((meant to be PRI between Xigbar and Demyx but if any of the other Org. members are reading this just ask and you can join <3 ))

These were not good cookies.

Grumbling, a lone Audio sat in the great throne-room of the Organization, He sat in his old chair, position #9, and poked at the little tin of homemade cookies in his lap. Time and time again he had tried to bake the delicious morsels and time and time again they came out not so good. And yet every time he ate them, and vowed to try again. How many times had he gone through this ritual? ...Honestly he had no idea.

Day after day Demyx wandered the halls of the castle, looking for any sign of life. The place was huge! Maybe the others were just..hiding? But by the looks of Marluxia's untended flower garden, Vexen's laboratory, etc etc down the list...they weren't here. Even Saix had been simply gone for quite some time, and the sitarist had thought he enjoyed being in charge.

Heaving a sigh number nine slouched further in his seat. It wasn't professional in the least, but who cared? No one was here to see him do it anyway. He really didn't know how much longer he could take the overwhelming loneliness. As if dealing with the sense of emptiness wasn't bad enough on it's own. And yet...it'd feel wrong to just abandon this place. It was theirs, wasn't it? Maybe they'd come back one day...

And so, every other day or so he had tried to bake cookies once more. If the others came back, Demyx wanted them to have cookies to come home too. ...Now if only he could make them actually -delicious-.

Mumbling to himself about what bits of the recipe he could change or fix, Demyx reached up a paw and absentlly poked at the halo hovering above his head. At least he had his own little bubble of light against the darkness.

A low growl rumbled, one yellow eye narrowed in a glare. Where he had been for so long was a mystery, but wherever it was had not left him in a good mood.

"*mutter* next time xemnas wants to *($$*)W*, 8E$T*&*#, he can *$((@+&#xin;g do it himself! *muttergrowl*"

Consumed in his grumblings, Xigbar stalked through the halls of the old castle. Wherever everyone else was he did not care, had he even noticed how quiet it was? Would he have cared had he noticed?

However there was one thing he suddenly found he cared about, the stone planter he had just tripped over. What the f*ing hell, where the f*ck had that come from?! ARGGGG!

A stream of profanities left his mouth, goddamn it that had hurt! What the hell else had been moved around while he was gone? Damned kids. Wait, was something burning?

Sigh, this was not his day was it.

((Man I had almost forgotten how adorable he is as an angelic ;; *loves that pose for him*))

...Waaaait. He had something he needed to check on didn't he? What the heck was it?? Frowning, Demyx thought, and thought, and...then it hit him.
"THEPEANUTBUTTERCOOKIES!"
Crap YES that was it! He had been trying to figure out some delicious peanut butter cookies and had been distracted with his grumblings over the last batch of treats. Crap crap -crap-! Jumping down off his chair, the sitarist went running off towards the kitchen to try and save the batch.

As he ran along he could -swear- he heard something...but no, it just couldn't be. The halls had seemed abandoned for so long...it had to just be the rattling of one of the creatures that lurked outside. Yes! That was it. He just didn't want to get his hopes up yet -again- over something like this.

((lol, he is cute. someday I should see about geting Xiggy converted, or evolved xD ))

Smoke, he smelled it, a dark plume billowing down the hallway. Were there fire alarms in the castle, surely the shrill warning would have pierced his ears even as a at least vaguely shadow raced off in the direction of the smoke.

"What the ******** hell is going on here?!"

Facepaw. Great, just great, he disappeared for a little while and they burn the castle down. He did not need to come home to this!

Home...that was a strange concept. Was this truly home after all this time? Had it ever really been home? Xigbar pondered a moment before pushing the thoughts from his mind, he had other things to think about. Like keeping the castle from burning down.

A fierce scowl on his maw, Xigbar stalked through the hall, prepared to chew out whoever was stupidly playing with matches, unpleasant words forming in his mind with each step.

"DEMYX!"

Rounding the corner, his gaze had fallen on the other audio, he had changed, though he was unmistakable. Xigbar's jaw had fallen still, Demyx had not been the audio he'd expected to see, though if he thought about he'd wonder why he was surprised.

((Xiggy would be an awesome convert or higher form XD))

Normally where one smelled smoke, they found Axel. Though Demyx -could- have been a toss up...at least to put the fire out.

At the sound of his name the sitarist skidded to a halt and whirled around. Screw the cookies, was someone actually here?! Eyes widened, the young Audio hardly able to believe what he was seeing. Not only was someone back...but it was Xigbar! Hadn't..hadn't Saix said the commanding officers were gone for good? And yet here was Xigbar, the Audio that Saix had made him replace!

...Hoboy, if the diviner ever showed up again fur was going to fly...

But hell that was nothing to worry about now! Shaking off at least a bit of the surprise, Demyx frantically waved in greeting to the other.
"XIGBAR!! I--i--..is it really you?!"

"I'm standing here aren't I?"

It wasn't really a question, but rather a statement of fact. Of course it was him, who the hell else would he be. What was he going to do, disappear into thin air? Well, okay, he -could- have done that if he chose to, but that was beside the point.

"What the hell have you done to this place while I was gone?"

Right, fire, greetings later, making sure the castle didn't burn down around them now. One paw reached out, roughly ruffling the other's hair (it was as close to a gesture of affection as he was going to get right now), taking the last few steps to the kitchen to turn off the oven before it burst into flames. Right, of course it had come from there, well, at least some things never changed. Wait, was that a smile?

"Since when do you have wings?"

"Y-you are but...but Saix said!...and I didn't do anything! ...Okay I burned the cookies BUT STILL! And oh man my wings! That's...a very weird story."
Hoboy. Without anyone but Puff to talk to for a while Demyx really was tripping all over himself to get everything out.

The sitarist followed him in, his mood somewhere between rather surprised and OVERWHELMING joy at someone -finally- being around again! Not that he should -have- emotions anyway but that just wasn't a topic he was going to get himself into again. He had had enough thinking while he was alone, now it was time for talking!
"They just happened Xigbar! I was just enjoying a day at the beach with friends and ...I don't really know. Something messed with my headphones and then -this- happened."
Demyx huffed, poking at one of his wings. He never had taken very good care of them. When he first got them he merely dragged them around the castle for days on end. The tips were still pretty messed up from the occasional dragging he did to this very day.
"But...that doesn't matter, where have you been?"
PostPosted: Wed May 27, 2009 9:05 pm

"Saix doesn't know as much as he thinks he does, you should know that by now."

A snort, his tail twitched. Saix, that arrogant little s**t, no telling what he had done while Xigbar was away, or what he had done to the others. He supposed he'd have to deal with that as well. Later, he wasn't in the mood right now.

"I see, must have been painful."

Or so he would have guessed, not that he had ever had wings suddenly sprout from his back before. Oh well, it wasn't as if he needed wings to fly, it was all a matter of controlling gravity.

His eyes had narrowed at the question, not in anger at the one who had asked, but rather had the one who had sent him off on the mission in the first place. Oh how he fumed at the thought of it, damn Xemnas, damn him to the abyss.

"On a mission, you don't want to know, trust me."

And he didn't want to talk about it.

"Where is everyone else?"

"But...but he took over. We had to listen to him!"
Demyx flattened his ears back. Did..did he dare tell Xigbar that in his absence Saix had appointed -him- to second in command? ...Errrr no, probably not a good idea.

"It was...but I'm all better now!"
Yeah, thanks to a few friends who helped him along the way. Without them he'd probably have some pretty nasty scars. Oh well, no use worrying over what -could- have happened.

"O-okay...I won't ask."
Yeahhh if Xigbar didn't want to talk about it, it probably wasn't a good idea to press. No matter how badly he wanted to know.

But now he had to answer for the others...
"I..I don't know."
The blonde lowered his head, rather ashamed at the fact he had no answers for the other Audio.

((trying to think of a song for xiggy to fill out the evolving form, may as well register him right? xD))

His gaze narrowed, a snarl on his maw, the fur raising along his back. So, that was what had happened. As if he was surprised Saix had taken over, little s**t had always plotted, the question was, why had the others allowed him. Well, he was going to straighten this out, and if he had to, tear that little...

Wait, he hadn't noticed before, but it did seem very quiet here. It was a big castle, but surely the commotion would have attracted someone else by now. Now that he thought about it, it did seem odd that he had seen no one but Demyx.

"You're here alone? For how long?"

What the hell, -everyone- had disappeared? Again?! Not that he could say much, how long had he been gone again? Oh great, that meant Xemnas had disappeared as well, typical. Sent him on some stupid mission only to disappear before he could finish it. That's it, he was NEVER doing a mission for Xemnas again...EVER.

((WOOHOO registered Xigbar! 83 ..though a song change will be good yes XDD))

How long -had- it been? It seemed like so long ago that all of them had been gathered in this castle.
"I....a long time, heh?.."
He really didn't want to think about just how long. It was just so -lonely- and boring and...gah! Well at least someone was back now!
"You left...and I think Super----he's not with you is he?"
Xemnas gave Demyx the creeps. While he was happy for Xigbar's return he wouldn't be as happy if the other returned as well.

He shook it off, had to keep giving his report!
"And then the others just kind of...wandered off. Saix had us looking for the reports and also new recruits because he said you and Xe---Superior were gone."

...Honestly it was a wonder the castle was still standing with just Demyx there watching it.
PostPosted: Wed May 27, 2009 10:05 pm

((lol, yes, hmm, maybe something metal. Though it's hard to think with Viva la Vida stuck in my head))

"No, he's not with me."

Xigbar shook his head, it was a good thing to, or he might have been in such a bad mood he'd have destroyed the castle himself on his return. Not that he actually disliked Xemnas, he just didn't like to be around him for long, oh how Xemnas tormented him.

"Like I said, Saix doesn't know as much as he thinks he does."

Saix didn't know jack s**t so far as he was concerned. Snort, he had probably just been waiting for the chance, and then had ended up leaving as well, how very typical.

His tail twitched, a paw tapping on the nearby table with his thoughts. Later, much later.

"Sorry for leaving you alone so long, kid, good job taking care of things."

Hey, he hadn't actually burned down the castle had he? Though how many times he had nearly done so, well, he didn't want to know.

Demyx had been ready to continue rambling about Saix, but the compliment brought a grin to his maw instead.
"Thank you sir! I tried to keep everything in place if--for -when- you guys came back!"
Though clearly, some things had been moved around. Oh well.

Now..what to do what to do---ah yes!
"Xigbar, look what I can do!"
Grinning more, Demyx quickly formed one of the dark portals, stepped into it..and was gone. ...At least for a few moments, before said portal reformed up by the ceiling and the sitarist dropped out of it.
...Was he actually -laughing-?

Number nine dropped back down to the floor. He really wasn't in any danger, afterall his wings could have caught him if he had ported up too high. But thankfully he was much better at this trick than he had been when Xigbar first taught him to use the nothingness inside to create the portals.
"I've been practicing!"

((decided on Life is Beautiful))

"That's great, kid, I always knew you'd get the hang of it."

To another he may have seemed unenthusiastic, but perhaps his young friend knew better. That for Xigbar, that small smile tugging at the edge of his maw was indeed a sign of sincerity. Heh, he'd always had a soft spot Demyx. Maybe it was because he had always seen something the others did not, or maybe it was just the naivety that reminded him so much of what he himself had lost so long ago.

He had turned, one eye scouring the shelves of the kitchen, searching for whatever may have been left over, or whatever Demyx may have managed to restock. Hmm...

"Is there anything to eat in this place?"

Hmmm, maybe it'd be better to go to the town to get food. Was the town even still there? Had everyone disappeared there as well?

Demyx did understand. Or maybe he was just too excited to notice. Either way, the apparent lack of enthusiasm didn't bother him.

"There's some burnt cookies..."
Demyx grinned nervously, rubbing the back of his head with a paw.
"Other than that not much...I was going to go out to restock a bit today though!"

The town itself seemed to still hold at least some life, though Demyx avoided it when he could. The castle, while big and empty, was at least a -familiar- place. Outside? ...Not so much.
