  Ren sniffed as he walked Kico only a bit behind him. Kico was a story the male had seen his shares of fights but if you dare called him old well… Ren knew the reaction received from that. But showed no signs of it Kico wasn’t one to cause harm if it wasn’t needed. And had left him all but uncared from the growing number of battles they had. Somehow Kico was always the winner of this, but ask Ren and it was a bit of a different story. Ren wasn’t a liar he was a false truth storyteller or at least that’s what he called him self. A bit hot headed Ren didn’t follow orders from anyone till that someone had him pined. The air was starting to get a charred smell to it they were close to the void, Ren liked the fire his eyes seemed to light up when he seen it but Kico was a bit more cautious saying Ren was liable to burn his fur off. Ren turned his head back to stare at Kico "Are we done yet?" The scared male only shock his head and didn't bother with an answer.The two were out investigating the humans seeing how far their traces went, and so far they were almost to the void and still smelt them.

Revy was patrolling up the lava rocks near the void for any careless lizards she could snatch up. the sent of humans was in the air but Revy had not seen any other sign of the humans so it must be safe.

Both stopped their noses up they had smelt someone, vaguely familiar, quickly Kico dropped into attack stance the hair on his tail double the normal size, Ren just shrugged, "it doesn't smell human it must be one of ours." Kico glared at Ren for several moments before given a huff.
"if it was human you would have died long ago, sometimes i worry about you." Taking a few steps forward he smelt the air again.

Revy was moving away from the human smell, not on purpose but just because she was moving that way. she was going ware her feet ware going. and her feet where taking her towards some other animals, her nose told her. the mid day heat was blocked by the overcast sky, so the fox colored tanuki was more relaxed then she would normally be. such a bland day made her lazy and shurly made other animals lazy as well. that had alwya been her thought on the matter.

Kico took more steps towards the smell his body already ready to fight. Ren only a few inchs from him almost on his tail peeking around him. "do you mind?" Kico turned and glared at him and Ren only smiled. With a sigh he turned back to the front and trudged on careful not to stop to fast for fear of Ren landing on his tail.
While Kico was to worryed about the front Ren spyed the female tanuki her steps a bit lazy but still strong, "HEY" Ren yelled and Kico just about jumped outta his skin.

Revy stopped in her tracks when someone called out, slowly looking over in the direction the sound came from.
"Hello" she called back.
the tanuki started to move over to the ringtails.
"what are you two doing out hear?" she asked smiling.

Kico puffed up when he seen the larger foe, Ren however trotted over like nothing was wrong. "were patrolling its a big drab..." Kico wanted to rip Rens fur out he glared at the there male before deciding since the Tanuki hadn't already torn him to bits she wasn't going to...
"My names Kico were out seeing the extent of the humans population, you should ignore my stupid associate..." Ignoring the comment Ren went on, "what are you doing?"

"hehe your to are a hoot" Revy swishing her tail back and forth.
" i am just extending my foraging area. I have not seen any humans around hear but I can smell them."

Kico nodded before glaring some more at Ren. "One of these days..."
"One of these days what?" Ren cocked his head looking at him then turned to Revy, "sometimes he just confuses me"
"pfft" Kico snorted again before nodding then turning around, "So that means they probably haven't got this far tho the volcano isnt a lively place maybe even for them."

"I have seem to have lost two of my friends in this lava rock wasteland would you two be so kind as to help me find them?" Revy let hope fill her, she had to find them with the ring tails help. if thay would help.

Kico was about to say they had other things to do when Ren quickly blurted out "sure." and bounced off towards the lava area.
a bit awestruck Kico looked after him then looked at Revy and shrugged. "some times i think im just a body guard...." With a grouchy twitch of his tail he started off in the direction ren had gone.

Ashkew looked out from under the rocks he was using to escape form the heat of the sun. it looks like revy had made some new friends. ring tails by the looks of it. Hyperactive, jump before looking, over friendly, obnoxious ring tails. maybe she would follow them around and leave him alone.
"what do you say we go meet Revy new fiends?" asked the fox that was sitting on some rocks nearby.
"hay, i told you to keep an eye out for predators, not Revy." the adult tanuki said. "if you want to go play with them then leave."
"ok" the fox squelled as it bound off towards the fox colored tanuki and the ring tails.
"and don't come back." Ashkew muttered under his breath, rolling over to try and get some sleep.

Ren had been going forward quickly when the fox sprang up. Ren almost jumped 10 feet hissing and darting behind Kico. "I told you...." Kico turned and stared at the fox for a few moments but it didnt seem like it wished them harm. How ever he still turned to Revy, "you know this one?"
"You shouldn't let it off for scaring me like that...." Ren peeked out for several moments then hid his head again. Kico could only sigh and shake his head.
"we wouldn't have this issue if you paid attention." He turned back to Revy, "see what i mean."

Revy laughed when Mort scared Ren. "What are you doing over hear Mort?" Revy said with a smile, Morts antics had always lighted the mood.
"I came over hear to play with your new friends." the small fox said. "You always have the best friends" bouncing around as he spoke, he would look from revy then to the ring tails as if expecting them to do something entertaining

Ren didnt dare move from Kicos tail area and was infact hiding under his tail his own tail wagging still. Kico snorted and looked at the fox, "i wouldn't say were friends as we just met." Side stepping he uncovered Ren, "and this worthless fur ball is Ren." Ren glared at kico for a few moments before dusting him self off. Laying his fur back where it should be and facing the fox.
"you gave me a start...." He blurted out and glared at him, "i could have had a heart attack...."
