Pilate found her self wandering the plains again, away from home. Not that she didn't like her home, but that she was a wander at heart and couldn't stay put in one place for to long. The cheetah would go crazy if she had to sit still.
Today she wasn't being so bad. She was still in a pretty good distance from home and no where that was so far away that she'd get lost and worry her big adopted lion sister. Nope. Today was all about the sunshine and rolling in a strange part of Africa. Grass rolling was fun and helped with itches.
Thats just what Pilate did, roll around in the grass making a game of it. She laughed and giggled as she rolled, but stopped to go investigate a lizard that had passed her by. The green cheetah girl had a distaste for their meat now , thanks to her sister, but she did love to stalk them. Pilate was , after all, a hunter at heart.
The little thing made it self at home on a rock. Pilate smiled and ducked down low watching her prey. Watching and watching, laying in wait. She was a but a shadow in the great plains.

A green pelted male wasn't too far away. The cheetah was sneaking along, following a little rabbit. So sue him, Deror was bored. He'd grown up by himself and was still very often, by himself. Simple things like this were how he amused himself. He 'hunted' small critters. He never hurt them, Deror's heart was too big, and he was too kind. The small critters didn't really stand a chance against his speed and stamina, so he kept the animals he actually hunted for food to the larger variety.
Grinning, Deror snuck closer to the rabbit hopping along its merry way, oblivious to the cheetah paws that were about to enclose around it. Deror's tail swished with anticipation, and he wiggled down, haunches in the air, teal green eyes danced with amusement. 1...2...
3! He sprung to leap on the rabbit (carefully of course!), and just before his paws clasped around it, he spotted the little green female, all caught up in her own hunt. He hadn't noticed her, and she took him by surprise. All grace gone, he crashed in a heap, the rabbit skittering away. He'd probably scared off her prey too. "...Damn."

Pilate hadn't noticed the other until her lizard had disappeared off the rock. Something had scared it away. She blinked before focusing her bright pink eyes on the source of the lizards fear.
She had never met and adult male cheetah, but had met an adult female. She knew what she was staring at. The cheetah cub stood up, revealing her self more, and sat down. Keeping her distance so that she could bolt if this new face wasn't friendly.
"You scared my lizard, " There was no anger or negative feelings in the way she said it, just point blank. "Your a cheetah too," and it was state the obvious day for Pilate. "And green," Yup, state the obvious day indeed.
She sat there and took in his image, a cheetah, green, adult male. Could they maybe some how have some kind of relation? Pilate shook the hopeful thinking out of her head and gave the stranger a smile, "No worries though. I wasn't hunting for food. What are you doing in the plains today?"

"I did.." He looked sheepish. "I'm really sorry about that..." Deror got to his feet, looking over at the smaller female. "But if its any consolation, my rabbit got away too?" He gave her a small smile and sat down, curling his long tail around his feet. Deror was a pretty friendly guy, once you knew him. He just didn't know that many other creatures.
His smile widened as she said she wasn't hunting the lizard for food. "Me either! I just like to chase them." He settled down, still smiling over at her. "I'm not really doing much, just chasing some rabbits. My name's Deror. What's yours?"

Pilate smiled, he seemed friendly enough. "Pilate, pleased to meet you Deror," She gave a nod of her head before scrambling to her feet and running up close to the stranger. Naive, yes that was the word. To be so trusting after such few words were spoken, very naive.
Big pools of pink peered up at the grown male. She smiled again and pawed at him playfully, "Your green!" She shouted with glee and rolled onto her back shouting, "Green, green green!"
Surely, her actions must have seemed odd to any observer who was watching and did not know the cub. Pilate had always believed she was the only green cheetah, yet here before her was another just like her.
"Are there more? Where did you come from? Are you my dad? Are you my brother? Are you a god?" Her mouth shot out questions faster then a machine gun as she ran back and forth, across the strangers back. She had so many questions.

"Pilate is a nice name..." he started to say when she bolted over to him. He was a bit surprised, but pleased that she seemed to like him. "Yup, I'm definitely green," he confirmed, his eyes widening as she started to roll about. He ventured an awkward laugh, then tried to keep up with her rapid fire questions.
"Uh.. There could be? I came from over there..." He was failing at keeping up. "Pretty sure I'm not your father or brother, and I can definitely say I'm not a god." He paused. Did he get everything? More importantly, did he get it all right?

The excitement drained from Pilates face a little. She was let down, not much, but it showed.
"Ohhh," Her ears flattened some in shame for bombarding this stranger with such silly questions. But still, He was green.
"From over there?" Her paw pointed over to where the other had mentioned, "Are they hiding?" Pilate looked over and tilted her head. She called out to no one, "YOU CAN COME OUT!!"
Her tail twitched a little when there was no response and her head dipped down. But still, her smile did not fade.

"Eh... You're the first green cheetah I've met," he said with a small shrug, thinking he'd done something wrong. She didn't look so happy any more... He didn't like that.
"But... If I'm green and you're green, there must be more green cheetahs right?" he offered, giving her an earnest smile. "I mean, it makes sense, right?"

Pilate gave the other a nod as the flame of hope re-lit through her body reaching her brain. With in a second, she was up and running around again.
"YOUR RIGHT!" She shouted, as she did a few short laps around the male. She only stopped because she tripped and almost fell on her face. But she laughed it off, "Your right! And and and your proof and Im proof and the possible cheetahs over there are proof, " She laughed motioning with her paw where the other had said he had come from.
"Either that or there is one cruel joke being played on us." Her face grew serious, for a second, before she giggled it off.
"So you were hunting a rabbit huh?" Her excitement didn't drain, but she tried to calm her self down with a subject switch. If Bui had seen how she had acted just then he'd probably be displeased. Why her mind was drifting what her cub hood friend would think of her was beyond the girls mind.

He gave her a small smile and nodded. He was glad that she seemed happy again, even if her hyperness scared him a little. "I haven't met very many others, but its definitely a possibility!" he agreed, watching her run around him.
He frowned a bit at the joke comment, then nodded. "Yeah, but I wasn't going to eat it."

If it was a rabbit, Pilate would have. She didn't say that out loud though, merely thought it. Being a cub though a rabbit was an alright sized prey.
" Nah, I wasnt gonna eat that lizard either..." Her mind trailed off for a second. She didn't have much interaction with adults to know what kind of stuff they liked to do or talk about.
"You want to go find another rabbit to stalk?" Her head tilted and her over sized ears followed suit, flopping to the side she tilted her head.

He smiled at her. That was really cute. "Rabbits are too easy for me to catch, its not really fair. I only stalk them for fun." Standing up, he gave a small nod. "Sure? If that's what you want to do? I don't really mind." He wasn't used to spending time with others.

"Easy? Yeah I suppose," She hadn't really thought about it like that before. But they weren't so hard, they didn't fight back. They ran, but so did she.
"Still we can bother them," A sadistic smile crossed her smile. The smile really looked awkward across her maw and came across as almost, goofy. "Lead the way~"

Deror was quite capable of hunting much larger prey himself. Chasing rabbits was just what he did for fun. He smiled at Pilate, she was a cute kid. "Alrighty, lets go see if we can find ourselves some bunnies to chase!"

Pilate nodded up at him, "Of course, " she grinned jestering for him to lead the way.
The cub hadn't smelt any rabbits on her travels to where ever they were now. The lizard and the cheetah were the only things she had even noticed.
