(Rules of Engagement)

-Division 5-
Division five is a small, laid-back yet organized unit that cares about its members and who they are. We work hard to learn what we know and work even harder to maintain our minds on the battle field and in training. Using kido is more than just chanting words. It is about keeping our focus and control over ourselves when it really counts.
We pay close attention to our members. In order to maintain the solder's mental stability, we will never hesitate to lend a hand to those in need. We expect nothing but the best (In RP) from everyone. Strict (RP) rules ensure that everybody is a leader when it comes to doing what is right. No exceptions are made- everyone is treated equally.
-Kido Warrior Ethos-
-We are the elite few who dedicate ourselves to the performance and mastering of the demon arts known as Kido-
-We always place the mission and our duties before ourselves-
-The safety of our comrades is top priority. Nobody fights alone and nobody is left behind-
-In utilizing our unique power, we shall deploy, engage and blow the enemies of the sereitei into tiny smoking bits in order to protect and fulfill our duty as shinigami-
Rules & Expectations:
(Please note, all rules and expectations are subject to change and editing.)
PLEASE NOTE:
Not only does this Division have rules, but this whole guild in fact runs on a strict set of rules when it comes to characters and role playing. Please be sure to read them on the Guild front page as well as this- Character power/rank information. If you do not get the concept that a captain can mop the floor with your hide, then I will direct you to this thread personally. ^^

TO JOIN THE DIVISION:
Okay, there seems to be a bit of a misunderstanding in the application process so I will try to point you newcomers in the right direction-
The application is located HERE
Hopefully this will keep the process going smoothly but that does not mean that it's all down hill from there. Check it out and you'll find out.
LITERACY:
This squad is strictly literate, any off topic discussion will be made obvious with = ((OOC: )), or (( )). All RP rules apply here as within the entire guild. If you put your time into creating good Role-Playing (RPing)
There is a minimum of three (3) lines per-role play post. Writers block is understandable, but this standard / rule, is asking of very little, please keep your posts above three whole lines for every “In Character” (IC) post. There is no maximum…
Writing ability: Okay, I understand if all of you aren’t up to par on your spelling and grammar. Nobody’s perfect but there’s no excuse not to learn and improve your writing ability. Using “chat speak” and using asterisks (*) to describe your movements while in character is not permitted within this guild anyway (if you read the rules you’d know this). In 5th squad, we do not tolerate it at all. However, that does not mean that you’ll get turned away or kicked out for not trying. Everyone has room for improvement so if you’re having trouble on your writing skills and you want to improve, then I’ll take the time to train you myself if needed.
Here I bear a gift to you- A little grammar help for the common writer. These are words that confuse a lot of people and are often used wrongfully, but I’ll do my best to clear that up for you.
Where- A place
We’re- Short for “we are”
Ware- Relates to that of an object (bought) such as “glass ware” or “cook ware”.
Wear- Describes something that has been worn on your person or the erosion of something (worn down).
Were- This goes were the others don’t fit. The correct definition would be “that is to say”
Which- Direction, one or more places
Witch- Evil person who uses magic or a term that can describe your 2nd grade teacher.
Their- Belonging to someone else
There- A place (notice its similarity to “where”. Something about that “h” and “ere” must have a connection) or
They’re- Short for “they are”
Your- Belonging to you
You’re- Short for “you are”
Its- Something belonging to “it”
It’s- Sort for “it is”
The quick version-

This is all I have for now. This’ll probably be updated when I get more time.
Activities will be monitored, if your character is within a seat, you must be active within one (1) RP at least once a week, this means: at least one (1) post per week. I have only two warnings before I’ll replace your character with somebody else’s. Any one without a seat is required to post at least once a month or you will be removed from the squad completely. This will all apply if you do not state whether or not you will be active during those requirements, Real Life (RL) is more important than RPing. [NOTE: this rule is not permanent, for reasonable excuses your seat will be returned; such as a family member passing away or your moving and unable to get to a computer.]
You are allowed to create your own thread within this squad, but first please state whether or not it is an In Character (IC) thread, or an Out Of Character Thread (OOC). This will also apply to the threads that I have created, if you see (OOC) before the thread title it is an out of character topic; and if you see a (IC) it is an In Character topic, which is for Role-Playing Purposes. The tag, (PRP) also works for IC threads that you wish to be between specific people only.
P.S. If you ever have any questions, suggestions, or complaints about fifth squad or any other squad for that matter, please contact me through PM’s, I don’t want drama spilled into the rest of the guild. All problems should be handled by a guild moderator (crew member).
