This is the gigantic laboratory area that takes up the entirity of the southern portion of the extensive palace. Dangerous subjects and experiments are studied and tested there by the arrancar scientists. Some of these subjects are weapons, some are technological advancements, some are just random experiments, and some very well may be the very bane of the shinigami! The walls are painted a dull gray, and strange machines fill the space of this large facility.

Spindel Joumaru was inside the vast research facility, like always. He was disecting two different creatures: A rat from the real world and a rat from the world of Hueco Mundo. He was researching if the two similar species had similar body structures, and so far his hypothesis was correct! Spindel was exhilirated! He gave a crooked smile as he sliced into the real-world rat's heart, wet, putrid blood dripping everywhere through the petri dish. His always-oppened eyes, coupled with his smile, made Spindel look as if he was insane.

Ethan walked through the lab on an overhanging walkway, humming softly to himself. He looked to one side and saw Spindel hunched over a table, blood dripping on the floor to one side. He sighed and shook his head.
"Who're you? Spindel?" He asked, looking down at him. "May I ask why you're spewing blood all over my floor?"

(Just to let you know, you're not looking down on me. Spindel is over 11 feet tall. 3nodding )
"The floor has gotten in the way of my research. Acceptible losses." Spindel moved his dissection scalpel to the cranium of the hollow rat. He gently sliced open it's skull, to dissapointing affects. As soon as he cut it's mask open, the hollow rat deteriated into spirit particles, as all hollow did. Spindel gave out a sight of dissapointment. It was almost impossible to reach the brain of smaller specimens, no matter how skilled a cutter you were. Spindel needed a specimen that had a denser structure than a hollow. One that wouldn't dissapear once it's mask was cut. Something like...an arrancar. Spindel eyed Ethan deviently, almost molestingly; his wide gaze giving the perfect effect of horror.

((Ethan is standing on a suspended walkway that is about 15 feet in the air.))
"Don't even think about it," Ethan said with a tone that suggested boredom, as if he's had to deal with this occurence regularly. He stared Spindel down with glowing red eyes, unfazed by his insane-looking, hungry stare. "Just make sure you clean up afterwards. I don't like the smell of blood."
The glow faded from his eyes as he looked at the specimens on the table. "What exactly are you trying to accomplish here?" He asked with a more lighthearted, inquisitive tone.

"Hmm..." was all that heard from the Raven haired man in the corner of the room looking as if he was throwing a black-purple stone into the air and catching it. He was simply watching the other two talk as his amethyst eyes went from one to the other.

(I know. I'm just making puns.)
Spindel began to laugh, near uncontrolably at Ethan's claim of not liking blood. He calmed himself, before returning to his work, slicing the real-world rat's head open with his scalpel. "I am trying to decipher the diferences between hollow animals, and human animals. I have discovered that the insects of the human world have similar, almost identical body structures to those of insectoid hollows. Yet, I have also dicovered that many hollows, even un-insectoid hollows, have similar body structures to insects. This discovery has thrown my research backwards, so now I am conducting experiments on mamaloid hollows and animals to really test my hopothesis. If my theory is correct, then I can prove that arracar body structures are similar to a human's. If that is the case, then we can begin to use human medicines and research to progress our medical knowledge ten-fold! Who knows what possiblities that would unlock! I shall elaborate. You see, if you take an average household medicine, such as Ibuprofen, one could..." Spindel rambled on and on, not pausing once in his relentless disection of the poor specimen. He didn't make one faulty cut as he continued his one-sided conversation.

"Hmmm..." Ethan stroked his chin in thought. After Spindel had finished his speech he spoke up. "Interesting. It would be nice if you could adapt human medicine for us arrancaru to use."
He disappeared in a buzz of static and reappeared next to Spindel in a sonido. "A hollow's mask is what's keeping its form intact and its bare instincts shielded from the outside world. Thus when it's removed the hollow disintegrates." he explained as he pointed at the specimens.
"Would you like to come to my section to continue your experiment? One of my specialties is reiatsu containment," he asked Spindel as he gestured across the room.
"Provided, of course, you don't spew blood all over the place," he added with a half-hearted grin.

The Arrancar in the corner finally pushed him self off the wall and approached the two, "Hmm... I have been working on getting us a means of communication..." said the monotoned voice of Deathsye the Fourth as it were. He produced the stone that he had been playing with earlier , "Its simular to the pendent I wear... A Black Amethyst. I don't know whether it works outside of Hueco Mundo."

Spindel's eyes roamed around the lab, ignoring Ethan. Spindel didn't want to be interfered with an experiment, no matter how helpful they might have been. Spindel's wide gaze turned to the small stone that Deathsye was holding. The fourth espada had said something about "communication". Maybe the stone was a comminiator. Spindel didn't listen to Deathsye much, because most of the time he didn't have much to say to him. But now, Spindel was intrigued. He ran one long, thin finger over the surface of the stone. He ran several theories through his brain, then simply asked Deathsye. "May I borrow this?"

"Hm. I'll take that as a no." Ethan turned away from Spindel and reached inside a cage, pulling out a large hollow rat by the tail. It was maybe about the size of a doberman, but Ethan held it effortlessly with one arm. It struggled frantically before he dropped it on the ground. It ran around in a half-circle before turning around and facing Ethan with a snarl.
"You are no threat to me..." Ethan obliterated the hollow with a bala. After the small explosion a rodent-like mask clattered to the ground. "... you are merely prey." He picked up the mask and bit off a piece.

"If you wish Two." said Deathsye with a simple tone, "But don't lose it. Its currently the only one I have." he said handing over the black stone. If Spindel would hold it up to a light it would have a purple color to it, "My Pendant will be the hub for the stones. Anything you need to relay back will be heard by me. And vise versa. When I say something through my stone you will hear it." he said in his normal soft smooth tone.

Ethan made a mental note that Deathsye had communicator stones, and to check back with him periodically to see if he is able to make more and improve on them.
"If you were to make more of those it would be very useful to us." Ethan walked over to Deathsye and Spindel and looked at the stone closely. He frowned. "There's no mechanical parts that I can see. How does it transmit sound if there's nothing that vibrates to pick it up?"

Deathsye simply took his HUB stone from his neck and said, "It works like Telepathy. Its like a brain to brain transmitter." he said lifting it and then showing it had a crystaline structure, "It can hold lots of information without need of computers... Believe it or not there was a mystical age before these... New fangled contraptions>" he said then retying the stone pendent around his neck, "Besides don't the Shinigami use Butterflies... Its the same concept." he said then walking off, "Im off to the main hall... Seeya." he said casually.

"Soudou," Ethan said to himself. "I shouldn't limit myself to technology."
He walked out of the research facility after making sure everything was neat and in order.
