Zin was in her room, laying on her Rocket bed. She stared pointlessly at the dull gray of the steel ceiling. She had noticed that one of the bolts looked sort of like a zubat's face, but not really. She wasn't that interested. Zinnia had been asking the higher ranks, as well as fellow grunts, a lot of questions about the true motives of Team Rocket. The only answer she had received was 'shut up and go to your room'. Like a child, she was banished to the forbidding cell she called home.
Zinnia lifted a small, gloved hand over her face. She stared at it. She was a child, she knew, but she also knew what she wanted. She wanted to help pokemon, to be with pokemon. Didn't the others understand her need to know? She was losing confidence in Team Rocket; couldn't anyone reassure her that the Rocket's ideals were purely for the safety of the human and pokemon coexistence?
Zinnia turned over and onto her stomach. Zyk, who had mastered sleeping right side up, was perched on her nightstand, sound asleep. When Zinnia crawled groggily to the foot of her bed, she saw Shadow curled up on her dresser. The Mew was not asleep; her luminous purple eyes watched Zin's every move. Zinnia had never seen Shadow Mew asleep. "Hello," Zinnia whispered, so as not to wake Zyk.
Shadow Mew informed Zinnia telepathically. Shadow Mew cocked her head to one side, as if listening.
Zin thought that Shadow was looking a bit troubled, but she could have imagined it. To satisfy her own curiosity, Zin crossed the room and pulled open the door, sticking her head out into the hall.

The hallway seemed quiet. Mundane, with the sense of rest floating amongst the atmosphere. Medley was sliding foot by foot down the corridor, her socked feet making light and swift motions as she tip toed down the hallway. Her shoes were held within the three membered hands of Catherine as she floated after her, keeping up with her pace. "Where...the heck is it?" complained Medley in a whisper towards Catherine as she illuminated the hallway in a wild variety of dark purples and grays due to her markings.
The petite Mewtwo just sighed. Crouching towards her, she mentally transmitted her words to Medley. "" noted Catherine as she nodded her head to reassure herself. ""
Before Catherine could go on and correct Medley more, the young girl pointed her index finger up to her mouth in gesture to mean quiet. "There is someone peeking out of the door over there..." murmured Medley as she eyed the appearance of Zinnia's head. Catherine cringed slightly, as the detection of another Psychic being caused her head to ring. "" Catherine added, dropping Medley's shoes to the floor as she clenched her head to get her thoughts straight. ""
Medley's face went from curious to worried. Was that individual dangerous?

Zinnia turned her head the other way and froze, eyes widening. There was a person with a Mewtwo over there! Zinnia had seen only one other girl with a Mewtwo, and those people were not them. She had never seen them before, in fact.
Her surprise fading, Zinnia stepped out of the room and made to close the door, but Shadow streaked out just before she could. Zinnia smiled at her mew, then shut the metal door with a soft click.
Shadow Mew's eyes narrowed at the sight of the Mewtwo. She had suspected that it could have been that type of pokemon, but now she was sure. Something about Mewtwos made Shadow uneasy.
Zinnia, completely oblivious to the uneasy feelings that were radiating from all sides, waved. "Hi," she whispered loudly, keeping her voice down for Zyk's sake.

Medley blinked her yolk colored eyes. Another girl about her age was around he bend of the hallway, and waving with a toned down salutations? Seeing as there was nothing to be worried about, Medley removed herself from crouching and stood up. Nodding her head, she replied with a wave in return. "Hello." she said, eyes widening profusely to the sight of the darkened shape that seemed to be with the other.
Catherine blinked as she slowly brought herself straight. The ringing had calmed down, but could still be heard as the Mewtwo inched closer. "" questioned Catherine to Medley as she turned her head towards her. ""
"Not really." replied Medley as she shifted her weight to her left leg. "But she certainly seems to be friendly." Catherine giggled, circling Medley as she took another step closer. Eye furrowing slightly, Medley stared at the female Mewtwo. "And what are you so content about?" questioned Medley as she puffed out her cheeks slightly. Catherine giggled again. "" Medley grunted at Catherine's comment as she walked closer and stood at least a meter away from the other. "Who're you?" she asked lightly, eyelids fluttering half closed.

"Zin," Zinnia said promptly. "And this is Shadow Mew," she gestured at the mew, who was staring fixedly at Catherine, her expression unreadable. "Who are you?" the blue haired girl asked back. "I haven't seen you around the base. Ever. Are you new?" Zin asked all these questions with rising hope. Perhaps, at last, she would gain a human friend within the base?
Shadow Mew narrowed her eyes. Catherine was giving her a funny feeling, and Shadow did not think it was just because she was another psychic. However, Shadow refrained from trying to enter Catherine's mind to determine whether she was safe; she had no idea how the Mewtwo would react to that. So she merely stared tensely.

"Medley." replied Medley as she threw a strand of brown hair out of her face. "I wouldn't say I am new...But...That I am in and out of the base a lot. Busy, would cover three-fourths of the reason..." Medley's eyes danced from Zin to Shadow Mew, wondering how such a female earned such a creature. However, she was stuck with a genetically altered version of the species. It would be best to not go deeper than just skin deep for now until she learned more about the other.
Catherine giggled, smiling at Shadow Mew as if she was some kind of toddler giggling at an older adult. Her tail flicked here or there, curiosity building in her with every passing second. Finally, the Mewtwo could not hold in her urge anymore and jumped in front of Zin. "" she cried, wiggling her bum in the air as she circled the Mew and its accomplice. "" Before Catherine could continue, Medley tugged her back and growled. "Don't go off and tell others our business!" whispered Medley hastily to the other. Catherine's mouth just shriveled up, meaning she would keep her mouth shut.

Zin grinned as the Mewtwo began speaking to her. "Hey, you talk just like Shadow does!" she said, nearly forgetting to keep her voice down. "She also speaks using telepathy. I've met one other Mewtwo, but he didn't talk at all, so I wasn't sure if..." Zinnia shook her head. "It's nice to meet you, Catherine!" Apparently, Zin did not notice that Catherine had been cut off by Medley.
Shadow Mew relaxed a little. It seemed that Catherine was harmless after all-- would a secret weapon bounce around so cheerily? She floated forward a few inches, so that she was directly above Zinnia's right shoulder. She nodded a solemn greeting to their new acquaintances.
"Were you looking for something? Want us to help?" Zinnia inquired, eager to make friends.

Wincing to the loud uproar to the other, Medley sighed and nodded her head. "Yes, I am looking for something." she said with with a nod of her head. "Do you happen...to know the way to this bases research lab?" Medley averted her gaze for a moment to see Catherine wandering a head for a moment. The Mewtwo was busy looking ahead, making sure there was no one else ahead. Sighing, Medley returned back to Zin. "I need to obtain something from there. That is all."
Catherine nodded her head towards Medley in reassurance that everything was okay. Medley smiled lightly. "Care to join me?" she offered.

"Yeah!" Zinnia said cheerfully. "I don't know exactly where it is... I'm not allow-- I mean, I've never been needed down there before-- that is..." Zinnia cleared her throat loudly. "I usually do out-of-doors work. The important stuff." Zinnia seemed to swell as she said this. "It's somewhere around... that way," Zinnia pointed vaguely in a random direction. "It's downstairs, I think." Zinnia glanced at Shadow, who neither confirmed nor denied Zinnia's guess. "Yeah."
Zinnia looked more closely at her new friends. The girl looked to be around Zinnia's age, though Zin had never been good at guessing ages. The Mewtwo-- Catherine-- had lots of interesting markings. She was smaller than the other Mewtwo Zinnia had met, though Shadow was still smaller. Oh! That reminded her, Zinnia hadn't checked with the mew to see if those people were okay. "Would it be alright with you, Shadow, to go look?" Zin asked innocently.
In all truth, Shadow had not dared attempting to enter either of the strangers' minds to read their intentions-- Normally, people and pokemon did not even realize that Shadow had connected her mind with theirs, but a psychic pokemon and a human who made regular contact with a psychic would most certainly notice. As she was still unsure as to how they would react to her mental scan, she had left them alone. It was most likely okay, but she could not be 100% sure.
<... Be on your guard,> Shadow said privately to Zinnia, and left it at that.

Catherine turned about back to Medley and nodded her head again. Medley took the second signal to mind, her paperwork was definitely somewhere in the base. Turning back to Zin, Medley smiled. "Lead the way." she said in a nonchalant voice.
Turning back towards the female Mewtwo, Medley sighed. They have been going from base to base, stealing any documentation of her ever being created and destroying it. This was the third base they have visited and successfully gotten in without getting caught. Unfortunately, it was also the base with the screwy super computer withholding most information about the Rocket's projects in Zatao. Medley could get passed a simple fire wall, but this would be hell for her to hack. But for now, she would concentrate getting there first.

"Right! Follow me!" Zinnia said, and started down the hall in the direction opposite of where she had originally pointed. She had no idea where the research lab was, so she had decided to just wander around until she found some stairs that went down-- the lab probably was in the basement, after all.
Shadow Mew asked mildly.
"No," Zinnia whispered back. "Let him sleep..." Zinnia turned around a corner and spotted an elevator. "Ooh, these are fun!" she said loudly, skipping to the unamused steel doors. Zinnia confidently pressed the button that called the elevator up.

Following after her, Medley smiled to the enthusiasm of the other. Waiting patiently, Medley tapped her foot rhythmically as she folded her hands up to her bosom. Catherine was away from them, scouring different hallways for detection purposes. The Rockets that were nestled inside their rooms held different thoughts as she read their mind waves. One was discretely awake and thinking about his family while another was dreaming a provocative dream.
Many of the thoughts made her giggle, but the Mewtwo returned back to Medley after the elevator made a toned ding to show it had reached. Medley stepped inside, followed by Catherine who took a seat towards the rear. Sighing, Medley beckoned Zin in. "So, how old are you?" she asked, making conversation.

"Thirteen!" lied Zin. She was really only twelve, but thirteen sounded more impressive. Zinnia twiddled her thumbs and squirmed in her seat, smiling serenely. The sensation of a moving elevator quite obviously pleased her.
Shadow had landed on a seat before the elevator started moving. She curled up into a fluffy black cushion, never taking her eyes off of Catherine and Medley.

Medley felt as if her stomach was in her throat as the elevator began to go down. She was never fond of the up-down feeling that comes with being in an elevator. It always made her feel nauseous and light headed. To her, it was horrible. Nodding her head as she rubbed her temple, Medley replied, "How interesting. I am twelve. Must be nice to be in your teens."
Catherine was sitting peacefully, falling asleep on herself every little while. Every time the elevator shifted and cranked as it went down, it caused the Mewtwo to awake from her temporary slumber. As her markings glowed within the somewhat shaded darkness of the elevator, Catherine sighed. She calmed herself down to try and prevent from illuminating the entire elevator, but her intricate markings just brightened.

"Really? You're twelve? Me too!" she said rather louder than necessary. "I was just kidding when I said I was thirteen. I will be next year, though!" Zinnia happily swung her legs, looking all around the dull elevator. "I wish the doors would open while we were still moving," she said wistfully. "I want to know what it looks like..."
Similar to Catherine's markings, Shadow's bright purple eyes glowed slightly in the dark. As they went deeper and deeper, the elevator gradually got colder and colder. Shadow's eyes got brighter until a soft purple glow lit her face.
