left the couple noiselly, her eyes filled with slight unshed tears. After she thought she was far away enough, she came to a small pool filled with water. Looking down at her reflection, she snarled and batted at the water repeatedly with her paws growling in frustration. After a long "battle" with herself, she panted a little still staring at the water. After a while, the tears began to flow slowly.Latonia de la Courtel Tenari laughed. "Very well, I shall keep that in mind.. And if you wished, you would be a most welcome visitor in Rose Wings.." She sensed another, and ceased in her stalking, turning. "A friend of your's, Reid?"
PyreDancer smiled. "And you... I was just exploring the area and I heard Cass, I didn't mean to interrupt.." She gave a slight bow. "Please excuse me, but I should go find my sister." With those final words, she was gone.

Moonlit Monkey Reid took a smell of the air and became horror struck. "Yes... Tenari.. I... I have to go. I'm sorry, please forgive me..." He felt aweful, turning around he took off towards where he heard Synda. She was torn up, his heart automatically sank, now torn apart. Teen angst? Death to thee! "Syn? You... You okay?" Whispering he nuzzled her side. HanaKirei "Hm... " Meshta shifted his weight from one paw to the next, eyes trailing out to the trees. "Yes, I suppose." There really was little need to linger out here for long. A moment of peace was what he'd wanted, and it was what he'd gotten. But...
He peered back at her. "... or we could walk together, if you'd like?"Truth indeed. But again, London knew better than to go blurting that out aloud. It was one matter with Preston, but that was simply the way their family had come to operate. It was a whole other sort of affairs here. No better way to drive praise skittering off out of reach than to come storming out and take it head on. Nudge it, drive it where one wanted it to go. That was the real key. "You're the one who is too kind, Cass, " she said sweetly, flicking her tail out to a side.
London listened on as he went on to explain, a bit more intently than she'd really intended. It really effected him in such a dramatic way? She couldn't help, even if for a moment, staring on in wonder as the pyrefly fluttered overhead. So pretty... she'd honestly never seen anything like those before. "I see... " she murmured thoughtfully a moment later, gathering herself to toss him another smile. "Perhaps... we could arrange to meet again? By moonlight, I mean. My sister and I aren't -- "
She cut herself off, peering wide-eyed at Preston's retreating back as she headed towards the rock. "Sister? Is something wrong?" Her ears drooped a ways. There were few things that could upset her; the easiest by far was seeing her own sibling upset.((I see 'em now! :O Moo!)) Dark x Deception "Leave Synda alone!" She roared loudly over at Reid. The lioness stalked away, slightly tripping over her feet. Without noticing, she fell landing on her face. She coughed gently and got back up continuing to walk. Her head was down, the tears almost blinding her face. Without a doubt in her heart, she knew one things: males were trouble and they caused nothing but hurt!((Umm...ouch?))

Moonlit Monkey Reid's heart sank more watching her take off. When she fell, he took off after her further. "Hey! You okay? Synda.. What'd I do? What is wrong? Talk to me please..." He pleaded trying to look into her swollen eyes. Preston put her head up and looked down at her sister, she'd love to tell her sister but she figured she'd let her have this one... "No, I'm fine, just sleepy. The sunlight is bothering me. Go and arrange a meeting for the three of us to meet under the moonlight. We'll sneak away from Mom and Dad. Tell him to bring a male friend.." She said with a smirk, giving her sister a little nuzzle she pushed her off. Dark x Deception "Leave Synda alone Reid!" She roared again looking away. "Synda does not want to talk to Reid...ever...Synda does not want to talk to Nimbus...ever...Synda does not want to talk to any male EVER!" She looked over at him, her eyes filled with hurt and anger. Roaring loudly, that unusual roar not fit for a female, she took off and ran away as fast as her feet could take her, muscles rippling under that earthen coat of hers. Moonlit Monkey Reid watched her take off, a small silent tear falling down his cheek. God things were going so well. He wanted to follow her, but then again, he didn't want to because she told him not to. So he plopped down right there and sighed, "I'm sorry..." The red teen whispered into the wind. Dark x Deception Synda came to a stop near the lake. She roared out her anger and fell not sure what she could do anymore. She was so tired of running and so tired of the hurting she had been through. "Why is Synda not pretty...?" The lioness seemed to ask. "What is Synda doing wrong?" She looked down at the earth and slightly brushed it against her paw. It fit her so well...the earth was supposed to be strong...not weak. She was nothing like the earth at all..."What is Synda..."
