Jysayne sat on the low overhang of the broken down shed, once again sorting though the various things he grabbed in the rush to flee Danni and the house. Items, his weaponry: a naginata, two delicate tessen fans, various needles both throwing and doubling as pins for his hair. Clothing, a fancy kimono, two yukuta robes, a pair of hakama pants, under garments and a few rolls of thick heavy bandages that he wrapped his feet with. Odds and ends some of his nail lacquers, two vials half filled with his usual venoms, his brothers necklace with the tiny silver mask with crystalline blue eyes… Vhaerun.
His fingers clenched around the tiny pendant, running his fingers over the smooth shape before slipping it around his neck, tucking it under his clothing. “Nalolin,” he whispered, he missed his elder sibling. He shook his head. No time to dwell on the path.
“Lets see… also included a blank journal, the bone hinge mirror, and a small purse of coins,” he muttered. Not his best packing job. Jysayne carefully folded his supplies back into the leather back, smoothing down the scorpion emblem of Riders. “Not what I should have packed. Not enough time…”
He gave a huff, feet dangling. Now, all he had to do was wait for his cousin…where ever Illiamaste had disappeared to.

It had all been a stupid mistake. Ryn had only meant to have a bit of fun really. He had not expected the drow he had been playing dice with to take such strong offense to Ryn looking at his female companion. She had been leading him on anyways! leaning over just right so he could get some interesting glances down her bodice...and up the back of her short leather skirt... Those long leg's were utterly lethal. Still, Ryn managed to keep his focus on the dice game. That was why he had been able to catch the b*****d trying to palm the dice and switch them.
He called him on the act, and jostled his arm to cause him to loose all four of the dice as proof of his cheating. Things went downhill from there... A short fight occured, in which the barkeep had forced all three of them from the tavern. Of course, as tempers were still flared and his two contenders were feeling overly cheated out of cheating him from his coins they attaked him.
It pained Ryn to have had to resort to useing magic to fend them off. It had been highly unexpected, and the pair retreated. Most likely to either sulk somewhere, or to regather their courage and attempt to soothe their wounds with a salve made of his blood. Either way,Ryn had stalked off towards a section that gave him the impression of being highgly vacant of life. he was wounded...again...and curseing himself for having turned his back on the female.
"Stupid vithin rouges and their stupid vithin daggers." Ryn cursed under his breath as he cast a useless glance over his shoulder. He could feel it. A very small dagger maybe the size and length of his index finger. it was stuck uncomfortably between the rib bones directly below the high edge of his breastplate. A place dangerousely close to his spine. Thankfully the b***h had been relying on the poison to do him in. Well, he was safe enough from that. The painful burning around his bellybutton assured him that the magical tattoo was doing it's job quite well. Still..the blade wasin a bad place and he wasn't certain he'd be able to remove it...he really needed to get better armor...

Boreedddd. Jysayne pushed himself from the ledge, landing quietly on the balls of his feet. While his cousin was doing who knows what; personally, he hoped it involved gathering up funds and perhaps the retrieval of his shamisen. He liked that instrument. So, in the meanwhile he might as well get the scoop on the place they would be staying.
It was abandoned; they both made sure of that. It was small but since it was only going to be a temporary base, really, what would be the use of large areas of space? It was relatively clean given the state of the building, nothing living, slimy, or just nose wrenchingly gross. He was also reasonably sure outside had a well.
Hmmm…well that seemed a good place to start. They would need a clean source of water and drawing some would allow him to figure out the percentage of if it needed to be boiled. Really, you don’t survive a war and the banishment of your house to die by some disease in water that could have been easily killed by boiling it for a minute. It was rather…to be blunt stupid.

Well...it looked vacant enough. Ryn glanced over the building as he approched it. He had thought he'd seen something dissappearing aorund a corner though. It had a vauge...white color to it. A ghost? Bah. he could handle a ghost. It did irk him though. As much as he attempted to deny his magical training, things just kept popping up that he ended up using magic for. Hiding his valuables. Draining a bit of the energy from his enemies mid battle. Warding off a potential ghost. Someone needed to come up with a magical sword that could do all of those things so he'd be able to pretend he could not.
Only a little grumpy at this possible inconvience, Ryn stiffly followed after where he'd seen the movement. he came to the corner of the building, and slowly peered his yellow eyes around the corner. Neh? Okay...so it wasn't a ghost. It looked like a guy in a dress... Wonderful. A mage. He had to be dressed in a ridiculouse get up like that. Well...Ryn knew how to deal with mages.
He tilted his head a little towards his shoulder at the sharp lingering pain. he supposed he could coax the male to pull the dagger out of his back at least. Perhaps if he slipped up behind him he could subdue him and avoid any un-neccessary conflict. He did not want to mess with magic right now...

Jysayne pulled up the bucket, sniffing the water. It smelled clean, was clear, but to be safe he was going to boil it before drinking any off it. He set it down, pausing slightly head tilted. He swore he heard something...his eyes narrowed. It couldn’t be Illy, his cousin would make more noise. His fingers twitched falling into his sleeves pulling out one thin senbon needle.
“Is anyone there?” He called, turning rising to the balls of his feet. He so didn’t want to get in a fight right now. He just got all of the blood out of his hair and skin earlier.

Allright. Ryn was gradually putting together a plan on what to do about the mage, when he heard his voice call out. Fusk. Well, that ruined the whole 'surprise' him idea. The mage had to be rather good at hearing things if he had heard the small amount of noise that Ryn had been unable to quiet. Ryn remained out of sight as he attempted to consider how to deal with the mage now. Simply walking up to him and asking him to pull the dagger out was not as easy an option to accept after all. Mage's were tricky bastards. He couldn't trust a strange one to get so near to a wound. After all...Ryn could think of a lot of things he could do himself with such a opportunity. Frowning a little, he placed his hand on the wall and peered around the corner carefully. Maybe...ah yes...he knew...
From where he was, he could see that the other male was already alert. no. There would be no surpriseing him now. Ryn could either hide and attempt to ambush the other male inside of the building, or he could play dead. As it were. A blade as small as the one in his back would have to have obvious discoloring from the poison. The mage might not know about his protection if he did not see the tattoo on his belly. Ryn was no rouge or assassin, so playing the part of a sneak was not going to be very successful. So that left subterfuge...lovely...he was never much good at that either.
Ryn drew his sword from it's sheath and after a moment of consideration, he lowered his head and placed his hand over his belly tattoo in order to conceal it's waning glow. He kept his yellow eyes slittled closed, to hide the fact there was no glaze or disoriented look to them, and he staggered a step out from his hiding place. If the mage attacked he'd just drop his act and dive back behind cover. If he was foolish enough to take him for a glance...maybe Ryn could get him to remove the dagger without even having to say a word...

Rose and amber orbs narrowed, surveying the area as he pulled the thin metal needle out of the catches sewn in the wide sleeves. Perhaps he was just being paranoid it had been such tiny sounds. He yawned, eyes softening slightly. If there was someone certainly they would make themselves known soon. It could not be more then a pair otherwise they would have already attempted to ambush. Eyes flickered to his glaive on the top of the roof in an attempt to see if the mirror bright blade would reflect an image. Nope. And the mirror was up there as well. So he couldn’t contact his cousin.
Illy had to be close, he had been gone for a few hours. His ears flickered…that sounded like a draw. s**t, his aim was good but depending on armor, weaponry, and physical status of his foe…he could be in a lot of trouble.
He paused in drawing more of the deadly needles to watch the young male, armored some sort of warrior then, stagger out. Eyes ran from top to bottom, hand on belly could be a wound? No, the air didn’t smell right. Belly wounds bleed, smelled so why was he holding his stomach? No blood was stained on skin. Dagger…poisoned by the stain but no sign of distressed. No sweat and he had to come from some where but he heard no sound of battle.
“You are very bad at playing anyone. If you want that out dropped your sword and kick it away.” He growled out.

Damn it...
Ryn really had to work more on his acting. He knew he was no con artist but still...He should have been able to pretend to be wounded better. As the other male so easily picked up on his lack of signs, Ryn felt himself scowling and dropping his act a bit. Though he did not drop his hand from his belly. There was no reason to give everything away. Perhaps he ought to invest in a shirt of some sort?
So then, what should he do? Ryn could not see a better situation really then the one he was already in. "Drop my sword?" Ryn slowly replied with a scoffing note to his voice. He was not serious was he? He was wounded and in a bad position. Ryn was not about to make such a mistake as leaving himself defenseless on top of that. "What? Do you expect me to trust you not to take advantage of me in my state?" Ryn lifted his blade tip a bit to angle it at the sharp eyed male. If he did not force himself to hold the blade up at a proper angle, then he did not feel the tremble in his back from the pain of the small dagger digging into the muscle. Still...he needed it out..and if this male did not seem like he was about to be manipulated. Damn it all!

Jysayne fell slightly, rocking back fully on the flat feet. “Your ruse is rather weak. Belly wounds bleed, if it hit your bowels I would be able to smell it. I’m guessing since you are not sweating profusely enough something on you is combating the poison. Which you are probably trying to cover with your hand.” He gave a toss of his head, hair falling in his face escaping the pins. “That sword is not going to do you much good. I excel in range weapons.”
He let his hand fall walking slowly, careful where he stepped, eyes never leaving Ryn face. “Sheaf it then…or do you enjoy having that dagger so close to your spine?”

The male was right. He obviously would not be fooled. He was rather sharp witted. Far too sharp witted to be taken advantage of. Even if Ryn had managed to get close he was certain the male would be on enough guard to ensure Ryn did not get the upper hand at any point. Grudgeingly he removed his hand from it's place. the runic tattoo upon his belly was still burning unpleasently and glowing faintly. Whatever poison that had been, it had been a nasty bit.
He did not doubt so much that the other weilded projectile style weapons. Most drow did after all. Except Ryn. He had foolishly snubbed them in favor for getting in nice and close with his blade. Fat lot of good it had done him so far. He looked down at the dropped blade tip, and with a small scowl he lifted it and returned it to it's sheath. He did not like this gamble. Normally he liked bet's well enough, but he preferred a mug of ale in one hand when he took foolish risks.
"You will remove the dagger then? What do you expect in return stranger?"

A tattoo, well that did make a bit of sense. He faintly remembered his cousin talking to one of the few mages who dabbled in that art about the craft. So the tattoo must be combating the poison somehow but was it supposed to glow? ‘I’ll just talk to cousin about that latter…and hope he doesn’t prod and badger our guest with questions and sharp instruments.’
He kept his face still, though inwardly he breath a bit easier when the sword was sheath. He wasn’t joking about his skilled with the senbon yet, having the sword placed away was comforting. “That is easy enough answered…information. My cousin’s spell does not allow for exact locations and while I have and inkling of where we are…it is best to be sure.” It had been at least fifteen or twenty some years since he last traveled out of east dark and things change.
"You can call me Kai if you wish...but what shall I call you?" Besides bad tempered child?

Information? Ryn fixed the stranger with a searching yellow gaze. Was that really all he could want? It was possible that is all he wanted now. He could change his mind as time passed though... "I will tell you where you are, and answer what questions I can" It would cost him nothing to share the information. It would be knowledge that he would gain on his own in time he was sure. So between the two, Ryn felt he would gain the most.
Ryn rested his hand upon the sheath of his sword, and shifted a painful step. Cousins spell...that meant the male was not alone. And magic was involved. What sort of fool magically traveled without knowing his basic destination? One that had to be in trouble. This is what clicked in Ryn's mind. Perhaps he had more of the upper hand then he believed.
"My name is Ryn." He answered Kai after a moments pause. "This cousin of yours. Will he return soon?" Not that Ryn particularly cared at the moment. What he really wished to say was 'will you pull this damn thing out now?' But...he did not want this meeting to become unpleasent before he had a chance to get what he required.

"Wonderful, then lets get started..."Jysayne fluttered inside the worn building with a whirl of cream and amber sleeves. "Going to have to sit then Ryn for best leverage of pulling that thing out... and Illy? Who knows with my cousin...he is a bit unhinged." Time did not matter only now. He wished his cousin mind added planing for future events so he might have got a bit of warning...Damn him.
"Ahh!" He found what he wanted a sturdy enough stool and dragged it out. "Sit. Unless you want me to stand on my tip toes to pull that out." He continued to move pulling the bucket of water over and stringing it up on the lower hang low to the ground. "Hmm..."More running about getting the needles and thread from out of one of the sleeves, a roll of bandage, and a few of his cousin marble like invention that when snapped gave off heat to warm the water to a boil.
"All set...now, shall we get started? Tell me what part of Underdark I have found myself in...and I will remove the dagger."

Ryn followed Jysayne while doing his best to shrug off the pain. Soon it would be gone. He was a warrior. He could handle this little dagger. This small pain. He wasn't a mage. He wasn't some pampered nobles son. He was a warrior! By focusing on these thoughts, Ryn was capable of moving his body in a relatively normal manner. He entered the worn building, his eyes sweeping through it as was his habit. He wanted to make certain there was nothing unpleasent hanging about that could be waiting for the unwary after all. That simple sweep did well to assure him that, as of this moment, the most dangerouse thing near him was Kai.
Ryn watched as Kai found the stool. He gave the stool a single arched brow before seating himself upon it. "Unhinged." Ryn spoke after a moment. He had little else to think on right now, and he disliked dwelling on his own pain. Somehow paying attention to it only made it seem worse. What was that? The objects he dropped into the water? Ryn's amber gold eyes lifted to look at the busy male. Should he wait? make kai remove the dagger first before offering any of his information? He didn't want to risk the male shoving the dagger in deeper once he answered. Ryn's lips pressed into a untrusting grim expression. "Gneeh...you are in the East Dark" Ryn finally and grudgeingly began to explain. "On the outskirts of Undrek'Thoz to be exact"

Jysayne paused, eyes narrowing body tense like a to tight string."Well..." He started softly. "Cousin spell really went haywire then..."He took a deep breath letting it out slowy. 'Fuc..son fo a bas...ooh I'm going to pluck out his eyes and roast them when he get back...Safe my a**.' He put his left hand down to steady the blade and pull swiftly lifting the blade in an angle line it has entered. "Well that done..."
He pressed a bandaged to the wound to seam the bleeding. "Hold on to this," it came out as a snapped order and he was moving to the water to check and see if it was boiling yet.
