Nino stood on a platform in front of a scene full of food, games, rides and fun. The town was covered with beautiful decorations and thousands upon thousands of strings of different colored lights. She stood in front of a crowd of Learanians, smiling around at them excitedly. When they had quieted, she took the microphone from Nils and began to speak.
"My fellow Learanians, Elibians, Tellians, Magvellians, Tokkans, and whatever else we are." She grinned widely. "It's not every day a town turns three. But it is every day of June that OUR town turns three." She giggled lightly at her own comment. "Anyways, I'm proud to present an entire month full of fun, games, dancing, and all-out randomness! Happy anniversary!!" With that, she cut the ribbon, causing the crowd to roar with approval. She handed Nils the mic and ran to get out of the way of the mob streaming into the festival grounds.

Amelia leaned against a short stone wall that lined the winding cobblestone path, looking up to the platform where their leader spoke. She looked so young, it was almost unbelievable to think that she was the one who ran the place, but then again, almost everything about her was unassuming. Who knew such a giggly, cheerful girl could be a seriously powerful Sage?
She adjusted one of her gloves, eyes going down as her spear clattered to the ground. She had arrived here after the end of her duties for the day as part of the Watch right as the festivities arrived... good timing on her part, but it did mean arriving to a party armored up and still with her weapon. Amelia hadn't even bothered to take off her armor yet, though since it was her own, she wouldn't have to return to headquarters, at least...
Amelia joined in with the applause once Nino had finished speaking, waiting for them to finish before kneeling down and picking up her spear. She held it in both hands, hoping not to look imposing before following the flow of people into the festival grounds. "First things first... food," Amelia murmured, stomach growling angrily at her. Her own stupid fault for napping during her lunch break...

The young man's applause and cheers were enough to cause the raven to his left to cringe and back away slowly. But what was Aidan supposed to do, do that dainty little clap that they did when someone made par at a golf tournament?
"Heck no," he chuckled to himself as the crowd dispersed to the different areas in the fair, a spring in his step and his heart warmed now more than ever. "This is a big occasion and I'm gonna party it up~! No holding back!" Suddenly, memories of a certain other party and a night at a certain bar trickled back into his mind and stopped him in his tracks--a look of terror formed upon his previously joyful face.
....Yeah, he'd hold back a little bit. Just a tad.
"But other than trying to avoid a catastrophe like THAT, I'm sure this'll be a great anniversary! Did I spell that right?" Aidan rubbed his chin, too lazy to whip out his dictionary, even while in line for the goldfish catching booth. "I'm sure nothing will happen that will cause mass hysteria, epic RP fights, and me getting wounded and/or put into a dress will happen, even though this is a big event and fun things always happen on events!"
Immediately after he shut his mouth Aidan had an odd feeling in the pit of his stomach, which he attributed to the smell of the festival food hanging about the air, and not dramatic irony at all.

Leon was beside Amelia, thrilled to see a new recruit of the Watch. Long story short, he followed Steely Dan and the others there from the Guard. He was comfortable with the little group he had going on... he didn't want to leave them. Being familiar with someone made it far easier to be loyal... as they knew one's expectations and ambitions.
But his mind drifted from his recent relocation to the new recruit not too far from him. A General in fighting ranks... very powerful. "So... yer enjoyin' yerself? I'm glad." He was honestly glad to have a holiday... a real holiday. Any 'celebrations' like the one at spring were bound to get him injured again, and being laid up wasn't fun. He couldn't train to be Captain while laying in a hospital bed, and most of all... no time with Anri! D:<
Sue had just rode in on Andre, putting up her materials for bow-making that day. She wanted to listen to her leader's speech, and also celebrate the great three years that Eyris had come to live and enjoy. She was proud to be a member of the city. She was grateful for all the friends she made... for they were like her family. One of her family WAS returning here for this, surely. "Father, you're coming back this time, right? So much has happened... I know you'll return before anything else happens to us... won't you?"

FD stood within the mob of a crowd of Learanians surrounding the platform Nino was giving her speech from, trying to swim through in order to get closer. After their leader's words, Nils was handed the mic, and FD wanted to be as close as he possibly could to Nils whilst working his way through the crowd. As the applause went on for Nino, he clapped as he went, muttering excuses and apologies to those he slipped past until he was eventually closer to the platform than the vast majority of people present. He humored himself at the thought of transforming to simply Flametongue those in his way... all too conscious of how many problems the flames brought about in public places and get-togethers. Besides, he was almost by Nils' side.

A party! Food and games and decorations and bright lights strung all over that, well, actually they hurt her eyes some, but hey, this was a party! It was time to celebrate! Besides, she had Aidan right there next to her, so it would be easy to keep up with everyone else.
Wait, where did he go?
"This crowd is too big!" Blossom cried out in frustration right as the crowd applauded and cheered. The little girl pushed her way through, easily able to part through the larger festival-goers. It helped when you had a large sword (bandage-wrapped, yes, but still) strapped onto your back. It was just such a habit to not do it. Besides, it was easier to get through people when she had it, being so tiny.
Finally, there was Aidan, saying something that Blossom couldn't make out. "Aidan!" she called out, waving one hand energetically. She didn't wait much longer, just ran right up to him and took one of his hands in her smaller one. "Why are you still standing here? There's too much to do to be staring at nothing! C'mon!" With that, she marched right on, scarf whipping around her, whether or not Aidan wanted to be dragged along with her.

Amelia's attention turned from a stand in the distance that seemed to be selling skewered beef (meat of some kind for sure) and to the more experienced Watch member next to her. Battle experience differences were unknown at this point, and frankly, Amelia didn't quite care to know. She was strong, she was sure he was, that was what mattered.
"Of course," Amelia answered, turning back to the stand as her feet brought her right up to it. She rested her lance against the side and looked curiously at the skewers before making a general motion to the man selling the product. "Do you want one, Leon?" she asked. She removed two small coins from her pocket, then turned to the man keeping the stand in order. He held up the two skewers expectantly, cooked meat and grilled onions steaming and making Amelia suffocate the urge to let her mouth water. Goddess, that smelled good. "Or do you have to make a lady eat two of these?"

Victoria too had pushed through the crowd to get a good earful of Nino and the crew's speeches. She wasn't here as long as this city was established, but she felt connected here through her acquaintances. Father Renault, Arashe, Tristai... all of them meant so much to her, and gave her a reason not to wander anymore. That truly was special. And what a fine day it was, now that she finally finished healing the wounded soldiers from the springtime conflict. "Ah, what a beautiful day." she smiled. "Clear, sunny... not to hot..."

Leon was taken by surprise of not only Amelia's offer, but her attitude in doing so. So generous, and yet kind of sly and devilish. He was sort of the same way, around those familiar to him. " 'Course I'll be takin' one of 'em." he smirked. "Them skewers are just too temptin' for me to pass up, ya know." He took one of them, biting off it, and savoring. For now, he'd left his steed Anri in the care of his good friend Leena, for he intended to rest the horse just a little more after all the action they'd been involved in. "So... yer like me... aren't ya? Leaders like Nino made me wanna join the Guard... then the watch in the first place. Well, at least that's parta the reason."

Oujay was standing in the back of the crowd with his eyes closed. He sighed and opened them back up as the wind blew past his face, pushing he hair towards the side. His eyes averted towards the platform, where a girl stood. "So she's in charge of this huh," he thought as the girl began her speech to the crowd. She looked young to be in charge, in his mind, but what did he know. After All, it was a young boy who had led the Lycian Army to its Victory back in his world.
The Crowd cheered as she cut the ribbons of the new year. Oujay clapped along with the crowd as they cheered. "So, this place is now three years old," he whispered to himself as people rushed in to have fun. Oujay was still standing in his spot as most of the crowd was now inside. He looked back up in the sky for a few seconds and looked back forward at festival. He lifted up his left foot and took a step forward. He walked casually towards the festival, unlike all the people who rushed in. Hopefully, no one got ran over by the rushing mob towards the festival, that would've probably hurt a lot too.
Oujay has only been here for a while, but he was getting used to it now, he wasn't as shy as before to the people at FEFGA too. Oujay shook his head a bit as he walked onto t festival grounds. "Alright, today, is time to have some fun for once," he thought to himself as he looked around to see what he could do for fun.

((D'AWWW. <3))
His heart jumped a bit when he felt Blossom's fingers lace through his. Hadn't she been right behind him...? Oh, well, no matter, they were together now and that was what counted.
"Sorry about that," he said, rubbing the back of his neck with his free hand and smiling sheepishly. It was times like these that he felt as if they hadn't in fact been together for a few years. A little humbling, to say the least, was what it felt like to have his cheeks the same bright pink as the outrageously clashing outfit of the clown that had just passed.
"So, where do you want to go---!!"
Lucky for the both of them, he didn't really mind being dragged around like a rag-doll; he actually thought it was cute. <3

Amelia grinned and sat down on the stone wall nearby, letting her spear rest next to her leg as she dug into her food. As voracious as her appetite was, she at least took care to keep her face clean. Even a warrior woman could have table manners (without the actual table). "Why do you think I bought 'em?" she questioned after swallowing down one of the onions.
She looked back over to the brown-haired man as he spoke back up. "Well... I've just always been stubborn in wanting to keep people safe. The people I care about. You know?" Amelia looked at her hands, then put one gently against her collarbone. She only held it there for a second; then it was at her leg, smoothing down the white fabric of her skirt. "And being part of the Watch... I do my part for the city, and I have all the more reason to protect hi-- them."
Blossom laughed as Aidan's words cut off. He was always jumpish, wasn't he? She turned her head to look back at him, narrowly avoiding a collision with a hawk woman that gave her a rather skeptical look. "Carnival games!" She chirped, looking back ahead. "One of those games where you throw rings at bottles. I like those."
She shifted just a little, wrapping her arms around his arm instead of holding onto his hand. Much better, and less room for them to block people's paths this way. "What about you?" she asked, keeping her eyes ahead. She had nearly ran into someone the last time she walked forward while looking back, no need to repeat that.

"Oh! I like that game, too! What else do I like? Ummm..." He tilted his head to one side and furrowed his brow. "I also like the game where somebody guesses your age or weight." He moved his head to the opposite side, resting his head on Blossom's and nuzzling. "Probably shouldn't be proud of this, but nobody can ever guess mine right..."
A large black something caught his sight before passing out of his field of vision; he lifted his head to take a second glance and saw a big stuffed cat hanging in a booth. The stand's operator, a heavy-set man with laugh-lines and dark, thinning black hair, chuckled deeply.
"Care to give my game a go? Win something for the lady friend?" he asked.
"Hmmm..." He looked at the cat, then Blossom, then at the cat again. "What kind of game is it?"

"We all got our reasons, I s'pose." Leon said in his thick accent he'd developed after seven years of living with Dan and the others of his respective Division. As always, they were another separate group in the Watch. They'd always been together... nothing would change that, right? While those thoughts ran through, he was busy writing something down in a small report file he always carried with him.
Activity: Normal, peaceful, nothing to cause alarm.
He'd find himself writing these reports of the populace down, records of recruits, performance tracking, and other such activities involving record keeping. Leon was probably Eyris's most meticulous of bookkeepers.
He went silent a long while writing... and found it awkward, but spoke again. "Well, I'm glad I got someone determined as me as a 'nother recruit. We need soldiers with their heart in it. Otherwise, they ain't takin' it seriously. Y'know, I was glad I helped Lord Rhys find his ring for ya. People like 'im are why this town's worth fightin' for. I'm sure he's gonna make ya a happy wife."
Sue recognized Amelia and Leon... the latter from her ordeals with Eyris's bandits, and the former from well... a bunch of past events. Two familiar faces, finally. She greeted them with a subtle wave before just muttering the only word a quiet nomad knew how to say as a salutation. "Hello..."
"If it ain't Lord Rhys's trusty nomad trooper!" Leon grinned. "That vendor's got skewers. Go get one an' sit down!"

For once, Ganon wasn't playing his instrument. Instead, he was enjoying his fifteenth steak-on-a-stick as he basked, shirtless, on top of the sloped roof over his neat little stage he'd set up to perform. The sun gleamed off his muscled, scaly chest as he lifted the speared meat to his jaws and pulled off a chunk by holding it with his razor-sharp teeth, holding it in his mouth for a moment before he swallowed the rather large chunk of meat whole.
"Mmmh. 'S a good bit of steak for coming on a stick!" he called down to the vendor, who had decided that maybe sticking around Ganon until he was full was a good thing. Another couple of coppers slid off the roof as Ganon pulled the meat off the stick. "Toss me up another, man!" he called. "Going for the big Two-Oh!"
He caught the thrown stick with his tail and grinned, leaning around to cast his eye around. He could see Blossom with her husband-- he still couldn't get over that, she was married!-- and he waved to them, then looked around for Hatmon, tail wagging in the air as he lifted his sixteenth steak-on-a-stick to his maw.
Snakes don't eat often. But when they eat, they eat a lot.
