Yay!
After trying out once, I finally made section leader for the marching band.
I am saxophone section leader.
Anyone else make it?
Or even drum major?

Im also the band president (which in my band, is higher than DM!!)

I am also Secretary which means I get to take role. haha.

I became section leader this last semester at college. It is an awesome experience. It also kinda scary knowing your responsible for your entire section.

I was the Trombone section leader, and along with my pals, Tubaman and This Guy, we basically co-owned the low-brass section.

This is my second year in a row being Flute Section leader. I got a lot of crap about it from the Junior's and the only Senior. Ha. The Senior actually called me over the summer to b***h about how I didn't deserve it.
I made it as a Sophomore and how I'm a Junior.
biggrin I'm also Band Historian. I get to take all the pictureeesss.
My goal is to this year be WoodWind captain because basically every other woodwind can't marching to save their lives. It's kind of sad. I was one of the best marchers as a Freshman.
However my boyfriend out ranks me this year. razz We were both section leaders last year but this year he's a Drum Major. And is currently away at Drum Major Camp... Boo :'(

I tried for section leader, but was beat out by a senior. I thinkwe tied and were based on seniority. Senior or sophomore-usually senior>.> I'm trying again this year. Whether I make SL or not, I also plan on trying for DM for my senior year

Hopefully I get section leader next year, after my current section leader graduates. But, if I can get assistant drum major, I would like that too!

section leader of the flutes!!and on of my freshmen flute buddies beat of the seniors,the junior,the sophomores to be section leader and i play better than she does next year shall be fun....has any one noticed that we get blamed for everything because we are the section leaders?
