It had been awhile since she wandered... No.. Not awhile.. A long time. Longer than she really cared to think about, if she was honest with herself. Dashira grimaced at herself. How long? Long enough to see her brother mated.. To see him and his love have beautiful children.. To see those beautiful children grow up and move on, to find loves of their own. But she was a Shaman... Bound to the land in ways others did not understand, would not understand... She healed the wounded, counciled those who wished for it... And walked alone. A long, winding path through eternity spread before her... "Must I be alone?" She wondered out loud. Luckily her hornbill friend was not around.. She could just imagine the lecture that would come from saying THAT pathetic thought out loud. Dashira, you are a Shaman.. You are meant to heal and guide and help... The words were quite familiar by now. "I still don't see where that means I must be alone.." She muttered under her breath.

With a growl, Arion pushed his through the tall grasses. He stood a head ans shoulders over the grasses, watching the lands as he wandered. He was in serious need of a revaluation of his life. The large male shook out his mane, before leaping out of the grass and on to a large rock out cropping. Things back at the pride were...different now. Jor and he seemed...different from the rest of them. Jor wasnt violent, nor was he full of hate. He was just a smartass. Arion was cold, a hardass, as his best friend described. The pride they belonged too...were evil.
"Damn...I've changed. Physical and mentally...I've grown up." He shook his head, smirking toward the sky. "Its still blows to be alone though."

The words -although not exact- were a sentiment she understood all too well.. Altering her course, Dashira seemed to simply appear out of the high grass, considering the male. "While being alone can sometimes be soothing, I agree that if you are always alone it can become quite distressing." She replied smoothly, tilting her head. The wind picked up, stirring her jewelry with playful fingers and tossing her mane this way and that. "Greetings Stranger.. I'm Dashira, Shaman of Cyan Serenity, and Princess... And you?"

Arion glanced up, smirking at the female. Biting back a comment about his sex appeal, he shrugged. "Yea...I hear ya."
Princess? Woohoo fancy. He dipped his head to her, before speaking. "Names Arion. i'm just wandering...I guess, tryin to find myself. Not sure where I went though..." He chuckled at his own stupid joke, shaking his head. "Nice to meet you Princess."

"Dashira." She corrected softly. "I never much cared for the title 'Princess'... Shaman is better, though a strange way to be hailed.. Dashira is acceptable.. It is after all, my name." She glanced at the lands, then back to him. "Well met, Arion.. Do you call a pride home, or are you a constant Wanderer?" She'd have to be blind to ignore he was a strong, handsome Solar male.. Probably had a paw full of females back at the den and twice as many cubs gamboling around... Passing on that arrogant air and sarcastic manner. She'd met his kind before.

He smirked again. "A'right then, Dashira then."
At her question, he gave a shrug. "Yea, I have a pride." He gave a bitter laugh. "Not much of a place I want to be anymore. Nothing their but drama and rage." He HAD been the queens favorite, but that was all but over now. "I have no use for the lot of them anymore."
Now, he was male. Obvioulsly. And she was a FINE showing of the female species. Mmmm Genetics is a beautiful thing.
"So, I guess, I'm a wanderer now. I rather like the life. Especally with no family to speak of."

She smiled slightly at the small victory. She tilted her head as he spoke of his pride, he didn't seem to find it like a second family. But then, it didn't seem like a very welcoming Pride, at least, not to her ears. "So you're leaving them?" She asked with a tilt of her head. "Won't they miss you?" Her tail swished this way and that, curling around to put her feathers at her shoulder. She considered him carefully, wondering at all he was and wasn't saying. He was watching her, that much she knew. Thinking it was some sort of test and not knowing if she passed, Dashira took a step toward him, boldness in every line of her form. She was in peak condition, more than capable of running down the swiftest prey animal. "Won't your female miss you?" She hedged. No family? Strength was valued in the pride as it was the breeding den. He had no cubs to speak of? Shocking.

Arion gave a loud laugh, large head thrown back in mirth. "Female? Please. I have no female." He smirked. "Nobodys strikin my fancy. I'm a rather picky male."
Yea, he wasn't leavin his pride. He'd pop back up from time to time. But he wasn't living there anymore.
"I have a rather negative track record with females anyway. I dont see a need to extend it. Unless i'm certian, shes the 'one'."

Dashira laughed softly at his reply, shaking her head in silent amusement. Sure enough males chose their females, but somehow she felt that he had at least once seen a female that 'struck' his fancy. Probably more than once... Still, that didn't mean he had to keep said female around... She so wasn't gonna go there. "And how do you expect to find this 'one' if you have no wish to -what was it?- 'extend' your 'negative track record'?" She couldn't help but smile as she asked, arching a brow in challenge. "I'm quite curious to hear this strategy of yours.. Perhaps if it sounds somewhat sane, I'll pass it along to my younger brother... He could use the help."

Arion gave the Shaman a smirk. Ok, so he had a few females who strikin THAT fancy. But not the 'settle down with you and start a family' fancy.
He was a pig.
How was he going to find the one? Well, he had no idea. He hadn't actually planned out his next step. He wasn't much of a forward thinker. That was Jors ball game, he was just the muscle that made things happen.
"Well, The last few females have been...Whats the word..." Fools? Sluts? Psychopaths? Insane? Easy? "...Different."
Pansy.
"They just...didn't give me a intellectual challenge. When I speak to her, I'll know her."
I think I found her...

That smirk confirmed half of what she had guessed was right. Dashira couldn't help but smirk back, though for different reasons. So they 'struck his fancy', at least for a time.. And then what? No matter, he sounded sincere about meeting this 'one' and settling down. Wonder if his darlings know about that little gem... She thought to herself, then laughed softly. "Different?" She echoed. "Everyone is a little, different.. But I take it that means they aren't, or weren't, what you were looking for. Though what that is has yet to be defined... However, I can understand wanting someone who stimulates one's mind and conversations as well as their other, appetites..." She gave him a considering look that swept over his figure from nose to tail. He was one handsome male. Indeed. Meow.

Arion gave a chuckle, smirk still on his face.
"I was trying to be politically correct. Different isn't it exactly, but I can't group all of them in on bag. One was a blood thrursty masochist. One was a overly depended nut job. One was a horny child."
He gave his large head shake.
"All of them were crazy. In their own ways. "
"What about you Dashira? You as unlucky in love as I am? "

Dashira arched a brow at him, unable to put into words her thoughts on the manner. But then, it was hard to give him a look eloquent enough to sum it all up, either... There are times -few and far between thank the Moon Lioness- that both words and expressions fail. She let the matter drop, considering her own past. "Males do not see me as the mother of their kits, the lover they return to at night, the one they will start a life with. I am a Shaman, a Healer, and News-Giver... I speak to stars and spirits and walk with Angels and Demons... They do not wan THAT passing to their children." She curled a lip in a bitter smile.

What males was SHE talking about? The gay ones?! Lord knew he was more than willing to give her cubs. As many as she wanted. He'd be home every night if SHE was waiting for him. As for that silly thing about talking to spirits? Pifff, his best friend talked to plants on a daily basis. Spirits we no big whoop. As a matter of fact, that made SO much more sence than captian earth over there.
Ok, woah. That was uncommonly scary. Even for him. Ok, he just met her. But she seemed to get things that nobody else did. Understand a different world than those other females.
"Well, than their imbicles. That makes no sence, at all Dashira. You just haven't met the male whose more than willing to settle down with you."
Until NOW, that is...

Aaaand now he was staring at her like she had two heads.. And that the second was Hyena... Speaking Giraffe... With a hornbill on it's back... Dashira coughed, glancing away, wondering if she should have kept the 'angels and demons' bit out of it... The moment he spoke she whipped around to consider him again, staring at him in shock. He.. He thought what?! "They weren't imbeciles..." She defended automatically. "I just wasn't what they wanted... I'm not really what anyone wants... Not for a mate, at least..." She shrugged. It wasn't that she was ungrateful for her gifts. She rather enjoyed them, actually.. Making others feel better... Easing new cubs into the world. Healing and Guiding. They were all a part of her. It was just.. That part that no one wanted. "I'd like to think so." She replied to him, giving a wane smile in an effort to appear positive.
