Yup, I got a Japanese penpal! He says his name is Doshin-san, and is 27 and a teacher (don't know of what yet). I posted an ad at a penpal place, which is very safe and I'm not stupid enough to be sending out photos to anyone who asks or my address and such. Anyway, we are just starting to e-mail each other and I am helping him with his coversational English/grammar/punchuation/few spelling mistakes. But, when it finally dawned on me that he was a teacher I was, like, "Whoa, I'm e-mailing a teacher... Creepy." whee Does anyone else have a penpal? Ps. here is the PenPal place. 3nodding

That's pretty cool, and a very good idea to improve your language skills. I had a Japanese penpal in like 3rd grade, that didn't last very long, obviously. Did you use an online site, if so may I ask which one?

best thing to do is go back on the page and send messages to more people. i guess the more you write the more they are interested. you know i found that if you send funny pictures they are bound to stay put. whee

I keep thinking about a penpal, but something always puts me off. Usually it's the fear of saying something that makes no sense or randomly insults them "Your mother was a goldfish eating monkey! Pass the jam." xd Sometimes it's because my life is terribly unexciting and I wouldn't know what to talk about.

He always had exams and stuff. Too smart for me.

If you change your profile once in a while more people will see it on the top of the list and you might get more penpals. it is cool.
