It'll be Mother Night and Yule here next month. Yule is the biggest holiday on the Heathen calendar so I'm rather looking forward to it ^_^ I have some mead now, too. ^_^

What will you be celebrating next? How are you going to celebrate? Shaaaaare.

My next holiday in general is June 8, Lindisfarne Day, which appears on my swiped calander as:
Quote:
On this day in the year 1043 Runic Era (793 CE) three Viking ships raided the Isle of Lindisfarne, officially opening what is the Viking Age. Toast these brave warriors who began the noble resistance of the alien invasion of the Northlands and sought rightful revenge for the slaughter of the Saxons by Charlamange.

So I'm not sure what I'll do for that day. I'd like to try something new that I wouldn't normally do, but I don't have any idea what yet xd

My next major holiday is Midsummer on June 21. I'll most likely give praise to Sunna and tip my head to Baldr.

How did it go.... "A furore Normannorum libera nos, Domine!"

I had to do a double take when I saw Yule but then I remembered that you're from New Zealand lol!!

Midsummer is coming up but I've not planned what to do yet because I'm stuck in exam mode. I'll try and do something but it'll probably be late lol

Not sure if I'll do anything for midsummer yet or not (still having issues gonk ). I may do something with the family though - bonfire, toasted marshmallows, etc... have to see what the weather is like (it's rained the last few sabbats).

I'm thinking of creating a kata expressing the strength of the Lord of the Summer

Seeing as I'm still underage and my parents aren't too keen on the whole ceremony thing, I think I might write a short story in honor of Midsummer.

Oh that sounds like a good idea ^___^

For Alban Heruin, I will probably do some form or rededication, probably involving going to the park and walking my path to the Botanical Gardens, and through the woods there. I love getting close to nature this way.

I know for Samhain Eve I will bury a pomegranite in the ground for the souls who have passed on, I will be alone this year for this Sabbat so I haven't got a clue what to do??? but I will set my altar up for the God and Goddess

Mabon is next. I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I still have a month to plan.

I haven't a clue about Mabon yet, if we do anything at all.
Samhain I'll treat like a new years day, I suppose. We'll see how that plays out.

Speaking of which, how do you pronounce "Samhain"? I wanna make sure how I've heard it is correct.

Which God and Goddess?

There's also a tradition of leaving apples for the dead; if you live close to where your ancestors are interred, you might leave them a few on their headstones. I wouldn't do it randomly, however, and it might not be an appropriate tradition depending on your practice.

Ah. That's close to how I've heard it pronounced. Just reading it, it makes no sense. But it's not english, so it doesn't have to make sense, lol.
I think I've heard it pronounced "sow-een" or "sow-in" (somewhere between those two).
