Melody has to admit; maybe she got a LITTLE carried away. A large gift bag in one hand, adorned with enough cheesy mylar balloons to quite possibly carry her away were she not ballooned to a ridiculous size, guitar slung over her other shoulder, portable amp clipped to her waist...
Really, is all this necessary? Probably not, Melody reasons, but she has to admit it was a lot of fun! Besides, she's sure Hitsuga will appreciate her efforts to welcome him to the neighborhood, introduce him to Gaian technology, AND introduce him to the finest music there is, all in one fell swoop.
Humming, she double-checks the address, smooths her skirt (She's even extra-careful to wear clothing no Porcelain will consider scandalous!), and knocks.

Hitsuga starts at the sudden knock, which breaks the silence he has been enjoying the last few hours. What had begun as simply arranging the essences, oils, and equipment on the tabletop had quickly landslided into wanting to try them. In the end, he had succumbed to his artists' urges and was, currently, in the midst of creating what was shaping up to be a decidedly berry-and-light-floral product.
He immediately sets aside his instruments, grabbing up a small cloth to wipe any residual oils away from his hands as he hurries through the house to answer the call, giving an open, polite projection to whomever may be there that he's on his way.
He reaches the door and opens it a moment later to reveal....Lady Melody! 4laugh ......and balloons. eek .....and a bag. And....oh my... sweatdrop
He quickly collects himself from the shock and offers her warm greetings. It is a great pleasure to see her again. How are she and her little one faring today?

It's been so looooooooooooooong, Melody projects. Even if it's been a little more than a week for Hitsuga, it's been two long months for Melody, and she's still adjusting to the time difference. Perhaps this could be a new form of jet lag? If anyone would be familiar with that sort of thing, it'd be her great-uncle...
She immediately breaks off her private thoughts and thrusts the bag (and balloons) outward, a large grin on her face. Presents! Daddy said there were new things afoot in the neighborhood, so of course Melody had to come wish Hitsuga the VERY VERY BEST, especially since he's her first new friend, as he remembers, and that's cause for celebration, right? And--
Ohhhhhhhh. She suddenly stops again, bringing her free hand to her lips. Hitsuga hasn't heard, has he? ninja

The perfumer is more than a bit bewildered as the bag and its colorful floaty appendages is shoved at him, and reflexively takes it in his own hands, shying away from one of the balloons as it briefly nuzzles his face.
The bewilderment, however, is accompanied by a sincere thank you. This...this is most wonderful of her...! He'd never expected...
This is cut short as he blinks at her projected surprise, and then secrecy, cocking his head questioningly. Hasn't heard? he inquires.
Inwardly, he chides himself for forgetting his manners and steps aside. Would Lady Melody like to come inside? sweatdrop He is afraid he doesn't have much to offer yet as far as hospitality goes, but anything he has, she is most welcome to. Some tea, maybe?

No, no, Hitsuga shouldn't have to offer Melody anything! In fact, she brought a few things for him to enjoy. There's a toaster, because every home needs a toaster-- it toasts bread, and frozen waffles, and bagels, and pop tarts. Very handy!
And Melody also brought chocolate covered strawberries, because she thinks he might like them! But because chocolate has milk in it, she also included those pills they talked about in the grocery store-- the kind that will let him eat dairy products with no trouble at all!
But really, really, Melody's fine and doesn't need anything. She and the babies are just fine! 3nodding

A toaster...? He's about to ask how such a thing works, except his train of thought is derailed by her mention of pop tarts. Given the soda he'd been introduced to just yesterday, his mind is left to run wild on what those could possibly be and how literally he ought to take their name. Maybe they exploded when bitten...

Gaians ingested the oddest things.
Coupled with the explanation of the chocolate strawberries and pills, its a bit too much to take in for the moment, and he privately decides its best hold off on questions until they can tease apart the tangle of confusion one item at a time.
He moves to set the bag down on the inside countertop before returning his attention to her, again inviting her inside with a smile.
He is most happy to hear that she is doing well. 3nodding And if she -does- end up needing anything for her or the babies she need not hesitate to--
...wait, 'babies'? eek

It is at this point he allows himself to actually -look- at her now that she is not hiding behind a large bag and he is not being distracted by colorful floaty things.

He quickly collects himself, offering his apologies, and a nervous laugh. He is sorry for such a reaction. Truly, Lady Melody deserves better of him. Its just....he hadn't thought THAT much time had passed since their last meeting sweatdrop

Well, to be honest, Melody had spent quite a bit of time in the Silver World...Space Danish... thing. sweatdrop So she's still trying to adjust to the time difference. It's so weird, she points out, to stay two months somewhere, come back, and see that very little time at all has passed.
But it gave her a chance to learn more about Porcelain! Being born on Gaia to a father who barely remembers what life before Gaia was like, having a grandmother who's from another PLANET and a half-human Auntie and a funny mix of species for a cousin and three adorable girls born from rocks as nieces...! And to top all that off, most Gaia Porcelain are just like Daddy! --Well, in that they probably don't remember much before Gaia, Melody means.
Melody stayed with a really nice dollmaker named Jin who took her to Porcelain doctors who said the babies are very alert, Melody got to go see fortune-tellers and Jin even bought Melody a BEAUTIFUL picture book to share with the chibis, and Melody's even learning how to play the zither! 3nodding

He boggles a bit at the explanation. Lady Melody, then, has....been to the Silver World? He admittedly knows only what he has read in particular research publications about such things. He was unaware, however, that a way to get there had been found...
He listens to the rest of what she says with polite attentiveness, though inwardly finds it most strange. The research he'd read suggested that the Silver World, at least the one being studied, was home to spirits and rogue elementals. ....yet she had met other Porcelain there?
He keeps that musing walled away, in favor of taking interest on her final point.
The zither is a beautiful instrument, he tells her. One of his favorites, in fact. He should very much like to hear Lady Melody's playing if she should ever care to perform. 3nodding

Well, Melody clarifies, it's not the REAL Silver World? Daddy really would know more about that, but perhaps Great-Grandpa Setsutsu would know more than him? Melody is not sure!
But as for her zither playing... well... Melody doesn't really have a zither at the moment, and she'd spent more time learning to read Porcelain notation than actually perfecting her technique, but when she's more practiced, she'd LOVE to play for Hitsuga!
As luck would have it, though, she DID bring her guitar. And that little amp she was telling him about! So she can at least play SOMETHING for him.

He is unsure of what's real and what isn't when it comes to the Silver World as it is a bit of an abstract subject to begin with. But as Melody has actually BEEN there, and he's only read about it, he's willing to wager that she, likely, knows more than he does. sweatdrop
But, to change the subject, it would be his honor to hear Lady Melody play her guitar. 4laugh

Well then! If Hitsuga will excuse Melody for a second...
First, to find an angle that allows for her to comfortably play the guitar around her large belly... then to tune... then to rev the amp up a little bit...
Ahem.
This, she (elegantly!) informs Hitsuga, is a modern rendition of an old classic, Pachelbel's Canon.
And a-one, and a-two, and...
This would be Melody's cue to rock out.

Hitsuga, for his part, wasn't sure what he'd been expecting. Her guitar looked to be a relatively-small instrument.
....it becomes apparent to him, however, from the moment the first chord is struck, that it did NOT produce a relatively-small noise to match eek
He believes (somewhere amid feeling like the song Melody is playing is physically blowing his hair back) that he has -never- heard music like this before, in his own world OR this one.

When Melody finishes, she has to shake her wrists out a bit; aaah, it's been a while since she'd played something like THAT and improvised THAT much.
