There it stood, in all of its looming dark glory. The Seven of Seven building stood tall on the clear sunny day. Even if the weather was teetering on 90 degrees the sight of the building, and the memory of Kerylia sent a shiver down Dane's spine.

The chubby green skinned boy stood on the sidewalk by the facility. He had been on his way to the pool and thus had a towel slung over his shoulder, a bottle of sunscreen in one hand, and was clad in a red and black vector swimsuit. His towel was doubled over concealing snacks and goodies inside of them. He still managed to eat relatively healthily even though it was still very often. His fear of ending up like that glutton demon still burned deep within him.

Passing the facility was inevitable if Dane wanted to go to the public pool but it always seemed to strike a chord with him no matter how many times he had done it.

"Huh?" Dane muttered snapping out of his daze. His head drifted down to spot the boy that was on the other side of the gates. He was quite an odd looking little guy, very unique skin, some sort of bones going around his shoulders, almost like Duncan's, and rather sharp looking claws.

After the first glance Dane's mind next went to what the boy called him...big ears? Pfht. He raised an eyebrow at the boy, "Big ears huh?" Dane commented walking a bit closer to the gate, "Close but no prize, my name's Dane," He said feeling in a better than average mood today.

"Why are you here at the facility? A class? Meeting some one?" Dane wasn't sure why the boy was seemingly just loitering around, he didn't know anyone who would just spend time at the facility.

"Live here?! Wow, well that's gotta be a bummer," Dane commented squatting down on the other side of the gate so he could be at eye level with the other boy.

"Yeah, I guess I do have big ears," Dane said with a shrug, didn't bother him much, "Help me to hear all that much better," He said pointing to one of them.

"So, what's your name kid? Or should I just call you Bright Eyes?" He said with a grin. It was a little odd that the other kids eyes didn't reflect anything, or seemingly so, it stuck out, so he kinda liked the ironic nick name.

Dane laughed vocally, "Chasing the technicians around? Nice Bright Eyes," The mental image of those white coats running around being chased by a rambunctious little guy put a big grin on his face.

"Well, nice to meet ya Pepper, though I think I still like Bright Eyes," He said with a chuckle as he stood back up, "So are we gonna just keep talking through the gate or should I come on in?" Dane asked.

"Oh I know it is, but it's better then having you come out here and we just sit on the side walk or something eh?" Dane commented as he got through the gates. He really never thought he'd be coming into this place again on his own time. It just felt strange.

"So Bright Eyes, what do you do all day? Don't you have any friends or people to play with?" He asked the boy. Dane stretched his arms above his head and bent backwards stretching out his back with a yawn. He was used to being at the pool by now, and swimming, so the adreneline waring off made him slightly sleepy. He straightened his swim trunks and set the towel on the ground behind him.

"Luthor? Is he a pet of yours or something?" Dane asked wondering if the facility even allowed pets here.

Dane figured that since he was going to be here for a little while longer at least he'd take a seat, and a snack, he was getting hungry. He sat down on the ground across from Pepper and unfolded his towel to reveal a bunch of snacks. He pulled out a couple of bags of Gardetto's and offered one to Pepper.

"Well I was heading for the pool. I always have to pass by here to get there so I was a little surprised to see you, never seen anyone else here before," He answered opening his snack and beginning to munch on a handful.

"A...hellhound?" Dane asked surprised, "Now I remember why I don't like coming here...they have the most screwed up things hanging out around here," He said with a shake of his head.

"Uhm, well I usually offer some to others that ask, or people that I meet down at the pool," He said scratching his ear and pulling the towel of snacks in between them, "Though yeah maybe, if you don't want any of it I might eat it all," He said with a shrug, "Really though, if you want something just take it," He offered again. The preteen had made quick work of the gardetto's. Folding up the bag and setting it on one side of the towel he grabbed a package of peanut butter crackers and started in on those.

"So Pepper, don't you have any hobbies other than chasing techs around?" He asked with a snerk.

"Really? That must get kinda boring though doesn't it?" Dane asked feeling a little sorry for the kid. There must really not be much to do around here.

"Eh?" He asked a bit surprised at the turn of conversation, " I dunno, pretty fast I guess if I tried," He shrugged again grabbing at another bag of chips. Going through his snacks like clockwork. It seemed like a very absent minded task for him.
