Jacob...was doing his best trying to keep the little monster attatched to the end of a harness in line. With promise of seeing more snakes and other animals they were off.
Ubara had tolerated the harness though he chewed on the cord now and again when he felt they weren't moving fast enough, the short walk felt like it went on for eons. Jacob had to steer Ubara away from a small dog which the toddler had launched himself at (mental note no puppies for them until Bara learned some...ground rules for owning pets..)
"Now Ubara we are just going to look at the snakes...you understand right? Look...not touch." He tried to get Ubara to pay attention though the blue/grey skinned toddler only nodded his head and kept going. He really was starting to think the kid had Autism though this was the only time he had gotten the trollish child to listen. With promises of looking at reptiles.
When they had gotten to the store ...finally. He felt like his arm was a wet noddle. Walking with Ubara was worse than walking a dog...his arm felt so tired from trying to reign him in he dreeded the walk home.
"Snake!" demanded Ubara as soon as he found the first person other than Jacob.
"SNAKE!" he shouted this time stamping a foot trying to get the adult to pay attention.

Reina had been loitering around the pet-shop, trying not to look suspicious (not that she was or anything, really) and consciously trying to avoid anyone she knew.
Because ******** it, her reputation as a tough chick - already in ruins thanks to a daytime job as a ******** kiddy dance instructor - would commit seppuku the moment any of her friends saw her with what had to be the cutest toddler in the whole damn city. (Eiji and Richter were conveniently out of town, so there was really no contest.)
Well.. using the term 'friends' in it's loosest connotations. With horror the young woman realised that she didn't actually have any friends worth mentioning except for, gods forbid, her brother.
No ******** wonder it'd been so easy to avoid anyone she knew!
It was in this moment of realization that she was accosted by what had to be the ugliest ******** kid in the whole city, or at the very least the loudest and most obnoxious.
"s**t kid, tone it down, would ya?" On her hip, the colourful little girl known as Tae-hee cracked open an eye to see what disturbed her nap. And was instantly fascinated. Someone.. someone her own size who could stand up! At least not for more than a few seconds.
Her face was a picture of inquisitivity, nearly nose-diving down to look at the other toddler and hopefully glean a bit of his genius; the only thing saving her from meeting the floor head-on was the surprisingly quick reflexes of her ever-suffering mom.

Ubara's long ears twitched as the woman spoke, he groweled at her looking about ready to bite her when Jacob quickly picked up on his aggression and intervened.
"Ah...sorry.." Come his reply wit his British accent it seemed more like the man was walking a pet rather than a child. He looked down at Ubara with an expression of bad boy written across his face.
"Ubarajin... you know you need to..." he started and then he let out a meep as suddenly the little girl in the woman's arms nearly plummeted to the ground. He felt his heart jump to his throat but was thankful the woman whom he guessed was either the mother or the sister of the little one caught her.
Ubara didn't like having himself dragged from the woman but soon his attention drifted to the little one that had tried to get a good look at him. He blinked a couple of times and smiled. With his small tusks it was..a rather strange smile.
Pointing one of his three fingers at her he laughed.
"Upside down!" He cackled, yes...cackled at the little girl.
Jacob frowned and shook his head, "Ubara don't point its rude." he tried to sound mad though in essence he just sounded tired. He turned his focus back to the girl and offered her a half smile.
"Sorry again.. he..is just not use to ..people." He explained.
