This place, it looked overly familiar.
Uzuri was out wandering, again. That seemed to be the only thing she did these days, for she couldn't bring herself to sit around her den all day with nothing to do. Besides, the air outside, it felt wonderful, and it helped her clear her head.
In recent months, she had mellowed out some. She no longer bore the rough and edgy personality that was overly paranoid and rash. She no longer attacked those she didn't know, or lurk only in the bushes.
Trotting along, a small smile rose upon her face.

 Shaila hardly ever wondered. Or at least she was too afraid to do it alone. Though, she had met a nice overly excited male who was more then happy to show her the world. She didn't know what to do. Having to get out and away from him for a while, she decided to walk. To think, in the land that she knew. She was about to leave it, leave it to the dangerous world out there waiting for her. He'd protect her right?
Shaila was still as shy as ever. Trying to get over that, just never seemed to work. She tried to meet those who she hadn't seen before, but that never ended too well. It was hard to believe that she could be so shy, and scared. At least the scared part kinda faded, but would probably return the moment she moved out of lands she knew. What things held out there for her? She seemed lost in her own thoughts, that she didn't even notice the bright blue dog she had seen before, many moons ago.

Now she knew why she knew this place. Standing before her, oblivious to her existance, was that small pup she had met so long ago. Uzuri had forgotten that she was, in fact, younger then that shy pup she had met, but it was clear now as she stood in front of her.
"You..." tilting her head, Uzuri felt herself happy that she had run into this dog again, even if it was only this once. Uzuri knew that she couldn't stay in this happy lull for long-- she knew that something had to give. So for this moment, here, with this old friend, she would stretch this time of peace and happiness for as long as she could.

Shaila noticed the other finally, having heard something she snapped out of her little daze thing. She looked towards the blue and white wild dog she had once seen before. Though, it had been so long ago it felt. "U-uzuri?" She had at least remembered the other's name. Which wasn't too surprising. Shaila was good with remembering silly things. She had stopped moving completely now.

"Mmhm." Uzuri nodded briskly. The sound of someone else saying her name was nice, and it warmed her insides. Biting her bottom lip, she searched her brain for her name. It had been awhile, and Uzuri wasn't used to seeing many animals more than once. "It's......." Releasing her bottom lip, her eyes lit up as the name came to her. "Shaila!" Her tail was wagging ecstatically. The name just rolled off of her tongue, and the fond memories of their first meeting came rushing back to her.

She'd be blushing if her fur was a light color. She felt odd seeing as someone had remembered her name. It was a strange thing. She was normally use to everyone forgetting her. She was so quiet, it was easy to forget her. "Y-yes." She said with a nod. Her tail wagged a little, which more looked like twitching.

"Haven't changed a bit." Uzuri smiled at the other dog. She was just the same as when they last met. She, however, felt as if she had made great strides in the right direction. She had become happier, and wasn't as cold towards others.
She wasn't....right?
"You should talk more. You're far too pretty to stay quiet all of the time." She smiled vibrantly at Shaila, further decreasing the distance between them. It seemed as if Uzuri was determined to get Shaila to come out of her shell.

Shaila blushed at the other's comment, though it wasn't noticeable. "T-thank you." was all she said at that. She still thought herself as nothing very special. The accessories on her were what made her pretty. They added color to her, and matched her eyes. "H-how have you been?" She asked her. with a innocent smile. Shaila didn't have to move as the other approached her. Never did Shaila find the other rude or cold. Or if she had been, she never noticed.

Uzuri titled her head to the side a bit and smiled. Just the same. "I've been.....fairly good these days, I suppose." While her exterior had softened, she still found it hard to stay with her 'mother' as the days went by. Too often did she return to roaming th savannah, alone and gloomy.
"Well, how has the shyest girl I've ever known been doing?" she raised an eyebrow to Shaila, a bemused smile on her face. "Not getting into trouble, are you?"

She blushed heavily now, making the color of it come threw her gray fur, but only slightly. "I-I'm doing alright." She said with a nod. "G-going with someone to s-see the world. H-he said I needed to, a-anyways." She said with a nod. Her voice was the same, just more adult since she was a pup. It was so odd hearing that she hadn't changed at all. Of course, she was talking more then when she was a cub perhaps. Even getting away from her family. Breaking away from them, slowly. He was helping her.

"Ooooh?" Uzuri moved her head in very close to Shaila's, immensly intrigued with her new life. "A guy?" she smirked, happy to see that she was coming out of her shell.
"I think it's good that you're going to travel. It has a calming affect on the soul." at least she thought so. Her days roaming after she had found someone made her feel more at ease with herself, and helped to calm a burning fury inside her.
"I want to hear more about this guy. He must be amazing if he's with you." and Uzuri expected nothing but the best for a dog like Shaila. For the short time she had known her, she had always felt that she was special, trying not to compare her own imperfections to Shaila.

"Y-yes..." She said quietly. As if it might be a bad things he met a male. She blushed, though unable to be notice under her dark fur unless someone was looking around her noise. "I-I wouldn't k-know. I've n-never been away f-from my family". She would probably never talk normal like some other's did. She didn't find it easy to speak. Which was probably why most of what she said was quiet anyways. She tried to speak up, she really did. It just felt impossible to do.
"A-amazing?" She looked at the other. She wasn't sure what she was getting at on that. He was normal... wasn't he? "H-he's hyper." She said with a nod. "N-not like me at a-all." Which was probably the best of all things. He was flirtatious too, but she didn't quite know that. "H-he thinks I need to s-see the world." she said With a nod. "W-we are going to the mountains f-first."

"Somehow, I think that's just what you need." Uzuri giggled a bit, happy for Shaila and this male she was with. She, herself, had recently found a male that she had fallen head over heels for, though he wasn't hyper in the least.
"Going to see the mountains?" her eyes grew wide. "You know, out of all the places I have been, I've never seen the mountains." she closed her eyes, just imagining what they must be like. "They must be amazing...you lucky duck!" she nudged Shaila's shoulder playfully, overjoyed that someone in her life was able to do so much.

Shaila couldn't say she was falling for him. At least not yet, she couldn't. He was just a friend to her. Which she didn't know why the other was saying he was just want she needed? She raised a brow.
"I.... y-you've been o-other places?" She asked her curiously. "He s-said something about s-snow." She said with a nod as she was nudged. She gave a weak smile and eyed the grown for a moment. She wasn't sure about anything, but figured she best go along with it.

"Let's just say that I've made my way around the savannah." Uzuri smiled, not wanting to show her pain and suffering from that time in her life. The only reason she had been anywhere was because she was abandoned and forced to survive on her own. But she didn't want to sadden her friend with that story.
"Snow sounds amazing." she shook her fur briskly, wanting to travel more, but this time for better reasons. "I've heard stories of snow. A bird told me about it once. He said that although it's cold, it sparkles like the morning sun."
