Have you? I have. Twice. Both time were completely accidental. The first time I had mentioned to my french teacher I had finished OOTP in record time and she said that although she hadn't finished it as quickly but she had finished it. Then we got into a talk about Sirius death and wondering if he was coming back (and me going into denial about the whole thing) when another teacher turned round and said "I haven't read that far yet." Instant silence. Me and my teacher quickly whispered "Sorry." and got the hell out of there.
Second time I was visiting my uncle and while I was there we watched the third movie with me bitching how they had gotten stuff wrong. Then Dumbledore walked on the screen and I blurted out (again thinking my uncle had already read HBP) "well he's dead now." Uncle:No he's not. Me:yes he is. Uncle:No, it was the other actor who died Me: (realizing that my uncle hadn't read HBP) umm... yep! You're right! He's alive and well! Hehehehe.... sweatdrop Uncle: confused
Then two weeks ago I get a phone call... Me:Hello? uncle:If you ever tell me the ending of a story again I'm going to ******** kill you. Me:SORRY! gonk
From the conversation that followed let's just say the next time i see my uncle I'm getting a smack round the head sad
So tell me your stories of letting endings slip so I don't feel so bad. Please?

I ruined the ending of HPB by accident to my friend `cos I was telling Molly, (my other friend) what happened.
I felt so terrible afterwards especially because she tried her hardest to avoid having the 6th book spoiled. gonk heart

well... my only excuse is i was having one shitty HBP release party.
so as i walked out of borders the night of the release with the book under my arm, i began the infamous chant of, 'snape kills dumbledore, snape kills dumbledore'. later i found a video online of some p***k who had the same wonderful idea i did.
btw- i'm sorry to the few kids who may have heard me that night.
other than that, i only told because i was asked.

I havn't ruined it, but people have questioned me on and on about Harry Potter, since any time they are reading it, I had already had the books done. They pester me with 'do they die doe the diedotheydiedotheydie?!?!!?!' Because they want to know btu I won't tell them. I would never want to know the ending. Ever ever. I mean, a book is there so you can enjoy the story, not so you can learn the end before you enjoy it.
Anyway, when you told your uncle that . . . totally clueless I must say. Oh dear.
Good though, made me laugh.

lol. That's funny. My Dad took my book when we got it at Midnight for HBP, and then read the last chapter. crying He spoiled it for me there...
I told my Mom about the entire series. So she stopped reading halfway through the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Yep. Just the one person though. I did it to piss her off. It didn't work as well as I thought it would though.
