((No one but Daimyn may post, unless Daimyn grants you permission. <3))People who may Post I figured it's about time. Sorry guys! o.o JadeEye Reivan Thalion Anyone in Devvyl's pack Devvyl's History Devvyl lost his pack one day by exploring too far, and he was unable to find his way back. By this time, he'd already travelled miles away from home, finding himself in the company of the other wolves in the area. So far he's met Soul and Lera, and he's been looking for other wolves to meet since then. Perhaps his sense of direction will improve as he gets older. xd Devvyl's met new friends, the pups Selia and Elphaba! And HE GREW. :O As an adolescent, he can catch quite bigger prey than just mice now. Devvyl's now a fully grown wolf, caught in a love triangle between our two beautiful female adults... Selia and Elphaba! xD Devvyl and Selia have become mates, and have started their own pack, with Elphaba as beta. heart Devvyl's Personality Devvyl isn't used to being alone; he wants to find someone whom he can hang around, but at the same time, losing his pack has given him a feeling of distrust towards everyone. But Devvyl's slowly coming out of his shell, much with the help of Selia and Elphaba. As he's grown, his personality has changed a bit as well. As the three friends grew into adolescence, friendship grows strained as emotions become complicated. Devvl was fairly oblivious to the thought of GIRLS, although both his best friends are female. He realized that he wass in the middle of a very complicated situation -- both Selia and Elphaba had feelings for him, and he had feelings for both. To make matters worse, Feanao disliked Devvyl and Elphaba... but liked Selia. During this time he was very introverted and he seems shy, though it was more likely that he was more deep in thought than actually shy. Adulthood brought on the need to make a decision, and Devvyl chose Selia. Since then the three have bonded more; Devvyl's relationship with Elphaba has settled into a strong friendship.

Selia Selia is one of the two pups that Devvyl hung out with when he was very young, and they have become very close, accepting each other as lifemates. They are alphas of their very own pack, with close friends giving them emotional, moral, and physical support. Elphaba Elphaba was the first pup besides himself Devvyl had ever seen in the Woods, and she and Devvyl are quite close. Selia joined up with them soon afterward, and they've grown up together. Once Elphaba had feelings for Devvyl, but they've since diminished and Devvyl and Elphaba have a very close friendship. Elphaba has taken the beta female position in their pack. Yero Yero is a wolf that Selia adopted as a pup. Yero thinks of Selia as a mother, and while Devvyl and Yero haven't seen each other much, Yero probably views Devvyl as something of a father-figure... perhaps? Hige Hige definately thinks of Devvyl as a father, and Selia as a mother. Selia took Hige in soon after grew to adolescence. Perhaps there was some jealousy in there at one point...? Anyway, Hige is extremely loyal, and will defend his "parents" whenever he can.
Raine
Raine stumbled upon Devvyl as he was chowing down on a young fawn, and nearly peed herself in terror. xd Apparently she's perhaps had some bad experiences with other wolves in the Woods (Issac! -gasp- Although Devvyl doesn't know that...). At any rate, Devvyl gave the rest of his meal to the hungry pup, and offered her a place in his pack, which Raine gratefully accepted.
Soul
Soul was the first wolf Devvyl ever met upon arriving in the Woods as a pup, and thus made a heavy impression on him. She gave him shelter, and Devvyl hasn't forgotten this. Since then Soul has agreed to join his and Selia's pack.
Thayne
Devvyl's only recently met Thayne, a young pup whom Hige has brought into their ranks. He seems very used to strict alphas... Devvyl doesn't really know much about him.
Fëanáro
Devvyl met Fëanáro when he was a teen, and Fea, a pup. Fëanáro mistook him for the alpha male in the area. Devvyl had only recently grown out of puppyhood, and was quite confused and probably not too collected. Apparently Fëanáro took that first impression to heart because Fëa didn't like Devvyl much. Later, when pack-forming was happening, Fëanáro apparently took a liking to Selia. He thinks that Devvyl stole Selia from him, and once he flung himself upon Devvyl as his back was turned, and Selia retaliated by giving him a sound beating. Now, Fëanáro is the only wolf Devvyl truly hates -- and Fëa swears up and down that he will kill Devvyl if he ever gets the chance.
Leradien
Lera was another wolf that made an early impression on him as a pup, even if he's only seen her once or twice since then.
Notoka
Devvyl's only seen Notoka once, and doesn't know his name.
Isaac
Devvyl's met Isaac only once. He's a rather odd one..

(Each roleplay session is headed by the title (if applicable), who it was with, and the names of their wolf or wolves.)Breath of Fresh Air with Otsune, "Leradien" Daimyn Devvyl made his way to the river and found a shallow spot where the water flowed slowly, forming a sort of pool of fresh water, perfect to drink from. He found a large rock to lay upon, and reflect upon his thoughts.
He was thinking, yet again, of Selia and Elphaba... and he sighed, laying his head upon his paws.
((Wow, this isn't too good... Hopefully I'll get some inspiration when you reply, Otsune. xD)) Otsune ((I wub you, Daimyn! heart )) Lera was a bit upstream upon the time Devvyl came about. She seemed as if she was alseep, but instead she was in deep meditation. She had been trying desperatly to control these....'seer powers' but knew not how to go about doing so. But her mind had opened up, as if the powers were talling her what do do, how to go about controlling them. Leradien had found that inorder to break into anothers thoughts you needed to select the whisper, and zero in on it. When the effects first set in on her her thouse were out of control, and she suffered. But as now, Lera was able to tone down the whispers in her head, and select them. Finding that she could talk to animals as well Lera would constantly break into their minds, and thoughts (which were very little), unfortunatly she had to be very close to do so, and would often give her a terrible headache afterwards. As Devvyl approached the river one voice rose in her mind (which often did so when the creatures were close, helping her to hunt...somewhat). Her ears perked up, as she insteantly recognized the voice. Devvyl she thought to herself. Lera had not seen him since she was a teen, and he a pup. She was curious to see how he had come about. Lera padded off in his direction. Arriving she found a very sorrowful face, as if a gloomy cloud loomed over his presense. Of course he was larger and much strongly built now, but his face was sad. Ahe could not only see it but feel it now. The air had grown thin around him, with a slow breeze. She gave a shutter and approached him slowly. Daimyn ((-snuggles!- xD Eek, my posts's all short compared to yours... ._.))
The recognizable scent of a female adult came to him suddenly, and he realised that if he'd been paying attention, he would have smelled her sooner. Cit? he wondered to himself, but as he picked up his pace and trotted closer, he could tell that it wasn't Cit's scent.
Leradien, Devvyl thought with a sense of recognition. He barked once to her in greeting, and his tail waved in the air. Still, it didn't take a Seer to tell that he was feeling glum... Otsune Lera gave a weak smile, Devvyls emotion piercing her through the heart. Lera padded towards him, her now healthy body moving with ease. Devvyl had grown much in her time away, and seemed to be a whole different wolf. Lera sat down next to him, her golden eyes soft and mother like. "What's up?" she spoke softly, looking to him. ((uh, small post xD; )) Daimyn ((You can have Lera hear his thoughts if you want her to. xD))
Wallowing in self pity when I should be trying to make a decision... Oh, not much. You?
((Crap, I meant this to be so much longer but I'm being kicked off the computer. o.o Sowwies!)) Otsune ((lol, k xD *clings* X3 )) Unkowingly Lera had slipped into his mind. In the past when ever she broke into another's mind the creature could feel her presense, and was jolted with a great sense of fear, but right now, was nothing of the sort. She made a mental note to herself to investigate furthur later. Lera took her gaze away from him, her head slowly moving to look out to the water. A few moments of silence. "What kind of decision?" she asked, aware of what she was saying. Her voice was quiet, almost choked and dry. Daimyn Devvyl's head swivelled toward the female adult, and he stared at her, slackjawed. How had she known what she was thinking? He'd only asked her aloud what was going on wih her. Was she a Seer...? He'd never before met one, only heard of them. They were expecially rare wolves.
I, uh. He realized he really had no clue what to say as to her question. Did he want to tell another wolf, particularly one he didn't know all that well, the kind of problems he was currently going through?
And why did she ask it in a way that almost sounded as if she already knew?
I'm... currently in a sort of, difficult situation, I guess, he began hesitantly. With my two friends, Elphaba and Selia. I guess I consider them both very much more than friends... he had been intending to say something more, but he trailed off, unable to find his voice again. Otsune As Devvyl swung his head to her Lera moved not a muscvle in her body. Hey eyes were focused on the water, and what were once happy were now sad and distant. Her mouth held a weak smile and her face spoke as if she was reacalling a very sad, painful, distant memory. A long silence hung between Devvyl's words and her response. "The same thing happened to be," she started, her voice was soft, as if her body was refraining from letting her speak. "but of course, I was one of the females in the situation you speak of...the kind that didn't come out being the beloved one..." she paused to collect her thoughts. "Ah, but I shouldn't say that so negatively for I'm partially top blame. He," the name she subsituted for Notoka, "was in so much pain...just as you are now. I couldn't bare to see him in that pain aned so I made him go with the other female." Another long pause stood here. "There is not a moment when I do not think abotu that day, if I had made the right desicion. Even if all is peaceful now it still hurts. Right here." Lera brought up her paw up to her chest where her heart resided, her head still turned out to the water. Daimyn The young crimson male listened to her speech intently, sympathy clouding all other emotions he might have been feeling before. He hadn't given the slightest thought as to the idea that perhaps someone had gone through the same thing as he had, and there were wolves out there that had suffered through the same ordeal, and had come out burned, and badly.
I don't want that to happen to Selia or Elphaba. I don't want to hurt anyone, he told her. But I know that eventually, I'll have to. Otsune Lera listened and sat, her fur ruffling slightly in the wind. She had nothing left to say.

Rendezvous with Tweek, "Elphaba"; Nikui, "Selia"; and Thalion, "Fëanáro". Daimyn ((For Tweek and/or Nikui and/or Thalion, whenever we need this fer ... whatever we may need it fer... -pokes it-))
Devvyl had spent the last several suns pondering over the situation he'd recently found himself in, and still had come to no conclusion. Truly, how many hours had he lain in his small den he'd finally dug beneath the shade of an oak tree, just to end up stressing about his dilemma? He was no closer to a solution now than he was when the problem had first come up. The truth of it was that, he liked both Selia and Elphaba, and eventually he'd have to choose one of them. Whomever he chose would have to face following the orders and direction of the one that would become his alpha female, and he didn't know if either of the females would allow their pride to be broken. If it were Devvyl, he'd refuse to be a member of the pack. Devvyl didn't want to lose his friendship with one just to be closer to the other. He wanted to run freely with both at his side, with no hardships or quarrel between either of them.
And if he didn't decide, it would have to come down to a fight between them for the rank of alpha female. Devvyl wanted that even less; he hated making the two friends become enemies for him.
Ah, but Devvyl wanted to just run away.
He sighed, and flopped over on his side in the small den he'd dug. It was in the side of a small hill of dirt, and an oak tree grew atop the mound. Roots curled around the entrance; some of those roots had been chewed off so Devvyl could make the entrance big enough to get in and out. He was still growing; his paws showed that. He still had to grow much more to fit his gigantic paws. He'd been able to catch larger game now; an occasional deer, several rabbits, a prarie dog perhaps. He was growing more in weight and build than in height and length, though he would eventually become much taller. He was becoming stronger; he would be no small wolf when he was finished growing, and was no small adolescent now.
((Eh, I'm rambling; I better stop here. x3 I don't think Elphie, Selia, or Feanaro know where his den is [or even that he's made one] so perhaps they can just... stumble onto it. Or maybe they smell him. Or whatever. xD)) Tweek Elphaba padded along the well worn deer path, her muzzle low to the ground, sifting through the familiar scents of a small herd of deer. Many of the threads of smells were old but two were fresh and one was very recent. She made a soft growling noise in the back of her throat as she latched onto the train of scent. She'd been incredibly restless the past few days, eaten alive by stress. Selia had been hurt again and she still hadn't seen Devvyl. She was frightened to think about the future, frightened to think at all, and she was becoming frustrated with that pup Yero who still needed an adult's attention. She was not as patient as her friend. Agitated, she felt the need to take it out on something else, to dig her teeth into something big. Though she wasn't particularly hungry she'd loped off moodily for a hunt. Suddenly something hit her--it broke her concentration. She dropped the deer's scent instantly, her insides feeling like someone had stirred her emotions up with a stick. It was Devvyl's scent. (Elphie sounds like..PMS!Wolf ninja ) Daimyn ((Omigod, you have no clue how perfectly you just described my feelings last year, when I was trying to reel in the guy who eventually became my prom date. xd ))
Devvyl's head rose when a strikingly familiar scent came to him; that of Elphaba. His stomach clenched; was he ready to see her just yet? But he smelt her scent approaching; he would have to be ready.
But for those last few minutes of silence, at least... he stretched out, his back against the back of his den, which wasn't quite big enough for two just yet, looking like a pitiful hound who had just been sent to the dog house.
And hoping he'd be able to relax his facial features by the time Elphie tracked him to his den, so she wouldn't see a pained expression on his face when she got there. >> Nikui [] Tweek! :3 you Gotta play Yero for meee. And, is it okay if Feanaro joins in here too? o.o Cause Selia is expecting him to be in the pack. -Somehow has Selia in two different places. - [] She rested near the edge of the river, her lower half drenched in the cool running water to help calm her burn abused flesh. Sighing against the warm sand...a shudder running through her form. Slowly, she willed herself to stand up, and limp towards the scent of her den...which she hoped wasn't taken over by another wolf and/or other creature of the woods they lived in. She hadn't seen any of her friends lately...Except Feanaro, of course. But she was trying not to get him into anymore trouble, since the last incident they were in was...quite a problem. She toppled over, her wounded leg brushing against a tree with a whimper. Getting herself back to her feet, she looked back towards her wound...sighing. Tweek (( xd Seduction is a painful process! And one that I haven't really mastered. *coughcough* )) She stepped out from the grove and towards the oak tree. Her luminous eyes snapped to Devvyl's form and she paused for a moment. Her throat felt dry. She felt like shaking her head to clear her mind, and took a breath, holding it. He's just like before! I'm just like before! She snapped to herself internally. He just happens to know..things.She stepped forward, though her tail was still a little drooped in hesitation. "Hey," Maybe she'd thought about trying to sound casual, but she'd given it up. Her voice sounded exhausted and not a little sheepish. Hunkering down onto her haunches she slid her front paws out until her chest touched the ground with a 'flumph'. She managed a weak smile. Weird feelings or not, she was happy to see her friend. Tweek (( x3 Sure thing, Nikui. Hopefully no one will mind leetle tag-a-long Yero.. n.n;; Aw c'mon! He can be the tolken precocious soap kid! *plots* Now Selia and Devvyl have to get married and Yero has to be the smart alec little boy who has territory problems with his new 'dad'..then Devvyl teaches him how to play baseball and they all live happily ever after! omg!!!11!! )) Yero perched on the rock beside Selia, watching her silently. He had seemingly appeared out of nowhere. It was little creepy, the quiet pup's habit of showing up with no warning. His bizaare red eyes didn't help his image either. "Are you feeling any better?" He whined to Selia. His eyebrows were arched in question, his tail wagging, the rest of his small body disconcertingly immobile. Daimyn ((Yeah, that's fine. I edited it to include Thal. xD And yeah, guys can be infuriating at times. >>))
Devvyl scented Selia somewhere not far off. He sighed. Why did they always arrive together? It was ironic, that. When what he really needed to do was to talk to one at a time, alone.
He crawled out of his den and saw Elphaba standing outside. Rising to a sitting position, he forced his ears forward and put on a happy expression.
He was truly happy to see her... only confused, and a bit anxious, of what might happen next.
Hey, he replied, in much the same manner that Elphaba had. Tweek She canted her ears towards him, her smile broadening a little as some of the tension eased. "..How've you been? Haven't seen you for a while." Her tail curled about her haunches. "I--" She stopped, not sure what she had been planning to say. Her eyes widened a little in surprise as her train of thought vanished. Nevermind that, she had better things to say. "Selia's been hurt.." Her ears folded back as she lay her muzzle on her paws. She could smell her friend on the air now. She didn't know how Selia's company would affect the situation, but she was happy she was coming towards them. Truthfully she was a little worried about her friend. Daimyn Devvyl did not want to seem like he cared more for Selia than he did for Elphaba, but Elphie's comment made his ears swivel backwards in concern for his friend. What happened? he asked. Tweek "Apparently she and Faenaro had a run in with the bad tribe of two-legs." The brown wolf said with an absentminded mix between a growl and a whimper; a high pitched gravelly sound of discontent. It was bad news for all the wolves. Elphie had always though of the land across the land as safe new territory, with plentiful game and the occasional peaceful human. But now the paler ones were moving upstream.. Daimyn Devvyl let out a growl, something that was really an angry, incoherent mumble. He'd never personally met any two-legs, but he'd heard enough about them from other wolves and from his mother that he had no intention of ever meeting one. ((Possible plotness! o.o)) Is she all right? He supposed he'd find out; as Selia's scent was drawing closer, but he wanted to know, and he wanted to know now.
Then he wondered if Elphaba had been there as well. And what about you? Are you all right? Tweek "She was hit in the leg with one of their sharp stones. I think she got it out." Elphie batted briefly at her muzzle with a paw, as a human might rub their temple. "I'm worried." She admitted, focusing her gaze on the forest. "I think she'll be alright but..it scares me." Daimyn Devvyl could barely smell Selia anymore, so he assumed she had turned away. Perhaps she'd heard or smelled Devvyl and Elphie here already and had decided not to interrupt them? He hoped she wasn't making assumptions, but as much as he wanted to see his other friend again, he was glad that he and Elphaba would have the chance to talk alone.
I'm glad you're okay, Elphie, he told her, and he rose and took a step closer to her. But not too close... he was still not sure who he would end up choosing, and he didn't want to lead anyone onto a false assumption. His friends would only end up getting hurt worse that way.
Elphaba... I want you to know that I really like you too. He wan't done by any means, but he paused in his speech to see if she would reply. Tweek Under her thick coat Elphaba flushed. Her pulse accelerated unsteadily and she folded her ears back flat. It gave her sharp features a sobered look, meek and docile, a little out of place on her. She locked her eyes on his, saying after a moment. "I--never really wanted you to be in this position." She furrowed her brow hesitantly. "I just..wanted you to know." Daimyn Well, it's better I know than go on the rest of my life being a dimwit, Devvyl thought darkly to himself. But outwardly he simply nodded. I know. And you probably know by now, but... I like Selia as well. It's going to take some time for me to figure out what to do... unless either of you have any suggestions. He said that last part a bit dryly, but almost jokingly... and he hoped that Elphaba suggest that he choose Selia, because that would just make him feel worse.
I don't want to have to lose a good friend, Devvyl went on, a bit quieter than before. Tweek Elphie shook her head lightly, as she felt a pang in her chest. Her expression was sad and happy at the same time and surprisingly she laughed. " I want you to pick me," She whispered hopelessly. Turning away for a moment to regather herself she closed her eyes, breathing deeply. A feeling of heavy guilt was setting in, but she'd already admitted it. She looked back to him. "But Devvyl, if you choose her you won't lose me as a friend. And she won't either." Elphaba would stay with these two, regardless of rank, regardless of bonds, and regardless of pride. Daimyn I want the both of you to be happy, Devvyl told her softly. I don't want to hurt either of you.
He came closer, and dared to give her a soft lick on the muzzle. Tweek Elphie let out her breath shakily, bumping her muzzle softly against his jawbone to lick him on the cheek. "I know," She whuffed sympathetically, and wagged her tail gently in gratitude. "Look, I should go..You and Selia should have some time together too." She gave him a smile, and slid half into a mock playbow. "It was good to see you," She said, in a parting sort of way. It was a fitting statement. Padding out of his clearing she took her leave, willing herself not to look back. She felt a little better now, as if a weight had been lifted from her chest. Whatever was to happen, there was nothing more she could do. Nikui [] Whoo.. It's turned into more of a 'Who to kill to get the wolf of our life' Rofl. [] She remained silently by the shore, which she had just swam over a few days ago to get a hunt in...This was the same shore she had seen the two leggeds come by every afternoon to kill a stray animal that was stupid enough to come close. She sighed, glancing towards the sky. Back into debating on what to do about the Elphaba, Devvyl, and Feanaro problem. Stuck between them all, at this point, her still puppy-ish mind wanted to keep them all happy...to have them all accept one another, despite friendships, relationships, and hatred towards one another. No matter what, he wasn't going to allow one to be let go. She had come to this conclusion...Yero, of course, was her first priority. He was, somewhat of, an adoptive son to her. They didn't accept him, she left. Second was Feanaro. He said he didn't want to cause trouble, but he deserved a place in the pack with them. Without him, Elphaba and herself most likely wouldn't be here right now. If they didn't accept him, She left as well, with Yero, of course. Next in line was Devvyl and Elphaba. She wanted them both happy no matter what happened. And she knew that Elphaba and Devvyl both liked eachother. Actually, it was more than just a liking. She knew this. Tweek Yero waded into the water up to his chest. His tail continued to wag, skimming across the water's surface every now and then. He had attacked the last few days as Selia's 'protector', a job that he took with much gravity. It was doing him good, he held his head higher now, walked in a more assured sense, a spring in his step. Being with a hunting wolf had quickly cured his skinny appearance and he was filling out, his coat becoming glossy. He glanced over his shoulder at Selia, wondering where they were headed next. Her resemblance to his mother was uncanny, they shared fine facial features. Though Selia's markings were much different than the silver she-wolf's. Just the other day he'd caught himself accidentally referring to her as 'Mother' in his mind. The idea didn't bother him. Nikui She watched the pup, now, smiling towards him while he waded around in the water. She was watching over him...making sure he would be okay at all times...Always full, and never in danger. It was too early for the two leggeds to come to the opposite side of shore, so she wasn't too worried. Snickering at the pup's antics, though, she yipped towards him playfully. She didn't mind if he slipped up and called her mother or anything...she actually took it as a compliment. She had never thought she could take care of a pup, whether it was of her blood and flesh or not. This just made her feel better..knowing that, even if she didn't get with Devvyl...or even Feanaro, she still had Yero to love and care for. He needed her...someone actually needed her love and affection to keep them alive. Daimyn ((I want my internet back. -weeps-))
Devvyl sighed and watched Elphaba go. He was no closer to making a decision than he had been before, and now he selled Selia's scent coming back. He rolled onto his side, waiting for Selia to appear.
((I gotta go to class. <3)) Tweek Yero turned at Selia's yip and pranced over to her playfully, rearing up to plant his sopping paws on her flank as he chuffed a breath of air out his nostrils. From his heightened position he was able to scent the passing breeze. There was a foreign male's scent on the air. It made him shiver with unease. He had an odd feeling, a fleeting idea, that Selia and this male knew eachother quite well. He twitched his ears and willed himself to move a couple steps towards the scent. Selia would probably want to see him. Maybe she wouldn't mind if Yero stayed a few yards away in the brush. Older males frightened the pup. Thalion Selia had explained where to meet her and the others at the new site for their potential pack’s den. He had recovered enough to where the only clue-in to his injury was a healing scab on his shoulder. He was fortunate enough to receive the lighter of the two wolf’s wounds. He decided to rest himself up a bit before going to face the others. It wasn’t something he looked forward to doing at all. Two against one he wasn’t going to make it into this pack… but he had to put the notion of becoming alpha behind him if he were to do what was best for Kahlaria instead of what was best for himself. The pup needed to be in a pack where she’d grow up with other pups like herself. Selia had mentioned that she too had adopted a pup so Kahlaria would have someone to play with. The pup had complained about how boring Fëanáro was and how he needed to play “chaise the fishy” with her. He had in more recent days but he wasn’t very good at fishing nor did he have much of a taste for it. Kalaria had kept him well fed off of fish for the longest time and the taste had begun to get to him… not that he didn’t appreciate her efforts. He had, because of the pup, grown a bit softer. His expression was not as bland as it had before. He looked more relaxed, comforted in a way. He seemed to even swish his tail a little bit more behind him. To those who knew him before it was a pretty big improvement- but to those who knew nothing of him, he still looked like a bit of a p***k. He had been thinking things over and over in his mind…. Perhaps it wasn’t unheard of for there to be two alphas in a pack? He and the crimson male combined on one side would make the foundations of a powerful pack. With two males fighting side-by-side there was no chance for their pack to be taken over and the lives of the pups to be endangered. Then there would be two alpha females as well, then the two pups to follow in their paw prints. If more wolves joined with their pack they would become perhaps the greatest pack to have ever cried to the moon. The notion was a bit exciting and might just sit better with the rest of the wolves… it would be odd and rare but it wasn’t unheard of. That way- there’d be no fighting, no blood shed, and perhaps the tension between all of them would finally be laid to rest. He smiled down to Kahlaria, speaking softly as they approached where Selia watched her pup, “Today we might actually get to join a pack.” His tone was much softer and had more personality in it, “There will be another pup for you to play with. And think, we’ll both have a family again.” Tweek At the sight of Faenaro, Yero paced a couple steps in front of Selia and gave an important sounding wuff to the approaching wolf. It wasn't so much an attempt at a threat as Yero announcing himself. The masked male still worried him, but Faenaro was not acting as strange as he had last time. The dark colored pup gave a quiet overprotective rumble and moved backwards a step. He turned his muzzle to look at his caretaker, interested to see how she'd recieve the older wolf. Nikui Selia would remain in her spot near the young wolf, giving him an affectionate lick to his head before slowly lifting her own head to stare in the direction that she knew Feanaro was coming from. She had no reason to try and run away, or even approach him..knowing he wouldn't hurt her, or the pup. When Yero ran a few steps ahead of her, she slowly pressed herself up to sit upon her haunches, since her would needed to get used to the pressure of her muscles against it yet again. At his growling and whuffing, she couldn't help but give a soft snicker, before tossing her head in a soft howl towards Feanaro. Moving closer to Yero, she'd n** his ear playfully, trying to make him less tense. Daimyn Devvyl looked up. He smelled dried blood on the air, and it was clearly Feanaro's -- and Selia was with him, and another's scent he did not recognize. He barked once, an alert that he was here, and an invitation to come quickly.
((I'm being dragged in so many directions by so many RPGs. o.o)) Tweek Elphaba lapped at icy water from a nearby stream. She pulled up to lick the beads of moisture off her chops. The seasons were changing, it was starting to get cold. Elphie lifted a paw delicately to bother a large flatbacked turtle. The cold water had made it sluggish and it seemed impervious to her pawing. She gave it a halfhearted shove with her muzzle, but was of course hardly in the mood. She scented the air. Devvyl, of course..and Selia, good, so her friend had returned..and was that...Faenaro? She furrowed her brow, wondering what he was doing here, but didn't show such violent signs of dislike as she had in the past. She hadn't seen him since he was a pup. Who knew, maybe he'd changed. The young wolf heaved her shoulders in a sigh, retreating to the dry land of the high bank. Her ears perked up as she heard Devvyl's bark in the distance, but she hesitated to respond. It wasn't directed towards her. Thalion “It seems we’ve both taken to the pups.” He said with a hint of a smirk upon reaching a decent speaking distance from Selia. He walked to her until there was about a pup’s length between then, seating himself on his haunches to match her pose. He did look a bit different- his expression held a hint of happiness in it. Something that was strange upon the face of the masked male. He’d liked the company of his “little sister” recently. Sure she was sometimes hyper and always wanted to play at the crack of dawn, but he didn’t mind. He would play with her now and then, watch her fish, and let her swim. Of course he was always paranoid about her in the river. Not that he didn’t trust her, but it seemed he had become the official life guard of the wood. “Have you spoken to the others?” His tone grew a bit more serious, glancing towards the direction of the crimson male’s bark, “I don’t want to intrude when I’m not welcome.” Nikui [] Rah, it ate meh post.. ;-; [] At the whuffing towards her, she'd toss her head back in a returning howl...though short, it was still a reply. Her voice was much more developed, not as high pitched and squeaky as it used to be. Deeper, and much more organized in that of a wolf's howl. Lowering her head a bit, though, to be eye to eye with Feanaro, her friend which she had expected to come soon...to their 'packlands' as they had all spoken of before...She noted the smirk on his face, which was normally tense and hard to read. She couldn't help but smirk in response, before blinking at him when he came closer. Lifting a lithe, but large, paw to set against Yero's backside, she idly knocked him over playfully...Automatically going into 'protect the pup' mode. Despite the fact that her friend had a pup with him as well, her motherly instincts told her that males would kill other male's pups if needed...even if Yero wasn't hers, exactly, she'd taken a close bond to him, and wanted to keep him safe. Lowering her head to lick at Yero's side, she then regained her posture at Feanaro's question. "I already know you'll be accepted...but I had spoken with Devvyl before..and it's okay, not that we truly need permission...there's not set leader, yet." She gave a nod to her statement, even if they planned to make Devvyl their alpha, he wasn't just yet...they were just a group of lone wolves, at the moment. Tweek The pup gave a two syllable yip of surprise and indignation as he was turned over. Glancing up at Selia from the ground, his light pink tongue lolled and his tail thumped on the ground happily. Yero could tell by Faenaro's actions towards his 'mother' that the older wolf wasn't about to attack anyone. Oblivious to their important discussion, he batted idly at a nearby grasshopper. Thalion He turned his head to the side in thought, eyeing the little female pup he had brought with her. He wasn’t exactly thrilled to be there… surely the brown female was around, and he knew for a fact that the crimson male was there. His pride was still pretty blinding to him… he’d not settle for anything less than alpha in a pack. A stubborn wolf to the end was he- and he felt that with his knowledge of life and the ways of the wood he was best suited for the rank. He was built impressively enough from his weeks of solitary work, running along the river to beat the sticks he had tossed into the waters downstream, chasing the fastest deer and struggling to take them down and slay them with a quick bite to the throat. His work had paid off in both his body and mind. However much he had changed physically, he was still the pup he had been - dead serious and determined to do what he felt was best. He did have a good heart, however. It was hard to see through his seemingly arrogant nature and gruff behavior, but he knew the difference between right and wrong… that was the main reason for his mental struggles recently. The idea of sharing the rank of alpha seemed too hopeful and childish now. That wasn’t the way of the wolves and the crimson male would probably have none of it. There was only one option left- he’d have to challenge the older male and win. Even then, the brown female would have nothing of it and leave the pack with the crimson male. Selia wouldn’t be happy and she might leave with them- her pup with her. So it would just get them back to where they were now- with two wounded males and still no pack formed. It was a miserable thought… that and he had to do what was best for his little sister. Selia would hate him if he were to fight her friend. This whole pack idea was going further and further from his reach… and it wasn’t a comforting thought. “Nothing’s for certain yet…” he said gravely, shaking his head, “You know as well as I do that I will not be under anyone…” He also knew that she knew what that meant. He wouldn’t join the pack if he couldn’t be the alpha… and if he did - if anything it would be for his sister more than anything- he would be a miserable pack member with a vicious temper… he might even challenge the crimson male out of spite if that happened. “I just felt it fair on both sides to have an intelligent discussion before coming to any final decisions….” He turned to his little "Sister", smiling just a bit more. "Why don't you play with this little pup here? I bet he needs a friend and would love to know all about the king fishy." He gently pushed her forward with his nose towards the black pup, smiling softly to encourage her forward. Nikui She would give a soft smirk towards the male, and shrug a bit as well. "Well, we are a growing pack. You're our friend, whether or not you think it, and I know you're accepted with open arms." She replied, and would sigh heavily. She knew he wouldn't take anything lower than alpha..."I understand," she replied, and slowly rose to her feet...she needed to just...get away from a little while. "Feanaro...can you watch Yero for a little while? He needs to play with someone, and that little girl you have with you would be a good playmate...I just need to..think." She would slowly limp into the underbrush, being a bit more sluggish than normal, of course, due to her wound. After a short while of walking, and mindlessly wandering, she would soon find herself...falling over. Tripping over something. Why hadn't she seen it? A loud yelp escaped her, and she tumbled over, now laying upon her side...beside, guess who, Devvyl. Well, that's lovely. Stumbling a bit to get to her feet again, she gave a whimper at her wounded leg stressing its muscles to get up.. "Sorry, didn't see you.." She mumbled, and just decided to sit upon her haunches, instead, her leg beginning to throb. Daimyn Devvyl snapped out of his reverie in time to see Selia crashing through the foliage and brambles, to land flat on her face.. the second time she'd done that in his presence. Selia! Are you all right?
He rushed to her side, just as he had before. This time, she'd landed on a sore limb, it seemed, as she whined in pain. He licked her muzzle in sympathy, and wondered why she was apologizing. It hadn't seemed as if she'd tripped on purpose! Tweek Yero watched Selia until she disappeared into the brush, his tail wagging gently. He felt a little strange in the presence of Faenaro, but knew his caretaker had something important to do. Besides, he was not alone. He sat down quietly, reguarding the pup at Faenaro's feet. He was too shy to initiate a conversation in the presence of the older male, and was content just to watch. (( And thus, Yero exits for a while as well! ninja *sits back with popcorn* )) Nikui "Yeah," she whined, and would look down at her leg..Not bleeding, thank god. "I'm okay.." She mumbled, and would shudder a bit at the pain running up her spine. Smiling at the sympathetic lick to her muzzle, she'd look up at him. Of course she'd apologize..she always did. ((She never tripped on purpose. >> Of course not, her 'bond' always made her do it, cause Nikui is mean that way. xD;...)) ((Oh I know she didn't, Dev was just wondering why she was apologizing. xD)) How've you been? he asked her gently, noting her wounded leg. ((Sorry so short. I feel blah. x.x)) Nikui She shifted her form to get more comfortable, "All right.." She tried to cover up the quivering in her voice, despite the pain that seared into her hind leg. "What about you?" [] Short short :O [] Daimyn I'm all right, Devvyl told her, echoing Selia's own words but hardly caring. What else to say? There wasn't much of anything he could think of right now.
But he spoke again anyway. Where are Feanaro and the others I smelled with you? Not that he was itching to talk to them... he was uncomfortable enough being with Elphaba a moment ago, and now he was the same with Selia. He was irritated at himself for it, but there was not much he could do about it until he decided what to do about all this. Nikui She would look up to him curiously, blinking a few times before she gave a soft yelp of surprise when he answered her so quickly. She was a bit nervous, herself, around him. Blinking, yet again, her multicolored irises...she'd sniff and look back the way she came from. "Feanaro is watching the two pups," she responded, and glanced back to him. "We both have a small pup, since...well, Yero was neglected and cast out...I'm not sure about the little pup with him." She specified, not wanting him to think it was literally their pups. Thalion He simply laid his head down on his paws, neither taking much interest in the two pups or Selia having gone. He had heard her yelp but she was with the crimson male at te moment- he'd take well enough care of her and that was that. He was still finding that in recent days he had been getting more and more tired. The would was taking it out of him, but mostly because his little pup had brought him the food he needed so he hadn't any need to be active. Of course this annoied him and as soon as he was recovered fully, he'd see that he was the one hunting for the both of them. He wouldn't be back on his old habbits until a bit later- the deer would still outrun him when he thought the wound was healed well enough, but he was pretty sure it would act up now and then. It wasn't an ordinary wound, afterall, put on him by the fire and thunder magic of the two-legs. A bit of a sigh escaped him, the other pup was nervous with him there... well that wasn't something he didn't expect. Males were always nervous around eachother. -He- had been nervous around older males at that age... especially that white one. His thoughts were roused again by the soft voices of Selia and the crimson male... perhaps he should be included in the discussion.... it was about him afterall. With a sigh, he rose to his feet, turning to both the pups. "Listen... you two stay here and play. Don't go too far and if anything happens come right to the den." With that he turned and walked in the direction of the den. The crimson male hadn't seen him since he was a pup, so he probibly wasn't expecting him to look as he did. Faenero lifted his head up to boast his toned body and defined chest. Though he was wounded, he didn't let himself limp at all. If he were to make any kind of impression in this "pack", he wanted it to be a good one. He wasn't a weak creature by far and he was willing to prove that to anyone who so much as looked at him the wrong way... but now he had a little sister to think about and care for. It was to her benifit that they join the pack- and to her safety. If he wanted to be alpha, he'd have to earn it in some way or another. Slowly he stepped to the mouth of the den, looking quietly in and waiting for an invitation to come in... not only was it rude to enter without permission, but they very well not want him for that part of their conversation. Daimyn Devvyl cocked his head a bit as Selia explained about the pups. He hadn't really gotten the impression that the pups were actually theirs, but he had been a bit confused when she'd first mentioned them.
Before he'd had a chance to reply, Feanaro stepped into view. He'd grown since Devvyl had last seen him, but it wasn't that much of a surprise; it'd been a relatively long while since last they'd met. Hullo Feanaro, Devvyl greeted, a friendly tone to his voice. Though Devvyl could sense that neither of them really cared that much for each other, he was going to make sure that the brown wolf felt welcome. After all, he was going to be in their pack, wasn't he? Thalion He didn't look directally at them for the first few moments. A golden eye turned in their direction from benieth the black mask upon his face and simply watched them. For the most part, he was sizing the crimson male up- he was a large brute wasn't he? And getting larger. No doubt he was close to adult hood allready. Until he, too, had become an adult he wouldn't stand a fighting chance if he were to challange him. Best put those ideas from your mind, foolish pup. There's time for all that later. When at last he did turn his head to face them, his expression had changed back to the way it had been before. The slight joy in his eyes from his little sister had faded once again. He didn't say anything for a time either, simply starring where he was. Slowly he turned himself, minding the wound in his shoulder, to pace closer to the other two wolves. He kept his head held as it was and his tail low but not curled. He had a proud stride dispite the injury, and perhaps a vain look in his eye. "Greetings..." Daimyn Devvyl eyed the younger wolf silently as irritation began to grow in him. What was wrong with this teenaged wolf? What had Devvyl done to make Feanaro dislike him so much? Devvyl had put so much effort into giving the him a chance, multiple chances, and each and every time Devvyl felt like he was being kicked in the face by this impudent wolf.
And this time Devvyl was through giving him chances. Feanaro, he began, you are welcome in our prospective pack if ever you feel the need to join one. But I'd like to know what I've done to you to make you treat me as if I am either nonexistant or less that what you obviously think of yourself. Nikui Giving a glance up at the scent of the approaching Feanaro...She may have to go look after the pups...but, at this point, she was more worried about the two males in the same place at once. She would straighten her back a bit, but still looked quite pathetic with her wounded leg..slightly stretched out beside her. Much like a puppy sit--but that's okay. She flinched at the slight tenseness between them, and remained close to Devvyl, canting her head towards Feanaro curiously as he came closer to them. She could tell by her friend's tense form that Devvyl was beginning to grow impatient with Feanaro...which she wished to warn him of...but that'd have to be later. Saying nothing, making no movements...she merely kept herself planted quietly beside Devvyl. Thalion "You've done nothing...." He said simply with what was the equivilant of a snide grin and a shrug, "I treat everyone like they are nonexistant and less than what I obviously think of myself unless they have done something that I find respectful enough treat them otherwise." He obviously was being a bit of a smartass, but he didn't know how else to behave in front of anyone. He'd been only friendly with females and it was natrual to feel less at ease with males. He wasn't intimidated by this male at all- more irratated in the fact that he may very well have to join under his ranks for the benifit of another. Daimyn It wasn't the answer Devvyl had expected. Devvyl hadn't really known what to expect, but at the least, he'd wanted a serious answer. I don't know your intentions, whether you want to join our pack, or whether you want to go and create your own pack and be your own alpha. But remember that you need to give respect in order to recieve it. However my offer still stands; are you planning on joining us?
He lowered his rear end to the ground, his tail curling about his haunches as he awaited a response, either from Selia or from Feanaro himself. Thalion He smirked, still standing himself up and looking down to the male. He wanted him to know that he was headstrong... and wouldn't be submissive to anyone. It was almost a challange how he was looking to the other male in the eye, a cocky grin upon his black lips. "I have my reasons for my behavior..... I will not submit to anyone on four legs or on two... but I cannot be a loan wolf forever now that I am caring for a little sister. For her sake I will allow myself into this..." He whirled his paw around slightly, "start of a pack... but understand that I will not tolerate being told what to do... I know the ways of our kind, I was the alpha pup of my former pack- the son of a great leader female. I know what will have to be done to survive and with or without me I will do as I feel is needed." Daimyn I believe you're missing the point, Devvyl commented, rising to his feet again. You say you won't be led by anyone, and you can't be a lone wolf. Well, the only way I see, then, is for you to lead a pack. But I won't be led by such an arrogant snot.
Devvyl stared into Feanaro's eyes without blinking. And I doubt others will find your attitude very impressive, either. Thalion "Ah so you -are- assuming command as I assumed... and already I see you're making decisions for the whole without concent from them." He almost chuckled, bearing his teeth in a witty smirk, "Two of the wolves in this pack owe their lives to me...keep that in mind mister alpha. And you can probibly thank me for not having a lovely meomory of yourself with a belly full of sharprat spines." He wasn't asking for any favors. He could be in a pack and not have any respect for the alpha... he wasn't doing it for himself, "I am trying to save yet another life- make it easier for this one to live and to give her what she needs to grow up happily. I personally don't need a pack- or anyone..." Nikui Males...what could you do with them. Why couldn't they be as sweet as Yero? She shuddered at the tense atmosphere in the room...giving a soft, shivering sigh. "Shut up," she commanded, bitterly, towards the both of them. "You two bicker like pups," she huffed, head low, eyes shadowed as she canted her head away from them. Slowly, she stood, and began to make her way out of the den, limping as well. She didn't want to see anymore fighting...her heart was already clenched, it seemed, in pain and sadness just from seeing them fight with one another...one would kill the other if they went any further. This made her stomach churn, and she let out a quiet whimper. Tweek Elphaba slid from the trees, she'd watched Faenaro's snide remarks but chose not to comment on them. Dipping her chocolate colored muzzle to Devvyl and Selia her grass green eyes locked onto each of theirs, acknowledging the importance of this meeting for all the wolves. Quietly, she took a seat near outside the den, near where Selia was coming out of the den. Her fluffed tail curled about her in a bit of a flourish, and she gently nudged her friend, hoping she was feeling a bit better. "Devvyl didn't just decide to be Alpha, Faenaro," Elphaba explained to the younger wolf, her voice lacking the majority of her previous childish spite..for now. "He's been earning our respect since we were pups." Daimyn Devvyl had leaned over to give Selia a soft lick upon her muzzle, just as he had done earlier... and turned to see Elphaba approach from the bushes. His heart wrenched in guilt, but perhaps Elphaba hadn't seen.. And then she spoke. Devvyl wished he could thank Elphaba, but it would do no good in the position he was in right now.
He turned his back on Feanaro. You assume too much, Feanaro. Think what you will, and do what you will. He didn't look back. I care not. He started walking away, towards the trees beyond the clearing, but keeping an ear swiveled back to listen for any who might have a last word. Nikui "I said shut up!" She snapped back towards them, giving a wicked snarl through her gritted fangs, which were bared towards both of the males. Elphaba's nudge wasn't felt, and the comforting lick to her muzzle was thrown aside for the time being. She had never been one to show aggression towards any of her friends...but...it was just overwhelming her. She was beginning to break away from what she used to be, not so puppy-like. "Drop it. If we cant get along, there's no pack. If there's no pack, then we're all screwed." She said bitterly, and lowly. "I dont know about you two, Feanaro...Devvyl. But I have a pup to care for, he comes first. He will be safe." Thalion The smirk faded into a snarl... he hated it that they had used that excuse... of course he didn't decide... nothing had been decided. He was willing to fight to the death for it, that is- if he didn't have nother life to be watching. He let out a slow sigh, his angry expression slowly fading back into the sullen one. He wouldn't feel guilty for his behavior... he and the crimson male were bound to have a conflict sooner or later. He couldn't hurt his sister... and he couldn't hurt Selia. Slowly, he turned towards where his little sister played for the moment.... she would be safe there for now. An enraged snarl and bark fled his throat as he turned and bolted. All pain escaped his body as he ran, only anger had his body, driving him forward. His heart drove him away- he wouldn't fight... it would only cause more hate to him. The brown female wouldn't stay with him, Selia would hate him, and his sister would fear him for what he had done. Tweek Elphaba gave a soft whine, barely audible even to Selia. Her ears folded back meekly. She hated to see her friend like this, and she didn't know what to do. Forming a pack was proving to be a stressful thing. The aforementioned pup had as usual, shown up quite suddenly and without any explanation. He ducked under Selia's paw, wiggling under to brush his body against her chest mane. He sat, cradled between her strong legs, and snuggled his nose into her soft fur, wanting her to stop being angry. He didn't understand. Elphie felt a slight jealousy towards the pup at her friend's side, but quickly pushed it aside. She watched Faenaro turn and run, but no triumphant smirk appeared on her lips. She was too deep in thought. Daimyn Devvyl turned, his yellow eyes wide in a O_O. He took the few steps toward Selia and Elphaba, his ears half-laid back, not caring now what Feanaro thought of him... But Feanaro was gone, anyway.
Look, Selia... I'm sorry. I got carried away. I was merely trying to prove a point... but he trailed off, realizing that his exuses were just that. Excuses. Nikui She would freeze at the sight of Feanaro running off..she completely tensed up at the brush of air that followed his movements. Lips hid her large fangs once more, and she sighed heavily...knowing she had most likely startled them. Motherly instinct, ne? She looked down at Yero, and gave a weak smile, giving a quick lick to his head to show that she was okay now. "I understand..." She replied, and picked up the pup momentarily, lucky he was just small enough to do so, and sat herself beside Elphaba. Setting Yero back down in the cradle of her paws, she looked up to them both. "I just want everyone to be okay...give Feanaro a chance, he's had it hard like all of us. I know he just wants whats best for his pup and the pack." Tweek Yero settled into Selia, watching with a quiet respect for what was going on. Elphaba turned to each of her friends and smiled. "Hey," she said, tongue lolling a little in a more casual manner. "We three've stuck together this long. We'll figure it all out with Faenaro and the pups." She planted her large paws firmly on the ground, as if a strong hold strengthened her statement: "We don't have to let anything come between us," It was clear that she was addressing numerous things. Daimyn Devvyl nodded, to both of them. We'll work it out, he echoed softly.
I have to go, he told them, and he rose. I'll see you guys later. He turned once more and walked away, to think. For the time being, he wanted to be alone. Tweek Elphie gave a tiny half smile to Devvyl's receding form. She shook her head lightly and turned to her pack-sister. "I'm pretty hungry," she confessed. "I'm gonna see if I can find a rabbit or deer," She wagged her tail in a couple beats. "I'll see you later," Nikui She nodded to her friend, as well, and smiled lightly. She nodded, and would stand up, as well, moving slowly before yipping towards her pup. She, too, was hungry..and had a terrible craving for rabbit. She'd hunt a few down for her and her pup she had adopted..it seemed everything would be okay, now. She hoped for this, at least. [] Closing done~! []

With Tweek, "Elphaba"; and Nikui, "Selia". Tweek Elphaba padded along a worn deer path. Her long feathered tail was held lower than usual, and her eyes luminesced, but not with their regular sheen. The moon was nearly full. It was the time Devvyl had spoken about, the night she had dreaded. It was going to come down to it. After this, there could be no more kidding herself. All she could do was hope. She heaved a heavy sigh, her paws seeming unusually heavy as she made her way to familiar scents. Daimyn Devvyl wandered through the autumn night aimlessly. The nights were getting colder, it was cold enough now to just barely see his breath on the air. It wasn't normally this cold... but it was steadily getting there. In less than another moon, Devvyl guessed, snow would fly. He looked up. The bare sliver of moon glinted between whisps of cloud. Sighing, he lifted his head and howled, lifting his voice into the air. His song echoed eerily at its end, and Devvyl sat where he stood and waited for either Selia or Elphaba -- or both -- to come. Nikui She'd be laying near the hole in the ground that she called her den...having spent most of the day digging it out, as Devvyl had done his own. It was quite large, now...But, on the other hand, she was very tired. And, well, didn't seem to be in the happiest mood. Lifting her head at the scent of Devvyl, though, she gave a whuff of greeting, just loud enough for him to hear her, and have him come over. Maybe he had the answer that would stop the pain from stabbing at her emotions. Daimyn Devvyl heard an answering bark from Selia, and felt his spirits soar. He wouldn't have to face Elphaba right now. He'd have to do it, eventually... but perhaps, when they met again, he would have figured out how to tell the brown female what he needed to say. He gave an answering bark, something along the vague lines of "I'm coming!" He found her near a large hole, with her scent heavy about the place. It seemed she'd spent at least part of the day here, and that this was the makings of her new den. His tail fanned the air behind him as he voiced a greeting. Nikui She couldn't help but smile, and slowly rose to her haunches. Stiffly, I might add, but still, rose to her haunches. When he came into view, she gave a light wag of her tail...trying to keep her curiosity to a minimum, and not push him into the conversation they all seemed to dread. "Evening," she greeted with a soft smile, and shifted her front paws lightly against the soft grass. "How've you been? I haven't spoken to you in a while.." Daimyn ((..I hate the word "decision," especially in this case... I feel like it shouldn't be used. XD)) Devvyl worked hard to keep the prance out of his step -- he knew Selia would be dying to know his verdict ((Gods, that sounds even worse. ><)), or if he'd come to one. I'm well, considering. It has been a while, he affirmed, a hint to what he wanted to talk about. How should he approach it? He wanted to just come out and say it. Tell Selia how he loved her. But the words froze in his maw, and he simply stood there like an idiot, body frozen except for his tail, which still waved back and forth as if it was some kind of machine. The decision had been a hard one -- indeed, he'd stressed over it until he'd simply felt like running away. But running wouldn't solve his problems. And it would make him seem a coward, and a horrible alpha besides. If he wanted to be leader, he needed to act like one, and face his problems instead of running away. In the end... he'd chosen Selia. Tweek Elphaba had continued on the trail. She'd heard Devvyl's summoning howl, but at the last second she found she couldn't face her friends. The brown wolf with the strange green eyes had followed the path as it wound up a small rocky hill blanketed in evergreen trees. Now she stood perched on the flat summit, her ears laid back numbly, eyes watching the two familiar figures below. Elphaba had dreamed too far and lost sight of who she was. She could never compare with her beautiful friend. She'd known it all along, but had run away from the truth into the land of imagination. The pain of reality setting back in was the most crushing force she'd ever experienced. She was happy for Selia and Devvyl, but she couldn't stop her heart from feeling as if it was blooming blood. She watched her two friends reunite and in her aching throat, a sound rose. She wasn't able to contain it. Tilting back her head, she howled. Her voice wasn't even recognizable. Just a nameless call of the night. It was an eerie cry of melencholy that rose and fell in pitch, drifting out, and up to the stars. Elphaba turned tail and ran in a breathless fever. Her paws thundered on the earth, but nothing could drown out the cries in her mind. Nikui She would look up to Devvyl, seeing that he seemed a little more light spirited than usual. Maybe he had decided? A sinking feeling ran through her stomach, though, scenting Elphaba. Not good...She lowered her ears a bit, beginning to feel guilty. What if something happened? And the pack broke up? All because she wanted to be selfish to take Devvyl away, to keep him from being a stronger leader. Nevertheless, she smiled to him, glad he was doing okay. But, when that haunting howl rose over them like a mist, she shuddered...and closed her eyes. Somehow...she knew they would all be in pain at some point...but, the wounds would heal, right? Daimyn Devvyl flinched as Elphaba's mournful howl pierced the night air. So she'd seen them together, and come to conclusions. The correct ones. But she was gone now, and there was nothing Devvyl could do. Elphie would come around in time... at least, he hoped she would. He didn't want to lose one of his closest friends. He turned back to Selia, who stood before him, guilt visible upon her features. He probably looked the same way. But at the same time, that happiness still lurked. Selia... nothing's ever easy. But I've made my decision... I've chosen you.Nikui She stared at Devvyl, as if she had just seen a ghost. He had chosen her? Over Elphaba? She just kind of sat there for a few moments, staring towards him with a stupid look on her face. The only thing she could muster was a quiet 'really?' Before smiling and moving to nuzzle under his jaw affectionately. she still felt bad for Elphaba...but...she was sure they could move past the hurt, right? [] Short short. [] Daimyn Devvyl managed a slight chuckle. Really, he replied quietly, smiling, moving forward and returning her affections. In the back of his mind, however, lurked guilt, not banished but biding its time. He'd give Elphie some time to herself, Devvyl told himself, and then he'd go find her and talk to her. In a few days, when she's had time to calm down. Nikui She, too, had some guilt in the back of her mind...but...she would speak with Elphie later, and hopefully allow her close friend some time to think and calm down. She did feel bad...but, well, happy as well. Of course she'd feel happy, after all of this time, she finally got the answer she had been waiting for. They would be a strong pack, nothing would get in their way. Not even those large herds of deer! Just like they had dreamt about as pups.
