The humid air was as thick as the early morning fog rolling in on a cool summer day, and the beads of sweat rolled down the darken filly’s back as her soft brown eyes watched as the sky darkened with another bird gently wavering itself by. She let a small soft whicker escape from her lips as she continued to wander her way through the small thicket of trees and shrubs trying to find the shadow that she had so nimble chased earlier, however without her realization she had lost the direction to where she should have been going, as well the sight of her two brothers whom her father had insist for her not to leave. It wasn’t until she paused for a moment to turn around that her somewhat dreaming drifted mind had come to it senses to see that the two figures that were chasing after her earlier had disappeared.
“Crue?... Caiez? You there?” the small voice ringed out in with a small sign of hope that maybe there were just hiding as a joke upon her, however the only noise the small slender ears heard was the gentle cooing of the of a pair of doves in the lofty branches of the trees. She shook her head, maybe they were only playing a joke on her by hiding behind the trees, or maybe they really weren’t there anymore and well she was lost, not that she minded her father would some how appear aout of now where looking for her and wanting to know why she wasn’t where she was suppose to be until then she would have to keep herself occupied.
That would be easy, she thought as her eyes caught a glimpse of another small butterfly fliting its way through the large trees as she started to dodge after it.
