She grinned to herself at the thought; it was exciting, despite it being a little scary!
She halted, lifting her head as she sniffed the air - even the smell of the forest is different at night! Its more humid, and it doesn't smell as sweet as the air in the morning. She then continued walking, happily exploring the undergrowth before something caught her eye; was that light filtering through the side? She frowned, looking puzzled for a moment... Normally, the forest is so dense that light hardly filters in from the top at night, much less from the side!
Curious, the filly pranced towards the light, and leapt out of the bushes into a relatively small clearing.

It was a brilliant evening! The moon was bright and spherical, sending rays of eerie light filtering through the leaves overhead. 'Vhat an ideal day for another of Bandit's adventures!' Charlotte placed her hooves carefully through the underbrush in an attempt to muffle unwelcome, self-induced sounds. She was sneaky.
Suddenly, she heard a twig crack. And it wasn't from below her own hooves! Charlie's head swung around swiftly, suspiciously, imitating something she thought a bandit would do. Her eyes narrowed, her hooves were planted a way apart, braced for danger!
Then she saw it! It was a- a- a filly about her age. Charlotte huffed silently, glaring at the other foal. Well, she might as well interact with her... But first she'd have to get the other back for ruining her fun! Of course!
Lowering her head like a stalking predator, Charlie picked up her pace into a sneaking trot, following Brioso. The filly was maneuvering herself into a clearing, 'of course!' Charlotte now ducked back into the brush, moving faster to get into the clearing unheard and unsighted first. A giddy anticipation hit her when she'd made it, hiding behind the bush that stood between Brioso and the clearing.... Only a moment now....
And there! When Brioso leaped from the bushes, so did Charlotte, yowling in a tone she hoped would be enough to spook the filly that so matched the midnight sky! "Argggghhhhhhhhhuuuuuuuuuuoooo!"

As she looked around the clearing, her nose had picked up the faint scent of another creature... Of course, although she had anticipated the arrival of the said creature, Brioso was not expecting such a 'flashy' entrance. Part of her was spooked by the stranger's sudden appearance and loud yell, but despite her racing heartbeat, the filly was somehow able to remain looking as calm and composed as she was able to manage.
After all, what sort of heroine will she be if she gets startled so easily?
"H-Hello," Brioso frowned at her shaky voice and cleared her throat, taking in a deep breath before giving the other filly a grin. Then, she trotted over so that they were closer to each other, to take a closer look at the filly, "Hello to you too! The name's Brioso... What's your name?"
She paused, looking expectantly at the dark-colored foal; Brioso had a million questions to ask, but it was only polite to ask for her name first!

What a party pooper. Charlotte snorted, rolling her eyes, 'she should have been scared.' But the other filly seemed hesitant to speak. There was definitely fright there... What good was it if it didn't show, though? She stepped back when Brioso stepped forward, bracing herself offensively once more.
'Brioso, huh? Vell I von't be a fool.' "Didn't your mommy teach you to keep your personal stuff to yourself?" She smirked at her own cleverness, staring down the indigo girl before her.
'Vhy is she looking at me like that?' Charlie flicked her tail, puffing out her chest and raising her head into a knightly posture. She had to keep in mind that she, Charlotte the Bandit, came upon Brioso and not the other way around. But did the other filly really have to be so difficult?

"Well, she didn't," Brioso answered matter-of-factly, a little taken aback by the other filly's reply. She frowned, blinking at the her before she raised an eye-brow, tilting her head slightly to her right out of habit, "However, I did learn that it is only polite to introduce yourself after hearing the introduction of another... Plus if you had really, really wanted to keep to yourself, you would have just gone another way instead of jumping out at me."
She pouted a little, realizing that she was starting to miss home sub-consciously. The way she spoke just now was a little similar to the way her mother talked to her whenever she misbehaved when she was younger... She sighed softly to herself, looking up again at the dark colored filly, "If you don't want to tell me your name, I'll follow what a friend of mine did and call you... Uh..." She scanned the other filly, before her eyes stopped at the markings on her hind.
"Skull butt!"

Charlotte narrowed her eyes at the silly name that came out of nowhere. 'Skull butt?!' How dare she. Charlie was only showing her proper matter when meeting a stranger. Sure, a name is just a name, but names open up conversation about other personal facts.
"My name is not 'Skull Butt'. That is a very rude thing to call someone, by the vay. My name is Bandit." Fine. If this Brioso character wanted to be difficult, Charlotte might as well give her her "codename". That's what strangers got. That's what strangers deserved.
Charlie's head rose pridefully to emphasize the truth in this nickname. 'Pff. Skull Butt. How disrespectful.'
Where she failed to get her back before, Charlotte would get her back eventually. This might take a little plotting, but the ebony filly had confidence that more personal information of Brioso's would make its way to her. After all, they were on name basis now, even if Charlotte's given name was but her nickname, Brioso didn't know that. She didn't have to know.

The filly giggled, "A friend of mine called me 'Jewelled Sun', but she was looking at my butt the whole time." To demonstrate this, the female half turned, gesturing towards a silver sun marking on her hind. She paused, turning back before frowning a little, "Well, my intention wasn't to be rude, although I guess 'Skull Butt' isn't as cool as 'Jewelled Sun'... Okay, how about Skulls then?"
Brioso blinked, grinning at the other filly as she gave a quick nod of her head, acknowledging her name, "See, that wasn't so hard! Anyway, you were rude for not giving a proper introduction just now. What's rude to you might not apply to me, and I respect that. Sorry for calling you 'Skull Butt', Bandit... I just think that a name is something important, and didn't feel comfy not addressing you by it."
Part of Brioso was glad for the name, while the other part of her wondered why it was so difficult to get a name out of the other filly... Don't she like her own name? It was because of her fondness of her own name that she was able to say it proudly - it reminded her of her parents too, the way they called her.
