Merilir took his time walking through the calm, serene woods. He'd grown up in these trees, learned to love them as a foal, chasing his sisters through them and hiding in their lush greenery. It was a truly peaceful place...so why was something bothering him?

Azure walked though the woods, quite put out indeed. She had experiments that needed tending. Surely Sunilia was quite over reacting. Whisper would come home when he felt like it, and then things would be fine. Really. To pull her away to go traipsing about the woods. And then the worst of it, Sunilia said that they had to split up. Like Whisp could have gone far. Blast it all. If she wasn't with her potions, Azure really, really hated to be alone. She cast out a soft blue glow, but it didn't help much. she shuddered with more then cold as she walked.

Merilir blinked in surprise at the sudden blue glow that illuminated the woods ahead. Always cautious, he answered with a brilliant orange burst of flames, nothing hot enough to harm the trees but certainly enough to counter the blue. "Who goes there?"

She jumped back a bit from the blue glow. "No, you're not Whisp...."

A girl? Merilir frowned somewhat in confusion. "What are you doing here?"

She sighed a bit, looking around. "Getting hopelessly lost."

"Why are you tramping around the woods without knowing your way?" Merilir asked stepping closer. "While this part of the forest is quiet others can be quite dangerous, especially to those that don't know their secrets."

She shrugged. "Sunilia is..." she trailed off and started walking toward shim, eyes seemingly fixed on his shoulder, she looked intent and focused as she moved now.

"hmmmm?" she murmured, distracted as she walked so close to him that her shoulder bumped his. she slid slightly to the side, as though she hadn't noticed, then she went to the tree behind him and pulled off a spray of leaves. she set them on a stone then grinned. "Perfectly"

She lifted the sprig then carefully wove it into her hair. then she blinked a bit. "Ah... what was going on again?"
