ok so i have a B.C. Rich Avenge SOB (son of beast) it has a single humbucker bridge pickup (the "bdsm") i was going to put a push pull knob on it and i was told that it couldnt be tapped. what would be a good B.C. Rich replacement pickup tht could be tapped?

I think the majority of Dimarzios can be tapped. The Deactivatro might be a good bet, or go EMG as others have stated.

I'd say Seymour Duncan. I think all but the Blackout can be coil tapped, so the hard part would just be finding the one that sounds best for what your playing. And if you're playing metal the SH-8 Invader or the SH-13 Dimebucker would work.
