Almost breaks down sobbing when I see that my iTunes library is gone?
Seriously, I'm such a dumbshit.
All because I wanted Lullabye and Pavlove in my library so damn bad.
Now, fifty dollars worth of music went poof for no clear reason.
I hate iTunes.
Could have been worse, I guess.

How did that happen? surprised That sucks. But yeah, songs you purchased through iTunes can be restored.
You just open iTunes and connect your iPod, but DO NOT sync it. If you do all the songs on your iPod will be deleted too. Instead of syncing, go to the toolbar at the top and click "File < "Transfer Purchases from iPod."
Then your songs should be under your "Purchased" folder under "Store."
If you had songs that you bought but they're not on your iPod... then I don't know. Maybe you can call iTunes and they'll restore them for you (because they should have some time of record of it, I think)...
