It was night, but the full moon above gave off plenty of light upon the field below. There was a lush, green, jungle bordering the field, and on its edge, walked a pale green leopard. There was nothing at all remarkable about her appearance - she was virtually everything a leopard should be - spotted, strong build, and elegant.
Emengarde, for that was her name, looked out at the field with bright pink eyes, scanning it. She seemed to be alone. There was only the chirping of crickets and frogs, and the glow of fireflies.
Peaceful.
It made the leopardess smile, and with kitten-ish glee, she left out into the field, romping and playing, chasing after fireflies. The giggles that escaped her rang out musically into the night, without a care.

Aryaisha had wondered far the night before and as the sun set he found that he could not rest anymore, his plan was to chill for a day, so for the second time in two days he started to travel at night. As the full moon slowly made its daily trek across the sky Ary could see a dense jungle in the distance, not sure if it was a prides land he slowed his approach.
Giggles rang out over the grass as Ary came ever closer to that jungle border. After a moment of searching he could see a leopard playing in the moonlight. The full moon reveled the leopard coat to be green and her movements gave off the feel of a female so as Ary came closer he took a quick check on his appearance. His black main appeared highlighted silver in the light as did his brown fur, he was lightly covered in dust but that is what happens when one travels long distances, and his main was wind tossed, but over all he looked quite dashing in the moon's glow.
Learned from many years of fights by being incautious Aryaisha stopped a respectful distance away from where the leopardess was playing and said in a clear voice, "I did not know that nymphs are quite this beautiful"

In the clear night, the lion's voice easily caught her ears. Emengarde stopped, and looked around with widened eyes. "Who,..?" she said to herself, before spotting the dark-furred male.
Emengarde had no prejudice towards other species, but she knew better than to be completely at ease. The male's words were charming, but that could all be a ploy~ Oh! Can the paranoia! Grah!
She put on a lovely smile, and replied; "Why, thank you. You must be the dashing young knight every princess dreams of, no doubt. So what brings you this way? This 'nymph' whishes to know."
Emengarde took a few steps towards him.

When the leopardess did not respond in fear or anger but in curiosity and playfulness Ary took it as a good thing and gave a graceful bow. "This humble knight is just passing through. Fate drew me from my resting place in a distant place to this enchanted one where one such a lovely creature as you can frolic in the moonlight."
And while the leopardess took a few steps closer he did not move not wanting to spook her. "If it pleases you gracious wood spirit, I am called Aryaisha and I was but wondering if I might ask for your name, as one such as your self must have a name that rivals the the moon itself for its beauty."
Talking like this was making Ary's day. So far he has had a water fight, climbed a tree, and told a tall tale, but this is the first time since he was little and pretending, did he talk all flowery.

Emengarde happily found herself willing to play along. "Such flattery, my dear, Aryaisha! I am blushing beneath my fur! Since you ask my name, and so willingly gave me yours, I shall then tell you~! My name, dear knight, is Emengarde!"
She had finally padded just a couple yards from the male, and gave a 'courtsey' of sorts.
She had not expected such an encounter, but she was pleased. There was an annoying nagging in the back of her mind that she shouldn't be getting too comfortable. She always had that feeling around others, but,..she knew if she followed it, she would never meet anyone! And such was her lonely existance now...

"Such a pretty name for such a lovely lady." Aryaisha said as watched her curtsy. After a moment of taking in the moon washed landscape and the pretty green leopardess he asked, "If it does not offend one such as your self might I inquire a what a beautiful maiden is doing out on such a mystical night?"
The crickets and frogs seemed to create music as the fireflies flickered like candle light. If Ary didn't know better he would think that the gods were having too much fun. His mind scrambling trying to come up with more things to say in keeping with this fanciful talk and imagery. He mentally started to spin his tale of heroics and battles, of course it was all fake but he was sure tossing in mythical creatures and places like dragons and Atlantis would mark his tale as just that a tale, granted one to amuse Emengarde but false none the less.

"Just that!" Emengarde said, "Enjoying the night in all it's beautiful simplicity!"
She looked all around with admiration for the landscape. It was a most pleasant of nights. The air was cool, and not the least bit muggy. The wind was gentle, and there was not a cloud in the dark blue sky! Emengarde was almost overwhelmed with its splendor.

Aryashia looked at the glorious night and as the gentle wind ruffled his mane his body finally decides that he must rest. His paws were a dull ache from the nearly two days of constant walking, the rest of his body was full of dull throbbing from the climbing and falling from any tree that he tried to gain back his childhood skill from. Even though he needed to rest he did not show it. A male must never show weakness, that was a rule he learned shortly after his mother's death.
He wished he could stay longer but as he observed the sky and the moon he realized that it was much later then he thought. "This humblest of knights must beg pardon of this grand lady for this knight must continue his quest ere the moon sets and the sun rises." He bowed once more before taking his leave of the leopardess.
