The year is 3014 and the human race just now figured out how to make an operating portal that will send us trillions of light years through space to other planets there a team would build another portal and there would be a way for the earth to become less crowded. The first time we activated the portal it linked up with another portal! the entire scientist crew that was on the job sent out a team to explore the other side of the link immediately without preparation. Well they never came back, but what did was what all people said was a creature of legend a dragon as it was put. At first the scientists were ok, but in a few seconds the Draconic Empire's army Flooded the base using absolutely no weapons but those that were natural. Soon enough entire cities were wiped out as the army took out the human race as fast as it could. Through a few years we learned why this "extermination" as it was called was happening. Dragons had not actually been legend they had existed on earth along time ago, but at that time Humans had been frightened and using magic moved the entire species to another planet although they thought they had sent them to hell at the time. So now that there are few cities remaining we have a few last hopes as a species, there are some dragons that joined our side mostly because they fell it isn't right to take it out on us since we no longer can use magic. Then there is the rebels that have become known as the Dragon Tamers. The rebels have the technology and know how to use it. They have one city that they stay in that is in a central location to the other four. From this city they protect from attacks and go out on missions to push back the powerful Draconic Empire. They even have a way to send back prisoners for good but this is a highly unstable procedure and it has caused some catastrophes in the past. The cities that survive and don't house the rebels are guarded by rail guns that have effect on the Dragons thick hides. These are the only protection if the rebels can't make it and don't last long enough and are what caused the other cities to perish. Then there are the few unfortunate people who are not killed, and are now forced to work in camps till they die. The camps are being used to remove resources the Dragon Tamers can use and Slaves are kept alive till they die or are killed. Now are you ready to join the Dragon Tamers and save the human race? or are you going to lead a Draconic army against the earth and crush it? Maybe you are one of the unfortunate people that were captured and forced to work till you die? Will you fight for us, against us, or just try to live as long as you can?
Rules: 1.No god moding (pretty basic) 2.Your not perfect if you refuse to get hurt or passout from pain or have gallons of blood you will be killed. 3.You may join at anytime just post your profile and find a way to tie yourself into the story kinda explaining what your doing there don't just appear. 4. Romance is ok but no Cybering it is disgusting! 5. Don't post a hole page of gore. 6. Dragons are hard to kill even with the tech the rebels have you can not kill them just by shooting at point blank! 7. For anyone who is a dragon yes you are strong, but you do have weaknesses (i will explain some stuff later.) 8. Have fun dont clutter the fourm with OOC which you will use (( or [[ and if you have a problem solve it with PMs Skeletons 9. Not a rule, but rolleyes So the Mods know I read the rules. 10. I don't mind multiple characters. As long as you can handle it go ahead and have as many as you want. Though I might limit you if you get too crazy with it.
1. Gaianame: 2. Charecter name: 3. Race: (Dragon (species of dragon is needed) or Human) 3-2 Age: (Dragons it is very croucial) 4. Alliance: (Dragons or Humans. Finnaly the Slaves in the work camps.) 5. Bio: (no "not much known" or stuff like that. yes you must think!) 6. Apperance sad note: the stuff below this does not mean a pic has to match to any of it.) 7. Weapons: (all guns have special armour piercing rounds. yes dragons can use guns.) 8. Other:
Dragon species:
Fire dragon:
this species controls the power of fire and is relatively common as soldiers in the front lines. They have a natural aversion to being dunked in water and have tempers most of the time. Usually red in color (who woulda guessed) As they age their body becomes hot enough to catch on fire and is eventually molten magma ages: 30 - 70: normal body low control over fire. 71 - 124: body has flames flickering over it and better control of fire. 125 - death: body is molten magma and they have perfect control over fire based elements.
Earth dragon:
Less common as soldiers the species has control over rock stone earth whatever you want to call it. The species is usually some variant of brown and is more adept at hiding and then killing anyone who comes by. The species is more resistant to most attacks, but don't like to fight. Ages: 20 - 90: Normal body bare minimal control of earth. 91 - 159: body grows stone outcrops and they have good control over earth. 160 - death: The body becomes living crystal and control over earth is almost perfect however the camouflage ability is lost.
Nature dragon:
Never become soldiers mostly due to belief of being pacifists and instead create allies and use them to take out enemies while staying back and healing their allies with herbs. They don't get along well with Fire dragons and don't fight well when they have to. Ages: 30 - 90: normal body with a green coloration basic control of plants. 91 - 170: body grows plants that can be used for various purposes. 171 - death: Body becomes covered in vines and plants of various types but do not become moving plants. these can also be used in medicines and such.
Dark dragon:
The most powerful species around, but they can only come out at night or else they dehydrate and die due to their thin skin. During night time they have the ability to go to a second plane of existence that exists only at night or in dark places and then exit anywhere conditions are met. They have a tendency to be brutal killers but only kill on the shadow plane leaving the victim there to rot. They also get along better with water dragons the higher the sun is in the sky. Ages: 40 - 90: normal body mostly covered in black except for talons which are gold and eyes which are blue. 91 - 130: Body releases wisps of black smoke, and the talons become black. 131 - death: body is covered in a black smoke and ability to access shadow plane in bare minimal shade is gained.
Metal dragon:
These dragons rarely die and usually are not soldiers, but instead are technicians. They are not social and are usually self obsessed rarely giving help to anyone. They build weapons for whoever they work for as long as they are funded to get supplies and do other projects. Ages: 20 - 100: have biological parts as well as mechanical making them cybernetic. They have the ability to connect with most technology. 101 - 199 : at this point they have removed most of their biological parts and do not tire out, but do need to recharge. they can also control any tech without a direct connection to it. 200 - death?: Though they have made them selves robotic they still have a mind that is in charge of new ideas, but their computer brains controls the body. Can connect into and integrate themselves to any technology.
Water dragon:
They have no real purpose in the armies except as scouts and under water missions. They are quite the nuts as most other species see them as they tend to make games out of anything and usually are found relaxing doing something else. Ages: 10 - 95: Normal body with blue coloration and ability to breath underwater as well as good swimming ability. 96 - 150: Gained ability to to change small portions of body to water allowing them to escape lethal attacks. 151 - death: ability to change entire body to water and move freely as such as well as controlling water and forming anything that is needed.
(I will say this you may be a Dragon but i can take you out whenever i want. so do not be a tank and kill an intire army with one attack thats just boring.)
(also now that you know these species later on you may meet some more that aren't mentioned and at that time i will post their stats as well but not till I introduce them GOT IT!)

New Species Data Base
This not only marks the start, but will also serve as a spot where all species not previously mentioned will be posted as well as in a post during their appearance
NEW SPECIES
Light dragon:
Only recently have the light dragons joined in the war. The reason is that they live on one of the many moons orbiting the Draconic home world. Recently a portal connection between the moons and home world has been established. This was to get more support in the war so less population on the main planet would need to be sent over. The light dragons are just the first of potentially hundreds of new species. The species is typically white in color, and wings become covered in feathers at older age.
Ages: 10-90: Have the ability to make light and focus it into high intensity beams from a small distance away from the dragon. They have the ability to move at light speed for short distances also. Some individuals have slightly feathered wings. 91-175: Ability to focus light is greatly increased allowing for the light to be focused anywhere withing a range around the dragon. Wings have grown feathers except for a very rare few. 176- death: The dragon constantly radiates light from its body. Light can easily be focused any where from any distance. The distance able to move at light speed is greatly increased.
New Species
Chitin dragon:
The Chitin dragons get their name from the fact they have an exoskeleton and are more insect-like than reptilian. Blind from hatching to adulthood they usually rely on vibrations and heat to see the world around them. However they rely only on vibrations for around 55 years of their lives. Chitin dragons live in areas with earth that they can dig in and create caverns to live in. Despite their insect-like nature they do not rely on a system of queens, workers, and soldiers more commonly called a hive or colony. The thick shell gives ample armor and is resistant to most methods of attack. The only weakness is at the joints where the shell has to bend. The wings that develop are transparent and typically have a count of four. Most other features appear the same as all other dragon species. However the jaw is split into four sections each with a row of teeth.
Ages: 17-53: All chitin dragons can spew two chemicals from their mouth that combust when mixed. However at this age most don’t have mature wings and can’t fly yet. Though all rely on sensing vibrations in the ground and wouldn’t fly anyway. 54-129: The chemicals that the chitin dragon can spew from its mouth now include an acid strong enough to burn into dragon hide. Wings have matured at this point and more sensory organs have developed. One of which is heat sensitive membrane that is found in pits around the upper jaws. 130- death: Another chemical has been created in the chitin dragon’s body that can have two effects. One: Can be expelled as a sweet smelling liquid that is pleasant. Two: Can be expelled as a foul smelling liquid that can blind those that get it in their eyes. The heat sensitive membrane has become very sensitive making it easier to depict objects.
New Species
Gold dragon:
The gold dragons are only hatched out one at a time. The egg they hatch from can be laid by any species, and is found as great honor to be the parents of the hatchling. The young dragon is the sign of the current Emperor's death approaching soon. Gold dragons are put in the position of emperor due to their ability to tap into all the species powers. This ability makes them the strongest, but there is only one living for any long period of time. Typically a hatchling and the current emperor live an average of seven years simultaneously before the older one dies. Within this time the Emperor teaches his replacement what is possible. This isn't hard since Gold dragons develop to full mental capabilities within three or four years.
Ages: Hatching- Death: Younger dragons have full capability to use any other species's power, they only truly develop control around age thirty. However they are highly intelligent at young ages and are usually aware of their lack of control. This makes them most vulnerable for the first thirty years in which they are locked in the palace. Once mature they take over all the normal duties of the Emperor.
New Species
Psychic dragon:
Close relative of the Dark dragons, but they live on another of the home world's many moons. They are very strict in teaching the art of using the mind. Naturally they can use some form of sixth sense that varies from one individual to another. With training they usually can use Telekinesis early on in life and use it for most everything. Most end up with muscular atrophy in their wing muscles from simply levitating rather than flying. Some devote their entire life to training their mind till they die. Lore has it they simply change into some form of energy being. There is no proof of this, and not even the Psychic dragons themselves believe it.
Ages: 5-100: Easily can use telekinesis and have some semblance of mind reading capability. Usually some other ability is present depending on the individuals personality. 101-193: Affecting space can be achieved at this point, allowing the dragon to seamlessly warp to someplace it can perfectly picture in its mind. Though this is a rarer ability as most simply develop stronger abilities they previously had. 194-Death: A marking know as the third eye appears on the dragons head. This marking allows the dragon to thoughtlessly use its abilities. Whereas concentration was previously needed. Some go crazy at this point from mental strain if the third eye hasn't developed, usually they end up killing themselves with their powers.
Spirit dragon:
Originate from the same moon as the psychic dragons. The spirit dragons have the unstoppable ability to see what was once alive. This can be useful, but only later in life. Their ghostly appearance and tendency to rest in grave yards makes them appear to be apparitions. They are quite alive however and just enjoy the company of the lost souls. Young dragons tend to make friends with these lost souls as they are able to interact with them. Some might find it creepy, but the species often encourages this kind of interaction as it helps build power. The ability to change ethereal is exercised in this play and helps the young build immunity to the effects of the ethereal plane.
Ages: 3-70: The dragon has the ability to shift onto the ethereal plane and interact with things on it. This renders the dragon untouchable and inaudible, but not out of harms way. There are things that exist on the ethereal plane that can cause damage to living flesh, most dragons build immunity to these things quite fast though. 71-179: The ability to turn ethereal is still present, but requires more energy to use. The dragon compensates by taking energy from the atmosphere, which causes cold spots where it disappears at. The dragon can now manipulate objects on the material plane just as a normal ability they seemingly just gain. 180-Death?: Around this time the dragons sometimes don't know if they passed away or not. They can freely manipulate objects on the material plane for some unknown reason. They can even manifest their image and talk while ethereal. So sometimes they don't even know if they are dead or not.
Electric dragon:
The amount of power this species can create is seemingly impossible. Young dragons tend to be able to continually output enough power to run half the United states continent. (Most densely populated areas combined.) These are only the young dragons. Older dragons can run several of the Draconic cities on the home world, but simply choose not to. (Think of the home world being able to contain several Jupiters. Cities can be massive! Small country size massive!) Where or why the species developed this power is unclear. However, they can be the most fearsome fighters with bodies supercharged conduits of pure electricity. These are a species few can mess with, but they are horribly weak once shorted out. One reason they stay at distance from water dragons.
Ages: 29-88: The dragon can control which direction the electricity it produces goes. Many have metal studs on there body to make dazzling light shows with arching electricity. Most can produce several thousand volts continuously. 89-129: Electrical capacity increases to tens of millions of volts. 130-Death: Capacity simply gets larger once more as the dragons body can emit hundreds of millions of volts if not a billion. The weakness never goes away though which is the only fatal flaw in the species.
Nuclear dragon:
The moon they live on is filled with radioactive ore, which simply meant they adapted like the other species. These dragons appear to be metal dragons at first glance. This is due to the reactor they have built into their bodies. The reactor keeps their bodies stable at all times as they can't tolerate changes in radiation levels. Anything lower than what they are used to can be fatal. The reactor's emitted radiation can be used by the dragons as they can manipulate it freely. This allows them to freely mutate their bodies into different forms, which is easily done with practice. Most dragons can harness their radiation for use on other creatures as well. Either flat out killing them or mutating them into something. The species often makes creatures into useful biological weapons to use as they see fit.
Ages: Hatching-100: The radiation levels needed to survive are often low and can be handled by just the ore around the young dragons. Eventually the dragon gets a basic reactor built into its body as it reaches an older age and needs more radiation. All radiation is contained withing the body until the dragon releases it. Most typically mutate holes into the bottoms of their front paws that can open to emit radiation. The only radiation they emit is alpha particles, which only work point blank. 101-180: The reactor is typically upgraded as more radiation is needed to live. The ability to mutate their form is bettered allowing mutations to appear in a few minutes rather than hours. Beta particles can be emitted, which can work from a short distance through very thin covering as well. 181-Death: The reactor is now being pushed to its limits to keep the dragon alive. Current technology for the species doesn't give them better than this at the current time. Mutations occur in seconds making the dragon an unpredictable foe in battle. Gamma waves can be emitted and penetrate most armor that isn't radiation shielded.
Sky dragon:
They originate from the same moon as the electric dragons. Their home is a collection of large asteroids orbiting around one large magnetic core. This gives the cluster enough mass to stay in orbit around the home world and have gravity, but also makes it mostly gas. Sky dragons became adapted to flying as they had to maneuver between the myriad of asteroids to catch their next meal. While the electric dragons can magnetize to the asteroids, since the asteroids have high metal content, Sky dragons are swift maneuverable fliers. Though not much else.
Ages: Hatching-65: The dragon can keep high speed flight up for short periods of time. This speed almost reaches the sound barrier at times. 66-86: The dragon has adapted to flying at high speeds and can fly for much longer periods of time at these speeds. Most commonly create sonic booms when flying as they periodically break the sound barrier. They have also become more efficient at using oxygen and can breath in thinner atmosphere easily. 87-Death: The dragons have only now become almost perfectly aerodynamic and mastered flying. Slow flying is going just below the sound barrier by now, and fast flying is insane speeds getting close to speed of light. The dragon has become sufficient with using oxygen it can breath in almost no atmosphere and keep at a speed just above the sound barrier.
