If you would love to have Oukou meet your porcelain, feel free to contact me either pm or on AIM. My screen name is MeDevilCat, however you will have to let me know before hand. I have it set so I don't get random ims from people.
So I will appear offline to you, until I add you onto my buddy list.

Name| Oukou - 櫻紅 Born On| 10-8 t703 Birthplace| East Feather, Rinkoku Age| 17 Height| 60" Eyes| Reddish-brown Hair| Dark Sun Sign| Merchant Moon Sign| Cup Mind| Dreaming Name| Wood Talent| Design of outfits and accessories Occupation| Tailor (in training) Health| Strangely spotted skin Spouse| ------- Abilities| Rather intelligent with a knack for color and design; has never been very good at magic, though. Likes| Bright and bold colors, people who are proud of their uniqueness, people who stick to their morals Dislikes| Hedonism, selfishness, people who are so determined to be unique that they disregard others' feelings Interests| Visual genres of the beautiful-arts, moral philosophy Romantic Inclinations| Would dearly love to be courted by an intelligent and good-hearted man, but she can't seem to attract the interest of anyone Personality| Oukou often comes across to strangers as cold, imperious, and even disdainful to strangers; an "artiste" who turns up her nose at convention and propriety and yet sneers at those who take a bohemian lifestyle to mean that they can indulge in anything they wish, many people dismiss her as snobby and uncaring.
This is really not an accurate description of her personality at all; it is true that she is sometimes a little bit cool or quick-tempered, but on the whole she is unfriendly not out of a dislike of people but because she is shy and defensive, even fearful. Seeing how casually abusive people like her mother -- whose pleasure-loving, light-hearted, gregarious personality Oukou does not want to emulate -- can be, she has developed a guarded personality, only showing kindness and indulgence to those who prove themselves sincere and trustworthy. ... However, her extremely high standards -- for her own morals, for her artwork, and for others -- prevent many people from reaching that level of trust with her.
However, as she is maturing (and also as her female friends tell her that no males are courting her because she is so scary) she has begun to realize that she may be overdoing things; perhaps she ought to relax and become a bit more tolerant of others' moral failings when the issues are minor. After all, she does care about others a great deal -- but actually carrying out kindly nurturing herself? She isn't quite sure how.
It would be easier to try being more gentle and easy-going, though, if she didn't have such a reputation in this land for being fierce and exacting...

Along the base of the wings are interesting rune marking, the feathers go from white, to gray to a gray blue at the bottom of the feather.
Brief History: Virendra is a white tiger angel known as a Zephaire Angel. She came to Aylana just when Aylana thought there was nothing in life to live for. Its wasn't until her cousin Ernia figure out that Virendra was mute and deaf that everything change. Aylana became even more protective of Virendra; she enrolled Virendra into ballet class so she may have another way of speaking. Not even the most Lucid of Ladies can defy the power of a cemented marriage; she cannot mate with a man not her husband without risking her own life and sanity. And yet, in the secret inner circles of the nobility, this does not stop some women, who chose their husbands based on his breeding or political advantages, from committing other types of infidelities.
Ouka, the Low Dreaming youngest son of a Lucid noblewoman, became the husband of an ambitious young secretary, Kousei, partly for his beauty and partly for his sweet nature, but mainly for his mother's rank. Soon after he provided her with two children, one girl and one boy, he was sent away to assist with the management of her newly-acquired orchards in western Rinkoku. Kousei never saw him again, even as he faithfully wrote her a letter every month for 10 years following. It was not Kousei but her eldest child, Oukou, who opened and read them -- Kousei was busy watching beautiful young boys dance, flirting with them, and running her fingers through her hair when she was not occupied with work.
It did not matter to Oukou that her mother's only mate was still Ouka; as the years past and the two children remained relatively neglected, raised by servants and teachers rather than their mother, Oukou's resentment towards her mother grew and grew. A Lady like Kousei, operating within the nominal bounds of propriety, class, and noble behavior, and yet carelessly hurting others, exploiting her power, throwing true compassion aside in exchange for some meaningless concept of "noble benevolence," came to represent to Oukou everything that was sick and corrupt in upper-class Imperial society.
Therefore, as Oukou became a youth, she came to scorn rank and education, refusing to follow her mother and instead pursuing her interest in beautiful arts, specifically tailoring and clothing design -- a commoner occupation. She semi-purposely threw her Naming Ceremony, taking on the designation of Dreaming Wood, and immediately left her mother's house, even if it meant leaving behind her shy and delicate younger brother who did not understand why Oukou hated their mother so. She moved to the Capital of Toukoku and there banded together with a group of other young tailors; rather than apprenticing to a master-tailor as is "proper" and "correct," they declared that they would be self-taught and come up with new fashions and new ways of thinking about clothing design.
... Things have not been easy. They lacked the connections and experience of apprentices under master-tailors; they did not see much success until last year, in which Lady Hiwa noticed the extraordinary colors of a dress worn by a lesser noble who had commissioned the collective earlier. After Hiwa received a jacket made by the group, customers have been pouring into their little shop, and they are finally beginning to get the attention they deserve as artists.

It was just an ordinary cold at first; the members of the house had forgotten to replentish their supply of rice, and so, exasperated, Oukou hurried out in the rain one evening to buy some. The next day, she felt unwell, but continued the outfit she was working on; the day after that, she was too feverish and weak to sit up, and stayed in her bed all day. Her illness grew progressively worse; finally, the other tailors brought in the best doctor they could afford, but the medicine he prescribed did not seem to work. It was inexplicable and extremely frightening; young, healthy Oukou, who had been their fearless leader, was perhaps dying of illness before their eyes.
Then, a stranger stopped by their shop -- a young man, yes, handsome and baby-faced, but claiming to be a doctor -- and asked to see their patient. Though rather delirious with fever, Oukou vaguely remembers him feeling her pulse, examining her freckles (which, yes, had been there since she was a youth,) and even opening the front of her robes a little to check her chest, which shocked (and maybe excited) her. Finally, he told the others that her condition was curable, but she needed to be moved to a different climate immediately -- the cold, stuffy air of Toukoku was terrible for her, and the balmy winds of southern Bukoku were what was needed for her recovery.
They wrapped their hallucinating friend up in blankets and sick-robes, packing her into the back of a wagon for transport to the harbor, where she and the doctor... what was his name...? to catch a ship to the northern isles. Oukou could only vaguely make out a gray sky, her friends' concerned faces, and the doctor's soothingly cool hands before darkness overcame her and she slept, seemingly for years.
When she rose out of her delirium, she found herself completely well -- clear-headed, comfortable-bodied, a little bit stiff, but rather like her old self. However, she was certainly not in Bukoku. She awoke in the corner of a room, lying on top of a great pile of brightly-dyed, fancy fabrics, the sort she loved to use for clothes in her shop, facing a small, poorly-constructed bed. This was no coastal sanitarium, but rather a tiny little house in Barton, and strange and intoxicating smells were leaking out from under the door of the room...

Hitsuga - confused - At first I thought he was the doctor that helped me. But now, I know he isn't. He couldn't help me at all. I still don't understand him, but he not as bad as I thought. Although I don't like how he managed to get me emotional. Why did he have to be so nice....? I don't know how it happen, but I ended up liking him for awhile. I think I have gone crazy....
Melody - sweatdrop - A young girl, who kept telling me I'm in a world called Gaia. She seems very nice, but I'm just not sure. Everything she said was just to much to handle.
Nusumu - 3nodding - She seem very nice, and a great cook from what her friend speaks. I wouldn't honestly mind meeting her again, but I think I might have told her too much about myself.

Upon entering the store, your eyes are drawn to the the pure simplicity of the design. The lines all lead to the window, which offers a wonderful view outside. Above it hangs an ivy pant, who's tendrils dip down trying to get a look outside. A bonsai perches on the desk, giving the room an air of peace and tranquility. The bamboo plant by the door gives the feel of welcome and serenity. A display of swords above the door lends the entire design a more courageous feel, and the warm pastel colors of the walls and floor are broken only by a cousin of soft greens and yellows. The desk that functions as the shops main business area is sturdy and well used, with a book sitting center of the longest portion, and a cup of pens sitting on the shortest, below a pair of shelves filled with books and other items for the shop. Behind the desk hangs a large info board filled with orders and deadline dates. Beside it a scroll holding important notes for the day.
Behind a door at the back of the shop is an entirely different world. Once you cross the threshold into Oukou's living and work space, the same serene feeling seems to shift into a more active pulse. Not quite cluttered as much as lived in, Oukou's living space is organized and while not entirely neat, doesn't give a feeling of clutter or unkempt. Mat in the center of the room is covered in design books and other reading material with a soft cushion on which to sit and read. Her work bench is covered with threads, pins, needles and a sewing machine. Her bed, for the most part unmade, gives a sense not so much as one who doesn't care to be tidy, but a restless soul who doesn't put much stand in sleeping. A large hanging area that has been set aside for random things is tidy and well organized, and it is more than likely that if the wardrobe next to her workbench were opened, the clothing inside would have been arranged in perfect order.
