Name: Jadelyn. However, she prefers Jade, and never introduces herself with her full name

Date of Birth: December 13th 2004

Gender: Female

Ranking: Pup

Likes: Lazing by the river, colours of the sunset, chasing butterflies and hearing stories

Dislikes: Nightfall, skunks and thunder

Colour: Jade is a Bottle Green wolf, described as having a similarity to the collection of army colours. As taught by her grand-father, her colouration comes from a strong connection with nature, one that has lived through her family history. She has mustard coloured paws, which are seperated from the green colouration with a brown marking. Jade has Olive eyes, a unique colour, unlike any other wolf she has encountered.

Personality: Jade is generally a bubbly pup, with a keen eye for adventure and quite often mischief. Having a constant supply of energy can get her into some trouble, yet she is always ready to begin a new day, regardless of what happened the day before.

Very inquisitive Jade is always wanting to learn, and experience all there is to offer. She is fascinated by colour and loves to observe and try to understand how things work. This addiction to knowledge has brought Jade a small amount of wisdom, one she intends on building upon.

When introduced to another wolf, she is quite friendly and sweet, and very accepting. She sits with poise and can be quite proper when necessary. She has quite a balanced personality, maintaining her femininity yet frolicking and playing at the same time.

She loves to relax by the river, as she thinks it is necessary to have alone time at least once a day, where one can un-wind and just ponder. Jade hates to be scared, and although she can turn quite cold on bad experiences with others, she is always ready to forgive and forget.

Different to the usual afternoon routine Jade headed towards her family's cave early, wanting to recline and converse with her grand-father. Her father - out hunting and mother - laying in the warm sun, meant everything to Jade. Family was the most important factor in her life, and her relationship with her parents and grand-father was incredibly tight.

As Jade passed her napping mother she smiled and dashed into the humble cave grinning at her grand-father. The two began chatting and Jade listened intently to the magnificent stories her grand-father would share. Jade's mother wandered into the cave and kissed Jade lightly on the head, before heading off for a stroll in the setting sun - through her favourite floral field. Jade would usually meet up with her mother in the afternoon for a combined walk, however she was to fixated on the exciting stories her grand-father was telling.

As the sun set Jade's father came home with several rabbits lifelessly dangling by their ears in his mouth. He sat them down on a round stone where everyone could take and enjoy their dinner. It was quite late and Jade's mother still had not returned from her afternoon walk. Jade could see that her father was becoming quite nervous and she sat down beside him, snuggling into his side. No longer being able to sit and wait, Jade's father left the cave in search of his beloved wife. Refusing any assistance he ran into the distance until Jade could no longer see his masculine figure.

Falling asleep in her grand-father's warm embrace, Jade dreamt of her mother entering the cave, smiling and smelling of sweet flowers. Suddenly she began backing away from their home until she disappeared. Jade woke up frantically dashing to the front of the cave to see her father and grand-father in a deep discussion. Jade's father had decided to head further then the area he searched during the night. He kissed Jade on the head and began rushing off through the trees. Jade ran beside him, however her little legs could not keep up with his speedy pace. Tears rolling down her cheeks she cried out 'I love you daddy!'

This was the last time Jade was to see her father...

Weeks passed and Jade had begun to come to terms with her parents disappearance. Living with her grand-father, Jade had become very wise and very intelligent because of his teachings. Life was lacking the passionate love she had once known, however there was still a strong sense of comfort and love shared by Jade and her grand-father.

Deep in Jade's heart she believed someday she would be re-united with her parents... Someday...

Here is a listing a Jade's friends, and those wolves you just love to hate...

Gizmo;
Born around the same time, Gizmo is a warm-hearted and compassionate pup always ready to help Jade. Gizmo introduced Jade into Haku and Lera's pack, and Jade is extremely thankful for that gesture. The first day they met became quite an adventure, one Jade holds close to her heart. Gizmo is Jade's closest friend, and treasures every moment they spend together.

Tobias;
Highly respected in Jade's eyes, Tobias played a major role in the survival of her grand-father. Tobias stayed by Jade's side, comforting and offering help wherever necessary. Jade holds their memories close to her heart, forever grateful for this wolf's efforts and guidance. Each time she meets with Tobias Jade feels extremely safe and secure, attaching herself with him, to what feels like a big-brother.

Dagda;
Jade knows little about this wolf, however her short time thus far has been positive. Dagda appears to be quite intelligent and witty, and Jade enjoys passing comments, finding it like a verbal fencing match. Not wanting to reveal to much about herself, Jade desires to know more about Dagda in order that she can open up and speak freely.

Haku;
Haku appears a father-like figure for Jade. Her little time spent with Haku still impacts Jade greatly where she feels completely safe and secure. Jade can see a strong resemblance between Haku and her father, and for that, admires him greatly.

Lera;
Jade's first encounter with Lera was not a positive one. A new mother, Lera became very protective over her pups and when meeting Jade became very aggitated. Jade is very cautious around Lera, making sure she uses her manners and smiles politely, even though deep down, Jade is quite frightened of her.

Kamali;
Jade has spent little time with Kamali however she has a very positive view of this brave wolf. Kamali led Jade and Gizmo to safety during a strong blizzard, and if it had not been for this courageous wolf's efforts, who knows what could have happened.

None...

.......January 17th..

Russtiie
An energetic pup bounds into a large field surrounded by elevated ageing Pine trees. She scans the area in hope for a temporary excitement before night falls. Amidst the floral frosting covering the grass, a single butterfly begins to thrust upwards, flashing its delicate and colourful wings. Jade immediatley lowers then pushes hard off the ground leaping into the air. The playful pup begins frolicking around chasing the striking butterfly. Transfixed on the insect Jade loses track of time and location. The realisation of the unfamilar environment and darkness flooding the flirtatiously fuchsia sky, begins to quake her vivacious confidence. An strident echo of a Great Horned Owl nesting on an above branch, frightens the young Jade. As she begins to frantically search for a familiar path a piercing growel came one hundred feet away from behind a cluster of shrubs. Her eyes widening and feet pulling back, she howles for assistance...

Anupama
So he was alone in the world.. It wasn't all to bad really, it was just that there was no company. Which was exactly the way he liked it. For normally it was he having to take care of others who were to damn weak to take care of themselves so he just simply left them to die and suffer on their own. The only wolves he had ever cared about had been his two brothers, satanic and demon. The three of them together were an awesome power and steady Dana worshipers. They believed that all should believe in the lovely goddess that resided in those Toru stones and he believed that all who didn't believe should be forced to believe and if that didn't work, sacrifice their loved ones and if that still didn't work.. Kill them. Plain and simple. He missed his brothers now, though it truly wasn't a missing feeling he felt, just a slight emptiness, but that could be solved by Dana's love. The fact that he for one was all alone in this world now didn't really comfort him all to much, but that was how Dana wished it and that was how it had to be. She could have easily taken his life in the great battle, but she hadn't. She must have a plan for him, a great plan. He just had to find someone that loved her just as much as him. Dana was the only reason that he was alive. He had to live to serve her, just as he would die to serve her. She was the life source that kept the planet alive and therefore she was the one that everyone should bow down before her and her awesome glory.

Harks flicked ever so lightly as he stood there in the grass feeling the wind blow through is pelt. What season was this? Amara? Hmm. He cocked her crania slightly and his steel cold gaze peered across the lands. It must be. He then, in one solid, fluid like motion, flopped down to the grass and kept an eye out for anything or anyone that could either: A. Be a potential Sacrifice. B. Be a potential Chew Toy. C. Be a potential Enemy. Or D. All of the above. The day had been slightly interesting for him. As of right now the last wolf he had ever seen alive he had killed in honor to the all mighty Dana. It had just been some weak run down wolf whom thought he could have gotten the better of cript but had failed measurably and had therefore openly donated himself to being Dana's next blood offering. Suddenly there was a shifting inside his stomach and he felt slight pressure and suddenly he felt something rising up from her stomach to his throat and he opened his mouth and burped. Eww.. Was that the after taste of the rabbit he ate this morning. Yuck. It was a tasty rabbit and it had been really healthy and fat. Did he mention fat.

Well. Dana was indeed the most important thing in his life right now and was pretty much the only thing in his life right now. Hmm. Had he given her a sacrafice for the day? He didn't think so.. Hmm. What could he sacrafice to his almighty goddess today? It had to be something worth her deeds. Not just anything could be sacraficed to his lordess, it had to be something young, well not always, but something worth killing. Something that wasn't scum between his toes. Those creatures weren't even worth killing, they needed to rot in their own stinky filthiness. Hmm. Now where to find a suitable host for the sacrafice. He stood up and he turned his head to and fro as he searched for a suitable host or hostess to join him for a little celebration. Boy this was going to be fun. As his gaze darted around he skimmed past jade's head passing her by without much of a snort and then realized what he was seeing. A pup? He darted his gaze back to that spot just as the tiny head dissapeared. Aha. Come here little puppy. I won't hurt you.. just kill you. He loathed them entirely. Oh goodie. This was going to be just fine and dandy, it was going to be fun.

He decided while she was running from the owl he would hide on her and scare her. hahha! Dumb pup. He watched as she came running towards the brushes and what have you and he let out a growl and listened to her let out a cry for help. He then broke out in laughter and emerged from the shrubs. What are you doing? He kept his left brow raised and he stared down at her quizically.

Russtiie
Jade let out a deep sigh of relief. She examined the mischievous wolf who had terrorized her, and looking not amused and a little foolish approached him. What did you do that for!! Still a little frantic she frowned at the dominant wolf, while attempting to collect her now frazzled appearance. Once she stood with poise and to her own thinking 'perfection', she nervously spoke again; Are you crazy!! You scared me half to death!! It's dark, I'm lost and your cruel!! Who picks on an innocent fearful FEMALE pup?!

Anupama
He stared at her a moment as he watched her sigh with relief. He watched as she approached him and he raised his brow slightly as he stared down at her. He almost laughed at her words but he remained silent. He then cleared his throat and answered her. For a bit of humor. He kept an emotionless look about him and he watched her as she began to speak once more. He chuckled and then went silent very quickly and he lowered his face so that it was level with hers. Perhaps I am crazy. Cruel would not be the word to put, and also, maybe you should learn to have some courage and you wouldn't be scared then now would you? He stayed silent then and he flicked his harks and he lifted his head up again to its full height and he looked about. Okay, so he wasn't the nicest most generous wolf around, but he hated pups and had decided to give her a scare, which had worked. Hahah! What is your name? He wondered if she would answer him, if not then it wouldn't mean much to him since he really didn't want to hang around her too long. He shifted his weight slightly and kept on a lookout, his harks flicking ever so lightly as he awaited a reply from the pup.

Russtiie
For a bit of humour!? Well I'm glad I entertained you! Jade sarcastically smirked at the arrogant wolf. And the name is Jade! She swifty turned around and began struting away from the menacing pest. The Owl's call again echoed through the tree's haunting Jade for the second time. Embaressed she turned back and began lightly brushing the ground with her front left paw, as though to charm the opposing wolf. Its dark, cold and... I'm now absolutley terrified... Would you mind er, walking me home...? She lowered her head watering her emerald green eyes and waited with anticipation...

Anupama
He chuckled at her sarcasm and he flicked his tassel slightly as she smirked and then said her name. Jade. Well, the name wasn't that bad, and he had to admit, he liked her attitude. He flicked his harks slightly and he watched as she began to walk away only to come back moments later. He chuckled at her and he walked over to her. He could do that much for her right? She was kind of growing on him, but he still hated pups non the less so he wasn't going to get to cozy with this whole thing. I can do that much for you. He watched as her eyes watered and he kept himself from snorting. Geez. What is this? A circus? You lead the way.. He didn't know where it was she lived, so he might as well have her guide him since he was new to the area and hadn't the slightest Idea as to were it was he should go. What an evening.

Russtiie
Jade bounced reptitively with joy, until she remembered what he had done. She half heartedly frowned, while supressing a smile. Jade began leading the way, continuously looking back to check on her aquaintance. She was growing quite fond and attached to this cheeky wolf. As she attempted to direct their way back to her home, she began to fret because of the un-familiar environment. She didn't remember passing m=any of the natural features she was now observing. Suddenly her faced lightened up as she saw a large Pine tree with a cruve in the middle. Jade had taken a mental note of this tree earlier because of it's bend. She looked back at the wolf, So what's your name?

Anupama
He watched her as she got all excited and then calmed down again. Boy was she weird. He shook his head slighlty and he watched as she took the lead. He kept close to her since it seemed taht she spooked easily and he flicked his harks slightly and watched as she looked about the area. He wondered if she knew where it was she was going and he flicked his tassel slighlty and he caught her voice once again. Cript That was all to be said by him at the moment. He had nothing to speak about so therefore there was nothing to say. But then again he was curious about something. Where do you live?

Russtiie
Jade felt strangely comforted by this new wolf. She turned and smiled at him. Cript. I like that! It sounds sort of mysterious. Like there's lots to understand. And believe me, I'm great at analysing! With the harsh realisation of the embaressment of what she had just spoken, she quickly hurried in her walk, hoping to pass the moment by. Still feeling awkward and wanting to dissolve her last sentences, she thought deeply about something to say... OH! You wanted to know where I live? I don't think it should be too far from here now. I live alone. You will see..

Anupama
Brow raised slighlty and he listened to her random outburst. He shook his head slightly and indeed she was right. There is more to me than anyone will truly know.. that is true little one.. Trap snapped shut and his gaze shifted about the area and he jerked his head to the left and a small popping noise was heard. He sighed in relief since that spot had been buging him all day and it was now relieved of the pain. He was enjoying the peace and quite when suddenly she started talking again. okay. He sighed slightly and looked over to her as she began. She lives alone? A pup living alone? What is wrong with that picture? Were are your parents. If you don't mind me asking.... He was slightly curious. Most pups had parents... hmm..

Russtiie
My parents? Jade paused for a moment and felt slightly awkward lowering her head. ..Not too long ago... My mother went for a walk in her favourite floral field, in the late afternoon...she never came back. It broke my father's heart, and he went in search for her leaving me in my grand-father's care. Within a few days, I had lost contact with both my parents.. Jade ceased walking and gazed into the stars. They are watching me though... She felt a warm comfort and after a few moments continued walking. Alone includes my grand-father. He has been caring for me since my parents disappearance.. After Jade had finished talking she grinned at the sight of her home. We're here! She turned to thank the wolf for walking her home, however he was gone. She examined the area, and yet could see nothing. Not too far away though she could hear the fading sound of a wolf running. Jade smiled at the brief encounter she had experienced, she let out a slight sigh and turned towards the rocks. Pops, I'm home!

.......January 20th..

Kimaria
Having grown bored of staying in one place, and growing weary of all the excitement, Gizmo had decided to take a walk, he wanted to explore this new terrain and perhaps find a furry to eat. He was ravenous and hoped that he hadn't forgotten how to hunt, it had been a long time since he and Carmen had gone hunting for the long eared furries.

Snuffling beneath the trees he would catch a strange scent in his nostrils, and pause in step, canting his head curiously. What could it be?

Raising his muzzle he gave a small yip, hoping that whatever was nearby was friendly.

Russtiie
A relaxed Jade lay by the tranquil river, surrounded by the calls of nature's beauty. Jade adored her quiet time, where she could escape and supress the tender emotions of her parents disappearance. A cool breeze ruffled her bottle green fur where she collapsed into a complete state of meditation.

Jade's siesta was disturbed by a ruffling through the nearby trees. The snapping of a twig forced open her eyes, where she lifted her head to scan the immediate area. Seeing nothing, yet senseing something, she persisted onto her feet and slowly trudged into the forest searching for the cause of the noise.

Kimaria
Gizmo lowered his head as he continued onwards, eyes scanning the area for any signs of danger. All the scents here were so new and exciting, but he couldn't help but feel a little afraid.

He moved as quietly as possible for such a clumsy pup, ears drawn forward and nose sniffing at the ground. Yes there was definately something nearby, but what, it smelt similar.

He continued onwards, loping along the forest path, glancing this way and that, wondering whether he should try and call out again.

Russtiie
Trepidation and exhiliration built up within Jade as the approaching sound of leaves crushing, hit like a speeding locamotive. Jade suddenly came to a hault as a shadow pathed the forest's track. Raising her head cautiously, she saw the beginning of a pale cross brown wolf, who's full figure emerged as she abrublty lifted her head - no longer afraid. A warm rush passed through her body, half relief that it was no predator, half ecstatic to be meeting a wolf, appearing her age.

After a moment of examination she took three steps forward, stood correctly and smiled politely. And I thought you were some kind of danger! She chuckled and then wanting to maintain her politeness, swallowed her laughter. I'm Jade, and it's a pleasure to meet you.

Kimaria
Gizmo froze mid-step, another wolf! Another wolf who appeared to be roughly the same age as himself! Relief flooded through him as he wagged his tail and canted his head towards her.

I not danger. He confirmed, taking another few steps towards the green fem. I Gizmo. He added after she introduced herself. She seemed like the cheerful, polite type and already Gizmo felt he could trust her.

He wrinkled his nose in thought and glanced about him before once again returning his golden eyes onto the female. Jade live here?

Russtiie
Gizmo. I like that name! It sounds as if it were made up of many parts. Like some sort of mechanical human contraption! Like this one I once saw... Realising she was rambling she ended her sentence, and the feeling of blood rushed to her cheeks. Jade let out a small giggle, of pure humiliation, and quickly began a fresh sentence. I live not too far from here. How about you?

Kimaria
This female sure did use long words, and Gizmo barely caught any of them. Something about parts...and lots of them. He gave a wolfish grin, tongue lolling from his mouth as he turned his head back and pointed his nose in the direction he had come from.

Pack new, moved from West. He returned his gaze to the female, Human? he murmured, You talk about two-legs? He had heard that their territory was around here somewhere, and he was a little nervous about living around them. Two-legs near here? He felt the fur along his neck bristle slightly.

Russtiie
Jade finally caught onto Gizmo's speech impediment, realising she must slow down. She subtlety smiled - finding Gizmo adorable. When and on what basis was this decision to re-locate made? Her speech became incredibly prolonged. Feeling as it could be percieved as rudeness, she shortened her words and spoke with articulation, rather than with extended syllables. Why did your pack move?

Noticing his frightened response and expression about the human's she stood close, attempting to comfort her new found friend. We are safe here. Jade smiled fondly at Gizmo and gazed into his lemon yellow eyes. Jade believed you could read someone through their eyes, and from Gizmo she could see he was genuine, compassionate and knew he was someone she would want to get close with.

Can you take me to your home?

Kimaria
Grateful that she seemed to be speaking in a way that he could understand he wagged his tail a little faster, I not know really. He still found it strange that they had left, he had liked their old home, but he was sure he would get used to this new area in time, Pack big, need big space. He tilted his head thoughtfully, he supposed that this was one of the main reasons for their leaving, as well as their need to put as much distance between themselves and other wolves who disliked them.

He was even more glad to hear that they would be safe here, he didn't really want to meet any two-legs especially without his pack around to protect him.

At her final question he would pause for a long time, considering what might happen if he walked back into the territory with this strange female. Would they accept her with the new puppies around? He hoped so, no wolf should be forced into solitude if they didn't want to be alone.

I try...Haku need see you.

Russtiie
Noticing the concerntration and thought Gizmo translated into his answer's, she grinned again at the friendly pup. Jade became incredibly excited when she thought of meeting the head of Gizmo's pack. Suddenly a thousand thoughts ran through her mind. What would she say? How would she present herself? Would he like her? Would she be accepted? Slowing her mind down and taking a few deep breaths she calmed down and decided she would take one step at a time. She smiled at Gizmo and pointed with her nose beyond him, Lead on.

Jade had only taken a couple steps when a tingle ran down her spine, caused from a distant call of the human. Jade began to take deep breath's and closed her eyes momentarily. Not wanting to alarm Gizmo, she dry swallowed and tried to subtlety hurry their pace up.

As the duo began walking, speeding up gradually, Jade became extremely anxious hearing footsteps of several humans. The danger of their situation began to frighten the in-experienced pup. Her eyes glazed with water, barely seeing the path in front of them, she turned to Gizmo attempting to comfort him with a fraudulent smile. Gizmo. Let's play a game. I will race you back to your pack's home! Jade enforced the "game" with a hasty sprint, not knowing the direction of Gizmo's pack, but attempting to escape the risky encounter with the humans.

Kimaria
Gizmo's ears perked up as a strange sound reached them, this would probably have caused him to panic if it had not been for Jade's previous words. She had said they were safe and he would trust her.

It was only when she turned to him with a watery smile that he felt a shudder of fear run cold in his veins. Something was bothering Jade and he guessed it was something to do with the sounds.

Then before he could say anything more she had dashed off, the fur along his neck bristled as he fought to keep up with her. He had not had a good run in a long time and it felt...amazing.

The adrenaline raced through him and his paws lost their clumsiness as he burst through the trees, keeping the female in sight just ahead of him. The wind through hs fur felt just right and if he had felt brave enough he would have thrown back his head and howled. As it was he knew that doing such a thing might alert danger and instead he continued silently.

It was only when the feeling began to fade that he had realised they were running the wrong way. With a small yip he bounded forwards with a speed he didn't know he had and ran alongside the female, turning his head towards her.

Wrong...way. He panted, then turning his head forwards once more he raised his nose to the wind and caught a very desirable scent. Long-ears! He whooped, and increased his speed, You want hunt?

Russtiie
Jade, flushed with natural ecstacy from the run, noded willingly to Gizmo's request. Following his direction, the human threat passed through her mind, and the excitement of the hunt flowed in.

Jade's eyes widened as they rushed past a burrow certifying lunch was close by. Jade slowed down and began prowling with Gizmo. Jade had little experience hunting, and what she had was quite un-successful. Jade mimicked Gizmo's every action, observing to the upmost detail. She was the student and he was her teacher.

Kimaria
Gizmo began to slow his pace, knowing that every sound could send the long-ears into a mad dash for their burrows. Canting his ears forward he would come to a complete halt, sniffing delicately at the air and slowing his breathing until it was back to normal.

Lowering his head he would turn back to the green fem and whisper, long-ears there. He then directed her by pointing his pink nose at the bushes, On other side. He continued before craning his back and glancing at the rabbit hole.

That probably long-ear home. He crouched lower, Long-ears run to hole, Jade break them before do this.

He would lower his voice even more, I go round, chase long-ear to you. Jade break neck and we have food.

It was a situation similar to the one he and Haku hunted in, he just hoped it would work. Before he continued on with the plan he waited to see if the female would have anything to say, for she might have another idea.

Russtiie
Jade too caught her breath, and copied Gizmo's every move. She was terrified of embaressing herself on their first hunting trip. She reluctantly agreed to Gizmo's plan, hoping she would be able to perform with success.

Just as she stepped back and prepared to begin, she muttered to Gizmo. Swap! I will chase, you kill. Please! Feeling extremely nervous she began to shift her weight back and forth between her feet.

Kimaria
Gizmo's eyes widened slightly, he had not expected this change, but he supposed it would make no difference who did what. With a curt nod he moved to stand beside the den, snuffling at the entrance before turning his eyes back to the green pup. Okay, I wait here.

He wagged his tail cheerfully and leapt up onto the slope above the hole, and flattened himself against the ground so that he became almost completely hidden.

Russtiie
Jade slowly crept along the ground, almost un-noticeable. She wanted to impress Gizmo, so her whole focus was on the single rabbit, completley committed to this plan, she moved into position.

Jade pounced off the ground, speeding at their prey with all her power. She darted in every direction the rabbit attempted to escape, forcing him backwards, where he scampered for his burrow. Jade's heart was pounding, the excitement rushed through her body, as the dual between the hunter and prey closed in!

Kimaria
It was in this part of the hunt that Gizmo's heart would race with excitement and impatience, he wanted to snarl and bark, and it took all his control to remain silent, eyes watching Jade's chase intently. Then it happened, the rabbit turned swiftly and began to head towards it's burrow and Gizmo prepared for the pounce.

This was the part he always found difficult, jumping too soon so that the prey might escape and so he made himself wait until the last minute. He let himself drop, his body landing on the terrified rabbit just as it was about to dissapear into it's burrow.

Clamping his jaws upon one of it's thrashing hind legs he twisted his head and broke it clean in half. It's scream of agony echoed about the forest and fearfully Gizmo batted it roughly aside with one paw and tore out it's throat, looking up to wait for Jade to return.

.......January 21st.. - Continued from the 20th...

Russtiie
Drowning in excitement Jade began stalking another rabbit, not too far in the distance. Crawling along, she observed the rabbit and it's every move, pin-pointing escape routes, and searching for a burrow. The rabbit tweaked it's ears as Jade crushed a a large crisp leaf. She shut her eyes tight and froze, hoping to camoflauge with the surrounding shrubs. Un-noticed, Jade prepared for the attack. The kill was not for food, but rather as method of impressing Gizmo. Loosing concerntration momentarily as she thought about where her companion was, the rabbit began to proceed closer to it's burrow.

Ceasing the moment Jade sped after the grey hare. Directly behind - Jade leapt ontop of the innocent creature, growling as she pressed it hard into the ground. Jade pulled back her paw preparing for the final step of the kill. As she glared into her victim's eyes her paw lowered, and she stepped off the terrified rabbit. It's heart pounding, the rabbit fled into his burrow, his shelter of safety.

A strange emotion came across Jade causing her eyes to water. She began to compare herself to the human, and knowing the fear she had of them, she could only imagine the rabbit's feeling towards her. Jade had eaten rabbit before and watched other's hunt for them, however she felt almost in-capable of killing one herself. She decided to take a moment to think and clear her head. She forced out the shouts in the distance and sat in solitude.

Kimaria
Gizmo gave a loud sigh, and moving over to the half eaten carcass lifted it up into his jaws and dissapeared into the bushes, he didn't like all this arguing and competitive behaviour so he decided to find out where Jade had gotten to instead.

Russtiie
A shadow cast over Jade as her new found friend had found her, curled up like a new born pup. She shook her head as to diminish the image of herself as 'the hunter'. Sitting up straight she smiled at Gizmo and then look past him, squinting to see. What's going on?

Kimaria
Gizmo wagged his tail but there was a hint of sadness that trembled in his golden eyes. He dropped the half eaten carcass onto the ground and sat back on his haunches

At her question his ears flattened a little and he gave a small whimper, pawing at the snow sadly. Adults...they fight all time. He muttered, wishing that Haku and Fea could see eye to eye. It was also sad to think that Lexi no longer looked up to her adopted father.

He trembled a little and shook his muzzle, When I grow up, I not ever fight. He said firmly, he was going to be sure never to hurt another wolf, even if it meant his own death.

Russtiie
Jade sympathesized with Gizmo about the adults fighting, comparing it to a similar feeling - loosing parents. Fighting parents or adults for a pup is a dreadful feeling, much more severe when they are lost.

Although Jade was trying her hardest to comfort Gizmo, her gaze didn't break with the bloody carcass lying in the snow. Trying not to gag, she decided to force the thought out of her mind and focus on something joyous - Gizmo. She broke her discusted transe, and began walking beside Gizmo, feeling especially lucky to have met such a friendly wolf.

Are we still going to the pack?

Kimaria
Gizmo looked up, obviously lost in thought until she had spoken. His golden eyes caught hers and he pressed his nose to her forehead, wagging his tail. Jade not hungry? He questioned, turning his head to gaze at what was left of the long-ears.

He moved to stand beside her, pointing his nose in the direction of the pack. We go when you ready. He nodded, answering her question simply.

Then he lowered himself into a stretch and shook his fur vigorously, looking up at Jade and giving her a wolfish grin.

Russtiie
Yes I'm ready! Jade was extremely excited to be introduced to the pack, and the anticipation began to build up inside her. Her pace increased quite dramatically, not caused by fear, but of enthusiasm. Jade loved to meet new wolves and knowing there would be many in the pack, her excitement grew to a new level.

When Gizmo smiled at her, she experienced a second unfamiliar emotion rush through her. She ignored the bizarre feeling and smiled back at the 'cute' wolf. Jade shocked herself when she thought that exact word. So tell me about your pack.

Kimaria
With a nod of his muzzle he stood up fully, noticing with sheer joy that he did seem to be getting bigger, he was no longer the scraggly little pup he had been when he had been wandering alone. That was when his thoughts returned to Aeria, it seemed he had not spoken to her for ages...and he had broken his promise.

His tail curled between his legs sadly as he trotted alongside his new friend. At her question he smiled a little, there was so much to tell about his pack, he just hoped he could find the words to explain to her.

Alpha Haku is Gizmo's brother. He black and orange fur and very strong, he taught runt how to hunt the furries. He say he need me, I his favourite male wolf in pack. The pride could easily be detected in his voice. He like Jade, I sure.

His eyes trailed along her fur and he suddenly realised what her colorings reminded him of, that green was the same he had seen near his old pack's den, the green of moss. He liked it very much. Shaking his head to rid himself of the thoughts he continued with describing the pack.

Lera, Haku's mate, she had puppies not long ago and she kind to Gizmo, she like the momma I never had. His tail wagged at this thought, Carmen is other adult, she look scary but really nice, we hunt! She used to be lone wolf! He yipped, leaping up onto a small boulder and canting his head.

Then there Gaara and Lexi, they like pack guardians and protect all wolves from danger. They care for you too I think. Then there two pup brothers, Kam-Kam and Tobie He continued, using their nicknames by habit. They shy but nice, Jade like them too.

Then he hesitated, there was still one more wolf he had failed to describe, but he knew it would be thought of as highly offensive if he left her out. Then finally there be Aeria. He paused, watching his breath mist in front of him. She Gizmo's good friend, helped me lot's of times.

He paused then and drew forth his ears, pausing in step to sniff tentatively at the air. There were strange scents about that tugged strongly at his nose, he said nothing for he was sure that Jade had smelt it too.

Russtiie
Jade listened intently to every name Gizmo spoke, making sure she made a mental note of each member, as she desired to create the perfect impression. Jade loved hearing Gizmo describe the pack. From cover to cover, the factual chronicle thrilled Jade as she breathed life into their character within her head.

Stopping at precisely the same moment as Gizmo, Jade lifted her nose and inhaled an interuption in the crisp winter air. Studying the area she noticed a frail trace of smoke, twirling upwards before vanishing into the tree's. Slowly approaching the small opening in the forest, Jade looked back and smiled at Gizmo. She placed herself in an exciting story of bravery and adventure. Noticing their was no immediate danger, Jade dashed into the opening leaping over the extinguished fire. It's Safe Gizmo! Jade laughed and hurried around the abandoned campsite, finding many human created objects, obviously left behind.

Kimaria
If he had been given the chance, Gizmo would have stopped her from running so fearlessly into the clearing, but as it was she had already done so.

Lowering himself to the ground he crept forwards, his belly brushing against the snow as he did so. This place was...different. It reeked of two-legs and the strange dancing-grey smelt disgusting. He wrinkled his nose but continued into the clearing, glancing about him quietly.

Jade appeared to be right, any two-legs that may have been here were now gone and had left their belongings to their investigation.

Giving a small yip towards his friend he moved closer to the pile of burning logs and watched the dancing finger of smoke work it's way up between the branches of the trees. What that? He asked of Jade, indicating the smoke with his nose.

Russtiie
Jade appeared to prance over to a confused Gizmo, transfixed on the rising remains of the smouldering fire. Its smoke. Grey clouds made from an old fire. Underneath the burnt logs was a small ember, glowing brightly. Jade was fascinated by the single ember, and gazed at what she thought was a delicate beauty. After several minutes, Jade broke her stare and began to bounce around Gizmo who also had been transed by the deceased fire.

Jade who was frolocking around the site, stumbled upon what she assumed was an unusual bird. Peering down at the collection of feathers, she tapped it lightly with her paw. It wasn't alive, and it didn't look like bird she had seen before. The feathers appeared to be bound to a hoop, which had a pattern inside, designed with string. Gizmo! Quick! Come look at this! Jade assumed it was some kind of trophy for hunting that the humans had left behind. Although the concept Jade had decided was gruesome, she quite fancied the human made trophy.

Kimaria
Smoke. He repeated carefully, tilting his head to watch it curiosly, he wondered what it was used for. Perhaps the two-legs used it to keep away predators, it did indeed smell rather strange.

He sneezed, shaking his head and stepping back from the fire, turning to watch Jade as she frolicked around him. He gave an excited yip, and watched her intently as she moved over to sniff at something lying on the ground. Was it some sort of two-legs trap?! Panic ceased him as she called out to him and he dashed over, the fur along his neck bristling in fear.

It a trap!? He yipped as he slid to a halt beside her, regarding the object fearfully, his eyes trailing along the feathers and the strange spiderweb design that had been woven inside of the perfect loop.

Lowering his head he snuffled at it, retrieving his nose as if it had been bitten, smell of two-legs. He muttered, reaching out and tapping it with a tentative paw. To his surprise the thing did not attack, but just simply lay on the ground. What it be? He questioned, watching the feathers flap lazily in the wind.

Russtiie
Jade nodded to Gizmo's comment. The object smelt of humans, which quite often meant danger, however this item had quite a calming effect on Jade. I don't know what this is Gizmo. But I want it! Jade scooped it over her nose and shook her head back to secure it. Jade smiled at Gizmo, Let's keep going.

She proudly walked along-side Gizmo with the creation dangling from her snout. As they exited the campsite Jade saw a large exposed bear trap open on the ground. She became quite agitated at the sight of it and hurried along. How much further?

Otsune
Lera laid inside her den, sheilded from the cold of the outside. Her three tiny pups laid next to her side. They had stopped feeding, for now, and laied huddled up besides her. Lera's thraot was dry and her stomach grumbled. She wish desperatly that another from her pack would come with food, or else she would have to go out and find it for herself...

where had Haku gone to, anyways?

Her head rose slightly (stopping before hitting the roof of her den) when she heard Gizmo's howl. She wanted to go out and see for what reason her was howling; but her duty laid there. There was some unfamiliar scent outside, as well as an unfamiliar mind.

Kimaria
Gizmo smirked at Jade and twitched his tail thoughtfully, trotting alongside her. The smoke from the fire wiped out any scent of the metal trap and he walked by it unknowing.

After a moment of following the same path he swung east and up a snowy slope that led towards the pack land. From here he caught Haku's scent and the other familiar ones, glad that they hadn't gone too far from their new home.

He hoped desperately that his friends would approve of Jade, and turning to glance at her he knew she would be accepted. Not too far. He replied, wagging his tail cheerfully. He would then throw back his head and give a long howl to announce his return, quite proud of the way it sounded. With each passing day his call was improving and for that he was eternally grateful.

Russtiie
Jade happily followed Gizmo up the snowy slode, as the realisation the Pack was not far off. Jumping slightly when Gizmo howled, she re-collected herself and hurried along eagerly. At the top of the hill Jade could see a collection of wolves and her tail wagged frantically. She was ecstatic, and began to dash down the slope. It was perhaps a little too much excitement and speed as Jade lost her balance and rolled down the last third of the hill. Getting to her feet she began to roar with laughter over her clumsiness, pouncing on Gizmo who was rushing to her aid.

During the fall, the feathered hoop had flown off her snout and into the snow. Forgetting all about the item, she proceeded quickly with Gizmo, craving to finally meet the pack.

Kimaria
It surprised Gizmo that Jade could be so clumsy, he had not really thought of her as such until he watched her topple down the hill. With a row of high-pitched yips Gizmo dashed down to join her and led her over to the main den.

Surprisingly, everything was pretty quiet for such a large pack, perhaps Haku was still speaking with Fea...he secretly hoped this wasn't the case. As much as he liked that masked wolf he would prefer if he kept his distance, he didn't want there to be a fight between his brother and that lonely stranger.

Giving another loud bark he would creep over to the den in which he knew Lera was, he hadn't gone near it since the female had dissapeared inside, in fear that he would anger her, but he knew he had to talk to one of the alphas, and seeing as Haku was absent it would have to be Lera.

Drawing up to the entrance he poked in his pale nose and snuffled cautiously, Lera? He whispered, letting his eyes grow accustomed to the darkness.

Russtiie
Jade suddenly became extremely nervous when no-one was around. Feeling incredibly insecure she pressed up beside Gizmo, where she felt comforted and safe just by standing with him. As they approached a dark den Jade's breathing grew heavy. She kept repeating to herself under her breath You can do this Jade. She had never been a big fan of the dark, however once they stepped inside, she no longer felt worried, and began to relax a little.

Otsune
Lera cpould hear gizmo appraoch, first the bark, then poking his head in. Lera rotated her body so she could still be close to her pups, but had her head looking down the chute of her den, to where gizmo was. Internally she wondered why he was there, and who the stranger that was with him was.

But suddenly her mommy pup-protector instinct kicked in as a deep, but soft, growl eruppted from her throat. Her golden eyes shone as she moved her body closer to the fragile bodies that laid next to her.

Kimaria
Gizmo whimpered, taking a small step back before flattening himself to the ground, pale ears pressed against his skull. This was one of the reasons he hadn't wanted to speak with Lera, it was male instincts to steer clear of a mother wolf, especially a first time one. He had often been told of it in his old pack.

Tail tucked between his legs he remained poised, ready to dash away if need be. Lera...where Haku?...I met wolf, she want join... His voice was barely a whisper.

Russtiie
Jade's moment of relaxtion dissolved very quickly as a growel emerged from within the cave. She took a step back and looked at Gizmo for security and support, however this was shattered through his nervous pose and tone in his voice. Jade knowing new mother wolves can get hostile, whispered to Gizmo with a shakey tone. Gizmo, lets leave!

Otsune
Instincts told Lera that no one besides her should be in this den. All outside bodies were seemingly tainted parasites, waiting to feed on her new borns. Her pups seemed so clean, so fragile, untouched by the outside world. It was as if Gizmo had some disease, and he just wanted to maliciously spread it. Her ears were propped forward, the grow; still churning out.

But then another body entered the 'entrance of her den.' Lera lips drew back in a snarl as she licked her nose. It inscensed her to knoew that some unkown creature was in her den. She opened her jaws, showing rows of teeth. She would not let these wolves near her pups.

Leradien continued to growl, not really hearing what Gizmo had to say. He could easily seek out Haku for questions, but why was he comming to her? And out of all times now.

Kouseki
Haku, having left Fea nad them quite some time ago walked back towards the den with a fresh catch for Lera. Seeing the two pups, he would move past them and drop the two bunnies down the chute. "What is it that you need me for, Gizmo?" he grumbled, licking the blood from his lips as he ploped to his butt just outside her little den thing.

He was semi depressed, becuase Lera booted him for the saftey of the pups, but hey, that's how mother's were. Looking the pups over, he would cant his head and part his maw at the green female. "Great, another weird pelted wolf to join." Rolling his eyes, he would snort, "What's your name, pup?"

Kimaria
Gizmo, being the little coward that he was quickly backed up from the fiercesome female, only to knock into one of Haku's forepaws. He whirled round in fright but felt the painc dissapear in a second. His brother was here!

With a happy yip he would nuzzle against his brother's dark chest and move to sit beside him, eyeing the den entrance warily.

She be Jade, new friend. Has no pack, she stay here? There, only Gizmo could summarise that much into one sentence. He looked over at the green pup and gave a wolfish smile. Dun worry, Haku always speak that way.

Russtiie
Jade froze in terror as the sound of a large wolf quickly approached them. Shutting her eyes tightly and breathing heavily Jade began to panic. She pressed firmly next to Gizmo and when a voice emerged from behind her, she gasped holding her breath. Her eyes flew open as the fear of an attack plagued her mind. The large black and brown patterened wolf passed Jade by dropping two rabbit's in front of Lera. She let out a slight sigh of relief after Gizmo spoke comforting words, however she still was not feeling very safe.

She swallowed and took half a step forward. Yes, my names Jade. She spoke with an extremely emotional tone, as she felt a tear roll down her cheek. I-I-I Jade was stuttering terribly, and her single tear had multiplied, having what felt like streams rolling down her soft green cheeks. She tried to settle herself and spoke again. I live with my grand-father. We are looking for a pack to join. There she said it! She waited for Haku's verdict anxiously, continuously turning to Gizmo for support.

Kouseki
He looked the pup over with a small smirk. Gizmo seemed to think highly of this one as well. Ah, what the heck. The more the merrier right? Giving a small nod of approval, he would sigh. "Yes, you may stay here. And your grandfather? I guess so, if he needs a place as well." Giving another nod, he would keep his station in front of Lera's den. It was his duty to keep her safe from all harm.

Sniffing the ground, he would kick a bit of snow at Gizmo. "Hey brother, how's the girlfriends?" Chuckling slightly, he would tackle his brother to play around. He was truely a kid at heart.

Russtiie
Jade was over-whelmed with emotion. The last few minutes had been so intense she wasn't quite sure how to react. She looked over at Gizmo, and then yipped with excitement. Remembering the cranky mother just behind Haku, Jade took a step back, hoping she hadn't upset her.

Thank you Haku! Jade jumped up and down with excitement! Come on Gizmo! Jade dashed out of the den and came to a sudden hault as she realised the black of the night was beginning to flood the sunset. Knowing that she shouldn't and couldn't walk in the dark, she re-entered the cave. I will stay here tonight Gizmo, and let my Pops know about everything in the morning! Jade grinned at Gizmo.

Kimaria
Well Gizmo was happy, he hadn't doubted that his brother would send Jade away but now he had been given confirmation he felt a great weight become lifted from his shoulders. Wagging his tail he would turn to peer up at his brother, a feeling of embarasment settling on him. Girl-girlfriends? What did his brother mean by that?

.......January 22nd..

Russtiie
Jade awoke early the next morning, before anyone had opened an eye. She was eager to inform her grand-father about the pack, and every detail of her "adventure" yesterday. She rushed out of the pack's den, desiring to get home hastily.

Jade strained to remember the way back, and paused to think once she had reached the hill where she had tumbled down. Jade suddenly lit up as she remembered the item she had found the day before, which was now lost in the snow. Searching the snow frantically, she noticed a feather barely poking out. She dashed over and began to dig carefully. Once she had un-convered the feathered hoop, she scooped it over her nose and continued running.

Pops I'm home!! Jade raced into the cave, finding her grand-father still sleeping. Jade crawled up next to him, and whispered into his ear. Pops I'm home..[/n] He stretched and yawned, grinning at his grand-daughter.

Jade exclaimed everything to her grand-father. She included every detail, defining each moment. She explained to him about her fear of harming the rabbit, and wanted advice. Jade wanted knowledge about the item she had found. She desired approval about the pack, and craved for her grand-father to meet Gizmo.

She was incredibly hectic when talking and her grand-father simply laughed when she had finished. After a long discussion, Jade was immensly satisfied with the conversation, and discovered she had definately been educated from this one morning.

Russtiie
Jade spent the rest of the day with her grand-father where they bonded by the river, and laid under the stars at night. Jade loved her 'pops' - he was her best friend. She would quite often finding her just watching him - smiling. Just knowing she had someone who cared so much about her, and who she cared so much about made her feel incredibly loved.

.......January 24th..

Kimaria
Gizmo opened his maw to answer when suddenly the little minty pup jumped up. Had he smelt something dangerous? At his words he relaxed a little, wondering who he planned to go and get. That pup certainly was a mystery.

With a small huff, Gizmo shifted slightly to lay where Kamali had been and let his eyes trail to the sky, seeking comfort in the stars. The fur along his neck bristled in fear and annoyance as his eyes caught onto nothing but clouds. Every now and then a star would peek out from beneath the harsh blanket but other than that the sky was dark.

He shivered a little, wondering how long Kamali was going to be, he hadn't been in this area before and as the dark consumed him, the trees began to play their strange tunes as the wind picked up.

The pup lowered himself further to the ground, ears flattening against his skull. A snap of a branch from the trees sent his head flying up, ears drawn forwards to listen. K-Kam-Kam? He whispered, hackles rising in fear.

Russtiie
Gradually the sky had become night, and as each colour turned a different shade, Jade would sprint that little bit faster. The sky was her timer, and she had to prove victorious over nature. Racing to reach the pack, she stumbled accross a companionless Gizmo. As he seemed rather alarmed, Jade did not want to frighten Gizmo, approaching slowly as not to startle him, she called out. Gizmo. It's me, Jade!

Once she had his attention she thankfully trotted over, delighted to no longer travel alone in the wicked darkness of the night. What are you doing here all by yourself? I was on my way to the pack to tell you all about my grand-father.

Kimaria
A familiar voice rang out, carried to him by the wind and calming him almost instantaneously. He whirled round to see Jade and gave a sigh of relief, bounding over to her and pouncing on her in sheer joy of not being alone anymore.

He nipped playfully at her ears before canting his head to listen. I wait for Kam-Kam. Gizmo answered, tail wagging slowly, Your Grandfather?

He frowned a little and shook his fur to rid it of snow that the small scuffle had caused. He come to pack too? Gizmo yawned and sat down, raising a hand leg to scratch behind his ear, eyes closing in contentment as he waited for his answer, determined to ignore the whistling of the trees all around him.

Russtiie
Jade also shook her fur clean, tossing off the snow planted from Gizmo's pounce.

Jade looked at Gizmo with slight confusion in her eyes. Who is Kam-Kam? She had hoped another member of the pack she would soon greet and be-friend. Hurrying to tell Gizmo about her grand-father, she immediately ignored Gizmo's reasoning for being alone and began to explain. Pops can't come to the pack because of his age. BUT, He is over-joyed that I am a member. He said my parents would be so proud of me! And I showed him the human item we found at the camp-site. He said it is a 'Dream-catcher'. A loud rumble from the sky distracted her momentarily. It is meant to give me good dreams! I placed it on a rock above where I sleep. Jade beamed with pride over her special item and grand-father's blessing.

Kimaria
Gizmo was too overjoyed to say anything at first, his tail wagging even faster as she spoke. He was so glad that Jade was able to stay, even pack-life got lonely sometimes and he knew he had found a true friend in this mossy coloured wolf.

A dreamcatcher? He tilted his head thoughtfully before nodding his muzzle and raising his head to the clouds, parting his jaws and howling his joy, wanting everyone to know how happy he was.

Then with an action that surprised even himself he reared up on his hind legs and pounced onto the female, bowling them both over in the cold blanket of snow. Jade stay, Jade be friend! He yipped.

Russtiie
Jade wagged her tail excitedly seeing Gizmo's joyous reaction. As Gizmo pounced onto Jade, she rolled over pinning him into the ground. She chuckled feeling quite satisfied, and stepped off Gizmo, boastfully shaking her fur clean. Sitting up straight she poked out her tongue playfully, and began chuckling again.

A second clap of thunder interupted her laughter. Louder then the first, Jade inspected the dark sky noticing a strange movement of the clouds. Wanting to have fun, she ignored the sky, and kicked up a wave of snow at Gizmo. She giggled, and began running off. Bet you can't catch me!

Kimaria
Gizmo arched his back in a playful bow, tail wagging madly as he panted, each breath wreathing his pale muzzle. At her challenge he bounded forwards a pace and gazed at her as she began to run away.

Raising his head he would give another howl, taking pleasure in it's pleasant and practised tone. Slowly but surely it was beginning to lose it's puppy-squeak and was forming properly.

Then in a second he was off, snow flying up beneath his paws, white clouds spraying up behind him as he crossed the snow. The only sounds that reached his ears were those of his paws pounding the ground beneath him and his own breathing.

Strengthening muscles bunched as he prepared to leap a fallen log, nearing...nearing...and in another extended pace he cleared it easily, tucking his hindlegs up against him so they wouldn't get caught as he leapt.

He landed on the ground, a slight tingle running up his forelegs as they hit the snow, causing him to stumble slightly. With an excited yip he continued onwards, working through the tingle of pain and bursting through the trees to run alongside the green fem. There was no time to speak, howl or yip to announce how close he was, and instead he swivelled his head round to n** playfully at her shoulder.

Russtiie
Jade running excitedly through the snow, flinched as Gizmo nipped her left shoulder. Her eyes squinted as she surged forward, darting in between the tree's and leaping over small bushes. She began to devise a plan, one she would be able to easily execute while maintaining her speed. Noticing a thin tree ahead, smothered in snow, Jade mischieviously grinned.

Right before she passed the tree, she lept into the air, thrusting her back legs left, hitting hard into the tree. The sudden pressure shook the tree, causing the heavy branches to release their pressure. The snow toppled down onto Gizmo and Jade roared with laughter, so much she had to cease running. She swung around to rumage through the pile of snow to find her friend.

Kimaria
One moment the pup had been running with what he thought to be exceptional skill and grace, and then the next he was hit with something so freezing it almost knocked him out cold. His yelp of surprise was muffled by the snow which had buried him completely, enveloping him in it's cold embrace.

It was dark...and cold...and he was scared! Whimpering he reached out with his forepaws, scuffling at the snow in order to try and dig himself out. But...what way was up and which was down?! Feeling totally disorientated he wondered whether he would ever see the sky again when suddenly a nose poked through the snow just in front of his vision.

He gave a small squeak, and pushed forwards, raising his head out of the snow, his pink nose touching Jade's in the process. His eyes locked onto her's the fear finally dimming in his own and replaced with something else. Then suddenly he pulled his head away and shook his fur which was soaked with the snow.

Now standing before the mossy green pup was a very cold, wet and scraggly looking runt-pup, his legs trembling slightly from cold, ears dropping and tail hanging lifelessly behind him.

Snow...cold. He managed so speak through chattering teeth, raising his ears and giving her a little smirk to show no hard feelings. It was just another trick he would have to learn to evade next time.

Russtiie
Lowering her head in guilt Jade walked over to Gizmo, and stood close, hoping to warm him a little from her body heat. As she lifted her head, she caught a glimpse of a large trail of grey clouds rising just a few hundred metres away. Follow me Gizmo! She began running quickly, slightly nervous and quite exhilarated she proceeded to the origin of the smoke. She peeked her head out from behind a tree, and noticing there was no immediate danger, dashed up close to the fire.

It must be another old camp Gizmo! She smiled at him, and indicated with her head to come stand by her. She laid down, heated by the warmth of the fire and gazed up at the now completely frosted sky. Warming up a little Giz?

Kimaria
W-wait Jade. You smell that? He canted his head and drew closer to her, peering around. Smell like Gaara? Indeed, the smell was incredibly familiar to the dark wolf, but at the same time it was slightly different.

This confused the pup greatly, and he slunk back into the forest, pushing his way through the undergrowth and growing even more confused as he neared the scent.

He looked back over his shoulder to check where Jade was before continuing, breaking out of the bushes and onto a reasonably wide forest path. Moving out of cover he raised his head and sniffed again, yes it had to be Gaara, who else would have that scent?

Raising his head he parted his jaws in another howl, waiting slightly nervously for the reply he was desperate to recieve.

Ryugen
Bran:
He looks up at the sound of another howl, this one a little closer, and a little anxious by it's strained tone, as he bundles up one of the ermine traps in a bit of oiled leather. He hopes whoever the pup is calling for answers, but doubt's it's much more serious than "I don't know where I am". There are other hunters, but he hasn't found trace of them in his neck of the woods, not recently.
It doesn't occur to him, at least initialy, that he's still wearing the dark wolfs scent on his coat and gloves, and as a result he keeps working on the traps, moving ahead in the woods to find where he left another.
"Go home little cousin." He switches to the native language, rustily, not the smooth easy speach he remembers his father using, which made talking to animals sound so simple that surely they 'must' understand.
"Your pack is waiting..."

Russtiie
Jade, confused by Gizmo's actions, began to slowly follow after him. Un-sure of what Gizmo was doing, Jade became un-settled and began to rock backwards and forwards. Constantly looking around, the fear of a human threat rushed to her head.

Gizmo! What are you doing!?!

Kimaria
Gizmo whimpered...why did Gaara not answer him? His ears flattened as he padded onwards, determined to find the male and introduce him to Jade. It had been a long while since they had spoken last, and he hadn't seen the male since they had entered their new home.

He craned his head back to speak with Jade as they trotted along, following the scent path laid out for them. Gaara....I smell Gaara nearby. Nose tell me he somewhere here, but he no answer Gizmo... He trailed off sadly and gave a few yips, throwing back his head in another howl, this one shorter, and more in desperation that anything. Had he done something to upset the older male?

Whimpering a little he no longer paid attention to his surroundings, simply letting his nose lead him.

Russtiie
Jade followed close behind Gizmo, feeling sympathetic as he was beginning to look down. She began wondering who was Gaara, and would she meet him.

Suddenly Jade picked up the scent of a wolf nearby, and understood what Gizmo was talking about. She hurried along after him, making sure there was no danger, as Gizmo was completley focused on the scent, not the environment.

Bron hunches his shoulders as the wind comes tearing through the trees, peppering him with flecks of snow. He frowns as the young wolf howls again, a little closer. Surely it has to smell there's a human in the area...they can't all be as bold as the Dark wolf can they? What could make a wild wolf pup come stumbling after a human? The posibilities that spring to mind, a combination of suspicion and superstition, are odd, a little alarming, and quickly dismissed. It must be lost, thats the only thing he can think of. If there had been a battle between packs, surely he would have heard some trace of it, and it's been a long time since he beleived in the mystical explaintions he beleived in as a child.

Kimaria
Gizmo had seemed to be walking for a long time, snuffling at the air, head raised and eyes almost closed as he concentrated as hard as he could on locating his friend.

It was as he grew even closer that the scent caused him to pause mid-step, his nose wrinkled in confusion as he turned to look at Jade, the scent was now becoming more distinguishable and although it smelt similar to Gaara it was also quite different.

His hackles rose but he pushed back any intelligent thoughts and pressed on, curiosity getting the better of him. He had to know what was wrong, and why Gaara seemed so...different. This weird... He whispered, turning left and continuing onwards, Gaara...different.

It seemed that he had been walking for a long while before his keen eyes picked out a slight movement in the distance, and the scent grew more powerful in his nose. He sneezed, shaking his head and peering cautiously ahead. See that? He asked of Jade, holding himself rigid against a blast of wind.

Wolf instincts told him that he should run, turn back now before he regretted any further actions, but the pup's curiosity drove him onwards. He moved with caution, body held closer to the ground as he approached.

Russtiie
Jade began to pick up another scent, different to a wolf, and yet vaguely familiar. She felt a certain un-easyness about pursuing this friend of Gizmos, sensing that something was definately wrong. Once Gizmo had confirmed that something was different about Gaara, Jade insisted on turning back. Gizmo, this isn't safe!!

Nodding in the sight of the far off movement, Jade became very worried. Please let's go! Gizmo was so transfixed, he could not hear Jade talk. Wanting to ensure her friend was safe, she followed directly beside Gizmo, lowering herself slightly.

Kimaria
He was startled out of his trance by Jade's calls of fear and paused again, turning his head to nuzzle at her furry cheek. You think it danger? He asked cautiously coming to a complete halt and sitting back on his haunches.

What if thing has Gaara? He questioned, curling his tail around one hind leg and glancing up towards the figure in the trees.

He was undecided, split between the decision to turn and run or the path that led up to the strange creature...and maybe Gaara. He sneezed again, lowering his head and turning to nuzzle at his friend once more.

Russtiie]Jade, not wanting to leave a possibly injured or trapped wolf, insisted that Gizmo check to see, and if there is any danger, run and alert the pack. If not then proceed.

Jade very un-sure crept up behind some shrubs and began searching the area for a Wolf. A movement grasped her attention, however she could not clearly see what the creature was. Gizmo! Did you see that!
Bran straightens up in the wake of the wind, shaking snow from his thick black hair and brushing it out from the space between his scarf and neck. Damned wind...He's got snow in places he thought he'd protected.
He doesn't spot Gizmo and Jade, the two pups have aproached on his blind side, testified to by the scar that becomes visible as he gets the snow off, and the glimpse of a milk white eye. There's no room to hide Gaara in any form on his person, even under the bulky wool and leather coat, and the only scent of blood is the faint cleaned off aroma of ermine.
It's the slight whine of young pups that make him turn his head, his one good eye showing amber, almost the color of wolfs eyes, but not quite.
"Hey there..." He frowns slightly, puzzled more than startled to realize the pup(s) are there. "What do you think you're doing? Hunting?" For someone familiar with human language, his voice is a quandary, it has an non native accent to go with native speach and a largely native face.

Kimaria
Gizmo froze for a brief moment before scooting sideways to nestle against Jade, his eyes filled with fear, confusion and a sensation of being lost. Why did this two-legs smell like his friend? Had he attacked Gaara?

His nose had also detected the scent of blood, and the fur along his neck bristled despite the whimper that broke free from his throat.

He shoved Jade sideways so that she became hidden behind a tall fern and tried his best to look intimidating, fluffing himself up and baring his teeth to the man. His throat vibrated with a squeaky growl as he took a step forwards, head held low to the ground so that his throat was protected from this enemy.

Nikui
"What're you two doing?" He questioned Jade and Gizmo, coming up behind them slowly, before looking up at Bran. Wrinkling his nose a bit, he then looked down at the fallen Jade, and the rather...fluffed up Gizmo. "He wont hurt you, dont worry. He just kills off the ermine around here." He smirked a bit...a lot less violent, of course, or else he would have attacked the human by now. Of course...Gizmo and Jade probably followed his scent to Bran, his old owner, his old friend...he who had been wounded by Gaara's jaw and claws as Sable had.

He sighed, and looked up to Bran, giving a whuff and a light, mocking, toss of his head. Looking back down to the pups, he smirked, baring large fangs...he was getting bigger, he'd be an adult soon...Though, he was to take care of Gizmo as he did Lexi, he did not wish to have another incident happen, such as Sable's death, anymore...he was careful, and connected.

Kimaria
Gizmo jumped in the air, whirling round to face the large male wolf and stumbling back a little, knocking into Jade as he did so. Gaara, you here...how come two-legs smell like you? The pup sat up and glanced at the human nervously, he wasn't sure of the situation anymore.

Er-ermine? He tilted his head in the two-leg's direction and gave a small yip of confusion, turning back to check on Jade to make sure she was okay. He didn't want her to be put in danger because of his curiosity.

But then Gaara had said that the two-legs would not hurt him, this was something else that confused the pup. He had only heard bad things about their kind, about their hunting and how they lived their lives.

He gave a small huff of confusion and glanced between them male wolf and the male two-legs...did they know each other?

Ryugen
"Hakan..." Bran looks a little pleased, a little releived, to see the dark wolf show up, although his name for Gaara may sound a little odd to the pups. He pulls off one of the heavy leather gloves and offers it out for inspection before daring to risk an ear rub.
"What fierce little freinds you have there, Hakan..." He kneels down to be more on a visible level to the tiny, comicly growling pup, although it brings him VERY on level with the towering Gaara, who will be an enormous wolf when full grown. In spite of the cold, he leaves the hand extended, so that the pup can examine it at it's leisure and determine for it's self if he's harmless or not. His gloves smell of oilcloth and pine, and cold sap, the way his hands smell of human, a little of smoke, and a little like the smoked sausages and dark coffee from breakfast.
He's amused by the squeaky growl from Gizmo, although the sight of Hakan/Gaara's teeth is...a touch on the alarming side, but there's not much to do other than hope that the dark wolf hasn't changed it's mind since last time they met.

Kimaria
Gizmo leans forward, sniffing at the extended hand curiosly, sneezing as he does so - with such a force that it bowls him backwards. He shakes himself throughly, and draws forward his ears, not quite sure what to make of this.

With a tentative paw he reaches forward to tap the two-leg's hand and gives a low whine, tail curling around his hind leg. Would the creature attack him now? He doubted it since Gaara was with him, and knew that the large wolf was enough to scare any creature - whether it be two-legs or wolf.

He also found himself wondering whether this two-legs has a pack, or whether he lived a life of solitude, away from females and males. He wasn't sure of the behaviour patterns of the two-legs but he knew that they were not to be underestimated, even if they did seem friendly.

Ryugen
Bron stiffles an laugh, the situation may be one where there's a fair degree of possible danger, but watching an bold, previously growling pup knock it's self head over teacup with a sneeze is still funny.
"What happened to all that bravery, Helki?" He dubs the pup the first name that comes to mind. It means "Touch" after the pups paw resting on his own hand. He speaks quietly, so as not to further alarm.
Bran's own scent seems to lack any recent contact with other humans, he's been living here pretty much alone for a while...venturing to towns to buy supplys he can't get on his own...he's had an lingering reluctance to aproach any of the native villages. He's been away too long, and feels as though it would be an intrusion, that he would be more of an outsider there than he is in the towns, where his facial structure, if not the hair, give him away, even when his slightly darker than normal skin doesn't.
He's tempted to dub the greenish female, (he's never SEEN a Green wolf before, and wonders, against all reason, if it's really a spirit) Karmiti (Trees).

Kimaria
The two-legs caught his attention, the strange words leaving his mouth causing his head to tilt slightly in question. He couldn't help but wonder what this creature was saying.

He blinked his bright eyes and licked at his pink nose, shaking his head a little as he felt the coming of another sneeze. His large, pointed ears perked up as he listened to the tones of the man's voice, eyes watching intently, and taking in everything.

One of the two-leg's eyes was white, and his furless skin was broken in a deep groove alongside his face. How could one see out of such a clouded eye? These creatures looked as strange as they smelt, for they had flat muzzles and small rounded ears on the sides of their heads. Giving a small huff Gizmo got up to circle the man, noticing the absence of a tail and the fact that his forepaws had no claws. How could they be so dangerous Gizmo did not know.

He arched his back, reaching out to paw at the human's jacket, sniffing at it and then grabbing it in his teeth. Another squeaky-growl erupted in his throat as he thrashed his head from side to side, small teeth sinking into the article of clothing as if it were a rabbit.

Ryugen
"I'll give you credit for being ammusing but I need the coat..." Bron chides with a slight frown, as the pup loosely dubbed Helke circles around and starts putting toothmarks into the hem of his coat. The thick wool is resiliant, as is the leather trim and exterior that help make it block the wind, but it's also not designed to stand up to sharp little pup teeth which are working holes into the leather. He puts his hand on the hem of the coat to try and keep it from being jerked around, adjusting the bow and quiver on his back to fish in his pocket with an ungloved hand, looking for a strip of jerky. Its not likely what the pups used to eating, but he doubts it can hurt much, and might get his coat back. At least if he splits it with Hakan.
He puts a piece on the ground in reach of the larger wolf, and crumbles another in his pocket before tossing an small piece into the snow beside the "hunting" pup. "Mercy on the coat there please...Some of us don't have fur..." His white eye doesn't 'track' like the amber one does, or not perfectly, unable to see, at least not in any usuable regard.
"I must be completely out of my mind." He adds conversationaly. "Shows I need to get out more. I'm in the middle of the forrest talking to wolves."

Russtiie
Jade had beeing unusually quiet during the close up human encounter. Her examination of this foreign man had gone into so much depth, that words had become an un-familiar existence. She listened intently to the sounds exiting his bizzare mouth, and slowly moving her head closer to hear, Jade lost her balance and fell head first into the snow.

The fall broke Jade's transe, lifting herself up and frowning she looked to Gizmo for a reaction. She was pleased to see he wasn't laughing and therefore didn't feel too embaressed. The temperature was rapidly dropping, and Jade wanted to leave for home where she could warm-up and feel secure.

Gizmo. I'm ready to go now. Please. Jade felt awkward in the presence of the human, and wanted to be as far away from him as possible. I'm ready to go now!! Despite what she had heard about this particular man, Jade insisted on leaving, having little trust in any human..

Kimaria
Gizmo continued to tug at the jacket for a few more moments when suddenly his nose smelt something strange and somehow mouth-watering at the same time. He gave a small yip sniffing at the offered morsal curiously and reached out to grab it in his teeth.

It tasted strange, but not in a bad way and Gizmo wagged his tail happily, turning his nose up to glance at the human. He wondered if the two-legs were given names just as wolves were.

Jade's cry of protest diverted his attention from the human and he canted his head in confusion, what had happened to upset her so?

He padded over to her, nuzzling at her side affectionately. Jade no like White-eye? He questioned. He thought it strange that she was so fearful of someone who obviously did not wish them any harm. For in Gizmo's young mind, one who came with food could surely be no enemy.

Ryugen
He tosses another piece of jerky, this one to the green pup (Jade/Karmiti), but thats all, as he puts the rest away. He wants not to be bitten, not to half tame them.
"I have to find the rest of my traps before I loose them in the storm..." He says conversationaly. "Why don't you take these little warriors home, Hakan."
He doesn't want to be out here when the storm breaks any more than Jade does, although the reasons are a little different. He has no pack to help him FIND home should he be out here in the middle of a blizzard, and can't just go nose to tail and wait for it to pass.

Russtiie
Jade pawed at the ground nervously, holding back her explanation of why she was so fearful. She forced herself to stay strong for Gizmo, still indicating she wanted to leave, where then she could offer him reasoning.

When Bran offered the food to Jade, she stood back and rejected it quickly. She rolled it over to Gizmo with her nose, and smiled very politely, supressing her true emotions about the situation. She did not know why she was so worried, but she could not control her anxiety.

Kimaria
Gizmo beamed at Jade, then glanced at the food, gobbling it up quickly. His tail wagged again and he rolled over in the snow, exposing his pale belly to the elements before jumping back onto his paws and dashing in a wide circle, yipping excitedly.

It was strange that after being taught how all two-legs were evil and disgusting creatures, that the one he met was nice and carried food!

He paused beside Jade, pressing his nose up against her chin and giving a low whuff, sensing she was still fearful.

Gizmo protect Jade from White-eye, he no claws or pointy teeth. He no match for me.

It seemed the little pup had forgotten about the weather in his excitement, eyes paying no heed to the darkening skies, and body not noticing the rapid change in temperature.

Ryugen
The sudden fall of darkness makes his pulse quicken slightly as he straightens. If he had been about to laugh at Helke(Gizmo's) antics, the humor fades quickly, especialy as the wind whips up, driving snow before it like ice cold teeth that batter the strange gathering and send his coat and scarf whipping around him.
"Damn!" He almost shouts, throwing up an arm to protect his face, half blinded by the flurry of snow, and his vision improved not a bit by the inky darkness. He can't feel the sence of deep possibly preternatural unease caused by the storm, but it's seriousness is not lost on him. Being trapped out in a storm like this would be a sealed fate, leaving a frozen corpse to be picked at by crows and insects.

.......January 26th.. - Continued from the 24th...

Kimaria
In the far off distance came a young and sorrowful howl, loud enough to reach Gizmo's ears and telling him that they couldn't have been too far from the den. It was strange to think that little, quiet Kamali could make such a noise. Gizmo wanted to reply when suddenly Gaara made a move, the large male seemed to be trying to communicate with the human.

A strong gust of wind caused the pup to tremble violently and he backed up into Jade, a low whimper in his throat. Something was wrong, very wrong indeed.

Turning to his green companion, noticing that she was almost white where snowflakes had gathered in her fur, he moved over licking at her forehead. Something wrong, wind fast and hurts. His eyes were half-lidded to keep out the snow.

When he turned back he could make out the figure of White-eye moving away from them, Gaara padding by his side. He opened his jaws, yipping as loudly as he could, only to have the sound whipped away from his throat and lost.

He told himself to relax, that it was going to be okay, but in this moment of panic his nose seemed to fail him, mingling scents together and causing him to tremble in fear, where were they? He wanted to howl but knew it would be useless, what was happening?

He backed up a little more, pressing himself firmly against Jade and burying his face into her side. And in those last few moments when he sure that death was going to take him he could think of only this:

Was Aeria safe...and where was his brother?

Lethrossen
Kamali shifted, aware of the warmth of another, before eyes slit open. Where was he? He gently rubbed against the thing he was touching, then realized it was another pup. He stretched his paws out before sitting up, glancing down. Ona? The storm! His gaze whipped around toward the entrance, seeing that it was still going on.

He had not slept long at all. He was aware of a new smell. An odd smell. A smell he did not like. His orbs flickered around the den, taking in who was there, and froze on the two-legs. What was a two legs doing here! He began to tremble, anger, confusion and fright mixing into his mind. He forced himself to look away, he saw Gaara and Lexi near it, so it must not be like.. like the only kind of two legs he'd known.

He stood slowly, shaking off, looking around again. Where was Gizmo? And his friend! He yelped, dashing to the entrance and looking out, but it was impossible to see anything. "Where's Gizmo? And the.. the other pup!" He hadn't met the pup, and his voice echoed around the den.

Why wasn't Gizmo here! Why did no one get him! He whined slightly. He was retrieved! Maybe Gizmo did not tell the others where he was? With a howl of coarse. "You can't leave him out there!" His voice was just on the border of normal speaking and shouting. He took a step out of the cave, yapping wildly to the wilderness. None of it mattered, his voice was carried away too swiftly.

Some one had to go look for him! Before one of the older, more resposible, not to mention experienced wolves could do anything he darted out, still yapping, as loud as he could. He wondered if he should howl again..

This is idoicy! Going out in the storm! But Gizmo was still out here, and that Jade pup. Sometimes one didn't think when in a panic.

Kimaria
Gizmo's trembling form was unaware of anything but the terrible cold, and even Jade's fur offered him no comfort as he sat next to her. The bushes offered them hardly any shelter from the vicious wind and the darkness had loomed in so quickly that he felt almost blind.

Yet inside of him he knew that he had to survive, and he would not just sit and wait for the jaws of death to crush him with it's powerful grip. Nudging at Jade he would push her to her feet and whimper, turning his head to glance up the path White-eye and Gaara had gone.

He turned his head to speak to Jade, practically yelling to make sure his words were heard. We follow way Gaara went! He yipped, getting onto his feet and trembling violently. Stay close to bushes. They shelter from worst of weather! Then motioning for Jade to follow he started off, body held low to the ground and eyes closed as he trudged forwards.

The going was hard, and the cold had stiffened the movement in his legs making movement painful. His joints felt swollen and numb but he knew he had to ignore it, work through the pain until he got home...to the den.

As he moved he heard the faint whisper of a howl, the sound seemed more like a memory than an actual reality. He wanted to reply but his lips felt too cold and his teeth chattered too wildly to be of any use. Did anyone even know he was missing? Perhaps the cold was driving him mad, making him hear things that weren't even there.

Lethrossen
Kamali whined, his whole body wasslowly begining to freeze, but he kept up his yapping, hoping Gizmo could hear, even though the wind was terring them into the storm. He hadn't a clue where Gizmo and Jade were, but he just kept going the same direction. He could not veer from the straight path, other whise he might not find his way back. "Gizmo! Gizmo where are you!" He practically screamed into the storm, his throat was going to kill the next day.

His body was low to the ground, eyes squinting, practically shut, ears back, fur trying to be torn off him by the angry winds. He needed an adult, that's all he knew. What if he couldn't find Gizmo? What if Gizmo had already found his way back!

Kimaria
Gizmo raised his head and drew his ears forward from their flattened position, no longer could he feel his paws on the snow, or the fur on his body. His eyes streamed from where the bitter wind slashed at them and his nose stung with a terrible pain. There was a fire burning in his lungs which flared with each ragged breath and he tried to whimper.

His eyes widened slightly as he watched the snow dancing and whirling about him, shapes of white wolves appearing from the darkness, their hollow eyes watching him, were these the star wolves? Come down from the heavens to bear him away to their home.

He lost his footing, and fell, his muzzle hitting the snow and his legs crumpling beneath his form. Where was Jade? He hoped she was still with him, he didn't want to be alone.

It was then that he heard the echoing yips of a pup, floating to him like a calming melody. He wanted to reply, call for help, but his throat was sore and cold. He trembled violently, but his legs had failed him and he was sure that he wouldn't be able to get up.

No! He would not give up so easily! He would not lie here and wait for the darkness to consume him! He managed a low growl as he felt the twinge of pain run up his legs, forcing himself to his paws he continued on, turning his head back to locate Jade. His vision was blurry but he was sure he spotted a green shape moving amongst the white.

Lethrossen
Kamali was getting tired again, and he was freezing. He shut his eyes, forcing himself to keep moving. He knew if he stopped, he wouldn't start again. He let his mind be wrapped in the void, letting him ignore the elements beating at him from every side. "Giiii..g-gizmo." he called, fainter now.

His voice was dying. This was not good. He could not see anything! Suddenly he walked right into something! And fell over. With a yelp his eyes flared open, then shut half way, stinging from the cold. He'd fallen right over.. Gizmo! And he could see some odd figure of a pup, just behind him "Gizmo!" He squeaked.

Russtiie
Jade's fur had turned a soft white, covered by the falling snow. She strained to see her companion, constantly having to push into him to keep direction, and as to not seperate. She tried howling several times, however her efforts were useless, as her pleading calls were muffled by the wind.

The wind chilled Jade to the bone and she struggled to push forward in the rising snow. Each step, she would sink a little, and proceeding just a few metres took extreme effort. Gizmo! I'm scared! She began to really fret, and she felt a tear roll down her cheek, almost freezing before it rolled off.

Her ears perked up as she heard another wolf's call in the distance. Gizmo! Can you hear that!? She started to become hopeful, where she forced herself to press on.

Kimaria
Gizmo's eyes widened as he came face to face with Kamali, the little minty pup was almost completely camoflagued in his surroundings and Gizmo had not even noticed him coming.

He wanted to pounce on him and let him know how happy he was to see him but his muscles were tired. He turned his head to nuzzle at Jade, not wanting her to feel so scared. He supposed that all the wishing for adventure had brought him this rather terrifying one. It okay, he be Kam-Kam, my friend! He spoke over the wind, turning to press his nose against the minty pup's forehead. No Haku? He questioned, his teeth chattering as he spoke.

He couldn't help but feel a little dissapointed that an adult had not come to the rescue, but he treasured Kamali's bravery for coming to find them. He was an honorable pup indeed.

Russtiie
A wolfs figure emerged from the whitewashed surroundings. Jades tail wagged over-joyed that someone had come to help them. However once she observed the wolf was only a pup, she became disappointed in the pack, and that they would not send out an adult search party.

Admiring this pup for her bravery, she glanced at Gizmo, and then re-focused on their saviour. Hi Kam! Jade's teeth chattered, and she staggered forward several steps, trying to push forward to seperate from the storm. Let's go Gizmo and Kam. Her eyes were glazed with hope and she maintained a positive attitude, regardless of the actual danger.

Lethrossen
Kamali shook his head, frowning a bit and nuzzling Gizmo, giving a greeting nod to the girl before turning, struggling to start walking again, since he found them he decided he did not need to waste his voice any more.

He still trotted, crouched as if he was hunting. He realized it was a little easier to move this way, though didn't understand why.

Kouseki
The wolf snarled. That human was now in his den. As long as it kept away form Lera and the pups. Gaara seemed to think it was all right. >>; So, as long as the damned two legged didn't mess up, Haku wouldn't have to rip out his throat or munch on his head.

Seeing that three of the pups were STILL gone, he took off into the snow and howled loudly for them. Being a hunter, he could smell their scents. "JADE! GIZMO! KAMALI!" He saw a few coloured spots amongst the white snow. "You guys are gonna freeze! Get to the den now!" Growling, he would pick up Kamali and pup him on his back, then put Jade with him. Grabbing Gizmo, he would move towards the den. Thank god he was brute enough to take these three pups. Any longer in the storm like that and they would freeze.

Once inside the warmth of the pack den, he would lick each of the pup's foreheads to make sure they were okay. At least they weren't TOO far from the den. "That human over there, pay no mind, just stay away."

Lethrossen
Kamali frowned at Haku, like they had wanted to be our there? But the frown quickly slipped away and he shook off again, still trembling. His gaze flicked back to the human and he said nothing, then looked back to Haku "Thank you Haku, I'm sure we wouldnt have made it.. with out your help.." He murmered, glancing over to Ona.

She was still asleep. And looked very warm. He started to totter over that way, yawning. Then he realized he hadn't properly met Jade, and turned and came back, looking the darker green pup over. His tail gave a slight wag, but that was all he had energy for. "I'm Kamali" he said to her.

Kimaria
Gizmo was too cold to protest, letting himself be carried back to the den before moving to snuggle up against his brother's side. He was still cold but he knew that now he was out of the storm he might be able to warm up.

With a small sigh he let his eyes fall closed nuzzling against his brother's fur and letting out a small whimper.

He had known his brother would come to get him...

Russtiie
Jade was over-joyed to be back in the safety and warmth of the den. She smiled at everyone in the den, yet felt quite nervous when she glanced at Lera and the human. She turned to Gizmo and lay down beside him, snuggling to keep warm, and to show appriciation of his protection.

Thank you Kam and Gizmo.

Lethrossen
Kamali shrugged a little and slipped over to ona, laying down next to her and shutting his eyes, willing sleep to come. But it wouldnt. He sighed and let them open again, watching in front of him.

Kouseki
Of course he would come to save them! He was his brother, and the pack's alpha. Nuzzling Gizmo softly, he would whisper in the pup's ear, "I couldn't loose my brother and favorite male, could I?" He gave off a smirk, before looking at Kamali and Ona. Cute couple. Aeria seemed to be curled up in the corner near the pups and lera, but not TOO close.

This was his family.. he would protect them no matter what.

Russtiie
Jade highly respected Haku, and imagined him as her own father. A figure she could look up too and rely on in all times. She wanted to get to know Haku better - he would be her "Pack father". She struggled onto her weakened feet and plotted over next to Haku.

Jade smiled fondly at the Alpha male. Haku, I never really had the chance to thank you for accepting me to join your pack. I feel so privaleged. My dependance has always been orientated around my grand-father, and now I feel part of a family. Thankyou.

Kouseki
He gave a small nod to Jade, and licked her forehead. "I'm really glad you decided to join us, Jade. I'm sure you'll be a beautiful wolf and a wonderful hunter." Giving her a small nod, he would look her over. She would turn out to be a fine pack member indeed.

"I'm honored that you apperciate our family," Nuzzling her softly, he would then see how tired she looked. "Are you sure you don't need rest, Jadey?" he would tease slightly, almost everyone had a nice name anyways.

Russtiie
She felt suddenly awkward on the mentioning of hunting, yet continued smiling at Haku, while blushing over his kind statement. She yawned and nodded at his question. I think I will go to sleep now. Thankyou Haku.

She crawled over next to Gizmo, shut her weary eyes, and trickled off into a safe and wonderous realm of dreams.

.......January 30th..

Russtiie
Jade stretched out, opening her olive eyes. It was a crisp and cold morning, and it appeared that the storm had almost passed. She subtly looked around, and not seeing much movement she slowly pushed to her feet, and headed towards the fresh pure snow, fallen just outside the cave.

She had been unsure of the arguement that had happened, and wanted to avoid involvement. She sat down and admired her new home land. Her near death encounter with Gizmo still loomed in the air. Each soft breeze that would ruffle her fur, reminded her of the horrifying blizzard. Quite fearful even thinking of the event, she still could not wait to tell her grand-father.

On a nearby bush covered in snow, a small berry poked through. The cerise color glowed with beauty and Jade trotted over to closely observe the berry. Knocking it down with her nose, she picked up the berry with her sharp teeth, and the sweet juicy flavour gave Jade tingles.

.......February 1st..

Russtiie
Jade was having trouble supressing her high energy which had been building up since the blizzard began. Lazing inside a dull cave was not the most exciting place to be. Jade scanned the inside of the cave, in hope that there would be a slim chance of something fun occuring. Seeing nothing, Jade collapsed onto her side and gazed at the blizzard attacking the surrounding forest. Jade let out a slight sigh - bored and waiting for someone to talk too..

The wolf sighed and shook his head, before moving to the front of the den again. The snow was lessening even more. "..Jade," He muttered, looking over at her. "You're not planning on leaving us too, are you?" Tilting his head, he would sigh. Maybe she wanted to as well.. he wouldn't stop her either.

Looking around the cave, he would allow his left ear to twitch like normal. He kind of wished Selia was here.. He missed his baby sister, and wanted to show her that she was an aunt now.

Tobias nodded at Lexi. Again, what she said made sense. And it sounded fun. She seemed to know all about these things!

Turning around, Tobias saw a little green pup. This one was a mossy green, however, much different from his brother's mint-like colour. She looked relatively bored. Walking over, he sat down next to her, watching the wind and snow.

"Hello." he said, "I'm Tobias." he was also quite bored. Being cooped up in a den for days at a time wasn't his idea of great fun. He was itching to go outside, and run.

Jade smiled at Haku and shook her head. I'm not going anywhere! She felt so comfortable around her new family, an emotion not felt in a while.

Joined by Tobias, Jade had a burst of energy. Jumping to her feet, tail wagging, she greeted the wolf. Im Jade! It's a pleasure to meet you Tobias. Finally with someone to talk too, Jade sat up straight and grinned at the bored wolf. I have been waiting for someone to talk too! I am so bored in here! She turned and glanced at the storm still caging her in the cave. When do you think this will end? I want to go and visit my grand-father... Jade paused for a moment, realising that her grand-father could be injured pr trapped somewhere. She forced the thoughts out of her mind, wanting to maintain her positive attitude.

Where are your parents Tobias?

Tobias smiled at this pup. She seemed quite the ball of energy! It was a nice contrast to his current quiet boredom.

"Tell me about it." He grinned, at hercomment about being bored in here, "Being cooped up here is getting on everyone's nerves, I'm sure."

When Jade wondered when this storm would end, Tobias happened to glance out, seeing Lexi and the human leave. The storm definately seemed to be lessening. Jade had a grandfather? Why didn't he join the pack? Maybe he was too old...

"I think the storm has already stopped, actually." He said, thoughtfully, getting up to stick his head out the cave mouth. It definately had slowed to a light sprinkling of snow. He froze, however, when Jade asked him about his parents.

"They're... They've passed away." He answered, making it clear he didn't want to discuss that topic at the moment. Turning, he decidedto change the topic.

"Want to go find your grandfather, then?"

Russtiie
The harsh winds and force of the storm had finally settled, which delighted Jade.

Jade noticed the sensitive tone and expression of Tobias when talking about his family, so Jade backed off the topic knowing how it feels to discuss a sore subject. Glancing back at the eased storm Jade stepped forward. Sure! We can go visit my grand-father. Smiling thoughfully and tail wagging, Jade headed out of the cave and staggered through the dense snow.

Tobias seemed very sweet and had quite a composed personality. Jade couldn't wait to introduce Tobias to her grand-father, in fact Jade couldn't wait to see her grand-father. She had missed him dearly over the passing days, and thought of him frequently. I'm sure my grand-father will love meeting you!

Tobias wondered, worriedly, if her grandfather had made it through the storm. Was he already part of a pack with a den? Or was he stuck outside? He didn't know this wolf, but he knew that storm had been viscious. But he didn't even know anything about that wolf! He decided to stop thinking about it, the thoughts seemed to whirl about his head.

Instead, he stepped outside. He'd been wanting to stretch his legs anyways, since the storm. Looking around, he wondered where they were supposed to go, and voiced this question.

"So where is your grandfather, anyways?"

Russtiie
My grand-father lives accross the river. He didn't want to cause a strain on the pack by joining, because of his age. So I am sure to visit him constantly! Jade trotted through the pure white snow, which came up above her knees - as so much had fallen.

Excited and slightly worried to get to her grand-father, Jade's pace slowly increased. Do you think he will be ok? Jade had already lost her parents, and if her grand-father was to come into harm's way, it would devastate Jade. She wanted Tobias to give her confirmation of her grand-father's health, and re-assure her that he would be fine. However she knew that no-one's words could make her comforted unless she saw him for herself - especially because Tobias had never met her grand-father. Asking again, slightly worried, Will he be ok?

Tobias felt a little sad upon hearing this. Jade's grandfather didn't want to cause strain on the pack, but that meant he lived alone. Wouldn't he be lonely? But of course, that would be why Jade visited him.

"Across the river, that must be the free lands." he thought aloud.

He watched as Jade trotted through the snow that was up above her knees. It barely reached his own ankles. Although he was around the same age as most of the pups, he was slightly older, and he was much bigger. It had its advantages, however. He could walk through this snow quite easily, for example.

Finally, the question he'd been thinking about before popped out into the open. As Jade asked whether her grandfather was okay, he hesitated. He didn't know whether her grandfather could take the storm, he didn't know how old he was or how strong. Why was she asking him? He didn't want to give her false hopes, although he, too, wished the grandfather would be alright. He knew all too well the devastation death could cause a pup.

"I'm sure he'll be fine." he reassured, hoping his voice sounded a lot more certain than he felt. That storm had been very strong.

Russtiie
A weak satisfaction rushed through Jade over Tobias' confirmation of her grand-father's health. Knowing that Tobias had never met her grand-father or witnessed the strength of the storm down south, she still valued his comfort. Jade required security, regardless of whom it was from. She liked to feel safe, and that is what Tobias made her feel.

Jade walked inwards pressing lightly against Tobias, afraid of the unusual surroundings. They were definately on the right track, however something felt different. Spread along the icey ground were dozens of birds, frozen to death by the harsh storm. Surrounded by victims of the storm made Jade feel quite un-easy, especially when thinking of her grand-father.

Creating a distraction for herself, Jade initiated a conversation. So Tobias, tell me about youself. Like when did you join the pack?

Tobias looked down at the frozen bodies of small mammals and birds that littered the path. He was glad it was so cold, and that everything was frozen, for the smell of death was dampered by the ice. His stomach lurched when he realized that Jade's grandfather would have been through this. He was an uneasy wolf as he padded through the snow.

"When did I join the pack?" Tobias repeated, trying to remember when, "I believe it may have been a month ago. My brother was part of this pack and they were in the freelands. Then, they moved, and I didn't know about it, so I followed them. And they allowed me into the pack!" he finished, grinning for no apparent reason.

"Is this the right way?" Tobias asked as they reached the river. He thought she had mentioned that her grandfather was in the freelands, which was past the river, but he wasn't sure.

Russtiie
Yep, this is the way. Jade lead Tobias over the river crossing and into an open field, where she sat directly in the centre. Wow a month ago. Time does pass by quickly. It seems only yesterday I met Gizmo. The damp air whirled around Jade, sending a tingle up her spine. Smiling at Tobias, and perking up a little, she dug her paw slightly into the snow, and smacked a small clump directly into his face. Jade chuckled loudly, and began sprinting away. Catch me if you can!!

Jade struggling to run, stumbled and crashed into the soft pure snow, where she laid and roared with laughter. All the energy bottled up inside the cave, was quickly being released, in several moments of adrenalin. She awaited Tobais' arrival, and prepared a small pile of snow ready to whack playfully at him.

Tobias was taken utterly by surprise as the snow smacked him in the maw. Pausing for a second in cold shock, he snickered and chased after her. Unfortunately, he overlooked a patch of ice and slipped, sliding to a stop a couple of meters away.

He couldn't see her now. Slowly and quietly, he got up, following her scent. He was careful not to let his paws crunch on the snow, for he wanted a silent, sneak attack. He used the hunting skills he had learned back in the freelands. Crouching as to not be seen, he finally could smell where she was hiding, behind a small pile of snow.

He slowly walked towards the pile, knowing she was on the other side, and pushed th snow over on top of her! He sprinted out of range and laughed.

"Got you back!" He shouted back.

Russtiie
Jade shook off the snow, pushed backwards into the ground and thrusted forward, chasing after Tobias.

Looking all around, Tobias was nowhere In sight. Jade grinned and headed towards a small cluster of rocks, pressuming Tobias was hiding nearby. Come out come out wherever you are! ... GOTCHA! Jade pounced behind the rocks, thumping into the ground. Feeling rather foolish Jade quickly dashed off from the embaressing moment, and continued in search of Tobias.

A slight ruffling came from within the forest. Jade crouched down low, and proceeded extremely cautiously, not wanting to create the smallest sound. Squinting into the distance, she could see the figure of a wolf staggering behind a large Oak tree. Still low to the ground Jade hurried along, filling with excitement she briefly paused. On the other side of the tree was Tobias, and she wanted to get him back. She counted down in here head. 3... 2... 1... Jade bounced out from behind the tree. GOTCHA!!

POP! Jade's eyes widened and she rushed over to see her grand-father collapsed into the snow. TOBIAS HELP!!! TOBIAS!!! Jade's voice echoed with panic, and her body lost it's strength. Jade's legs began to rapidly shake. TOBIAS!!! Jade cried for help from her hiding friend. Nuzzling into her grand-father, Jade whimpered. Please be ok Pops, please...

Tobias' ears perked up as he heard his name being called. "JADE!" He called back, hoping this wasn't what he thought it was. Apon finding her, he skidded to a stop, sending snow everywhere. It was her grandfather!

Eyes widening, he nudged him. He couldn't hear any breathing, or his heart. His fur was tangled with snow and ice, as if he'd been laying there for a while, and had frozen. His eyes were open and staring blankly, but they didn't look alive. They were full of fear and pain, he thought, sickly. His head drooped. How could he tell Jade? Somehow, Tobias had known all along, however. The truth was inevitable. He glanced at Jade, and sighed solemnly.

"I think... I think he's..." He stopped. he couldn't really say anything more. Sadly, he forced out the words "Gone." in a somewhat high-pitched squeak.

Russtiie
Jade's eyes swelled with tears, and her body turned ice cold. A horrified and sickening feeling rose from her stomach, on which she gagged as it tried to escape her mouth. Slowly swaying Jade felt un-able to hold back any longer. Her eyes over-flowed with tears, streaming down her cheeks, as if competiting for first place.

Jade felt incredibly light-headed, and she began to loose her balance. She collapsed into the snow, staring at her limp grand-father. Repeating in her mind were the words 'Come back to me'. Jade shut her eyes tight, praying that it was all a dream. A deep and hollow gasp came just a foot in front of her, in which Jade was too shaken to observe. Forcing her eyes open, the frail body of her grand-father moved, filled with air as he began breathing.

Jade pushed to her feet, tears still streaming I knew it! I saw something move before In the bushes! I knew you wouldn't leave me! Jade nuzzled into her grand-father's side, who was very weak and almost frozen from the snow. Tobias! We have to get him to the cave! It's not to far from here!

Jade was thinking very quickly, which was strange considering the emotional rollercoaster she had just travelled on. Your going to be ok Pops. Your going to be ok.

Tobias was taken aback when he heard the gasp. The grandfather's chest started to heave upwards; he was definately breathing. He sighed with relief, glad he didn't have to deal with anymore death. Now, however, the problem was bringing him back. He'd have to bring him across the river! How would that work? Oh well, he thought, I'll have to take this one step at a time. The main thing is that he's alive.

He looked at the old wolf. He judged his weight to be light enough to carry on his back. Carefully, he eased the elder onto his back. He let out a light 'oof' once he stood right up; the wolf was heavier than he first looked. Taking a step, he buckled slightly, then regained his posture. "Jade." He asked, "I'm going to need you to watch and make sure he's okay on my back, and he's not falling off or anything, okay?" He took a deep breath and began walking towards the river, which was nearby.

Russtiie
Ok Tobias!! Jade nodded and walked close to Tobias. Thank you Tobias so much! Jade follwed closely, and noticed Tobias was heading in the direction of the pack. Tobias! WAIT! My pops den is closer. Our cave is just a little south. Jade rushed forward a few paces and pointed with her nose the direction of the cave.

As Tobias walked past, Jade whispered in her grand-father's ear. Please be ok pops! Please!! Behind Tobias, Jade smiled with admiration and gradititude.

The surrounding area was a familiar walk for Jade. She adored the area, and passing through it with her grand-father and new found friend, meant the world to Jade.

After a short while, they were almost at the cave. Jade's tail wagged as she came up the home stretch. She felt a warm feeling rush through her, a feeling of joy for her grand-father and his ability to over-come death, and thankfulness, that she had the luck to be introduced to a friend like Tobias. We're here! Jade shouted, looking down the barrel of her family's cave.

Tobias gently placed Jade's grandfather onto the floor of the den. He was revisited by the familiar feeling of anxiety he got when he went into somebody else's den. But now he was faced with a newer problem. He was no healer. He had no idea how to... fix him. How to heal him. He was breathing... but...

"Maybe we should get help now." Tobias suggested. Walking a little way out of the den, he looked around. The woods were very quiet. It wasn't pack territory, there could be anyone - or anything - out there, maybe something that knew what to do. Perhaps... He let out a low, deep howl, hoping maybe another wolf could hear his cry. He didn't know how to take care of the old wolf, so maybe somebody else did...
