Uki gently leads her sister along by the hand as the walk the rest of the way to the udon-ya on the warm spring afternoon. With their mother and father out working at their jobs, Uki had once again been tasked with keeping an eye on Ako. The young porcelain sighs, imagining all the work she really should be doing. Maybe she could get some practice with her lessons, if someone else is there to play with Ako? She glances down at her little sister and smiles though.
She looks up as they arrive, projecting a greeting to anyone there. She is sorry to intrude, but can she and Ako stay here for a while while their parents are busy? The girl fidgets with her free hand, tugging her clothes back into place after walking. She really hopes someone is here to talk to.

And as she enters the udon-ya, she'd see what appears to be a small male youth leaning back in his chair while a foot is propped on a table.
Shuuken, the Demon Bandit of the Golden World, the Sorcerer of the Danish, eyes the ceiling boredly, her head tipped back when Uki enters the shop. Shuuken shifts her head to watch Uki before a grin lines her face.
Finally, Shuuken has found someone to talk to. Her foot slips from the table as her fist bangs lightly against it, the former princess emitting a enthusiastic energy.
Come! Shuuken invites both of the Ladies to come and take a seat at her table! Shuuken will not take "no" for an answer!

Ako toddles along beside Uki, walking alright on her own but not moving as quickly as her older sister. She is also a bit distracted by some game or another in her mind, and cheerfully makes soft whooshing sounds with her mouth as she flies her toy plastic parrot through the air.
In spite of falling behind a few times, she makes it to the udon-ya alongside her sister, and, upon spotting the building, rushes ahead and up the steps. She stuffs the toy bird into her robes to free up both hands, then stands on her toes to grab the doorknob and open it for Uki.
The tiny girl's mouth forms into a little "o" shape as she spots the young man inside with his foot on the table, though, and Ako promptly radiates shy feelings as she urges Uki to go in first. She would feel safer with Mommy, but at least Uki is here with her....

Uki emits a small "eep!" at the sound of Shuuken's fist banging down on the table, but goes in past her little sister. She looks over the strange Porcelain with a certain amount of trepidation, wondering just who he is. The girl quickly remembers her manners, however, and walks over to the table.
And who exactly does she have the pleasure of meeting? Uki projects with only a little hesitation. It is not often that she has met such a forward...boy? Uki looks at the other porcelain's features again before deciding that their ages were not so far apart that he would be a young man.
Uki smiles faintly as she waves Ako over. They should be polite and introduce themselves, after all. She THINKS that the boy won't cause too much trouble, even if he is rather loud and insistant, she opinions privatly to her little sister.

Shuuken moves her thumb and forefinger to her chin, stroking at it while grinning--Shuuken is glad to meet the acquaintance of the two! Shuuken pauses for a moment and blinks before peering at them.
What are their names? Shuuken, in her haste to keep the two from leaving (it has been a very boring day) didn't even give them time to introduce themselves. Shuuken settles a hand on her hip as another grin flashes across her face.
Shuuken apologizes for her rude behavior.

Ako sticks one finger in her mouth as she remains in the doorway propping the door open. Then scurries up to join her sister, tripping a little but not falling; she grasps one of the chairs for support as she glances back and forth between the two older children.
Name? She can do that. "Aaah-ko" the girl mumbles awkwardly, then grins, pleased to show off the only talking-sound she is able to make. Mommy taught her very carefully how to say that.
And once she is confident in her balance again, Ako edges around behind the boy to look him over, still sucking her fingers as she projects a childish curiosity.

Uki sighs and hesitantly says, "My name is Uki. Ako is my younger sister," in a stilted and slightly stiff voice. She nibbles slightly on the inside of her lip for a moment and adds, very quietly, "Our mother is Dame Chourou." Uki ducks her head, blushing slightly. That was horrible, she is certain.
And who is it that she is addressing? she adds after a moment, glancing up again and noticing that Ako is sucking on her fingers. Uki sighs, wondering when exactly their mother was planning on teaching Ako that she should not do that. It isn't really appropriate behavor, after all, even if it is adorable.
Uki pulls out a chair for her sister to sit in, and one for herself as well, looking at the older Porcelain expectantly.

Shuuken can't help but let her grin expand at the behavior of the youngest sister. As Ako circles her, Shuuken cranes her neck before finally twisting her own body to follow the small child's trek. When Uki introduces herself, Shuuken shifts to look at the girl and blinks for a moment.
Why is Uki so shy? There's nothing to be bashful or nervous about. Shuuken strides forward suddenly, her hand moving to grip the girl's shoulder--Shuuken is just Shuuken, no one to be so worried around.
... Well, unless Uki makes Shuuken angry that is. Another grin flashes across the youth's face before she slips a hand to her chest.
"I'm Shuuken," says the Porcelain confidently, "And I most certainly won't eat you."

Ako clumsily projects that she is very pleased to meet Shuuken. Then removes her hand from her mouth - a little thread of spit from her lips to her fingertip glimmers for a moment as she does so - and reaches into her robes to take out the toy parrot again.
... Does Shuuken want to see her birdie? Mommy bought it for her here in Gaia at a store full of toys. She offers the toy to the older boy, not really noticing that there are a few small drool-fingerprints on it now.

Uki blushes and ducks her head. While Shuuken is kind to say so, she is certain that she is not nearly as articulate as her grandmother. This last comes with overtones of reverent awe as Uki thinks about her amazing grandparent.
The girl is startled out of her introspection when Shuuken strides forward to grab her, almost jumping at the unexpected contact.
Wait. Why would Uki be worried about Shuuken EATING her? Uki gives the other Porcelain a worred and concerned look, before she is distracted by her little sister, going fishing for a handkerchief up one sleeve to wipe off the poor toy.

And Shuuken is most pleased to meet Ako. Before Uki can stop and wipe off the toy, Shuuken kneels before the girl and reaches out to take the parrot. The youth seems to ignore the slobber as she inspects the toy, curiosity emanating from her before she nods suddenly. When she looks down, her features are solemn and her words are earnest.
"This is a fine bird," Shuuken says, "And it reflects well upon its Mistress." Shuuken extends the bird back, a smile shining on her face--Shuuken is grateful to little Ako.
Shuuken then turns her attention to the elder as she eyes her mischievously. Well, if Uki is worried about being eaten, she won't be so conscious about her speaking, right? She'll be far more interested in staying out of Shuuken's jaws.
The Porcelain then stands, her attention stolen by Uki--her grandparent might be great, but how many years does she have over Uki? Shuuken shakes her head with a frown before snorting.
Why should Uki be ashamed at where she is at her age? She will obviously grow, expand, and follow the path of her grandmother--Shuuken sees no need for Uki to look so poorly at herself when she seems perfectly acceptable.

At the praise from the boy, Ako giggles and blushes, glowing with a happy and proud feeling. The birdie is mostly red, like her clothes, she observes, grasping the front hem of her little apron and holding it out while she examines the fabric momentarily.
She then holds the toy up near the cloth of Shuuken's robes. Red and green but slightly different shades. Ako peers up at him. What is Shuuken's favorite color?
When the two older children continue talking, though, Ako shies away a little and quiets down. Maybe she should leave them alone and play by herself? confused

Uki blushes intensly, almost squirming before she clamps it down to simply fiddling with the sides of her robes. She glances around, desperate for a new topic to discuss, and smiles at her sister when she asks Shuuken a question.
Yes, that is definatly a good question. Why doesn't Shuuken tell them more about himself? Such a confident Porcelain must have an interesting story behind them, no? Uki looks at Shuuken and tilts her head in conscious imitation of her father's habits.

Shuuken pauses, all attention placed on her--rather than blanching, though, she seems to thrive with it. She places a hand on her chin, seeming to mull over the subject for a mere second before casually replying.
"Orange," says Shuuken simply. She turns her head as to look at both girls before continuing.
"Orange is a color that shows action--you can almost see something moving in it," explains the youth, "It won't sit down, it won't stop. but it keeps going until it's covered by black." Shuuken pauses, looking to the ceiling and smiling.
That is why Shuuken likes the color--it represents so many good qualities that Shuuken tries to attain. Her eyes move from the ceiling and land back on her two companions, curiosity coating her thoughts.
And what are the favorite colors of the two?

Ako's head bobs up and down as she listens to Shuuken's words... and does not pick up terribly much information from them. She does get the boy's answer, at least, and seems suitably impressed.
Her mind boggles a bit at the thought of having to pick one favorite color of her own, though. "Qualities" of colors to emulate and attain? It sounds like something Mommy would say. So, uh, maybe a color that reminds her of Mommy? Ako's face wrinkles into a frown as she thinks. ... And hurriedly tells Uki that she can go first.
