The green cheetah girl found her self a nice plump hare to snack on. It was quite a sight to see a small thin cheetah dragging a pump hair across the African plains. Pilate shined with every step she took, proud of the hare she had killed on her own. This cheetah was getting good at hunting and really had little want for food. There was a time the cheetah had not a clue how to fend, well, for her self. Since she started living with her adopted big lion sister she had learned a lot.

Dragging such a fat hare took its toll on the small cub. It was tiring business, chasing, killing and now dragging and she was no where near her home. Lucky for her she could duck down in the grass, take a break, and possibly take a little weight from her kill. It was still morning and no where near dark, thankfully. Her adopted big sister wouldn't have to worry.

The cubs pink eyes smiled as she took that first juicy bite of rabbit flesh. It was good and had a lot of squishy fat goodness. The trip away from home had been well worth it and now she could rest and snack and have the rest of the day to her self. What could go wrong?

Utkarsh had managed to escape his adoptive mother's eyes. At least for the moment. She had adopted a few other kids, as well had her own. All lions, but Utkarsh and his siblings. It was annoying, really, being with them. He couldn't wait to be old enough to leave for good. They were all too happy for him, and he hated that. He liked seeing other's in despair. It made him smile for the most part. Though, deep down, he was like most cubs. He was afraid of alot, but wouldn't let others see him be afraid. he was suppose to be tough.

The smell of something freshly killed got Utkarsh's attention. He moved towards the smell, not sure what to expect. Though, his belly was rumbling, and he was quite hungry. He didn't want to go back to his so called family, at least not yet. And bugs weren't the best tasting things.

The cub rolled on her back with delight, exposing her underside to the bright rays. Sunbathing was always so nice and warm. She turned back to her meal and took a few more bites before her ears twitched and she was alerted that another presence. Her first instinct was to stand up and look around to see what might be coming towards her.

Yeah, her instincts were still on the naive side. For a cub that wandered alone most of the time, it was lucky nothing had eaten her yet. Some thing must have been looking out for her because commonsense had yet to find this cub. Its hard to be afraid of others when all you have known in life were some what friendly creatures.

"Is some one out there?" The cub blinked, her large pink eyes scanned the seemingly empty horizon.

The smell soon was followed by a voice. Great.... He was hoping they had left their meal and were long gone. But nothing ever turns out how Utkarsh wanted. His ears were flat, as he saw the female standing up. You could hardly see Utkarsh with the grass around him. Apart from his green and white fur. He was odd looking, didn't even match his siblings, and knew that he was odd looking. But never, never had he seen another green Cheetah.

It surprised him for a moment, which caused him to stop and stare in awe. Of course, he'd never admit that he did that. Plus, it was a girl from the looks of it. She must have some type of girl disease. What was that his sisters would call when she'd touch a boy? He couldn't remember for the life of him. He just new that she probably was bad... He moved towards her with out a word.

Pilate scanned the horizon several more times, but still there was no sign of another being. Odd, she had thought she had heard something. How confusing.

She quickly turned back onto her side and just rolled on her back. She had the rest of the day to her self and the dead fat hare wasn't going to hop off on her now. It was dead and had been nibbled on after all. Pilate rolled about playfully and pawed at the passing clouds pretending they were zebra's. She wanted to be a great hunter some day.

Utkarsh was less then silent when moving threw the grass. She must have been pretty dumb if she didn't see him, he thought. He moved right next to her to see how long it'd take her to notice his green pelt next to hers. Just staring up at her. Though, she wasn't too much bigger then him, but still bigger. He tapped his tail on the grass next to him. He never liked started the conversations, it was for others to do, not him.

The tapping of the others tail caught her attention. Pilate turned her head only to find a smaller green cheetah cub right next to her. How had that escaped her? The cheetah didn't know she was to surprised and shocked. Had he been there the whole time?

Pilate rolled onto her belly and trained her pink eyes on the other, obviously a male.

The first words that left her maw were ,"Your green!" The second other green cheetah she had ever seen. Pilate couldn't help but just stare, her mouth hung open in awe.

He rolled his eyes. "Well, at least your not color blind" He spoke. She was green too, but he wasn't about to say that. He figured she knew her color already. It would be rather odd if they didn't know their own color of their fur. He wondered how stupid this female could be. Though, he wasn't really smart either, but he'd never think that. He spent a lot of time just watching others and observing them when around his "mother". If he said or did anything he'd get in trouble.

"Anything else you want to point out?" He asked.

The cheetah girl frowned and shook her head, "No, not really." She wasn't upset, just a little surprised to get such an answer. The cheetah stayed quiet for a moment, watching the other with her pink eyes. Confusion was an understatement. He was something else in personality and markings. Both were green, yeah, but the markings were so different.

"Why you all alone?" The cub finally asked. Maybe her theory was correct about a lone rogue cheetah giving birth to green cheetahs and just scattering them about. It seemed cruel almost but some how was a logical explanation for the cub in her own mind.

The rabbit carcass just stayed put like a good carcass should. Its blood was now running down the rock in a macabre sort of fashion Pilate had not intended. It was now long forgotten by the cub as her new focus was this other.

Utkarsh didn't understand girls. Most of them were too cheerful. "I'm not alone. Or are you just part of my mind?" Yes, he was a smart a**. He didn't care if he made her sad or angry, he actually wanted that. He smirked to see her response on what he said. Of course he'd not tell her about his family, they weren't really anything he cared about, plus he didn't want her to come find him later on.

His belly rumbled, but he wasn't about to say anything on the matter of the dead rabbit she was sitting next to. He wanted it, and didn't want to share, but he didn't know how he'd go about stealing it from her.

Pilate gasped for a moment, "Part of your mind?" The sarcasm escaped her and she was now at a loss of what to say. She wasn't sad, she wasn't mad, she was a little confused. "Why would I be part of your mind... unless.." She chewed that thought for a moment, "Your actually part of my mind. Ha ha ~"

The tummy rumble interrupted her idiotic rant. She hadn't realized the other was hungry since he had appeared seemingly out of no where.

"Your hungry?" The cub inquired, "If you want... you can have some of this rabbit?" The dead rabbit just stayed still. It was dead and now blood was leaking into the dirt below the rock. The dirt was happy to have any kind of moisture even if it was blood. Greedily it drank up the rabbits fluids.

He poked her with a paw. Nope, she was there. Well, he knew that, but he had to show her that he was really there. "Seems it's not a dream." he said rather dully. He eyed the rabbit now that she had went back to noticing it. Damn his belly why did it have to make noise? He was this close in just grabbing it and running.

He wasn't sure what to say. He didn't want to share it at all, even though he couldn't even eat half of it. But he wasn't the sharing type. He snorted. "Only if you can't finish it all." He said as if he wasn't THAT hungry.

Pilate gave the other a little bit of a funny perplexed look. He was a strange one for sure, but that didn't bother her so much. The cheetah had run into a large variety of characters that had been a little different. Most of them were forward though and not so hard to figure out.

"Sure, no way I can finish that fat thing," She smiled, "I had a good bit any how." The cheetah lied, sure she had a few bites but not a meals worth. Still, her character was mothering and a little selfless. At times though she was a ball of energy.

Utkarsh was full of selfishness, and rude behavior. He tapped his tail on the ground as he watched her movements. She could have been lying, but that didn't really matter in his mind. He didn't care if she starved on his behalf. He was there to steal her food after all. And since she offered, it seemed less work on him. Even if he didn't want to share, but sometimes you had to do things you didn't want to. He knew that more then most cubs. He lived with a family he didn't want to live with. But it was more because they weren't really his family. Except for the three other cheetah cubs in there. Though, they had brainwashed them. Or that's what he thought anyways.

Pilate took a seat and waited or him to take the rabbit. What ever was going threw his head was something Pilate didn't pick up on. She just thought he was a little odd. The fact that the cub was there to steal her kill was a concept a little beyond her. Specially since this little one before her was also a cheetah.

But she nudged the rabbit towards the other. It flopped off the rock and made an odd splatting sound.
