Enzo waited for his next student patiently as he sat behind his desk. He had just managed to purchase himself a new game for his handheld system and was occupying himself with that. The ex-priest seemed rather content to while his time away on the silly little object even if the student never arrived, but he hoped they would. Files were scattered across the desk before him but he had reviewed them numerous times before and there were also bits of paperwork here and there. He was far behind mostly because he was not quite used to the idea of 'paperwork' or having to report anything to anyone (other than the High Priest once a month).
He let out a small disappointed sound as the 'game over' tune played. Now he'd have to start over, damn!

His first spiritual class...Dane wasn't sure what to make of it. He supposed he was a little excited, then again he would probably rather be back at home or out with a friend rather than here at the facility.
After being dropped off and told when his dad would be back the boy made his way into the building reading the jotted down directions to the specified room the class was in. He wondered how many other kids would be in the class, classes did have lots of kids right? The boy pondered all of these things as he absent mindedly made his way through the halls. Before he knew it he was standing in front of the door. Snapping out of his daze he knocked on the door before opening it and stepping in.

He was going to start the game over again when the student had wandered into the classroom. Enzo quietly drew open the desk of his drawer, put in the handheld system, and then closed the drawer once more as he stood up folding his hands before himself as he walked around his desk to greet his newest pupil. Dane was the only one in the class as generally classes were taught one-on-one to help the child in question instead of having to focus on gigantic groups and letting someone suffer due to the lack of attention.
"Ah, welcome," Enzo greeted with a smile, "glad you could make it. You are Dane, right?" It never hurt to double check.
"I'm Enzo Brandt your Spirituality teacher for today. Call me what you wish."

"Uh. yeah...I'm Dane," He confirmed. He wasn't entirely sure how you greeted a teacher, "So...am I late Enz- er...Mr. Bradned...Branted, I'm just gonna call you Mr. B how bout that?" Dane finally came to a conclusion, "I don't see any other students, aren't classes and stuff usually a lot bigger?" He asked unsure.
Dane shifted his weight from foot to foot, tugged at his Jimmy Johns shirt, and scratched his ear. He always did nervous little habits when he was confused or outside of his comfort zone. He felt kind of embarrassed that this was his first class and he was already fourteen. Dominic had brought home materials from the facility before to teach him what they wanted him to know, but now, some stranger was going to teach him. He wasn't sure about the whole ordeal.

"That's just fine, Dane," Enzo assured with a small chuckle as he moved toward a strange circle upon the classroom floor. "Hm? Oh, no these classes usually tend to be one on one to make sure you get the attention that you need and to be sure I can directly answer your questions," the ex-priest informed patiently as he waved for the young spawn to approach him.
"Do you know anything at all about the Spiritual Arts?" The orange haired man asked curiously as he peered at Dane over the rims of his glasses. It was a common question and at least he didn't assume he was the only one to ever teach the boy anything ever.

"Uhm, no, not really...this is the first time I've ever had to learn anything about them," Dane admitted following Mr. B and looking at the peculiar circle on the ground intently. His eyes kept bouncing from symbol to symbol, wondering what it all meant. He seemed interested in the subject at least, even if he didn't know much about it.

Enzo nodded slowly as he moved toward the center of the circle. It had taken him a while to build it but he had managed to get it all laid down the way he wanted it and his employers seemed okay with him marking up the floor so long as it wasn't permanent. He'd have to reset the symbols and things every few months but for the most part it suited his needs.
"Well I teach things a bit differently than most teachers but since it is your first lesson I suppose it won't be too much to worry about," Enzo laughed a bit as he rubbed his hands together, "anyhow, magic is governed by Four Major Elements. Under those elements are other elements and spells that do different things and give you certain abilities. We could sit and chat about that sort of thing for all our lives and never understand the full potential of it." The orange haired man said sagely as he peered up thoughtfully. "So we'll start simply by me asking you a simple question."
"Which element do you feel closest to? Earth, Wind, Fire, or Water?"

Dane nodded as the man spoke and paused for a long while after he asked the question, "Well...I know it's not air, fire is really no big deal...and earth is neat and all but water...I'm in water all the time, I definitely think it's that one," Dane said nodding. With all the time he spent swimming, how it could be any other element was beyond him.

Enzo nodded as the boy went over his option and then settled upon what he felt was his personal 'element'. It seemed so much better when the student picked it out by themselves; it made them closer to their magic than him picking it out for them. He chuckled lightly as he then spoke, "Alright, gonna ask you to repeat something after me. It's gonna seem cheesy as all get out, but that is how it works. Are you ready?"

"Sure, I'm ready," Dane replied. Oh great, something cheesy. The boy wondered just how cheesy Mr. B was talking. His interest was piqued though. He wanted to know just what saying this was going to do, and what else he'd be taught.

Enzo laughed a bit and nodded and spoke the phrase, "Nymphs of the waves I call out to thee, I am thy companion and thou art mine."
No one was really ready for the cheese fest that was the words that bound the soul to the chosen element. It wasn't like he picked those words himself and if it were up to Enzo you'd just announce your element and that was it. Ah well. At least they only had to say it once.
**After Dane repeats the words the circle gives off a sudden bright blue glow and the sound of waves crashing on the shore is heard throughout the classroom and then there would be silence...**
((Just a note of what will happen after the phrase is repeated. Feel free to include it into your post in some manner.))

"Seriously?...You weren't kidding that is cheesy," Dane said rolling his eyes unable to believe he'd actually be saying this, "Nymphs of the waves I call out to thee, I am thy companion and thou art mine."
Once the circle changed Dane could hear the waves he felt...connected. He wasn't sure about the whole thing, but he felt very at ease and he felt like there was nothing else around him but the sound of the ocean. He lost all form of joking nature at this feeling, he became serene and serious. Water really was his element, and he knew well enough to respect it.

The ex-priest chuckled at Dane's comment toward the phrase and simply nodded and waited for the repeat while he crossed his arms over his chest and observed just to make sure nothing horrible and out of the ordinary happened. All went off as it should and he watched with approval at Dane's reaction.
"Excellent. Now that's over you are ready to learn your first spell," Enzo seemed happy now that that odd little formality had taken place, "let's what we can do to get some water in here."
Enzo widened the space between himself and the spawn to one of the nodes upon the inner circle that he had made upon the floor. There was a brief incantation muttered barely heard and a stomp of a foot followed by a hand gesture. Suddenly the floor under that node was gone only to be replaced by water. Enzo knelt and splashed at surface of the water and with fingertips flicked some at Dane with a smirk, "This will do. What do you think?"

"Sure, I guess not sure what I'm gonna do with it," Dane said with a shrug coming back from his little euphoria of joining the water more fully. He rubbed the droplets from his face and walked a bit closer to where his teacher had conjured the water.
"So what do I do now?" He asked curiously waiting to see what he'd be able to do with the water.

Enzo looked thoughtful and then nodded as if he settled on something, "The first thing I will teach you may not seem useful at first but it will teach you how to control your element. It is a simple thing, really and you can use it to cause mischief amongst other things." The man said as he moved his fingertips into the water and began a lazy circular motion at the wrist stirring up the water's surface. Slowly the ex-priest pulled his hand upward and the water followed suit and it formed a perfect cone-like shape. It looked sort of like a tornado made of water.
Enzo directed the 'Water Tornado' about on the surface of the water and it went in whatever direction he wanted and even got the cone to dance about on the floor itself and it left a wet trail behind it.
"Do as I do and concentrate while doing so, you may feel a slight tingle in your fingertips but that simply means that the element has acknowledged your presence," Enzo instructed as he moved the Water Tornado back to the water where he made a simple hand flattening gesture and caused it to dissipate.
