The sun was shining brightly here, out of the woods, on the far south-east edge of the pack's new territory. It was so bright, in fact, that the white parts of a multi-toned wolf stood out starkly against the grassy green of the meadow she was running across.
"Rabbit, rabbit, rabbit, where did you go?" she wondered to herself, muttering quietly under her breath as if she hadn't meant to speak at all. A flash of white, over there, down the hole, into darkness. Away. Gone. The female wolf's face knotted with consternation for a fraction of a second before she spied another rabbit, on the other side of the meadow, and took chase. She was far and had not concealed herself, the second rabbit did not need much luck to escape her.
After a while she sat, panting in the sun's warm summer rays, feeling the soft glow of her muscles as they shed their excess heat from her rapid dashes around the open grassland. She had never been great at hunting but her running around today was merely a young wolf's exuberance.
Anyway, that wasn't what she was here for - she was hunting wolves for her sister!

Lithium's heart soared. Her paws slid across the ground soundlessly, ears tilted forwards, but her eyes were connected to the form of her boyfriend, her Seiphyr, and his white and purple splashed pelt. Any time spent with him was wonderful time, and it was his idea to go for a wander. After all...LSD didn't need her much anymore. He was managing on three legs just fine, even if he was a little bit moody still. She giggled and pressed her small wolf body up against Seiphyr's, nipping at his ear like a pup. "Where are we going?"Seiphyr's muscles were loose as he moved beside Lithium, the girl he'd fallen head-over-heels for. It was something about her-- perhaps because she was so happy, all the time? He wasn't quite sure why he loved her, he just knew that he loved her. He was a little older than her at about eleven months. Nearly an adult, he was still small for a male, yet bigger than her. She was just small.
He grinned over at her as she bounded along at his side. "Nowhere inparticular, love," he murmured, licking her cheek. "We're just following the wind..."

At first Sati didn't see the two shapes moving towards her, in fact, she hadn't noticed anything much at all for a few minutes whilst she tracked a badger-shaped cloud across the sky. A flicker of white tugged at the corner of her eyes, then a more insistent purple. Purple wasn't to common a colour here - too much grass. The spark of pink, though, that's what brought her head down quickly, eyes focusing onto the two creatures making their way across the land.
Others!
The she-wolf's ears pricked up, her tail wagged and her whole form positively exuded enthusiasm as she cantered across the distance between them. When she got a little closer, what she judged as 'close enough' she howled a long "Helloooooo!"
They seemed to be youngish - maybe like herself - barely grown. She couldn't tell from here if they were male or female but it didn't really matter to her. "Hiiii I'm Sati" she chuffed breathlessly as she got closer, grinning slightly, tongue sticking out as she panted with her short exertion.

They managed about five more paces before Seiphyr paused, nose twitching. The scent of a pack was strong here... A new pack, it seemed... His ears folded back for a second, looking between Lithium and the rock which the alpha had marked out as the boundary line. "I think we should head back," he murmured softly, but it was too late. They had been spotted... The strange-looking wolf let out a howl of greeting and he bristled slightly, lowering his body to the ground, eyes darting back and forth, looking for an escape. He just hoped that the female came in peace.
Lithium turned her face towards Seiphyr, confusion knitting her brows. But they were already so far away from home... What made him think they should head back? She wasn't done spending time with him. If he took her home now, he'd return to Gomorrah, and stay there for a few more weeks, spending time with his adopted mother's nephews. She frowned when a howl lit the air.
Her head jerked up, ears focusing on a white and dappled little wolf headed their way. She saw Seiphyr tense, as if he was about to run or cower, but she trotted forwards with a wildly wagging tail. "Sati? I'm Lithium!" she barked happily, pleased to see someone. Perhaps Sati was why Seiphyr felt so off. "This is Seiphyr. Feel free to call him Sei." Her lips quirked into a wide grin.

Sati was thrilled! They seemed young, friendly and even had familiar colouring - many of the wolves of her old pack had some measure of white and purple even if only in the eyes. So much purple, though, and so strong, she loved Lithium's pelt instantly. The attitude of the young female delighted her, too. So many did not respond to her happy greetings with the same ardour - often she was told off for such 'outbursts' but how could anyone hold their happiness in on a day like this?
"Litheeumm and Say... Sigh?" she wasn't sure she had cought the short for of the other wolf's name correctly but she did her best, trying to get her tongue aroun the words carefully. "It's so good that you're here, I was looking for others!" she blurted out. Her grin was genuine and soft, extending to her pale purple eyes.
"Are you here to stay? Did you come here on your own?" she blurted and then added what had become Kalain's standard question "Do you need any help?". She loved the idea of helping Kalain and his idea of helping all others. It seemed a beautiful idea to wander around and help those who needed it - though she hadn't caught the nuance of sadness that tainted the activity for her mentor.
