It was a bright, sunny morning, a fine day to be out with one's pokemon. That was, unless you didn't have any. Such was the case for Spence. He'd recently begun his career as a trainer when his friend and fellow rock star, Demy Stardust, had returned to the stage one evening with a pair of rare pokemon, who, together with Demy, had taken the entire spotlight off the rest of the band. After having an argument, Spence had set off to acquire some pokemon of his own, ones that could show up his friend's puny little Mews! As yet, he'd been unsuccessful.
The guitarist sat on a large rock just outside the patch of grass he'd been hunting in. He glared at the red and white instrument of catching the little monsters, wondering why the hell it wasn't working.

It was indeed a fine day to be out with one's Pokemon, and while his friend Spence had none of his own Demy was fortunate (and rich) enough to have two. As he strolled down the path, Rockstar sat perched upon his shoulder while Popstar floated along, scouting the path ahead.
It wasn't too terribly long before they neared Spence's little patch of grass. By this time Popstar had floated off quite a distance ahead, and it was he that first spotted the sulking rockstar. With an inquisitive "mew?" the little feline Pokemon did a quick circle around Spence before dashing back to get it's master. Soon enough Demy, now with a Mew perched on each shoulder, came around a bend and spotted his friend and fellow bandmate.
"Hey Spence!"
The blonde grinned and waved, quickly walking down the path towards him.

Spence sat up to swat at the circling figure before he'd realized what or who it was. Recognizing the fleeting form, he quickly tucked the pokeball behind him, trying to look as though he was just relaxing there. He snorted at the youth's greeting. "..Hi," he grumbled, sounding a bit irritating.

"What's up man?"
Demy strolled over, not noticing the irritated tone in Spence's voice. ...Or maybe he simply didn't care.
Once in front of his friend, Demy stood with hands on his hips, and two Mews peering down at Spence.
"Anything good? New music? New babes? Cmon man spill it!"

Spence glared at the pair of mews a bit, before turning his attention back to Demy. "I've been busy... Of course there's always time for babes," the elder trainer smirked a bit, remembering the faces of those in his phone book fondly. "...What about you?"

"Been busy doing what man? I hardly see you besides concerts..."
Demy absently reached up to scritch under Rockstar's chin, who let out a content purr at the attention.
"I haven't been up to much...just the usual, you know."
'The usual' being stealing booze when he could get a hold of it and annoying everyone around him. Nothing new, really.
Already bored, Popstar floated off of Demy's shoulder and over to Spence. Once close enough he reached out and poked at Spence's purple streaked hair. "Mew?"

"Nothing important," Spence lied. He glanced up at Popstar and swatted at him. "Hey, don't touch that!" he growled. "Can't you put a leash on that thing?!"

"Hey, he's not doing anything! Sheesh if you'd stop -swatting- at them maybe they'd ya know...end up liking you."
Demy frowned, watching Spence swat at the floating Pokemon. Popstar was in no real danger, considering he simply moved out of the way of each swat and went back in for another poke. But still, it wasn't cool how Spence kept trying to hit him.
"Pfft, bet when you get one you aren't gonna leash it either."

"How do you know I don't already have one?!" Spence growled, continuing to swat at the persistent little mew. As he flailed, the empty pokeball rolled free and bounced down the rock and onto the ground near Demy's feet.

"Because if you -had- one you'd be showing it to me...right? You'd show your friend wouldn't you?"
Hoboy, he was good at turning the tables. Demy gave his friend a tiny little lip wibble before moving on in the conversation.
"Besides...this is empty."
The young star nabbed the Pokeball from the ground and quickly tossed it back to his friend. Meanwhile, Popstar kept up his assault, now letting out little giggles in between pokes.

"Maybe," Spence grumbled, catching the empty ball. "....How the HELL did you catch those two anyway?!" He pointed a finger at the offending pokemon, hoping to frighten it off.

Demy stared at his friend like he was -nuts-. Catching -a- Mew was already rare enough. Catching TWO would have been ridiculously lucky. Did the other really think he had caught them naturally?
"Um......Spencey. Dude, I didn't -catch- them."
The two mewled, Popstar going still a moment at the pointing before latching onto said finger, and Rockstar remaining perched on Demy's shoulder.
"They were made dude, from DNA files of a Mew!"

It figured...like trainer, like pet. The mew was a dumbass too. Spence growled, shaking his arm to try to get it off. At Demy's words, however, he stopped short. "Made?!...Then how the hell did you get them?" Demy definitely wasn't the scientist type. Hell it was a miracle he new what DNA was in Spence's opinion.

He smirked, tilting his head a bit to watch Popstar. He would have been concerned, but all Spence's flailing did was make the feline giggle more. Apparently Popstar was having fun, and that was enough to assure Demy he was okay.

"..........you....bought them?!" All this hard work trying to catch some damn pokemon and you could just buy them?!?! Spence barely supressed a growl of rage. "Where?!" he demanded. Certainly if the little runt could afford them, he should be able to buy something even better than the mews..yeah! Then he'd get all the attention!!
