"Hmm..." Seth sat comfortably on the couch, flipping through the pages of one of Noe's self-defense books. The main area was basically free of activity at the moment, so the he figured he'd do some light reading to pass the time. These moves seem to make enough sense logically speaking, but reading on how to do something and putting it into practice are two entirely different things. Noe's earlier warning about Hunter left the cheetah Hyte contemplating about his own fighting skills. Or rather, the lack thereof. Sure, he could hunt, but prey were easier to deal with.
Not to say he was worried about Hunter actually attacking him, but given the raccoon Hyte's short temper it couldn't hurt to be wary. Hm, perhaps I could ask Noe to show me how to do some of these moves sometime. Kind of difficult to try with thin air.

Noe had been watching Seth for a moment now. The fact he was reading a self defense book but had his defenses down like that was rather ironic. Slipping up behind him she flopped over the couch to land in his lap with a giggle. "Bang you're dead." She gave him a quick kiss before sitting on the couch more comfortably. "So what's up?" She asked with a smile plucking the book from him. "Plan on taking up self defense classes?" Though she didn't expect it.

"If the assassin is as lovely as yourself then I don't mind," he replied, smiling at the kuppy as she settled in. "Well, no, not really. Or rather, not 'formally' anyway," Seth corrected, scratching the back of his head. "I was actually wondering if you wouldn't mind showing me a few tricks sometime. You could probably use a practice dummy for your class anyway, ne?" He gave her a playful poke in the side after his comment. Hey, the last time the cheetah Hyte had volunteered to be her target, things had turned out rather well. Perhaps things could work out better with this too.

"I don't think you know what you're getting into Seth. Paint balls hurt..." She commented not giving much information past that. "Besides this is new territory I have to learn to use a gun too. I really don't like guns but if it's part of my training." She sighed sitting up for a moment. Taking the book she looked it over flipping through a few chapters to stop at the most basic of self defense. "We can do this chapter. Some hand-to-hand combat techniques. Tosses and grappling. But before teach any of that..." Sitting up even more she ruffled his hair grinning from ear to ear. "I want a kiss worthy of my guy!"

"A kiss, eh?" Seth replied with a small smirk. "Hmm... I'm not sure if I can do that..." He let out a playful growl and leaned in close. "But I suppose I could try." The cheetah Hyte closed the small distance between them and began to kiss her passionately. After a moment they had to pause for breathe, during which he lightly traced a digit down her jawline. "Did that pass your test or will I need to 'practice' some more?"

A soft blush spread across her cheeks as he pressed his lips to hers. The kiss was warm and passionate as he pulled away she held a paw over her mouth shying away for only a brief moment. "Well... I approve." She breathed nipping at his lip one more time before moving away. "We better get started or no one is going to get any training." She giggled. Taking the book she looked it over moving to stand in an open area. "First we should stretch out, don't want to pull anything. Come on!"

Seth was just a bit disappointed when Noe moved away, but he had asked for training after all. "I'm coming..." He got up from the couch and padded after her, pausing to stretch once close by. "So, what shall we be doing first?" he asked, stretching his arms across his torso. This was definitely going to be interesting. At least we're alone right now.

Without warning Noelani launched an attack with a square punch aimed at Seth's jaw. This was her way of seeing his reflexes and how natural he was at defending himself through his animal instincts. Cheetah's were naturally fast he had to rely on that if any of his training were going to sink in. It was a cheap shot but necessary and it did hurt her to do it but she was willing to take him and this training seriously if he wanted it.

Seth instinctively thrust his arms up in front of his face to defend himself while at the same time moving back. Ok, apparently we're hitting the ground running, he though to himself as the punch made contact with his arm. Ow Well, I can deal with that. Just so long as she doesn't hit her mark. The cheetah Hyte backed up a little further, getting into a defensive stance. "Nice punch."

Her usual loving smile returned after the punch had been effectively blocked. Though she saw many openings that she could connect with other moves of her own she left him alone getting the result from her punch she wanted. "Nice block. I'm sorry for the cheap shot but I needed to see where you stand. So far you got that speed on your side." She smiled stretching out a bit a she turned serious green eyes upon him. "Alright I'm going to come at you with everything I have. I'm fast but you're faster so use it... you can out maneuver me. So before we start.. any last words?"

"Do they have to be my last?" Seth replied with a small laugh, readying himself to dodge whatever she tried to throw at him. Alright, let's see if my speed helps in anything else besides sprinting then. Certainly do hope so. "Ready when you are I guess." Somehow he didn't see this ending very well.

She didn't bother with words and only a moment she was standing there with a smirk before she moved forward with a boxer's stance. It quickly opened up to a kick boxing stance before she round a kick square at him, followed by a punch and ending with a sweep of her feet to trip him up. Simple, basic movements but all quite effective in finding his pace. "Don't think of me as your girlfriend. I'm your enemy so defend yourself and when you see an opening... attack!"

Seth was able to successfully dodge her initial kick and punch, but the feet swipe caught him off guard. He managed to land on his paws and retaliated with his own swipe before jumping back up onto his feet. "Best defense is a good offense theory?" he asked, jumping back a bit for more distance.

She just missed his swipe but that was only from years of experience and watching how others moved. He was fast which only confirmed one thing. "You're a natural Seth, you just need to hone your skills." She smiled softly standing up to stretch again. This part of their training over. "Please come here..." Rubbing his back she smiled again before giving him a hug. "So um.. why exactly do you want to know this stuff?"

"Oh, just thought it would be good to know," Seth replied, looking back at Noe with a smile. "Never know when you'll need to defend yourself or others, right? Even if I never have to put this to use, it's still nice to learn." Besides, this gave the two of them something else to do together. That was a pretty nice thing in of itself. The cheetah Hyte lightly wrapped his tail around her waist as she hugged him. "So, how do I go about 'honing my skills' exactly? Practice?"
