She had spent a few days now making her excuses... it had taken the women that had been sent to chase her down a fair while to realise she was missing from the inn where she'd been staying, but as soon as she had come back her report had been issued to the matron, Shyntyl's mother... and of course then the questions had become a good deal more nagging... just what on earth was she doing meeting with a man in an inn...? What in the Underdark did she think she was doing..? This was quite teh set of inappropriate behaviours... she should know better!
Of course and answer had had to be forthcoming... she'd had to find a way to explain herself... a bodyguard... a mercenary that she had debated hiring for an errand that she had to run... she needed to travel, she had a friend to see and she did not wish the danger of making the trip alone. Assassins were good at what they did, but when coupled with a warrior to aid them, well, they were a great deal more effective... he would fight with her and make sure she made the trip safety.
That had then of course presented her with a problem. She could think of a trip easily enough. And she was happy enough to make one... but it did also mean that she would have to bring Ryn to her once again.. .and she'd been hoping not to have to do that... of course she had liked him well enough.. he had been a delight between the bed sheets and she would happily have had a tumble with him again.. but the rush of delight at having a reason to see him once more had been... well, in short, rather unsettling... she didn't wish to have come to rely on someone. She didn't need people, she didn't do needing... she didn't do wanting.. lusting, yes, she was prone to that.. but not anything more.
He was nice however... and for a moment there was almost... almost something... she'd felt something for him that she rather wanted to keep pushed away from her just now... how would seeing him again affect that her..? Really...? She hoped it wouldn't do too much, but she couldn't be certain, she had seen him in her mind more than once, a couple of times actually... okay.. almost each night since she'd left the inn, but damnit.
She didn't need to see him again... Though she really wanted to... it seemed like a good bet to keep her identity a little... secret... however... She' had word sent out to him that he needed to meet a client in a rather seedy bar in the main city of the west dark. It was a common enough meeting place, and fairly far away from where they had stayed before. She'd covered her face with a heavier veil than usual and a large cloak as well to go with it.. a slight lowering to her voice was all it took to, in er mind at least, keep it concealed, and the young maid she'd had to help her had told her it sounded different enough as well...
He wouldn't know her.
Not that she thought he'd care...
But she didn't want him to know her regardless. She'd tell him she had a horrid disfigurement or something... sensitive eyes and that if he saw her she'd have to kill him... something like that...
With a slightly irritated sigh she leant back against the wall of the room she was waiting for him in... he had better show or she'd find him and box his ears for it... then throw him down and- Woah! That was enough of that thought... more than enough... She just had to get this trip over and done with. It'd be fine.... when she worked out where they were actually going to go...

He...was utterly pathetic. Ryn had spent the past few days in that room. He had left only once, and that was just to get a new whetstone for his blade. The rest of the time? He had lounged in the room, watched the window, and ordered room service. The place had pretty good food actually. Hopefully Shyn wouldn't have a problem paying for it all. Not that Ryn went nuts with the ordering. Just the simple basic fare of bread and a bit of meat. And a lot of ale.
When the messenger came, Ryn had to admitt that he had high hopes that this unknown person would be Shyn. Who else would know where he was hanging out? Maybe she wanted to set up another 'bet'? The prospect of a female willing to play such interesting games put a wide grin on Ryn's face for the rest of the day. He bathed...twice. Just to make certain he wasn't dirty or had missed anything. He scrubbed his armor spotless, and took a bit extra care tieing his hair up so there were no fly away hairs. That could come later once he got her fingers to sink into the red and white strands.
Thus prepared, Ryn confidently set off for the bar. It was...not that nice of a place. In fact it seemed even worse then the place he had met Shyn in. The grin faltered, and died in a short period of time upon entering the place. If Shyn had not liked the place she had found him in then surely she'd not request to meet him here? Ryn slowly loosened the binding on his sword as he moved through the tavern. he didn't like it here...Ryn did not mind the rough and rowdy crowds, but he had some standards and this place irritated his noble blood terribly....

"You there..." Shyn had purposely lowered her voice as she stepped away from the wall towards Ryn as she saw him enter... she'd felt her breath catch in her throat when she'd seen him. All hope that she'd gotten over him had gone from her in that instant. She was far to happy to see him again... and dear god was he still ever so lovely to look at... She very nearly gave herself away when she caught sight of his pretty yellow eyes..
As soon as she saw him step into the room, she was already ready to just walk up to him and wrap her arms around his neck, mess that lovely neat hair up and.. oh... there were those thoughts that needed to stop right away...
She'd shaken her head.. she had to go on with her plan.
"You are the one I'm waiting for, correct..?" She'd made sure the hooded cloak was pulled down well over her eyes, covering almost all of her face, and shrouding the rest in heavy shadows. She didn't want to be known.. "You are for hire..? Yes? Can you fight? Are you good...?" She knew he was.. Oh Goddess! So not the time for this... "Are you strong..?" His arms were.. Aaaugh! "I have a mission to fulfil. I have to make a trip. I need to go somewhere... I wish to have someone with me to keep me safe." She folded her arms.. he cloaked stance imperious. "I wish to have a body guard..." She also wanted him to do a damn site more to her body than just guard it...
Really.. So not the time...

Ryn paused in his steps when he heard someone address him. He turned and looked...at a heavily covered figure. Well... that couldn't be Shyn. The voice wasn't right. And Ryn felt quite the bit of dissappointment. He turned to face the individual, female he was guessing under the roved, and he crossed his arms over his chestplate. Ryn's yellow eyes swept searchingly over the form before him. "It's possible." He replied in a guarded tone at first.
"I am a mercenary for hire, and I can fight. As for being good..I am not dead yet so I think that speaks for itself." She wanted to hire him as a body guard? Ryn tilted his head a little and allowed his lips to form a thoughtful frown. "Where is it your traveling to? How long will the trip be? Who else will be traveling with you?" He asked pointed questions while he considered what sort of fee he might be able to price for the job. "What traveling arrangements do you have in mind? By foot, mount, or carrige?"

Shyn couldn't help the small smile that lifted her lips... he was so guarded suddenly... so very guarded... yet as he'd walked in he hadn't been... for just a moment she considered what he might have been expecting... her maybe..? Psh. That was hoping for too much it had to be said... oh was this necessary..? This charade...? Probably... she'd be being watched for now, at least until she was out of the city... she was hoping to give the impression of age.. he deeper voice a little croaky like that of an elderly female.
"I am travelling to the South for a time. I have business there to speak with someone, the real purpose of the meeting is of little or no consequence to our dealings here." She wrinkled her nose slightly under her hood... he was a beautiful one, that was for sure.. "You are correct that your survival speaks for itself. My trip will be the journey there... a couple of weeks I should think. And we will go on lizards. I have a pair myself... they will do us nicely..." she fell silent again... Goddess talking like this was going to make her throat hurt... "It will be me and me alone... I will be trusting you with my safety..." Again she felt her finger twitch.. she wanted to go and touch him, but in her current state of dress that would be a bad plan.. she wanted him to agree to work for her.. of course at first she had thought having him deny her request would be better... but now..? Now she simply wished that he would accept her request...
"I can pay you well, if that is what you are worrying about. And I can afford to pay for residence along the way. As few nights as possible will be spent in the open caves." She let her speech trail off.. what would he answer..?

The last thing he wanted was to be dragging some crone through the underdark. He had something else he'd rather be doing...but...hanging around here in the hopes of Shyn coming to call was rather sad... Ryn's eyes slipped towards the door as he considered the females words. He really should leave. if he ended up embaressing himself anymore it could lead him down a bad path. he needed the work after all, and really...the odds of Shyn coming back for another go round seemed pretty low. She surely would have come back by now if she was interested. Maybe he had come off as too familar?
"Five gold a day that it takes in travel time. Twenty gold per day that results in some sort of conflict. You will pay for what rooms we use along the way..." Ryn tilted his head and pursed his lips. A faint flicker of an idea shimmered in his eyes. "And if I get you there in under two weeks I keep the Lizard." He could not resist adding the slight hinting of a challenge and a bet to his negotiations. It just...made it all the more fun...

Shyn felt herself smile, he was shrewd, that was for sure... the man she'd hooked up with. "Two weeks for my lizard...?" she queried. "I don't know about that. It's a long journey and two weeks may just kill the creature I'll keep for myself should I agree to this bet..." She folded her arms, she wanted to agree to the bet... she really did, but would it give her away..? Did old women simply give into bets like that..?
"We'll see about that bet though.." She stated, leaning back against the wall. "I'll set the pace I think.... though if we make it there quickly I may up the pay for the last few days..." She didn't really want to pay him.. not really... but equally it would be a terrible idea to go and give herself away now... she'd just have to hold up the illusion until they were out of the city at the very least, then she could just slip away... leave him some small amount of payment and be done with things. "When I see how good you are at your job we'll see about the time challenge. Five gold for a normal day. Twenty for conflict... it seems a little steep, but I suppose you can charge what you will. I haven't the time to fuss over it just now." She lifted a hand to brush him off, she needed to get away from him again, pull herself together.. Ryn was... well, he was far more tempting to her than any male had ever been before... she just wanted to... well, bluntly she just wanted to have him again, even the foul smell of their meeting point couldn't dampen that little craving...
She definitely needed to harden her mind against him before they actually set off. "One hour. Meet by the southern exit of the city in one hour. I'll give you three days pay in advance if you turn up on time." She walked past him a rather pleased smile on her face, not that he could see it...
They'd travel together..
Two weeks if they went as far as the Southdark..
Oh Goddess that shouldn't make her as happy as it did.... for now though she needed to head back to the room she'd hired out once again and pack her things... she only had an hour after all.

That was...dissappointing. Not that Ryn was intent or very interested in obtaining a lizard of his own. Odds are he'd have sold it in the city. Lizards required upkeep and feeding and just... a lot more attention then he was willing to give to a animal. But the lack of the challenge. Well... He supposed that he would have to force himself to take the job for the gold alone.
"My prices may be steep, but they will garuntee that you arrive alive. And honestly, isn't your continued survival worth that price at the very least?" Ryn shifted his stance from one foot to the other and he cocked his head with a hint of arrogant assurance.
"Your more then free to re-negotiate the price as we travel. I mean, if you die I'll gladly refund everything you've paid me. And if I die I'm willing to take a serious cut to the amount your paying me." He was going to lose the job... If he couldn't bite his tongue.
Surpriseingly though, the female passed him by..and accepted his terms? Ryn fought to keep his disbelief concealed, though it was a bit hard. "Yes. of course. In an hour. I shall be waiting." A hour...one hour... Ryn followed the female out of the nasty tavern and turned his steps back to the room that Shyn had allowed him to use.
An hour... He had just one hour left. One hour to wait and...what? One hour left for her to show up before he left? Why did his stomach feel tight all of a sudden? Ah, perhaps he'd been hoping to make use of all the days she had paid for. To wait and see if she appeared. It seemed too soon. Too sudden. Why did this feel like his last chance? That once he left it would be gone?
Maybe that was for the best? His interest in Shyn was too intense. Dangerouse really. He couldn't stay here after all. But...Goddess, she really was something. Well, at least he would have some wonderful memories of this city... Ryn shook his head to clear it of the thoughts that clouded them. He'd go get his things and wait for his client he supposed.

A fair bout of coughing back in her current rooms and a nice large cup of wine did a little to soothe the poor nobles throat. Not her most inspired plan, she had to admit, lowering her voice in a way that made her feel quite uncomfortable... but she would have to deal with it. It was this or very literally just throw herself at Ryn again... Goddess she shouldn't be this caught up on someone... especially not a male... honestly..? She couldn't remember the last time she had actually found a male attractive... she rested her chin on her hand thoughtfully as she stared into the mirror at her vanity table. Of course it was her families bizarre attitude towards men that had caused her to look elsewhere in the first place.... but... she'd never expected to find one that she could actually envision having an interest in.
Naturally it couldn't be allowed to continue... if she took a real liking to him and actually opted for spending her time with him, well, her family would ensure that the rest of his life would be spent with her.... the only downside to that would be that the rest of his life would be considerably shorter than even he'd expect... until the day she could be confirmed to be carrying a daughter in fact... so depending on his luck and the skill of the mage requested to confirm the gender of the child... as little as maybe four months. It was a bleak way to live, and easily explained her pleasure in female companny. Her mother did not approve... no no indeed. But equally she would never wish ill against her own gender...
Ryn, while beautiful in his own right, was on no level a woman... certainly not, and she'd be daft to try and convince anyone otherwise. With a sigh she sat up again, over the years it had been suggested that there may be ways around her family and it's hideous attitude... she'd found holes in every notion... leave home; they'd find her. Hide well; they were not above using the arcane to track her, they'd done it before when she was gone several months without a purpose. The sisters stuck together... that was how their house worked... if you left you were brought back, if you would not come back willingly you were forced, if you fought, you may well be killed... not really what she wanted from life... she cursed her luck at being born into such a house... why couldn't she had been free...? Ariadne had suggested killing her mother, as she had, Shyntyl being the eldest would inherit the house, but the flaw her was she was one among many... the other sisters all followed the rules with delight, often pleasure... she alone wanted more it seemed... so that wasn't a good idea either.
Basically she was well and truly stuck, and she knew it. She could never really allow herself to grow fond of a male as one way or another her family would proceed to make things nigh on impossible for them, and probably fatal for him... it was just not good. Not good at all... and it worried her intensely the amount of... attraction, it was too soon to say feeling, she was encountering whenever she saw, or thought about Ryn... they had only been together two days... and apart another four, yet the former felt like... well... a while... and the latter felt like forever... it was the real reason she had gone through with hiring him, she wanted to see him even if he couldn't see her. Her name "The unseen" was working well for her just now, if she could keep him from recognizing her it would be all the better...
Either way, she could not keep him waiting too long, the bath she had had, and the time it had taken her long hair to dry had eaten up almost all of her time already, and the change of clothing she had settled on, her own now, under the heavy cloak for the sake of comfort had taken nearly the remainder in its full capacity. It did not take her long to shove her remaining possessions away once more, she was used to travelling light, and, before stepping over to the door she swung the heavy cloak up and over her shoulders once again. The fabric was dense, and it was sewn in such a way as to give the impression of a greater deal of mass being concealed under it than Shyntyl actually possessed. She was slight, and very petite, the cloak made her look somewhat more dumpy and heavy set. She wore her own clothes, the purple corset that she so loved, tightly fitted black trousers that clung to her legs like a second skin, clothes that would never snag on things as she moved. Her gloves she had had to change, the ones she wore usually were shoved in her pack, thick, full rough wool once covered her hands to conceal the delicate fingers with their well cared for nails. Her veil was gone, as was her head scarf, they were pushed into her bag as well as the hood did plenty to cover her face, just as the cloak utterly hid her figure... it was a workable disguise. Loose fitted trousers were pulled on over her own in case the cloak parted. An old woman would not have her legs... that she was well aware of. As she left her room she barked a command that her two lizards were to be taken down to the south gate for her, and a weeks worth of feed was to be added to their packs. They'd find another stop within a week she was sure.
The walk down to the gates was easy enough. In the city it was not unusual for people to not wish to have their faces seen... it was almost a habit for Shyn... so many years of training, long since past now... had drummed it into her head that she should never leave her face exposed... that was why she wore the veil... hide who you are so none may recognise you should you be caught. It made sense she supposed, it was more a habit nowadays than a belief for her, but she still didn't like to step out with her face unhidden... it just made her feel, well, naked... and while she was often fairly comfortable being unclothed, that was just not a sensation that should be experienced on the street. Just now, lacing her veil, she was very... very grateful for the heavily hooded cloak.
People would move out of her way, or she would push them, her voice currently, clearly that of a young woman, why hide it until she was at the gate? She was running late, very slightly, but such was her prerogative she felt. If the male waited her deserved the job. She smiled at the thought, that logic was going to be harder to keep once she saw him again... 'the male' wasn't going to be the title she'd refer to him as in her mind... he was Ryn and she knew that well. Feigning indifference to him was nigh on impossible, she was... he was... well, they worked well together in some senses, and she didn't really want to pass up on the opportunity to enjoy that again... but! And damn the thoughts for coming back... there were all the reasons she'd outlined earlier that made spending more time with him than she absolutely had to a really terrible idea! And time spent with him as herself, without this disguise was utterly out of the question...
As she neared the gate she forced herself back into the mindset of the woman she was trying to be. Older, haughtier, noble and proud of it, expectant of service not wittiness. Basically her mother... she snorted once at the thought. Oh well... at least she'd had many lessons to draw on in behaving this way, even if it was almost the polar opposite to her usual set of behaviours. She was far more lenient with what was deemed 'proper respect to women' in this dark realm. She walked over to the young male, only a child still, who stood with her two fidgeting lizards. "Good lad, now be gone with you!" She stated in her elder voice, pressing, subtly a small silver coin into his hand. He'd been a good lad, he'd run a good deal of messages for her in her stay and she'd had every intention of rewarding him. She had debated attempting to be awkward when she mounted the creature, but her pride in her own abilities would not allow for it, and she simply swung herself up onto the beasts back. Her mother could still ride well, so why should this old crone be any different, she supposed.
After that, and with the second set of reigns in her hand she simply sat there, she knew Ryn would come, the pay she had agreed on was beyond good, and he would not prove himself daft by refusing it she was sure. If he did then he'd not deserved her attentions in the first place... she smiled however... travelling with him, even in this strange secretive manner would be enjoyable. She could at least look then.... that was one little pleasure she could allow herself.

For the hour, Ryn sat on the bed and looked about the room. It wasn't a memorable room in his opinion. Sure, it had some nice accessories and it was better then any of the places he had slept in for the past year. But what truely ruined it was the lacking female presence. How had he gotten so comfortable with Shyn after just two day's? It wasn't natural...and it was best that he left now before he became a fool. It wasn't like he could gain anything from her really. If he stayed eventually he'd be found and then what? How would he explain to Shyn about Sshamath? The city had a reputation of being heretical by name alone. Reguardless of the fact Lloth was worshipped there. The very fact Males were allowed to rule beside females..well... Ryn still had a hard time giving the b***h priestesses their 'due respect'.
When Ryn finally managed to drag himself from the room, he forced himself to leave while denying himself the urge to leave some form of note or letter for Shyn. She was not coming back. She was done with him. So long as he kept this in mind he knew he'd be capable of ridding his lingering thoughts of the woman. Getting out of the bed they had rolled aorund with helped as well..but.. Damnation. He could almost smell her scent on his cloths somehow...
His thoughts were distracted as he shouldered his way through the crowd. He'd gotten used to the fact that no matter how purposefully he strode, no other drow was going to clear a path for him. It was one of the trade offs for this lifestyle he wished to pursue. Ryn's yellow eyes swept the crowd searchingly. This waas the place right? Perhaps he should have asked for a more specific landmark?
It was, thankfully, the pair of lizards that caught his eye. With the bulky female figure atop, he assumed that she was his earlier contact. With a glance towards the lizards, Ryn carefully approched. It would have been far easier to know if she was the right person if he had seen her face at least once already.
"Ho?" He called questioningly to the female figure and waited for her response to determin if he had just hailed the wrong drow.

"I was late, but you were even later." Came the woman's response as she was joined by the male she had been waiting for. It was gratifying to know that she currently bore no resemblance to herself. He would have reacted with more certainty she was sure, had she given herself away somehow. Sure there was that little part of her that really wished she had.... that wished he'd just look at her with some kind of recognition, but she knew that wasn't going to happen, and it certainly wouldn't be good for her either. THat would make things more complicated... she had to remember that.
"It doesn't matter though. You're here now. I'm here now. We're all well and good. So I suggest we start moving now, you were not early so I shan't need to pay you in advance." She was trying to make herself a little disagreeable. She didn't need him getting curious or wondering about her. "But I shall pay you a the end of each day. So when we stop tonight you shall have some of your payment." She had brought some money with her, not enough to pay for the whole trip of course as she planned to be gone fairly early one, but enough for a good few days at the very least. Maybe three...? She could allow herself to stay around him for three days right?
It wasn't going to be easy though... looking at him was a torment in itself. A rather delicious kind of torment of course, but torment none the less.
She urged her lizard on, moving him out of the gates of the city, before pushing him a little to increase the speed of their travelling, she wanted them to get away from the city as fast as they could so that at least a little of the pressure of her situation was removed. If she only had to watch out for him then she wouldn't have to worry quite so much... fooling one was easier than fooling many.
She planned to have them ride for a few hours of a morning, then take a break for some food in the early afternoon, then ride a few hours of an afternoon, then stop for an evening meal and the night. It would give them between six and ten hours of travel a day depending on how far they decided to go, how easy food was to come by and that sort of thing. She tried to stay mostly quiet during the ride, the voice she had chosen hurt her throat and she also didn't really want to fall into easy conversation with Ryn. Not when she was planning to leave him.
For the first few nights at least she knew she wasn't going to be able to find them anywhere nice to stay, and that camping out in the caves would probably be the safest bet for them, as only the dingiest, probably dangerous places actually existed around the first few miles of outskirts around the West Dark. When they got a little further away things would look up, she was sure of that. Wait.... she wasn' t meant to be travelling that far with him.. Goddess... what was wrong with her..?
As time trickled by however things were getting more than a little difficult to handle. Each time he stood anywhere near her she wanted to touch him, she wanted to tell him who she was.. she want to... well, once again being blunt she wanted to throw off the hideous mass of clothing she was currently wearing and just have her Goddess damned way with him. That was certainly going to be something really rather... difficult though. Could she tell him...?
They'd been on the road for a few days by the time the idea started to really weigh on her... she was leaving, yes, she had to, but what did it matter if she maybe just spoke to him once? As herself rather than the old crone who wouldn't give her name away...? Regardless... they were going to have to stop soon anyway and it was still a couple of hours to the next decent rest stop after the cave that they were currently passing. "We'll stop here." She called out, her voice a little less rasping than it had been on previous days. "I don't want to be travelling for as many hours as it will taken to get to the next stop off point. So here will do."
She pointedly slowed her lizard down and pushed herself off of it's back. Her movements as well were smoother now than they had been for the last few days, she didn't see the point in hiding her ability to move smoothly now either... she even stood up a little straighter. Would he notice? If he did she supposed she could tell him. She could... possibly, tell him anyway... or at least leave a note when she left... or something...
There she was again... going completely against her original plan...
"You don't object to stopping do you..?" Her voice was still a little lighter. "Unless of course you're worried it will eat into your two weeks..." With that she stepped well away from him and into the cave opening she had selected as a place to stop.

Ryn gave the dumpy female a short glare of a look. She was fortunate he had come to accept the fact he needed to get out of this city. he needed to get away from Shyn before he started looking for her. It wasn't a good idea to get so...interested. To the point it was becoming a threat really. As in, a threat to his common sense. The sooner he was out of the city, the sooner he could brush her from his mind and carry on. He mounted the lizard that had been provided, and focused on directing it out of the gate without letting it lead the way itself. How long had it been since he'd actually riddena mount? A few years now it had to be.
Damn, he was going to chafe.
Pushing the thought away, Ryn focused on doing his job..which...proved to be pretty damn easy. Ryn allowed the female to set the pace, as he had no invested interest in arriving sooner. He'd not recieve the lizard he was sure. So he may as well take his time and rack up a few extra days worth of payment right?
The trip was uneventual for the most part, and Ryn honestly would have preferred it not to be. The first day of the trip he caught himself constantly glanceing over his shoulder. The pull of the city was horrible. The desire to return and look for Shyn nagged at him. It was rather difficult reminding himself that she had left. She had not come back. She was done with him. Ryn had been left before by temporary lovers...but none of them had stirred such a flame inside of him the way Shyn had.
In the short days that had followed. Ryn found himself stoicly focusing on his job. His employeer was hardly the chatty sort, which left Ryn's mind to itself..and to Shy. He found himself dealing with some very personal uncomfortable problems as well. Such as waking in the morning and being...well...He needed privacy for certain first thing in the morning...and sometimes even before bed. His thoughts of Shyn simply would not leave him alone!
This much became obvious to him one night when his employeer called for a stop a bit earlier then normal. Ryn slipped from his mount, grateful as always for the codpiece in his low waisted pants that saved him from painful embaressment after a full day of rocking in a saddle and thinking of Shyn. Stupid old b***h. Why couldn't she at least distract him by being sarcastic and sharp tongued like most old maids?
Ryn took hold of the lizards reigns, and moved to collect the old woman's mount as well. Yes. His mind and pent up sexual thoughts had to be playing him with hallucinations now. He could almost swear he could detect some sort of similarity between the old womans voice and Shyns. And she certainly seemed to be moving a bit more...energetically..
Goddess...he would take his own sword to his nether regions if he had gotten so bad that he'd begin to eye a wrinkled ugly crone with lustful thoughts.... Ryn shook his head and bount the lizards to a rock before entering the cave behind the old woman.
"Bah. Whether we reach the city or not in two weeks hardly matters so long as i get my pay. The bet is old and no longer interesting." he replied while keeping his gaze purposefully directed away from the cloaked female.

Ryn's complaining words made Shyn smile very slightly as she made her way into the cave. It wasn't the nicest place in the world, but she could make it comfortable enough for the night. She had a set of blankets with her, one she could sleep on, the other she could hang up to give herself some privacy, which meant she could use the cloak as a cover and keep herself warm as she slept.
"Giving up on forging a bet. You disappoint me." She stated, her words still far lighter than they had been. Oh Goddess she did not miss that horrible old crones voice. She far preferred her own tone, though her throat was a little sore, that was for sure.
She dropped her things down when she had found an area of the cave that she decided was suitable for sleeping on. There was a small out crop on either side of a little indent. She could hook a blanket up there and keep herself hidden away... though... she looked down at her hands, her uncovered, feminine, young hands... she could just tell him. She could give the game away... She was supposed to just be leaving tonight, hiding herself away and vanishing as he slept... or... she could kiss him. Spend the night with him as herself... rather than this nameless old hag... what did she want...?
That was a simple question to answer... but what should she do?
She knew already what she planned to do however. She knew she wouldn't leave. She'd not ever really planned to actually leave... of course she had been saying 'oh soon we'll be far enough from the town to make a runner..' but that had never really been what she'd intended to do... what she was really saying, but wouldn't admit to was 'soon I'll be far enough away that they'll not be looking for me any more...' Her family knew she was going to the South, but they didn't know the route she planned to take. She'd been pretty careful not to tell them a damn thing about that. They didn't need to know.
"Cease your complaining anyway." She stated, her voice probably giving the way she was smiling. "Now get over here and help me remove this cloak. The fabric is really terribly heavy." She lifted her hands to give the ties on the cloak a little tug to pull them looser so that if he actually did come to help her it would make things easier.
"Come on. I'm paying you enough to at least be of a little assistance. Don't tell me you don't know how to treat a lady Ryn..." once again her voice was more than a little teasing. "Hurry hurry, we might have all night but that doesn't mean I want to waste it..." And nor would he she was sure when he actually knew... she hoped... no. She was sure.. He'd liked her, at the very least in the physical sense.

Ryn's attention was gratefully redirected for a time as he inspected the cave. He always made himself familar with their camping surroundings, just in case something did occur and something appeared to threaten them. he was grateful his precautions had not needed to be tested thus far, but he was not going to relax his vigilence in the least because of it.
Ryn paused in his exploration of the cave at the crones words. Was it really his imagination that made her voice sound so much more pleasent? He had to be utterly desperate for pleasureable company to be imagining such things. Goddess. Had Shyn cursed him maybe? Placed some sort of spell on him so he'd think about her obsessively...Goddess help her if he found out she had dosed him with some sort of love or lust potion...because he'd hunt that fine a** down and show her just what a single minded male could do with a soft and hot body like her's...and oddly? Not a single thought that flickered through his mind was unpleasent.
Ryn took a few steps towards the crone, and scowled at her orders. Bossy old b***h wasn't she? So like most of the females outside of Sshamath...actually even the ones inside tended to be a little bitchy as well. His sisters had proven that to him.
"Your paying me to keep you alive." Ryn complained as he crossedover to the old woman. He would help her with her cloak reguardless of his words. Though he'd have little interest in being gentle or happy about it. He could just kill her and take the money she had...but...Ryn was no assassin and he was no thief. These things he took pride in and he'd not let some bossy wrinkled hag push him towards either.

"If you're here to protect me then don't let me drown in fabric." She stated, her voice teasing. She couldn't hel[p but mock him just a little. She wouldn't stay still for too long however. As soon as his he even neared her, without even waiting to see if he caught hold of the heavy fabric she shrugged the large cloak off of her shoulders, walking a few steps forward only to pause, lean down and push the horrible lumpy trousers off of her legs as well, her own, rather more fitted attire was concealed underneath them. Though she'd not been wearing the veil or headdress of course.
With a small smile on her lips she straightened up having pushed the trousers from her legs, she looked up at Ryn, her face alight with a rather saucy little smile. "You complain a lot you know.." She stated with a chuckle. "And you're not as quiet as you think you are in the mornings." She lifted a hand and brushed it back through her hair. "Goddess though, it's good to be out of those horrid things... you have no idea how much cheap fabric scratches... " She grinned at him then, just rather happy to be away from the city and dressed as herself once more. "By the spider it's good to be me..."
