The Library
Here in the library, all must be silent. A librarian sits behind a large oak desk, stained a dark red. Gen is the name of the libarian. She is a mysterious lady who wears a black cloak around her at all times. She may seem very evil and such with her Black hair and strong accented brown eyes, but she is really a kind lady who is willing to help anyone in the libary. She also seems to know all the books by heart. Past her desk there all tables of all shapes and many sizes. All are made of smooth, polished oak. The chair are old fashioned, with high backs and red velvet cushions.
The bookshelves lay just behind those tables. Dim lights shine on the tall structures, highlighting every line, every indent of the red wooden bookshelves. On these bookshelves ranged thousands, maybe even hundreds of thousands of books. All types of books were lain out, from the old, leather bound books, to the newer, glossy ones. Tall books and smaller books, pure and dark, none were refused.
In the back, behind the rows of shelves, was a heavy black curtain, blocking all light from whatever lay behind. A stale odor of dust and dirt came from that covered room. Over the wide door was a wooden sign, this one stained dark instead of red. Carved into it, in light beige letters, was the words "Restricted section". There were mirrors placed conveniently so that the librarian could see this curtain from whereever she was. No one was allowed back there without a pass. - Celestial

Tallan stood with a firm poise, almost like a statue in front of the bookcase. Both his legs were close together, his body slightly turned to the left. His right, gloved hand held onto the rim of a book with his index finger, barely nudging it from the shelf. He smirked...ever so slightly with his left, ungloved hand holding his chin. As he was often accustomed to, he wore a black suite and tie, not at all unlike him. The suit was a fine material, the type a man in wealth such as himself would be wearing. Perhaps he made that too obvious though, a subtle way to flaunt himself. Some of that arrogance even showed in his smirk, in the stance he took while toying with the book. The way he kept his hair, how clean and groomed it was, almost obsessively. The braid he held it in which reached nearly to his lower back, instead of letting it fall loosely. Yet this arrogance, this subtle flaunting of his stature was not so apparent...in his eyes. Tallan finally turned away, slipping the book from the shelf and opening it. He held the top of the book, rather then the bottom, those eyes of his quickly moving from the left to the right side of the page. His eyes were a very gentle, very calm blue color. An almost hypnotic yet sad gaze, a gaze one could literally get lost in...or the kind of gaze a person would do anything in their power just to avoid looking into it. He was alone tonight, as it was quite late, standing in front of a nearby table and simly looking over the book, though a bit uninterested in it.

Chryos wandered aimlessly into the musty building, his eyes seeming to light up as the sight of all of the literature filled them. How many hundreds of years of history lay here, sitting within walking distance. Reading was one of Chryos's many hobbies, especially historical writing. Romantics like Poe and Bryant, even Shakespeare's playwriting. Many people he knew of this era chose not to delve into such writings, they being so different from the present. Completely immersed in all the writing around him Chryos, in a complete coincidence happened to stumble over Tallan, bumping into him and nearly tripping, he catching himself on a heal and standing once again upright. Oh quite sorry, pardon me sir...oh by the way I'm Chryos, nice to meet you, and sorry about the trip up. sweatdrop

Tallan blinked as he felt himself swiftly nudged by another. His eyes barely moved to glance at the individual, and stared for but a few moments. "I don't believed I actually asked." was his only response before taking his eyes back to the book, then turning away from him. A few moments passed before he closed his eyes, shaking his head. "Hmm...rubbish..." he lifted the book and closed it with his right hand. Turning to the shelf he had taken it from, he shoved the book with enough force to make a bit of a loud clap from the wood, keeping his index finger against the spine. "Truly, these simple testaments are better as kindle then literature to be read. It's almost..." he turned his head to face Chryos, there was a very soft, gentle smirk on his face. "...disturbing. Wouldn't you say?" again with his eyes, the near vacant, distant and soft gaze, even not it probably pierced into Chryos' very soul to steal his thoughts and know his truths. "Oh, I'm sorry, I did not quite catch your name." his tone even matched the hollow gentleness shown through his eyes as he spoke in soft whispers.

Rivin slowly stepped into the library. It hadn't been long since he was here. Other than studying this was were he spent most of his time. Through a book shelf Rivin saw two guys, they looked to be new. Well atlest newer than he was, so he thought he might as well go say.
Rivin quickly put his book down and walked towards the two of them. They both looked to be older than he was. The taller guy, was reallly really old. Rivin wasn't sure whether this was his wand showing the mans really age, or if he really did look like that. The other guy, who shorter then Rivin had a strange darkness that surarounded him. Just like Kayla.
Rivin soon reached both of them, a wide smile on his face.
"Hey! You look new...I'm Rivin..who are you guys?" Rivin said cheerily.

Once again, his eyes shifted from their place to the new figure with a swift, somewhat bizzare after image left for a mere second. "Hmm..." he was still complacent, calm as he addressed this other. "You are the second who has spoken to me first. Yet, as with the first, I did not ask for your name." he walked passed Rivin to the opposite shelf. Tallan placed his hand against the bookshelf, then pulled it away. The book seemed to thrust itself from the shelf into his hand, leaving a quick, brief trail of dust around it. "Of course...unless you have something to interest me as a reason to speak to me, I see little cause to continue a conversation with you." the book opened within his hand, and again he perused through the pages with a hint of disinterest in the words written.

Rivin rolled his eyes quietly, then made a quiet sigh.
"Whatever..." Rivin quickly spun on his heel. He didn't want a confrontation. Those never seemed to end well for him, so insted he did like every parent tells their kid. Just walk away.
Rivin seeing that there wasn't much to do in the library he hadn't alreadu done left with a quick slam of the door, and he was gone.

The large oak doors to the library opened with a gentle hand. Her dark mood had passed and now Fera just wanted to be in a place that was quiet. Her hands lay in her lap as her bag swayed on her hip with her long white skirt. Her eyes were soft now and almost not like herself. But it wasn't strange for her to be in a mood like this when she entered a library. Books seemed to clam her and take her away from the places where she normally felt dark. The small clicks of her heals echoed thought the building as she walked the allies. She was looking for a book to keep her busy for at least an hour, most books she read only took her a 20 minutes at most. She was an avid reader and had spent may hours with her mind latched to the pages of a cold book. Since she had been reading for so long a normal 1000 page book only took her about 40 minutes to read.

Kira looked up from her spot where she was tucked back in a corner. A few people were in the library. She hadn't even realized when they had entered. Of course she had spoken with Gen on the reason for why she was here. SHe'd been looking for the books containing the history of a dead people and she had thought it might be here. SHe really wanted to go through the restricted section but she knew the Gen wouldn't let her even if she had asked. She placed the book she'd been reading down and decided to take a chance. She moved forward, tugging on her uniform skirt. As she passed the people by the book shelf, she bumped into one of them. SHe blushed brightly and bowed her head in respect. "I'm...I'm sorry. Forgive me for bumping into you." She spoke softly. Talking to people wasn't her best skill.

This seemed to be one of the few places between class and training where he could find silence. Fitting how it was the library, why hadn't he thought of this before. The librarian was a little loopy, but it seemed to keep everyone quiet. He sat in a chair away from most of the crowd. His legs crossed, with a novel open in his lap. His elbow on the table, the other holding the book open as he read. A few locks of his smooth chestnut hair that had freed itself from the braid it was tied in fell to frame his face as he contently read.
He had quite a bit of time, 30 minutes to be exact before he was to report to his next class. He cursed the gap of time between classes which commonly left him with little to do and not enough time to do anything he could truly immerse himself into like training.

Kira continued backing up as she bowed. She bumped into a table and swallowed. 'Great this is so not my day.' Kira looked up at this new person she possibly disturbed. She saw the book he was reading and her eyes went wide. "Excuse me? Where did you get that? I've been looking for it for quite some time."

Tallan's eyes only glanced toward Rivin for a moment or two, disinterested of his actions yet less interested in the book...once again. "Hmph..." was the only sound that came through his closed lips. The book was twirled once, then kept in between his index and middle finger as he moved it nearer to the shelf it came from. But it was the gentle nudge of another that caused him to lose his grip, his eyes widening for a split second as it fell to the floor. He casts a gaze upon her, Kira, and watched as she backed away and stumbled again into a table. "Hmm?" his first response to her question about the book. And speaking of the book, it lifted from the ground and easily slipped back into Tallan's right hand all on its own. "This book? It's garbage..." he thrust the book back into the empty slot. A loud thud could be heard through the room, one which was followed by a similar sound which occured throughout the rows of that one shelf, each book sounding out at once. Yet still Tallan smiled, turning away from the girl, sliding his hands into the pockets of his dress pants. "And this place seems to have become too crowded, too much of a disorganized mess. How sad...that it seems I shall not be able to speak with the one I seek on this dreary, simple night." his calming tone resounded through the library, almost an echo as his form seemed to shift, leaving a brief and translucent image of himself almost. "Perhaps...some other place...will provide more use...?" even though he was speaking outloud, and not to a single person, his gaze swept across Fera. The momentary gaze would be like a flash to her mind, and yet would deepen itself, intrude into her concious and remain many moments afterwards...

Poking her head curiously into the library, Akemi's largee, mixtoned eyes wandered over the books with a smile. "I don't suppose they'd have my book in here..." Moving in, she quietly adjusted her little suit... a basic buisness look, really. Dark green jacket and a matching skirt, a satin blouse of white underneath, and a pair of high-heels on her feet. Slipping on a pair of reading glasses from her coat pocket, the young woman began looking over a few of the choices... shaking her head. "All learning material... Um... Excuse me..." Her eyes moved up to look over the ones nearby, falling on Tallan last. "Sir, I hate to bother but... Is there any chance of astrological mythology books in here??" Rather hopeful for some help, she reached up to move the loose strands of ehr braided hair away... nervous habit

Maia walked into the Library, her Jean bag slung over one shoulder. Running her long fingers through her firery hair, Maia inspected the library. The librarian sat behind a desk, flipping through the pages of some book. Shaking out her hair, Maia slowly took in the red tinted wood. Her green eyes blinked, the whole room was sort of dank, but it probably had some good books. This place was way better then the small library in the orphanage... they only had little kid's books.
The whole school, or at least of what she had seen of it, was amazingly beautiful. Everything was new, in shape and evidently stable. Smiling a small half smile, Maia walked over to one of the tables and plopped down in a chair, shrugging her old jean bag from her shoulder.
Inspecting the old material, she wished she could get a new one, this one was about to rip apart. Sighing she put it down beside the chair, leaning back in her chair. Titling her head slightly to the side, Maia inspected the other people. They were all dressed nicely, in neat and tidy clothes. Looking down at her old blue jeans, Maia smiled. She had sewed in a bunch of yellow fabric. It had actually originated from an old table cloth in the orphanage. It was only stiched onto the original fabric, so that it hung loosely and didn't really interfere with the jeans. It wove up her leg in a spiral, to end mid thigh towards the inside seam of her pants.
Her shirt wasn't as altered. One day they had arts and crafts and the kids were tie-dying some shirts. Maia's had been tie-dyed orange and yellow, it was a tight fitting tank top and looked great on her. It was plain enough, but matched the pants perfectly.
Opening her bag, Maia drew out her scetch book and flipped through the pages, colors flashing beofre her eyes. Hopefully this school would have better pencils and coloring tools, her drawings could be so much more pretty.

"I...would know not of such things. Having been within the confines of this school for but a day, and having been within the confines of this simple place they feel the need to call a library..." he had not even looked toward her before speaking, not until this very moment. His eyes at first glanced at her, and then his head slowly followed before he broke his pause in speech. "...I know not of what you seek, or if it can be found. However..." he turned his head away from her again, and walked forward. He moved about to her side almost, his eyes tilting in her direction for a few moments before he turned himself toward her and spoke again. His hand raised, placing itself along her chin, those saphire like eyes of his peering into her own. "...I doubt this place would be adequate to meet...*your*...needs..." his last few words were whispered. His index finger was the very last part of him to touch her, moving across her chin slowly before removing itself entirely. He turned away from her, in what was almost like the dance of an illusion. His form seemed to fade, or perhaps it was simply the way he moved in such easy strides.
"And such knowledge is much more attainable through individuals...then simple...text..." again, his voice trailed into a very audible whisper. He already had begun to move, a very vague gesture given to Akemi with his finger, bidding her to follow. Before long, his almost subconciously moving form was behind Maia. "So...you create. Hmph, much like she does..." he said as his left hand clasped to his right wrist, both arms folded behind his back. He was refering to Akemi...of whom he seemed to expect...nay, know that she would be right next to him to confirm his words. "It is rare...to find those who create. Rarer still to find those who create the same way as you..." his tone suggested, in a way, that he was familier with the girl seated...and the girl who he spoke to moments before. Yet, this was his first day here...so that could certainly not be...
