2D's FAQ

1. What happened to 2D's eyes?
Murdoc did. While 2D was working at Uncle Norm's Organ Emporium Murdoc decided to break into the shop, ramming it with his car. He drove right into 2D's head who somehow managed to survive but was given a fractured eyeball. The other eye went when Murdoc sent 2D flying through his windshield because apparently Murdoc is a horrible driver. This fractured his other eye. As a side note, 2D gets terrible migraines no doubt related to this injury and it's commonly believed that he is addicted to pain killers.

2. Why are 2D and Murdoc friends then?
Part of Murdoc's punishment for breaking into the shop was he had to sit with 2D while he was in a coma. We all know that 2D isn't the brightest of bulbs and the way he sees it he owes Murdoc his life. Yeah... wtf indeed.

3. Why is 2D missing his front teeth?
Murdoc again. The story goes that 2D wanted to come with Murdoc to an interview but Murdoc didn't want him to go so he punched him. What a friend!

4. Is it 2D or 2-D?
Both are officially used. 2D is most common but the Clint Eastwood video uses 2-D.

5. Who is Paula?
Paula was the original fourth member of the band. She was greasy, dirty, just generally gross and nasty. She was also 2D's girlfriend, that is until Russel caught Murdoc and Paula having sex in the bathroom. She was quickly replaced with Noodle. (Real reason was that the creators liked Noodle better. Paula was never an official part of Gorillaz.)

6. Is that the only girlfriend that Murdoc stole from 2D?
As a matter of fact no, it is not. He also was the reason for 2D and Rachel Stevens (real life member of S Club 7) breaking up. Murdoc never was able to talk Rachel into sleeping with him, but he tried quite hard and it eventually broke the pair up.

7. Is 2D's hair really blue?
Judging by an e-mail found on 2D's computer stating that there several spikey blue haired children running around in his home town I'd say yes. At least a few of them have been proven to be his. And no it isn't just you, his hair is sometimes purple.

8. Is 2D his real name?
No. 2D stands for "two dents", referring of course to his eyes... or lack thereof. His real name is Stuart Tusspot, aka Stu-Pot.

Russel's FAQ

1. Okay so what is going on with Russel's possession?
Russel was posessed by the ghost (though in the official bio it suggests there was more than one) of his good friend who was shot in a drive by. Despite the fact that in the videos it looks like Del was often the cause of trouble for Russel and his bandmates, he was very happy to still be able to remain close to his departed friend.

2. Is Russel still possessed?
No. When the band seperated before making their second album Russel had Del exorcised.

3. So why are his eyes still white?
Maybe Del ate his pupils, I don't know. But he HAS been exorcised so stop PMing me about it!

4. Is Russel the one rapping on the albums?
Nope that would be Del or any of the other guest artists that just love the Gorillaz. And the Gorillaz just love them too. ^^

5. I hear that Russel is protective of 2D yet he beats him up, what's with that?
Russel is protective when he needs to be. When he found Murdoc having sex with 2D's girlfriend (Paula) Russel broke Murdoc's nose. He'll also come to 2D's aid in interviews and sometimes try to stop Murdoc from beating the s**t out of the poor guy. Still, as you cans ee in some of the short cartoons, if 2D crosses him he will threaten his life (Jump the Gut), and he has no problem picking on 2D as well (Hey Our Toys Have Arrived).
He is also very protective over Noodle, but really everyone is, even Murdoc at times.

General Band FAQ

1. When is the movie coming out?
It's not. The exact details on the movie are sketchy, but it's been said that there won't be one. Whether the movie was just a bit of plot designed for the Gorillaz story or whether they just simply couldn't find a script they liked (I've heard both) is up in the air. Either way, it isn't happening.

2. What do you mean "a plot designed for the Gorillaz story"?
Between albums the Gorillaz were making a movie but it fell apart leaving each band member to go their seperate ways. I personally always thought the movie was simply made up for the sake of doing something with the band between albums but several people have told me that Damon and Jamie just never got a script they liked. If you have a link to an article where they address this PLEASE PM it to me.

3. But imdb.com says...
NO I SAY! Seriously imdb.com is NOT a place to go for reliable info. Go there to find out what movies your favorite actors are in but don't go there looking for reliable info. The website also says that Jamie is the voice of Murdoc which as I've already said, is not true!

1. How many albums do Gorillaz have out?
Well... technically two but... four. They have two studio albums, Gorillaz and Demon Days. They also have G-Sides which is their b-sides album, and Laika Come Home which is a remix album. Several singles have also been released of course.
