Tooki had spent the morning running, as usual. It was getting exercise and fun at the same time. And a good way to cool off if you ran through the grass with dew on it. He loved early morning runs simply for the running.
Now, he stood looking at flowers. He was nosing at a patch of buttercups he'd found, munching on the treat. He was oblivious to the fact the pollen on them had made his nose appear yellow. The stallion wouldn't have cared anyway...he was enjoying himself.

Muse happily pranced through the long grasses knowing for once her special friend was indeed quite pleasant today. Chattering to one another they moved with graceful strides and happy hearts. It was definitely a good day for an outing, this they both agreed on.
Only when Muse caught within her eye a glimpse of a stallion did Story become a little jealous. As the purple mare investigated the happy stallion the other simply pushed her so she'd stumble.
"Ohh... noo " cried the purple mare as she stumbled toward the stallion. She now realized he had pollen all over his muzzle. He must of been exploring the flowers.
Regaining her footing she frowned looking face to face with this new Soquili as her head raised taller. Blinking she lost her train of thought becoming very shy.

Tooki blinked at the mare, almost nose to pollen covered nose with her. He'd never seen her before...and was she glowing? He took a few steps back to give her some room. "H...hello. Who are you?"

Muse could of bolted if she wanted to in such an awkward situation such as this one. She learned the hard way that voicing her disgust to Story in her actions wasn't the proper thing to do because no one could see the other without coming to the idea Muse was delusional.
Stepping back a few steps to not be that close she shook her head and sneezed breathing in the pollen, "Achoo...".
Blinking she heard Story laughing but ignored the imaginary mare as others called her. Pondering a moment she smiled forgiving Story and focused on the stallion, "I'm Muse. Who are you?" she asked with a curious nature.

"I'm Tooki," he replied, then looked embarrassed. "Sorry about the pollen...I think it gets every where when you're snacking on buttercups..."
The stallion glanced at the flowers, then at the mare. He was intrigued by her markings. "Umm...I don't mean to sound rude...but are you glowing?"

Story smirked grinning at Muse speaking rather rudely, Pollen my a**... well now he likes you Muse. What did you do now?
Muse glared at Story wanting so hard to kick her. "That's not it... stop that already!" Blinking she looked up Tooki and went beet red realizing she had quarreled out loud again.
Composing herself his comment struck her odd and she blinked immediately looking down at her feet, "Glowing?"
The only glowing she ever heard of was fire the natives used. Was she on fire?! Her eyes widened then she caught sight of Story laughing so hard.
Stupid... he means your markings silly mare. Get your brains out of your tail. The imaginary voice taunted her.
Muse shook her head then laughed, "Oh those? Uh maybe well my grandmother might have passed it on or mom maybe?" she blinked again feeling awkward as she kept embarrassing herself more and more.
Fine setting this was becoming trying to make a first impression.

"They're very pretty. I got my markings from my mom...I think," He tilted his head, trying to remember.
Tooki glanced at the mare, watching her. "Umm....who are you talking to?"

Muse felt the rush of embarrassment once more knowing someone else had seen her conversation.
"Oh um... ha ha... well" she scrambled in her head to say truth but not sound stupid, "Just my friend..."
Now she knew she blew it out of proportion again. Who would believe Story was real anyway she groaned.
I know I'm real. Maybe you're the weird one Muse.
Muse glanced at Story the changed the subject, "Really you think so? I guess they make me standout huh?" she mused with a smile thinking deep inside, "Why me? Why can't I say something with out sounding like I'm stupid.
She smiled back at him with a soft lyrical expression but deep inside she knew everyone thought she was one hay bale left to the stack. Its probably why Muse had so much trouble finding a good friend.
Thinking quickly she commented, "Well your markings are really interesting and remind me of the water with the swirls and bubbles".

"Really?" Tooki looked his markings over."Never thought of that. Guess it fits...seeing as how my father lives in the water."
He looked down at mare's legs, "Yours are like comets across a night sky. Kind of peaceful."
The stallion nodded, thinking that was a good compliment. He tilted his head, then looked in the direction where Muse spoke to her 'friend'. "Does your friend have interesting markings? I bet so...cause I can't see your friend. Do they have magic that makes them invisible? You must be someone special to have a friend with magic like that."

"Do I have markings? Dur look at me"
Muse ignored Story for the moment wishing her friend would keep quiet for once. Pondering what to say she looked sideways at Story then back to Tooki.
"Yeah like mine I guess though I think her's are darker?" she was now stumbling with her words hearing warning signals in her head. Definitely her father would scold her for even mentioning her "friend".
"Hello Muse.... earth to Muse.... He's asking about M'wa dear. So tell him".
Tell him about Story. What did she see really? A flash of white? Was it feathers? Feathers... where did that come from she questioned herself. Shaking her head she thought for a better description.
"Well ah... yeah I think she makes herself invisible to be spiteful" the little mare mused with a silly thought.
Spiteful.... ah huh.... wait a minute?! That was uncalled for!
Muse stumbled nearly falling into Tooki with eyes wide. Maybe that was a bit wrong to be blunt, but Story was seriously getting on her nerves.
As she righted herself she looked at Tooki apologetically, " I'm sorry I guess my words got carried away there. You alright?"

Tooki nodded, his nose turning pink slightly. Oh...why was he blushing now? He moved to be back to 'catch' her if she stumbled again. "Are you alright? She didn't push you, did she?"
The stallion looked around, as if trying to see the invisible mare. He knew he couldn't, but maybe he'd be able to make her think so.
Glancing back at Muse, he smiled again. "Maybe we should talk about something else? Since your friend is being rude, we just will talk with out her. Maybe about...what you like to do? For fun.

Muse frowned feeling embarrassed as anything. Story was such a pain in her rump and that wasn't thought lightly to herself. This jealousy problem was getting out of hand.
"I'm so sorry.... she gets um sensitive at times. I shouldn't agitate her like that." she lowered her eyes then looked back towards the stallion. He was trying to be sensitive to her predicament and she was thankful of that.
"I'll be fine. Are you alright?" she asked in a blush knowing Tooki really was being polite and caring. She didn't want her "friend" to make a spectacle anymore then she already had. Perking her ears to Tooki's request she pondered a little.
"How would we do that? I mean she's always there" she sighed with a soft grunt. Twitching her muzzle she pondered a little more on his question. What did she like to do? Well there was this and that, and that, and this....
"Let see I love exploring and finding new places to play in. Lying under the summer sky watching the clouds.... " she mused how happy little things had made her even if Story was a royal pain.
"What do you like to do Tooki?" she asked keeping that smile on her face though she had a notion to bite Story watching the two of them.

Tooki tilted his head, listening to her talk about her hobbies. He smiled broadly, "I like to explore too! I'll travel around looking for new places to see, and what sort of things live there. I like lying and looking at the clouds too..sometimes they look like animals or plants. Or, I'll look at the stars at night and pretend they're stories."
He looked about, as if looking for the invisible mare. "If your friend can't be nice, we'll just have to ignore her. She doesn't have a right to be mean....does she?"
He nudged her playfully, "I'm alright, though. I'm tougher than I look."

Seeing animals in the clouds? That she never really did do but it would be quite interesting to have Tooki point them out. What kings of animals and how many existed in the world she wondered. Maybe 1000's down to the complete invisible ones right around their noses. Wow that would be exciting wouldn't it she mused to herself.
"Animals in the clouds? I've always just seen shapes. Think you can point some out to me?" she asked smiling at Tooki forgetting how cross and angry she was with Story. For the moment she didn't care one way or the other what Story felt. She was happy and that's all that counts.
What she did notice out of the corner of her eye though was the next thing Story did. Before she could even tell her to stop it was already done and over with.
Story was sick of them both and their talk. She narrowed her eyes furrowing her wings and purposefully bit Tooki in the shoulder. Not a love tap either but a nasty bite. "Lets see if you feel that stallion. Show me how you know I'm here."
Muse stood horrified looking at Tooki not believing what Story had done. Would he say he felt anything? Would he just look at Muse like she was insane? She frowned that Story could be that jealous to hurt someone like she attempted. Looking at Tooki she worked her mouth to speak, "Are you... alright?" Yes she knew it was foolish to ask and yet her concern really showed through. Tooki was her friend and she cared deeply if he was hurt from something Story caused.

"Sure," Tooki smiled at Muse, nodding slightly. He glanced at the sky, scanning for fluffy white objects. He nodded toward a close by cloud, pointing it out sort of with his nose. "There...see that one? It sorta looks like a rab--OW!"
The stallion turned around, looking for the hidden mare. "Are you crazy? I am not food. Jeeze....meanness."
He looked at Muse, nodding and hiding his wince. "I'm fine, like I said...I'm tough. Just as long as Story doesn't have rabies...."
